There is an automated process for banning on DCs. However that person DC'ing to get flowers... If they are playing 45 matches to get all their vials and DC'd 10 times... They most likely didn't break the threshold and won't be banned.
Where were you when that last ban wave hit?...

They need to overhaul their entire match making process. I don't think their server or serverS can handle it.
It seems like every time their system is over run with an influx of players it comes to a screeching halt.
The current problem is probably a result of not enough survivors or too many killers, but more so not enough computing power to fill lobbies quick enough.
People have been complaining about match making since the beginning so now there is probably some massive process that the MMR goes through to fill lobbies which is just being overloaded now with too many players trying to get the event done.

Not unless survivor's reward was tied to escaping. Cause it wouldn't matter if you were killed if you got all your vial filled.
In fact it is better to be killed right after you get your vial full, cause you can just get into the next match.
I wouldn't have an issue getting myself killed off to help the killer if they helped me get my vial full first.

Well since there is an event.. chances of anyone getting banned for farming gonna probably be nil.
Plus... PS4... So unless the Devs have actually setup a ban system on there.... No one gets banned on consoles right now.
It is annoying... but just move on.
Don't be surprised to see farmers during an Event. Allot of people farm during these events... then back to normal afterwards.
Get your vial filled up... Then if they are gonna kill you.. hope it is sooner then later, so you can just jump into another match and get another vial.

So basically.. not sure what happens when you get to 30 vials as killer, if it will still let you get the points on the event hooks.
But if it does let you get the bonus points after you've filled the vial in the match, then it stands to reason you will get them after you've filled your 30 vials.
Which could explain why there will be more killers as the event progresses, since you will easily get way more points as killer. 5.5K per hook is huge.

Not sure if someone said this or not... Didn't read all the responses.
Once you fill your vial you don't gain anymore bonus points for hooking survivors on event hooks.
So once you fill all your vials... Will you still be able to fill vials?.. I don't think so. So you won't be able to get any more bonus points for hooking on event hooks once you fill all 30.

Type it out... proof it... cut out all the BS story crap that doesn't mean anything... then refine it down to what you actually want to say. Then break it out so people can read it easier on their PCs.
Oh yeah... Could you call the ambassador to Mexico?.... Tell them you got their wall ready.

Yeah thats dumb. Also if the flower isn't completely harvested no one gets the points for it. So everyone putting out an offering could actually mean no survivors get bonus points if they don't actually need much to fill up their vials.

There are 4 survivors. So comparing all 4 survivors to the 1 killers addons?
Not all survivor make it out most matches. You'll be lucky as a survivor to keep your item more then 3 or 4 matches. Eventually you lose it.
So if we go by the average kills of 2 per match. There is 2 survivor potentially dying with 2 items and 4 addons.
To me this all sort of evens out. The long term haul of BP earning playing as survivor has gone down.
Even in this event it is worse.
You put out an offering... Say everyone does.... so 5 offerings... 7 petals. If each survivor only need one third of their vial... Each survivor can hit their own petal... Not finish it... And no one gets any points for petals since they were not completed. Survivors don't get the points for the harvested petals unless they have been finished. Mean while, the killer has 7 hooks they can nail people with and get loads of points.

For future events, they will release 2 cosmetics of THEIR choice. Like in the past. You will get 2... maybe 3 if they are generous cosmetics. The events won't be elaborate or hugely special anymore.
Then once the event is almost finished or completely finished, the developers will then release the outfits. Or they will release BEFORE the event.
Basically what the cry babies done was slap BHVR in the face and made them think twice about doing something nice for the playerbase.
And for the last comment... You have no idea what I do for a living... Just saying. You shouldn't talk about things you don't know.
The crybabies ######### as all over for future events.
And to add one more point... They won't sell anymore then they would have. The crybabies whinning about not getting enough free stuff.... AREN'T ALL OF A SUDDEN GOING TO SPEND THEIR MONEY.... Why did you think they were crying? They don't want to spend their money on cosmetics. With the amount of money a handful of people who feel better about getting 1 more outfit compared to now losing out money on that extra cosmetic... will make it so they didn't really make more money.
People whinning about getting free stuff... Aren't going to all of a sudden open up their empty wallets to spend thin air.

Do you have any idea how a studio like that would operate?... I don't myself since I've never owned or managed one. Since you provided some revenue numbers... 20 to 50 million... big 30 mil gap there... but anyways. How many employees do they have?.... How much rent do they pay on their lease?... How much are their utility bills?... Also how much are all their other software licenses cost?.... Just the payroll for a company like that is in the millions. It isn't one million... It is in the MILLIONS. You don't hire all graphic design artists... programmers, network administrators... Front line staff for under 30K each you know.

Yeah I hope they don't do anything... I hope next time they think of doing an event with a bunch of cosmetics.. they do the following...
You earn 1 cosmetic per side. You get what they choose for you. Then they release all the other cosmetics into the store with only being able to buy them.
That makes more sense to me. Keep it like the other events, don't try to overdo it an be nicer then you thought you were going to be. Make it a simple. You can earn 1 cosmetic for this certain character per side and thats is it. Those 2 cosmetics are the event ones. All the others are for the store only.
It seems if you try to be nice to your fanbase / playerbase you get backlash for it.

Bait and switch?.... Where did they say you'd be able to unlock all the cosmetics through the event?... Where did they bait everyone?... I don't think they even mentioned much of the event until yesterday. OH YEAH... All the leaks... Which they could have prevented.... but... well.. it got leaked. So everyone THOUGHT they were going to be able to unlock all those cosmetics for free... Then found out the actually details of the event yesterday and realized that wasn't the case.
So where was the bait and the switch?.... Where did they switch it from being able to unlock ALL the cosmetics to where you will only be able to unlock 3?
OH NO... YOU HAVE TO PLAY A SIDE YOU DON'T LIKE TO GET YOUR 3 FREE COSMETICS!.... Oh... my bad.... you had to do that in the previous events aswell.... but you only got 1 per side. GEEZ... Where have you been?... Are you still hiding under your rock?

Stupid thing is asking BHVR why they support streamers intentionally DCing to "ruin" games.... (as you say it).
BHVR supports their bottom line. So..... If a streamer intentionally deranks cause it allows them to provide "better" entertainment for their players, I don't think they will care all that much. Will most likely turn a blind eye to it. You know why?... Cause that one streamer might have over 1000+ viewers at any given time, that find what they are doing entertaining. That is a possible 1000+ people they the Devs are reaching out to on a regular bases... saying.... "Play me... play me.... play me... buy me... buy me... buy me...."
It is the same reason why BHVR will turn the blind eye to "toxic" forms of gameplay, because those streamers bring in bigger viewership. People want to be entertained.... Not bored. Being bored in a stream doesn't help bring sales.
The streamers who have more viewership on a consistent manner outweigh the non-entertaining masses who can't retain their viewership even though they play in the high ranks.
BHVR would never come out to say anything other then what a mod has stated in this thread. You will not get any official response for what you are asking, disagree or agree. Those rank 1s crying in the thread about who do you support... can keep on asking.... Cause you still keep playing, and most likely will continue to play... all the while they will pretend to ignore your question.
It is like trying to point a finger at someone, who doesn't give a ######### what you have to say about it. Then you'll put your finger and head back down and continue to play.
There is probably more viewers in the said mentioned streamer's channel at any given time, then there are people who are upset about them getting support from the developer.
One hand... Lose a couple meatheads?... The other hand, many others who don't give a ######### and have their wallets in their hands. No one cares about the meatheads.
TL;DR;
Blaming the streamer for an issue with the game design isn't getting at the root of the problem.

You have different issues in your post and intertwine them to come up with a way to dismiss people who don't agree. Separate them out.
Who is a vet? What do you define as a vet compared to a casual player?... Vet as in hardcore 8 hr + day player?.. A vet who has played for 2 years, but only plays 2 matches a day? A casual player who plays 1 match every day for 2 years?... You put up a couple of terms that don't go together as a way to dismiss people who don't agree with you.
Offensive?... Finding the post offensive? Because you tell people not to support those that YOU don't find "fun" and also define to them what "fun" is to you in Dbd, and say someone else version of "fun" is incorrect? So if they don't agree with your definition of "fun" then this post isn't for you... or you are a casual player.. not a vet... ??? Weird.
But of course I'll be in the wrong... I guess I'm not a vet player or not someone who this post was directed to... because I didn't agree with you and give you a stroke for it. I didn't fit within your definitions, the one you are trying to force down my throat while at the same time telling me to get lost.
TL;DR. Your post is really weird.
This post could have been interesting if it wasn't so hate filled. Very angry and aggressive way to try and get your point across in what you may see as an issue in the game / community.

What they could do is... Lock the character they used when disconnecting / leaving until they fully play another match with a different character. Then have up to a max of say 5 locked character if they keep disconnecting.
That way they might think twice about disconnecting if they can't play another match right away with the same character they like to use.

I think though there should be some info out there on the percentages of the rarity of the item. Which then would be the same for all those items with the same rarity. Not sure if there is some magic number out there saying a brown lesser mist offering will show up any less or more then a brown med kit. However I could be wrong on that.
I'm sure a Dev or some data miner would be able to give you the exact numbers, as I don't think they are any special secret.
