Well I agree that bHVR has done things to keep things the same, but they have also done minor things in the other way that are nice.
I do agree they need to add more substantial things to the game. Like:
- Glass Windows, that survivors can open, but cause bleeding and noise notification.
- lockable doors that take longer to break down, lock it with the green key.
Stuff like this would elevate the game so much.
Totally agree! Things like this, they are small, but they are already new mechanics in the gameplay, the thing is that it is, BHVR has maintained its game for 7 years the SAME, why doesn't it do something NOW?
Adding windows with glass for example and if the survivors like to loop, then let it be a while that they are not doing gens and bother opening them.

@RaSavage42 said:
It's hard for them to come up with "new mechanics" and code them into the game
The game was meant to be a small thing... but when they brought Mickey they didn't expect it be what it is now
The foundation of this game is broken... you must realize this
Introducing something new now would only break the game further
They need to fix the foundation first
Totally agree, code problem, but as they continue like this... the game won't get much further, honestly.
League of Legends has been going on for 13 years, and it refreshes every year, bringing out new mechanics every SEASON, this is what I mean, but it's totally, the code is something... BAD.

Loops did change tho.
I think you want completely different game at this point.
New content is basically perks, maps, killers.
We can hope they will keep changing existing content, but I doubt we will see major changes in current game design.
It's simply not easy and could backfire hard.
Going this way, it's called "easy way"
Shoot another way, it's the hard way.

What? 25 seconds is nothing. Even if you would say 25 seconds after the Unhook.
25 seconds is something, but could be more time. 25s is 1/4 of gen if u decide to tunnel.

- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance
- You start the Trial with 4 tokens. The first time each Survivor is hooked on a scourge hook, lose 1 token and the generator with the most progress explodes, instantly losing 10/15/20% progress, and will start to regress. Once you have no tokens, Pain Resonance deactivates for the rest of the Trial.
You can't tunnel with it anyway. It only works on the first time you hook each survivor.
This is WORST that my idea, with my PERK u can HOOK the entire game (match) without TUNNEL.
With the new one only 4 hooks.

I was palying wesker with BW/NOED/HeadLock/SA. And i can't figure out wth i'm doing wrong. Regardles of what i do, i lose 2-3 gens before a single hook and the only way i got at least a kill was proxy and tunnel. I always pre-break doors, eat pallets etc. if needed, but there is so much wood to work with. I essentially need players who do mistakes and lucky tiles to get some kind of a fair play.
This game works as follows (Edit: I am a main killer with 6200 hrs)
As a killer you start the game, look for a survivor and start a chase, if that survivor is bad you will catch him on average in 20-45 seconds depending on how strong the map is and ur killer ofc, if he is a good survivor and knows how to play, it will cost you a little more, probably about 50 seconds approx, so 3 survivors should be doing gens, as a general rule if in your PERKS you don't have the corrupt INTERVENTION perk, forget about 2 gens at the beginning of the game, that's all I can I mean, on the other hand, even if it seems unfair, if you want to look for hooks, you should go for the bad survivors, although... good players are not going to sit idly by, so good luck.

@WesCravenFan said:
Freddy should start the game with his teleport off cooldown.
The thing is already very slow and super telegraphed. It's not like you can sneak up on a Survivor with it. But it would save him the trouble of trekking all the way across the map to get started. He's a pathetic M1 killer with very little mobility. At least give him THIS.
If you read my changes and all the reasoning. If given the the brush (red addon), the survivors would all start asleep, so Freddy's TP would recover the CD faster, so he could cast it much sooner.

The mayority of the vocal community calling killers with 60%+ killrates weak is more of a case that the mayority of the vocal community doesn't know what it's talking about.
I have never seen another game where the avarage skill and knowledge of the players is so low
You're not going to tell me that saddeko is among the top of the killers cause of 1 playstyle that needs specific addons to work well and only really caught traction months after she was released
I do agree the accesibility changes could take some more priority but from a balance view these killers really aren't that pressing
Sadako is not a VERY BAD killer, but she needs improvements to really be one, Freddy, Myers follows her along with Pig, but really the devs are SO FOCUSED on their stats that they don't look beyond what the STATS are, but they really ARE VERY BAD KILLERS against top players. But hey, 1 year from now, you will see how this comment will come true, when you really have to snort at Freddy Krueger, Pig or Myers, even Sadako.
By the way, Freddy Krueger has the worst Addons in the game, as he nerfs him to the grave.

At no point did we say that it is the only survivor sided map, we simply confirmed what others have been saying and outlined the work we've done to address this one. By no means is it the only one. You can make a case for just about any map favouring one side or the other.
As for the Killer changes, The Nurse has easily been the single most discussed Killer lately and warranted changes over any other Killer. The Knight was only recently released and as usual, we make changes to the most recent Killer in the following updates to try and fine tune their balance. They were definitely not chosen at random. Other Killers have changed planned, but there's only so much bandwidth for changes in each update.
I perfectly understand that the development of a video game undergoes constant changes, but sadako came out last year and very slight changes were made to it, I am surprised that it has not had a revision because in the last statistics it indicated that the killer had a 63-65% win rate so you have discarded the option to make changes, in addition to Freddy Krueger, Pigg or Myers...
Let me explain, although we have seen that they have a 65% win rate, they are not good killers. But hey, let's let BHVR do its job in making DBD a "better game"

So, decide to play some killer this morning - long queues so MMR was a bit borked I'm guessing.
Get a trio, all extremely good with their comp stuff in their profiles. Like...hard to even get a single hit on them good, perfectly running loops, not falling for any mindgames, nailing gens out in minutes etc.
Now, most of the time I'd be up for it - just to see how I can do. But of course I went in on my Demo, with a very meme-y build and addons, mostly doing my 'no tunnel, no camp, 2 hook everyone then start killing because I brought a flan' thing.
Ended up getting 4 hooks - 2 of which were admittedly on the non comp player and one of which was a sneaky grab thanks to a snowman. Probably could have done a little better had I been on a killer I've played more of recently and a more meta build...and on a map that isn't a Garden of Joy offering.
They were rude as anything, sort of a wasted flan with how little BP everyone got, but it is what it is.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/XT4A2VYJI8VN/smurfs.jpg
A few things to note though.
- This really does represent one of the core problems of DbD. I doubt I could have beaten them, but this was a game I lost at the selection screen.
- How I get matched up against a monster trio like this...I don't know. With how BM they were, it could be that they've smurfed their MMR down (there really should be a system to catch this) just to be butts, but I've played Demo perhaps five times in the last few months, 3 of which were losing games so it's not like that killer's MMR is super high. May just be a lobby dodge situation though, where they backfilled in.
- It's massively frustrating when you're queueing up on a silly build with an intention to have a chill game, and the other side is looking to...honestly, either stomp lowbies or sweat.
- This game is in serious need of a jerk fumigation.
- Players with Cyrillic names are a mood.
Look I have been playing since August 2016, I currently have 6000 killer hours and I consider myself good with tricks and mind games that probably not even the average player has.
I have faced many players, from potatoes to good and competitive players, nobody, nobody can face competitive players because they are going to blow up games, you don't have time for anything, not even to reach 4 hooks and a chase takes a long time because of how poorly designed the maps are.
Right now being a killer is settling for hitting survivors a few times and doing a couple of hooks, that's the life of a killer, unless you're like them and start camping or tunneling, that already changes things and you can get to but you hang up, but I prefer not to talk about this game, it causes me...

sorry haven’t had the time to follow all these threads and this may have been answered already..
- Halloween Skins

With the rest of killer u will KILL only the last one in the vast majority of games or probably NOT in all...

I understand, but this is super boring for the game, with which killer are you going to do it? with the Myers? with the trapper?
Obvius with the nurse and TOPS killers. My idea of mori was not this.
-
@CaulDrohn said:
If you manage to down all 4 (or hook two and down two) you will perform the mori on the last one, effectively killing all four at once. So it essentially the same as activating multiple moris.
This ALMOST never happens, only with TOP killers and depending on the survis you face.
but the purpose of everything, the work that the devs have done for me seems VERY BAD or how they have handled it.
They could have made a more interesting mechanic for the game.

If killer queues are too long, that means there's not enough survivors, so the survivors get the incentive bonus.
30 seconds it's so long? xDDDD
my survi queue its like 5 seconds and... my incentives its on survivors, I don't know why they don't put 25% on killer and 75% on survi.
my killers queue are faster ... not at all but are 30 seconds

That's the whole point. 30-34s queue means there're too many killers, so why give you bonus then? If you play as killer, you make this queue even longer. There's lack of survs to fill all those killers' lobbies, hence there's incentive bonus to encourage them to play and make killers' queue faster.
I have thought that it should NOT always be 100% in a role, but for example it should be divided if at that moment there were 50% 50% of survivors and killers, for example, in my case at least give the Killers 25-75% depending. In moments of long queues in a role, then give him 100% integrity
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

5700 hours main killer here and... I feel like a lot of my games haven't changed much (I'm a fair killer, no camp and tunnel) and I'm still making 1-2 kill games with 5-9 hooks, sometimes with 12hooks cause the survivors are potatoes (4K).

Yeah I know, so effectively when you kick a gen it starts at 200% then overcharge goes from 100%-400$ so its basically 200% to 500% regression.
- 100% is considered 0.25 charges/s, right?
so...
- 400% is considered 1 charges/s?
When overcharge starts at 100%, it starts with the regression of 0.25 charges/s, 200% (0.5 charges/s), 300% (0.75 charges/s) and when it reaches 400% after 30s (1 charges/s) this is right?
I've been playing for a long time but I misunderstood the % wrong, I understand! Thank you!
-
@Brimp said:
I dont get whats the bug. Overcharge builds up to 400% then 100% from Crine for 1.25 charges per second lost when at full regression but then Crine wears off back to the 400% regression.
Overcharge starts on 100% to 400% in 30 seconds and brine its 200%. Is 100% considered to be 1.25 charge per second? Overload does the regression state disappear when reaching 400%?

with this massive update that's been done with the perks and the prestige, that schedule is out. The design team will check to see if any adjustments need to be made and assign a priority as necessary.
Sadako came out 3 months and a few weeks ago, lately what BHVR was doing is that after 3 months it was reviewing the last chapter that came out in case it needs changes (buffs or nerfs) in this case obviously a list of improvements is needed.
Obviously they will have passed this, and they will leave it for soon...

Why is there a doubt? The 30 seconds just mean it'll take that long for the regression speed to reach 400%, not that it suddenly stops after that.
There's not much info on it, but I'm guessing when that 30 seconds hits it obviously hits 400%, after 30 seconds it'll continue at 400% until someone touches it or it completely reverts, right?
-
@Peanits said:
Not quite sure I understand the question, so apologies if I'm not answering this correctly.
When you kick a generator, it starts regressing at 100% of the normal rate (0.25 charges per second), then steadily grows to 400% of the normal rate (1 charge per second).
Peanits one doubt, what will happen after 30 seconds? Will follow to 400%?
-
@Hussein said:
With Pop Goes the Weasel, if they are going to keep it at 45 seconds, I believe they should add a generator aura intensity while the perk is active. This makes it fair, since the perk is only effective on generators with a lot of progress.
In immobile killer it will be stopped using, for sure. Maybe go back to 45 seconds and make it 22.5% (without the 2,5% base) of total progress? Idk

How Corrupt nerf is bad? It is still doing same job.
It is buying time for set-up killer (Myers, Trapper, Hag).
Survivors still can not sit on this gens at start, so they need to search generator. So it is buying time for your first down.
Corrupt's nerf is one of the good. At least it did not butchered like Ruin, DS, DH
I have 5600 hours I am a main killer, finding a survivor as a general rule who does not hide is relatively easy for me, sometimes I find them very close to the gens blocked by corrupt intervention when I knock down one of them, they will no longer have corrupt intervention and they will start to repair before because as a general rule 3 survivors or 2 appear where the corrupt intervention is, or am I wrong?

If we have to wait for the next one... it would have been more than 6 months and I don't think they'll leave sadako as is, I guess for that long.

Overcharge
Along with its current effects, Overcharge will cause a kicked generator’s regression speed to grow from 100% to 400% over the course of 30 seconds. Survivors will want to stop this generator from regressing as soon as possible.
Well, its 400% said in the perk, nothing about the time

It's been just 3 weeks since the release of Sadako (Onryo), as my post says, how long will it take for us to see an adjustment/balance in her?
does she need more time for enough information to reach the devs that she is below average?
I'm going to give my opinion, it seems to me a killer "OK" but it needs some other tweaks in its power, condemne improvements and improvement of her mini-phases in chase after manifest.
I was really expecting some more adjustments in the Mid-Chapter but it seems that she will go to more time...
I have nothing more to add.
It's been 3 months, we expect possible changes in this Mid-Chapter PTB?

And 2 Frightful Flan, 1 Event item and 1 Mystery Box on Survivor (if Level 50). I am not sure if Prestige matters, mines are.
2 Full outfits and 12 Mask Head cosmetics.
And the map Decorations are a Chef’s Kiss!
Love the theme and that it actually feels like an event. The loading screen when loading up the game is fantastic. 10/10 Event!
Now, time to stack up on those Flans!
I don't want to be a hater, but it's very similar to last year (5th anniversary), with the in-game altars, and the cosmetics that BHVR gave us for getting the altars (I don't remember which ones they were) and obviously the 105% cakes with decorations , but this year, the difference is there is more decoration on the maps, other types of cosmetics (masks) and the cake is 106%.

I suppose that as the devs said, there will be some new details that they will say later, because if it stays as a mori for the last player, it loses all the essence.
I suppose that when the time comes, it will tell the operation of how a mori can win in the middle of a game for playing "well"

Nemesis is one of my killer mains, probably my favorite killer. But I do think that this crouch to dodge is a good thing, as it gives him a bit more counterplay. He is already very strong in chase, I hope they never change that.
Also, I am pretty positive that crouching at pallets doesn't work. It's only vaults.
Imagine that the 4 survivors use the same strategy the crounch...
It's not that it's strong, it's that I find it "ugly" that survivors Crouch to nullify the hitbox, while it should be "dodged" by the player's skill, that is, by moving.

Wouldn't it be only bad for the people that want to blind you after every pallet tho? When you normally throw a pallet the killer either runs around it if the tile is playable and if not I need to kick it.
With the ability to fake the kick some good mind game opportunities could arise and isn't every body always saying the chase and the mind games are the fun part ^^.
Plus maybe it could weaken maps that have many pallets like the game a bit
The addition of this feature would create more mind games, in my opinion. I don't think it would be "extremely strong", but it would create more fun games around the pallet.

Yep. What the title says. If you need 3 or more slowdown perks to passively win you games, you're not good at Killer. And that's fine! It's fine to want more chill games and not have to get flustered and stressed out because gen speeds are too fast. But don't act like you're amazing at Killer by BM'ing and being a jerk in chat afterwards when you're clearly relying on multiple crutches to do even partially decent. It's like camping a corner of a doorway in a competitive multiplayer FPS and thinking you're somehow a god at the game.
Same goes for all of these Survivors who can't play a single match without their Circle of Healing, Dead Hard, and Brand New Parts.
TL;DR - Play however you want, but don't be a jerkoff when you know you're relying heavily on meta perks to even manage to do well. Don't BM the Killer in an exit gate, and don't shake your head and slap a Survivor on hook when your perks are literally passively winning you games.
Play a trapper without perks to slow down the generators and tell me what will happen to you hahahah
The game as it is today is MANDATORY the perks of slowing down the generators and saying that "you are not good" is bullshit, because I will tell you from my experience, you can make 4k or a good game without perks of generators but if the survivors are very bad, if they are moderately good, withdraw from the game.

But at this point, DBD would have to include something very innovative to encourage people who have left the game to play the game again.

You might as well hang it up asking for it. You are only going to frustrate yourself sitting around waiting and hoping the next patch is going to make you essentially have three vs one's easy peezy every time you click ready.
One thing is that when you play Sadako, when you use the Tvs they introduce enough pressure that the survivors have to interact with them, the "condemned" barely introduces enough pressure and I've spent like close to +50 hours on it, I was able to make mori to 2 players but I remember correctly.

Stats say that the nurse is the worst killer so do not rely on them. You jut need to know the game to understand that she is weak.
The statistics are not everything, there are too many factors, and the factor that the nurse has a bad kill ratio, because it is a difficult killer to use, the players the vast majority of players left in the game almost more than 75% are people between 1h - 2000 hours, very little percentage really knows how to use the nurse, therefore, you have to see those things too.

Survivor are going moan about legion add-on, saying they over-buffed legion like with wraith.
I have thought that, a red or purple Addon to decrease only 1.
