To help her during ambush/short loops, how would you feel about an abduction? IE, if she successfully lands a 'grab-like attack' out of her dash, she stabs them in the neck with a syringe that has 2 effects:
- Incapacitates the survivor, allowing them to be carried to the hook.
- Has a 'wake up' mini-game that must be played before the survivor can begin wiggling. If they succeed the game, then their wiggle meter is filled by a certain amount, giving them a chance to break free. If they fail the mini-game, they must start wiggling without a bonus to the attempt.
I think we need to be careful with not making her power too stuffed. She already has two distinct powers straight-up (crouch+ambush and RBTs), after all.

Yeah, a few things actually :), 1. RBTS that are not active should have a 25% action penalty on survivors, so there is a reason to get rid of them, or to buy her more time if people just 99 gens, 2. Reduce the time it takes to get up so she can actually mind game pallets with crouch like ghostface. 3. I want RBTS to change to you hook a survivor instead so it feels like I have control over the rbts like she does in the movies. 4. Change her to roar after the ambush has started. 5. she should be able to see the auras of survivors who are removing an RBT. 6. RBT's should pause in heartbeat due to #5, and 7. make it to where you have to search a mininum of 1 jigsaw box before it comes off, its really ######### you use it to apply pressure and comes off on the 1st box.
1) I like it, though would this apply to Jigsaw Boxes as well?
2) Maybe that could work as a buff to Combat Straps, but I guess I wouldn't mind seeing that just naturally too much.
3) Sure, don't see why not.
4) Yes please.
5) No, that would be too much.
6) No thanks, since I wouldn't want #5.
7) I'm down for that. PERSONALLY, I think I would prefer RSN2 being base kit over this, but that wouldn't really work if #3 ended up being implemented.

Still gonna vouch for her EGC nerf to be changed. Make the EGC timer pause as long as someone is wearing a Reverse Bear Trap.

Ruin is still great, I been playing 5 months and I’ll hit 9 out of 10 hex checks, I’m just saying the traps serve as a built-in, watered down Ruin. They’re not designed to kill, but I’ve gotten many kills with them BECAUSE people stillborn do gens...what else they supposedly to do?
You just said, and I quote, "traps are sooo much better." Which is it? Are they better than Ruin, or are they a watered-down Ruin?
Also, I've also gotten many kills with the traps myself, but that does not make me think that they are reliable as time wasters. It actually is possible for them to do a gen, activate their trap in the process, and then go focus on getting the trap off. It's not much different from having a gen popped while a trapped Survivor is on the hook.

I would take anything to help my girl out. I want to see more of her in game. Petition to give her the love she deserves?
I'm all for it.
-
Is this why it suddenly started taking ages for me to open a lobby as a Killer?
-
If I'm being honest, I'd rather have Amanda's ambush attack be buffed rather than have her gain the ability to grab someone without having to uncrouch.

You’re absolutely right, they are not comparable...traps are sooo much better. It takes about 15 seconds to cleanse Ruin(don’t know exact time), I bet it’ll take a survivor at least 1 minute to get the trap off, sure it won’t stop gens being popped, but that’s 1 guy not progressing gens (typically).
No way. I may not be fond of Ruin, but I would never think the traps are better at slowing down Survivors than Ruin. With the traps, I need to hope that I can end a chase quickly just to have one person temporarily slowed from doing gens whereas Ruin slows everyone down from the very start. You say that Ruin can get cleansed in 15 seconds, but I can say the same thing about getting a Trap off.
As I've always said before, I believe her Ambush is weak, her Traps are too inconsistent, and she's probably one of the weaker characters in the game IMO. That being said, I'd want to see the weak part of her crouch ability (the Ambush attack) be made better, not just ignored more in favor of grabbing.

The perk description says that it trumps ALL killer stealth ability, so one of the two are wrong, not sure which
I could be wrong in my logic, as this is just assumptions on my part, but Kindred came out before Myers, so my guess is that unless they somehow forgot about Kindred, they intended for Myers to also beat Kindred and then just never got around to updating the description for Kindred (as at the time Kindred was released, "stealth abilities" was pretty much only turning off the Terror Radius, not explicitly preventing detection perks from finding you).
-
According to the wiki, Kindred does not beat Myer's EW1 detection immunity. Not sure if it is correct, but just throwing that out there.

I managed to get the achievement a week or two ago. Feels good man.

Gen rushing and racing to the exits, esp,by the ranking and emblem system is def not maximizing gains...but I digress
I doubt it'll ever be a thing, but for Double BP Events...wish there was a filter to search for farm groups...the Devs clearly A'Ok it..but on,console Survivors and Killers 9 times outta 10 tryhard on these events and/or don't know what farming even is...Im not trying to super 4k people and rank up...but that's all people are doing in my matches...its a 3 day event...Imo it's smarter to just chill amd get even more BP amd rank up even faster :/
I'm already close to a million points; what does it for me to farm instead of just do what I normally do?
-
I'm having that issue on both sides today, I find.

It happens, I still stand by not tryharding Survivors and letting all of us get buckets of Bloodpoints. Gotten a couple GGs and thanks for not tunneling/camping people. Some people are just selfish, it's a 3 day event but sure, gotta climb that Rank *eyerolls*
I mean, isn't it selfish to get fussy because people want to do that instead of farming?
-
I play the game normally, regardless of whether it's double blood points or not. I normally burn Bloody Party Streamers as soon as I get them. Don't get upset at me if you assume I am open to farming because I am playing how I normally playing after burning a Streamers offering like I normally do.
-
You can hear noises coming from Ghostface within 8 meters when he is stealthing.
-
I'm still for it, provides it's actually balanced properly.
-
S Tier: Clown
F Tier: The rest 'o dem scrubs
-
To be honest, I actually do like the idea of a single-use gun in DBD as a really rare item (perhaps one that can only be found in chests and can't be taken out of a trial). Give it a big-ass recoil so that if the Survivor screws up the shot, they're basically down for the count.
-
So.. I personally think that the Mori from Trapper is a little bit basic.. The idea inside my head is..
My only concern with that is that it would be weird if Trapper did not have any traps on-hand but still managed to pull one out of his butt for a Mori.
-
IMO, having the ambush apply status conditions should be something something an add-on grants as opposed to base kit. I think one way to buff the ambush base kit would be to move the roar to the start of the attack instead of the start of the charge.

I never did understand why her training addon was purple rarity
My guess is that at the time it was made, they saw it more as a "something that removes one of the few things that keeps Nurse from being too strong" (the need to estimate your landing spot as opposed to physically being able to see it) rather than "something that helps people new to Nurse practice a skill that better Nurses can already do."

Pig and Trapper would be an awful mixture actually. Just trap every box.
The problem with that is that while you're going through the trouble of chasing someone down after trapping all the boxes, someone else could just disarm all the traps in front of the boxes.

This game also has console users.
ps4 and xbox she is the worst killer in statistics.
People on the forum always exclude console users when talking about her.
Recent thought: I wonder how much it would help console players improve with Nurse if the Plaid Flannel add-on was a Common instead of Very Rare. I imagine competent Nurses don't use it anyways.

From what I am reading in responses I don't think it'd change much if they did remove it at this point. lol
That's because it doesn't happen often. But when it does happen, it can very much screw the Trapper over. It's a similar problem I have with flashlights screwing over Hag traps and Adrenaline screwing over current Freddy. All these hard counters built into Survivor perks and items have got to go IMO.
-
When Pig gets the buffs I feel she deserves, I'll gladly buy a costume for her.
-
Honestly, I'd rather they just removed the ability to sabotage Bear Traps. It feels like an outdated design choice with regards to the direction the game went in.

Object of Obsession should work on him, but not when he's using Night Shroud.
I assume that is the implication being made by everyone arguing he should be immune to detection perks.
-
I like The Ghost. I like Ghostface. I dislike The Ghost Face.

As far as the gen teleport, can we say for sure that the Survivors will be alerted for the full 5 seconds? In the demonstration they showed, the gen bled for only about 2 seconds before Freddy popped in. Now, it's hard to say whether that's because the gen doesn't spew blood until the teleport is almost fully prepped or whether they just shortened the teleport time for demonstration purposes, but I'd like a proper clarification before making a case for teleport being potentially good or bad.
-
Personally, I think if any killer is "dated," it's Trapper.
-
This to me sounds like it's dealing with similar issues as a Hatch stand-off. Obviously some differences between them, but that seems like a problem to me.

Yeah, but survivor perks dont matter like a killer power does. Just learn the good survivor perks for Sydney and Done. Problem solved.
I think they should have added a survivor that looks a but like Sidney, call her Sindy Philpot and avoid the copyright issues.
I only say Survivor perks in this case because Survivors have no special abilities by default, so her perks would be the closest comparison I can make to Ghostface's weakness issues.
-
I don't agree. If Sydney's perks were also bad, people would have called the whole Chapter a disaster. If they were good, people would point to broken Ghostface as proof of Survivor bias.

So, because I don’t look for the hatch, ever .... and the killer does, because as the last survivor, I have to be stealthy while looking for the hatch (if I did) so that the killer doesn’t see me! (while they’re running around like crazy, free to do so) Once they do find the hatch, the doors are SO close together, that it’s nearly impossible to open it without being caught. That’s really not a fair game. No matter how you look at it.

I don't think you play Killers very much, I'll take my 0 terror radius Myers free yanks and hooks any day. Leatherface is strong because everyone wastes pallets with him, and if they run you around the same pallet, just leave to monitor gens, a Survivor isn't good because they can run around the same place. Trapper is too much M1, Wraith is faster in his cloaked form, his add ons are strong, The Pig can have strong mindgame potential and have great distance covered in chases, I find her fun and strong even still. Hag is doodoo, complete garbage. A Nurse and Billy, the most seen top tier killers are only as good as their player is, Spirits are super strong, fear the Spirit. Hard for me to spin her around but she is powerless with Lightweight and Iron Will, Huntress is eh, you can just avoid her hatchets. Freddy slows the game down, the current Freddy does, like a built in Ruin. They'll spend their time trying to fail a skillcheck or find someone to wake up. You'll find them.
"Hag is doodoo, complete garbage"
I get the feeling this is going to get a decent amount of flack, especially since you started your post with "I don't think you play Killers very much."

her endgame exists, just trap at 1 gen
also her dash is fine you're probably just not using / seeing it effectively
If you try to trap at 1 gen, you risk losing your traps when they finish that one gen. That is bad.
Also her dash is bad. Only being able to mindgame certain loops and little else is not the sign of it being "fine" IMO.
-
"as HatCreature mentioned, most of us would rather uncrouch and go for the grab attempt"
That's because the ambush is worse at getting the hit in due to the roar telegraphing your attack. Not just in sneaks, but in general.
"you apply the same mindgame reads as other killers, but you cover that ground much more quickly"
So it's relevant at the same mindgame-able spots that your typical M1 killer can mimdgame, and the upside of it being faster is negated by the downside of a telegraphed charge up. That does not sound good to me.
"No, it won’t be a guaranteed hit, but if you make the wrong read the survivor is likely to not abandon this loop."
Is that supposed to be not a bad thing? If you make the wrong read, you will have given the Survivor more leeway at that loop than if you had just chased them until they dropped the pallet.
"A great survivor might make you make the wrong read twice"
Making the wrong read even once is bound to cost you valuable time that you do not have, not even with Reverse Bear Traps already on people.
"I think only a real crappy killer needs notebook than 3 attempts"
See above.
"Either way, that segment of their loop play is limited to 10-25 seconds tops."
That's IF you successfully mindgame the Survivor, which I do not believe to be as consistent/reliable as you are making it out to be, especially compared to typical mindgaming around those spots.
"We’ll worth it you ask me. I can make a video ifvyou’d Like if never using this technique, I promise no one will survivor that loop more than 3x."
If you want to make the video, go ahead, but just know that 3x already means you wasted way too much time at that one loop.
"Only s long loop (too much distance to transverse with the ambush once you gained control of pallet) can survive this."
It sounds like what you are telling me is that good/safe loops are safe from this mimdgame and bad/unsafe loops are not safe. That is not reassuring.
When the only thing a power is good for is mindgaming at the same places an M1 killer can already mindgame at, that is a sign that the power is pretty bad.
-
I know this is only a bug, but it's still a darn shame seeing this happen to Amanda.

Actually, he might have been the perfect camoflaged killer.
In the original movie, the killer(s) were in plain sight the whole time. What if his power would have been to remove the costume to match the appearance of a survivor in the match?
This could work similar to the wraith's cloak.
But then he'd just be a different wraith so maybe not.
SWF annihilates that, sadly.

Yes, but in that case the presence of an insta-down is irrelevant.
Right, but whether or not MoM blocks the chainsaw, EW3 Myers, NOED depends on the health state of the Survivor with the active MoM. Injured = yes; Healthy = no.
-
@PigNRun said:
The current PTB version, it counters them if you achieved all stacks. In their probably final version, the one coming to live, it will be just like the current one; imsta-downs wont trigger it, thus countering MoM.
Note that if it does end up being like the current version in that regard, it will still block things that normally OHD if the Survivor in question is already injured.
-
IMO, use Spirit Fury if you plan on using Enduring as well, and Bamboozle if you don't. You can also just use Bamboozle as well if you do plan on using Fury + Enduring.

Thanks a lot, i will considere both suggestions.
Not sure about overcharge, i think that perk is only really good on lower ranks, cant remember missing this skillcheck tho.
I am not a very good pig (currently rank 6 with her, doing alright, nothing special) but i dont get the point of Monitor. Wouldnt it be way better to use Whispers instead and go into sneaky modus once u are getting closer.. so you can get a free hit most of the time?
Surveillance is pretty cool, i like it as u said in combo with Pop and sometimes Brutal Strength.
I will check out these Addon combos, lets see how well i do with them. Thanks a lot guys.
Monitor and Abuse lets you get closer before you need to crouch to hide the Terror Radius. If you use both it and Whispers, you can always crouch before they get a glimpse of your Terror Radius.
