What i mean is the constant discussions on camping, tunneling, slugging, DS, BT, "toxicity" is tiring. This community is too negative. Im tired of it all.
Then chill for a while and do something else. Personally, I just pick and choose what topics I read and respond to because I don't want to get invested in something that will tire me out.

The new flashy thing doesn't fix all the problems or address other interests in the game.
Personally, I don't care for resident evil, so it's nice to see threads not talking about it.

What's the challenge rules?
He's on Twitch right now and said the challenge is still up. You can hop on and ask him about it.

what does undying do?
Undying prevents Ruin from being cleansed first. This will allow you more time to be aggressive rather than worry about defending your hex totem.

A big thing I learned real quick is to know when not to use your power. Trying to do a fancy move and get a Rush hit at a difficult tile instead of just playing it normally can lose you way more time than you save.
He's also got crazy mobility, so perks that play to those strengths are very, very good on him.
We've all felt the terror of a Ruin Undying Tinkerer blight before.
Basically this. Use his power sparingly at first to get around. As you get a feel for it, you will NOT question when you can use it to cut a chase shorter. As you get good at that, you will start to just naturally feel when you can intercept someone during a rush to hit them with a drive-by "GET OFF MY LAWN".
The basic Blight build is BBQ, Ruin, Undying, and Tinkerer. This is a very strong build on him, though people won't be thrilled to see it. Eventually, however, you can move on to making the build a bit more aggressive, rather than reactive. Enduring and Spirit Fury can be swapped in allow you to very aggressively follow through pallets. Respect nothing, hit everything, and when the pallet stun does nothing, proudly scream your disdain for door-to-door salesmen as you club them down with your geriatric support device.
Also, when you hook the final Survivor, don't forget to faceplant into the hook they are on 5 times. Maximum bonk.

Wow, the game finally looks scary. My nightmare has always been to get chased in a McDonalds play area.

I played Legion on Midwich once, and it was a trial with a streamer in it. I decided not to think much of it and played as normal. At the last hook, I swapped over to my other monitor to see what was being said. Being that I was Legion and it was Midwich, I was expecting a pretty nasty talking-down, but she was being VERY positive and complimenting my performance, as well as telling her chat it was nice to see a Legion because for her it was rare. I was blown away by her kindness and positivity. Her chat was definitely falling in with her good vibes as well, with them complimenting good plays by Killers and Survivors alike. So ya, sometimes, you get surprised with good stuff like that.
Normally, though, it's people talking about how bad everything is and insulting you regardless of your performance.
I also had one where a friend checked out a stream while I was the Killer against them, and was forwarding me what they were saying. Not intel, just insults. I specifically went after the streamer who put two and two together, and he was trying to haggle with me to get hatch. Didn't work out in his favor, but it was amusing to see that he dropped the insults if he thought he could haggle his way to a win.

Funny thing is that slinger’s hitbox while small works very well. Maybe because huntress is older but updating her hitboxes is better for both parties
It likely has to do with the length of the hitbox. Long hitboxes have several frames to confirm a hit, while smol ones can only have one frame, as well as have two frames where movement shows the projectile passing through something and not colliding. Depending on fps on physics calculation and the speed of the projectile, hitreg issues can become a thing.

I don't mind playing against Hag, but I totally get the issue that others don't know how to.
I literally did two gens inside of the Hags web of traps without any issues, but another Survivor kept running up to me and setting off the traps, forcing me off the gens so she wouldn't notice I was working on them. Watching me crouch my way up to the gen was, somehow, not an indication of the best method of approach, so sprinting up to me with A GORILLION traps in the way was totally the play.
Nancy, sometimes, I swear...

Looping a Huntress for what felt like 45 minutes. EGC wasn't a thing, I was new, and the Huntress could not hit me. So on Autohaven, I looped a Huntress for what felt like an hour. Everyone else on my team was dead, and I didn't know hatch was a thing. I didn't do the tutorial, and was learning the game on the fly. Still, it lasted SO DAMN LONG.
I eventually just gave up and let her hook me, since I couldn't leave the loop to find the hatch without getting down, and there was no way for me to win in that scenario that I knew of at the time. I then didn't play the game for years. Hag was new when this happened, and I didn't play again until Pyramid Head was announced.

Legion: Discordance, Ruin, Pop.
The last is a toss up depending on what you want. Generally I'll throw in BBQ for a bit of extra intel and BP, since Legion can very easily max out BP by the end of the match. Thanataphobia is not a bad pick, though it's mostly there to try and get Survivors to heal and allow more use out of Legions power. Healing also creates a bit of slowdown. The issue is that "DON'T HEAL" is basically stamped into the head of every Survivor when playing against Legion, so most Survivors at purple and red ranks will ignore the Thana slowdown and power through it in order to deny Legions power. Thrilling Tremors is a good pick as well, since it's one of the better Intel perks in the game. Disco is great until Survivors split up, and Disco on Legion is basically a two-fold excuse to split up and never stack on a gen, so TT will possibly net you far more mileage. M&A works decently on Legion as well, so it can be taken as the last slot or used as a replacement for Ruin if you don't mind kicking gens from the start of the trial, though you will most likely be using it mostly when there are 3 or less gens remaining. The first two gens should be spent getting hooks and applying as much pressure as you can, as well as clearing the high traffic areas of resources by baiting out pallet drops.

I still think that removing Laceration decay and making Laceration get removed on healing would make him better, since it would give him set ups and snowball potentials, as well as long term tactics. It would also remove the need to make him faster since he can save up damage over time.

I talk to myself all the time. Then I punch myself in the groin, throw the match, call 911, get brought to a hospital, and when the doctor asks me what happened, I say "ligma". Then I get kicked out, walk several miles home, and repeat the process.
-
I personally don't mind using it to dodge a hit up close. That requires the Survivor to make a read and time the use of it correctly. Even if I'm in a heated chase, if someone uses DH to legit avoid a hit, I reflexively say "Noice". Sure, I just lost a bit of time, but the player opened my cheeks and read the first chapter, which happened to be titled "Clap".
Now, when the Survivor is at a distance and they use it to push themselves to a new tile they wouldn't have otherwise made it to, which extends the chase considerably, THEN I don't like it. That doesn't take skill. That just takes the player saying "I'm not gonna make it, so I bEtTeR pReSs E fOr SkIlL".
Skill doesn't even start with E. That's just dumb.
I'd love it if DH was fixed to work better as a close dodge, but I'd hope in the process that it'd lose it's ability to be a "Imma counter everything" booty scooty when the Survivor is 10 feet out and needs to fart as hard as they can to make it to that new tile.

I don’t mind playing against him myself, but a lot of Tricksters just aggressively patrol hooks and then down both unhooker and unhooked because you have enough knives to hit through BT (unless you hooked them in the middle of a strong structure, which you’ll probably try to avoid doing when playing this killer). You can’t safely rescue if a Trickster commits to a camp.
Not that this justifies DCing, of course. But it may be why. I can’t really think of any other reason.
@Trickstaaaaa said:
Range killers are hated by a lot of survivors, so that explain the dc. But I played trickster for a long amount of time, and I rarely ever had people disconnect like that. I have had a couple of give up like they just stand and let me down them. But I think it's the trickster reputation, since I have noticed a large amount of trickster tend to camp, and tunnel. And that type of playstyle is disliked by a lot of people. So it could be since unfortunately he has a bad reputation. But I kind of get why a lot of people play trickster like that since like you said he is the weakest killer in game, so people will use those tactics to get downs.
It's probably the rep, ya.
They could honestly adjust his mechanics (slightly) to make it less of an issue, but his design DOES reward never breaking chase unless you get an injure.

I feel like Trickster is a very awkward killer, he isn't boring to play against by any means but it can sometimes be frustrating to play against him.
He's essentially a combination of Plague, Huntress, Deathslinger.
Plague in the sense that you have to hit a survivor with your power enough times in order to injure them.
Huntress in that he has a ranged attack which can travel extremely far.
And Deathslinger in that his projectiles have very small hitboxes and can therefore hit survivors through debris that they may not realise that you can aim through.
I believe that survivor frustration arises from the latter two similarities, in this game, ranged killers are notorious for being frustrating to play against due to hitboxes and latency. Trickster is no exception to this, I have had many experiences where the knife that he needed to down me somehow manages to hit me from round a corner.
I find it funny that you're seeing so many DCs though, I would say that Trickster is probably the least frustrating ranged killer to go against, maybe dedicated servers are acting up and latency issues are becoming more frequent? Therefore leading to more hits that don't seem deserved on the survivor's end?
Half the time, they are walking up to me, looking at me for a moment, and DCing on the spot. No real gameplay has occurred. If it was a rough time for them, I wouldn't really be confused by it. I might not agree with it, but I'd understand it. With Trickster, however, people DC the moment they see who it is, much less waiting for an actual conflict to arise. This has been the pattern thus far.
Also, just to reiterate, I wouldn't even bring this up if it was one in every 10 matches. Everyone gets matches where someone DCs the moment they don't like something. Currently, I'm 5 out of 7 matches where this has happened this morning. Seems rather high to be a coincidence.

Why not just have it do the closer scratch marks AND the normal ones? So you can see things from a distance, but when you're closer, you can clearly see the more accurate trail amongst the usual smattering.

Hey, this is all stuff I've been told on this very forum.
There's a thread in F&S where someone outright blames me, as Killer, for Survivors DCing. Like it's my fault they ragequit. 😂
Whiney Survivors and Killers are a vocal minority. Well, maybe not minority, but they are just vocal nerds. Most Survivors just go through a trial as normal, and bug out at the end to find the next match. Same with Killers.
I personally don't subscribe to the idea that playing a side automatically makes someone suddenly toxic or bad. It's reducing thousands of players to a single sentence that doesn't represent anything accurately.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
The killer wouldn't need to hook anyone. Do you know the pain of being slammed into the ground several times, having a weapon shoved into your neck before bring stamped on?
I don't but I don't imagine it's something to survive easy.
Also survivors could climb on top of each other to climb over the fence and escape.
Well, the hooking is purely for ritual, isn't it? Assuming that is still why everything is happening, they'd still hook for the sake of the Entity. Might not really matter, but it's what makes the dark god thing happy, right?

Tell them you're the president and CEO of deez nuts. Say nothing else. Just that.

Survivors believe playing any Killer is toxic, any perks are toxic, slugging, camping, and tunneling are all toxic, and that Killers have to throw if Survivors 3Gen.
So I'm not surprised people DC against a weak Killer like Trickster. Expect them to come onto these forums and whine that the DC penalty is unfair.
Or they will blame you for them DCing, like one scrub blamed me.
uh huh

You can't intentionally trigger them and run away unless the Hag is unable to teleport or is out of range at the time, since they can instantly teleport and hit you otherwise, and will always be in range unless they have the trap trigger range add-ons.
You can set them off when the Hag is busy with a chase, carrying another Survivor, etc. Just wait for the Hag to be in the middle of something and go nuts. Sure, they might use one of the teleports, but if they were doing something important, you made them drop it.
-
Nah, lets go for REALISM!
- There is no Red Stain or Terror Radius
- There are no scratches
- Everyone is in first person
- A fall from any distance over 10 feet can potentially harm or cripple a character
- Exhaustion perks are not a thing
- Auras and notifications are not a thing
- Quick vaulting would come with the chance of injuring the character
- Killers would have wildly different amounts of hits to down based on the weapon they are using
- Generators would take days to complete, require parts, tools, and fuel
- A single hook would make that Survivor incapable of nearly anything. They have a massive hole going through their chest
- Constantly changing direction would come with the risk of slipping/stumbling
- Deathslinger would outright kill with most shots
I don't feel like adding more, but this is enough to make the game much more realistic. Honestly, it'd be amusing to see a game that was this unforgiving.

"First 60 seconds of the match is not fun for Killers"
Unless it's Legion.
That first minute will be the only time in the entire trial they get to use their power and it does something.
-
I think it's an old habit and it's the only thing they feel they can bring to be equally nasty. With the Mori rework, however, it's simply not the case.
Yes, they could bring Franklins, but that could seriously hinder the build they want to use. If their playstyle is built around their perk loadout, a single change could be a serious issue and break the build. Hence, a Mori is the only thing remotely close they can bring to try and tip the scales, albeit not very much.

Every time I am hit, it's hitreg issues.

I like Plague.
I did not expect to like Twins. I don't like Twins.
Edit: OH, I thought I'd hate Oni. Turns out, I really enjoy playing him. He's a lot of fun, I just needed to learn how to use him.

Based on playing Victor, I think I'd hate him. Also, he has to cuss endlessly instead of having normal footsteps.

Yep.

Nea because even when I play Survivor, I want to be the most dangerous thing in the trial.
Currently main Trickster cuz I thought he'd be fun (albeit weak), though I'm seriously considering going back to Legion or hopping over to Plague. Puking on turbo-nerds never gets boring.

Tbh, I have no idea why mostly slasher become popular too, my Guess is that was a cheap formula and was SO overproducted that ppl just got into it
FNaF at least got its sucess from the bizarre and youtubers playing it
Slasher films have a few things that make them fun for the audience:
A visually unique and striking villain. There's also some attitude that comes with the villains that you normally don't get from other horror genres. Freddy is VERY confident and almost playful. Jason is a killing machine that is as quiet as he is indestructible. Chucky cusses a lot and sounds like he got kicked in the balls while pissing in a back alley of New Jersey.
Creative use of violence and gore. Jason in particular was notorious for creative kill scenes. Freddy is no slouch either.
Cat and mouse chases.
Most franchises start with a decent enough story that captures the imagination or paints the history of the villain in such a way that it is entertaining, moving, shocking, etc. It's a story that evokes an emotional response and maybe some understanding. While I wouldn't call him a traditional slasher movie villain, Candyman actually has a fantastic story.
Slasher movies, in general, opened the flood gates for a lot of creativity to get pumped into horror. This stagnated over time due to movie studios wanting to dumb them down to the base mechanics and pump out cheap movies for easy cash (though the genre has been reinvigorated from time to time with new ideas). They also came with a very notorious reputation for being the movies that conservative parents didn't want their kids seeing, which honestly increased their standing with the target audience (teens that wanted to see cool looking kills), whether or not the reputation was deserved. Friday the 13th movies in particular got hit with this, though many will tell you that they don't seem as brutal as outrage media made them out to be.

Doubt it.
There is an unwritten rule that Suda-51 properties only get love from the fans, not the industry.
