A one-use item that had that function could be interesting. Entity knows Survivors could use new items.
It would have to be a perk because no one is going to bring an item to a game with the small chance the killer has a mori. A perk that could counter a mori I would be okay with. In that way it would be like the unbreakable or deliverance perk. You might need it, you might not. Probably won't need it but just in case.
-
Because survivors unfairly depip and lose all their items and their offerings are pretty much wasted. Someone who plays survivor would understand this. As killer you don't have to lose anything because you can farm the remaining survivors. They'd be more than happy to let you because I've done it every time this happens. In the end survivors and killer walk away with a lot of blood points and no one depips.
I'm not saying you have to play like that but I'm saying if you don't you're a punk who deserves SWF bully teams. I mean you don't have any ground to stand on arguing against SWF if that's how you treat people who play solo.
-
I did it by playing myers mostly. Got it pretty quickly without even really trying. I didn't even know the trophy existed until I got it. Depends on what rank you are I guess. I was pretty low rank when I got it. I don't think I was even green ranks so that might be largely why it was so easy.
-
Spirit is the best killer. Always the most difficult killer to play against IMO. Rarely do I come across a nurse on console that is really good. Not saying that people can't get really good with her it's just not as common as a really good Spirit in my experience playing the game.
Nurse's are usually easier to juke unless she has more than three blinks. You just have to be unpredictable. Spirit just gets me all the time. I suppose there are perks you can use to counter the spirit but I'm not going to equip a bunch of perks just for her.

Survivor behavior is an actual treat to watch. Everyone sees ggez streamer plays and want to mimic them, except they don't realize the streamers are actually putting thought and skill into their saves. Altruism kills more survivors than anything else.
The thing about it that I find the most annoying is that they end up rewarding the killer for camping and then survivors want to whine about killers who camp. This is why they do it because you got players like these who reward them for it. It's nice that they wanted to save me but if they would have just done gens it would have taught that killer a lesson not to camp like that. If survivors wouldn't reward camping we'd see it a lot less of it. I feel bad for the next group of survivors who ran into this killer. Hopefully they weren't as dumb.
-
Because they are back posting within a week and we're suppose to pretend like that post never happened.

I've noticed that there's three types of camping.
- Facecamping: The most "toxic" type of camping where the killer stares the survivor directly in the face or is standing still near you to prevent you from getting unhooked. Easily countered by Borrowed Time, teammates rushing in, or doing gens.
- Proxy Camping Type 1: Proxy Camping Type 1 is where the killer patrols around the hook because he knows survivors are nearby. Either because he saw them, BBQ didn't proc, or other reasons. This is the least toxic method and is a legit strategy. Don't leave a hook when you know when you'll leave theyll be unhooked in 2 seconds.
- Proxy Camping Type 2: Proxy Camping Type 2 is where the killer patrols around the hook out of paranoia. A more active approach to facecamping where instead of staring directly at the hooked survivor, they try to find survivors nearby. Unlike Type 1 they don't have reasonable suspicion to believe there is someone nearby. This is an honest mistake by the killer if they are paranoid and can be annoying to deal with as survivors, but like Facecamping is easily countered by survivors doing gens.
Borrowed time won't counter a face camping killer with insidious. One reason leatherface with insidious is so annoying because there is no way to save the survivor. You just have to let them die.
-
If Blood Warden was OP a lot more killers would be using it but it's a perk that you don't see used that often. It's not a bad perk but it's so situational that a lot of people don't use it because they aren't sure if it'll come in handy or not. You'd rather use perks that you know for certain are going to help you in a match.
The good thing about Blood Warden (for killers) not being used often is that a lot of survivors aren't going to expect it especially if you're playing with someone other than Freddy. So it does catch a lot of survivors by surprise. If more people used it then it wouldn't work as well because it's not a hard perk to counter if you expect it (99% the gate, don't open the gate if someone is about to be hooked.)
-
If you are going to play huntress you have to get good with throwing hatchets. Trying to m1 her won't work because of her slow speed. If you spend your time trying to catch up to survivors to hit them with your base weapon, you are playing her wrong. Watch any good huntress and you will see that they rely heavily on hatchet throwing to win. They rarely use her base weapon.

Keys are the survivor equivalent of a Mori. The ability to escape with one or two gens still up is no different than the killer getting a kill after downing you two times instead of three.
If we’re using your logic, perhaps killers should complain that they deserve an opportunity to get a free kill if no one has been sacrificed by the time the exit gates are open. I mean, survivors get a free mercy hatch. So it would only be fair, right?
True. Keys are the equivalent of a mori. What's more is that survivors have addons to the keys where they aren't consumed upon use.
Killers typically won't derank with a mori. They will black pip most likely. This is assuming the mori is an ebony and they use it after the first hook on all survivors. If you only mori one survivor with an ivory and sacrifice the rest you'll probably pip up unless you were camping the whole game.
-
I'll usually slug the last two survivors. Otherwise you risk giving the other guy the hatch. The only exception is if I can hook one guy near the hatch so the other can't get to it. This is a common strategy among killers. Even when I play survivor I see a lot of other killers do it. Nothing to get salty about. It is expected.
-
Who needs bikini Jane when you got naked Hag. Now that's hot.
-
Play more and you'll eventually find out which ones you like and which ones you don't. It really depends on the player. When I make offerings for certain maps I base it on what I like not on what I think other survivors will like. My favorite as survivor is the swamp because I'm more of a stealth player and to me the swamp is an easy place to hide in. I hate Lerys because there is no place to hide but if you're a survivor who is really good at looping through windows you might like it.
-
@CornChip said:
The worst teammates are by far the ones who crouch walk around the map when the killer is nowhere near.
And the ones that sit in the corners doing absolutely nothing.
Unless playing against the hag and to a lesser degree the trapper. Against those killers you have to be careful where you step. Against the hag especially, I get pissed when they aren't crouching.
-
Kindred too powerful? That sounds like something a camping leatherface with insidious would say. If devs were serious about discouraging camping making Kindred a basekit would be a good idea. They could throw out being able to see other survivors and just make it to where survivors can see the killer's aura as a base kit. If survivors want to see each other than they need the perk.
-
As a survivor I love back water swamp. Always seem to win when playing that map. Least favorite as survivor is Lery's.
As killer my favorite map is Lery's. Least favorite is Haddonfield.

4% MS makes all the difference.
So plague is unfairly super strong then if she runs play with your food? You can get 15% MS with that.
-
Freddy is still an m1 killer so what if you run NOED? It's fair game IMO.
Funny thing is survivors will tell you "don't cleanse against the plague!" which basically gives her NOED throughout the entire game but according to popular wisdom that's the best way to win against her. Oh yeah and she's weak.
Micheal Myers basically has a built in NOED that occurs way before the end game if you run an infinite tier 3 addon. Actually it's much better than NOED since there isn't a totem survivors can cleanse to get rid of it.
-
The EGC actually has nothing to do with this. The same situation also existed prior to the EGC except that survivors would hide and make the match go on forever.
I have an idea for a solution though. Since we all know Left Behind is useless in its current state, devs could actually make the perk very viable by changing it. Instead of 75% increase to gen repairs, they could make it to where left behind grants the survivor 75% speed increase to opening gates IF they are the last survivor.
-
So you got hooked at the end and there was only one person left to save you? Did the killer have NOED? Was the killer camping? Were you far away? I don't always expect survivors to try and save me at the end. It annoys me much more when a survivor tries to save me and dies. I'll usually message them afterwards "I appreciate you trying to save me but if the killer is camping at the end just leave. Don't reward them for camping by getting yourself killed."
But It depends. If I feel they had a very good chance of saving me at the end I'll be a little annoyed if they just leave. But if the killer has NOED and time is running out or leatherface is in my face with his chainsaw and there's only one other survivor left then I can understand them leaving even if it was my first and only hook.
-
I use the snares as alerts mostly like I'll place them around hooked survivors or totems. They don't slow the survivors down enough imo. Even if a survivor runs through a snare, the time you take to place the snares down during a chase basically negates the slight slow down they get
from running on it. You have to place them down ahead of time guessing where a survivor might run to but the problem with that is that they are so easily visible that any sleeping survivor would know where you put the snares at and to avoid that loop. The dream pallets are better because it's hard for survivors to keep track of which ones are real and which ones are fake and they do a much better job at ending chases. -
I personally don't think there is anything wrong or broken about iridescent head. Survivors who complain about that I'm assuming don't play with the huntress much. Huntress is not as easy to play as people think. She takes a lot of practice to get good with the hatchets. If you are really good at hitting people with the hatchets, then you probably won't need the heads to get 4k. In the right hands she's a good killer, in the wrong hands you're missing 75-100% of your throws and screaming at the screen.
-
Spirit is the hardest. Nurse can also be hard but you also get a lot of people who don't know how to play with her and it can be easy. Spirit doesn't take as much skill and seems no matter what rank the killer is she's difficult to go against.
Leatherface is also very annoying simply because 9 times out of 10 he's a camper. So if you're the first to be downed expect a game over.

Loads of killers can camp efficiently so let's rework Hillbilly, Clown with instabottles, Huntress (with and without instahatchets), Ghostface, Myers, Doctor (instagrab in treatment mode), Wraith (cloaked to avoid borrowed), Pig (crouched to avoid borrowed), Plague with blood vomit, any killer with noed while we're at it.
None of those are as annoying or powerful as a leatherface camper. Against an insidious leatherface it is literally impossible to save anyone from a hook without both rescuer and rescued going down. At least with the other things you mentioned there is a chance at least one escapes. Against a leatherface with insidious there is no chance.
-
Kate is the only pretty one. The rest are ugly.
This is sole reason why I survivor main Kate.
-
When I first started playing I was so excited to get an ebony mori but now I pretty much never use them. Ebony Moris feel like a handicap you'd give a child who doesn't know how to play the game. It's like when I use to play Mortal Kombat with my little brother and I'd adjust the handicap to give him more health because that was the only way I could make it fair for him. That's what I think about when I see someone with an ebony mori.
The only time I might use an ebony mori now is if I see a group of survivors who were asses to me in a previous game and I just want to make things miserable for them.
-
Camping and tunneling won't get you ranked up and you get a lot less BP for doing so. That is the penalty. The only time camping won't punish the killer is if there are survivors near the hook. In that case they aren't considered camping.

something to prevent hexes from affecting you would be really nice, or avoiding the exposed status would be very cool too
It would be a good counter to NOED that so many people complain about. But keep in mind it would be an ultra rare offering like an ebony mori so it's not something a survivor could run every game.
And unlike some I don't consider insta-heals the equivlant of an ebony mori. Insta-heals are more the equivalent of iridescent heads or anything that causes the exposed status effect. Right now survivors don't really have anything that is the equal to an ebony mori. An ultra rare offering that greatly increases the chances of a winning. Killers have them but survivors don't.

Adrenaline rewards you for doing your objective. You get 5 gens, you are good, you get endgame bonus. That stuff rewards you for it.
NOED is opposite. If you didnt manage to kill everyone till 5 gen pops, you get your handicap.
But, i think that both of them are ok.
NOED punishes survivors for not cleaning totems.
NOED is a hex perk. It's up to survivors to clean totems to counter the hex. Just like Ruin. Where is the killer skill needed for ruin? None. The only difference is that Ruin is active at the beginning of the game, NOED at the end. Survivors have all game to counter NOED. It's their fault if they don't.
There are a handful of perks that don't require skill from the one using it. Take DS for example on the survivor side. It's a perk that does not require survivor skill but rather punishes killers who tunnel. How is that different from a killer perk that punishes survivors for gen rushing and not cleaning totems?
-
Another one
Invisibility potion: The survivors aura is not shown to the killer for the trial. The only exception would be if the survivor uses OoO. But any perk or addon the killer uses to see survivor auras will be canceled out.
-
Immunity: the survivor is immune to all negative status effects that would be inflicted by the killer for the trial.
This would not include negative status effects that are a result of the survivor using a perk such as ones that cause broken (no mither, deliverance) or an exhaustion perk or blindness resulting from jumping in a locker.
And yes it's OP. But so are ebony moris.
-
The fact that she destroyed you so quickly with an ebony mori and all that I can guarrentee you the killer did NOT rank up after that match. She might have even deranked. If she has hundreds of ebody moris like some people do she could potentially bully lower rank players hundreds of times without ever ranking up. THat's how dumb the ranking system in this game is.
And rank reset makes no sense. Why even have it? What is the point of it? I don't know.

What I am saying though is I don’t necessarily care that much if the fair, but struggling, killer gets NOED. Expecting 3 survivors to cleanse dull totems while a killer is camping is just nonsense, sorry. So if you were on the hook against a facecamper, and the others were running around the map looking for totems, you’d be good with that and not complaining that they are idiots? I find that hard to believe. Every second not on a gen against that basement Leatherface is a win for him. They should make a requirement that has to do the chaser penalty or something....you get penalized for camping, you can’t get NOED. I don’t know, just something.
A camping leatherface doesn't really need NOED. If someone is running NOED on a camping leatherface they are wasting a perk. Leatherface can one down survivors relatively easy anyway and if they get a survivor down in the end game they aren't going to be using NOED, they are going to be camping that guy with the chainsaw. NOED does not do much for leatherface.
And if someone is camping with a killer other than leatherface, they are playing with the wrong killer.
-
@miaasma said:
noed's potential impact on the game despite being totally unearned (you essentially have to do poorly throughout the game for it to have an impact later on) sort of speaks for itself
Noed is a counter to gen rush and it's basically the only one that exist other than ruin which can be gone in 30 seconds to start the match and even optimal survivors can power through ruin relatively quickly.
Nothing should be done with NOED until other objectives are added into the game.
-
Rank reset is fun for killers, terrible for survivors. Unless you play swf you're going to get a bunch of potatoes until you climb ranks again.
-
Leatherface is the ultimate camper. I don't know why people camp with any other killer. Makes no sense when I see a hag or any other killer camping. I mean if you're a camper, if that's your "strategy", then there is no better killer than leatherface. Just be him.
-
On console you rarely see a nurse and if you do 9 times out of 10 it's just someone trying to do a daily ritual and they lose. Spirit is the best killer on console.
-
If bubba is camping there is really nothing you can do. His chainsaw will down both rescuer and rescued instantly. In that instance you just have to escape. I don't even know why he had NOED. Bubba doesn't need it once he gets someone on the hook. Even if you cleansed NOED, you still wouldn't have been able to save anyone.
-
I'm only prestiging with Freddy for the trophies.
-
The problem is that Freddy's snares rely on people being asleep and yet the snares are not even that strong. Why are traps that can be easily countered weak? The Hag and the Trapper both have stronger traps and you don't even have to put people to sleep for them to work. While they can be countered, if you step in one of trapper's traps while being chased that's a hook for you. WIth Freddy you might get hit. At least with previous Freddy there was strong incentive to wake up but now that incentive is really low because the traps are not strong enough. Not even the addons make them strong.
And the generator teleportation takes too long and gives too much warning so you are barely saving any time with that, especially with smaller maps.
-
"Always knowing where you where without you knowing where he was. He could be right behind you and suddenly appear infront of you. No other killer gave you this much control and choices in the trial."
Myers can do this to a certain extent and in some ways better than old freddy could. Freddy has a lullabye so you knew when he was near, T1 Myers is completely silent and can appear without any indication whatsoever. Not even players with OoO can see him. The only drawback to a permanant T1 scratched mirror myers is he is slow and his lunge is terrible so he won't win chases. But sneaking up on survivors and grabbing them off generators is never easier.
-
Here's an idea: You start with the hex in an inventory. The killer chooses where he wants to put the hex. The Hex does not become active until the killer lays down the totem. Once the totem is placed and activated it cannot be repositioned. You can only reposition the totem if (1) no tokens have been earned for the totem yet or (2) no survivors have activated the hex yet. An example of the second one would be if no survivors tried a generator while ruin was placed.
-
Yeah swf makes this impossible.
-
I doubt they ever add him due to the controversy of the man behind it. In case you didn't know, the writer and director of Jeepers Creepers was arrested for molesting and filming young boys. Even though that happened in the 80's there a lot of people who still don't want to associate with him.
-
Running Tuft of hair with judiths tombstone is extremely risky even for good players. If you get optimal survivors they'll be out the gates before you reach it Also you probably won't make many bloodpoints or pip up even if you manage to kill all 4 because of how the ranking system is. It simply does not reward you for playing well with tombstone myers despite the fact that it can be very difficult.
The only reason to play tombstone myers is because of how incredibly satisfying it is to just grab a survivor and kill them.
-
Killing a survivor with tombstone myers.

And yet you're also avoiding contact with the people who want to say "GG" or just give you tips. I've want to to tell people i play against "GG" "I main the killer you were playing, try doing this differently" stuff like that and don't get the chance because of their privacy settings. if we had the chat box on console it would be easier to do these things. Also, if you can't take the salt then maybe you shouldn't be playing the game.
people who want to message nice things are a minority. As it is with ps4 right now majority don't message anything (which is fine) but the ones who do message 9 times out of 10 it's to call you trash. This is why people have their messages turned off. I don't turn off my messages but I understand those who do. It gets tiring and makes you think everybody who plays this game is a spoiled brat whose parents don't love them.
-
If someone leaves me a nasty comment I just block them. Don't entertain them. They are immature and not worth your time.
It's just that most kids are immature and immaturity goes hand in hand with rudeness and being toxic. I know there are exceptions and there are some good kids out there. But it's generally true. That's why when an adult acts that way you say they are acting like a child.
-
Good idea.
-
What rank are you? In lower ranks you get a lot more campers because some people are not as experienced (and hard face campers rarely make it passed rank 15) When I first started playing this game I was a camper. That's just the first thing many people do before they really learn the game and start to realize there are better strategies out there. I wouldn't assume they are doing it just to give you a hard time. It might not be malicious. It could just be inexperience.
