If I’m running Disstressing + Huntress Lullaoyou can bet no one is hitting that skill check not even the most experienced survivors, any success would be luck.
-
Just don’t spend on cosmetics, use your shards instead. I’ve been playing for over 3 years and I’ve spent no more than $20 on this game.

It's not cheating since most people use chats that aren't even directly related to the game. The devs can't stop people from using Discord or Xbox or PS4 party chats.
Call of Duty can do it, specifically when playing the game mode Search and Destroy.

Yes Doctor is.
Whispers is super strong on him now
With Distressing and Calm Carter's notes and Calm Class III, his static blast's reach is ridiculously large and his Shock Therapy is much more consistent at loops.
Doctor is much better than he used to be. If you put the effort into finding out what works really well with him then you'll find some good results.
Impossible skill check Doc is also even better
Again I have to disagree simply because he cannot do anything with longer loops, such as those on Blood Lodge, Coldwind or even most Autohaven pallet zones. Keep in mind this does not include infinites.
Now I’m not saying he is completely useless, but I don’t agree he’s any “stronger” than before. Simply because his static shock doesn’t recover fast enough at medium loops. He’s also easy to mindgame at medium size loops and those that break line of sight.
To counter your Impossible Skill Checks Claim, any killer who relies on a hex to provide immense amount of power is not a good example of a better killer. His add-on dependency also ‘supports’ this build. In short, It has to many variables that must be in place in order to be completely capitalized on.

Is that you True? Seriously, you are an expert in revisionism. True did not popularize anything. GF and the way True played him was already popularized by Monto and several others. In fact, you can almost time True's attempts to "create" builds and ideas after other streamers have already done it. True is a hack, and not even a good one. I've faced him before and he is extremely predictable. Compared to much better players, such as Zubatlel (whom I don't personally find entertaining in his streams), True is ok at best. I find his streams to be comical as he usually fails to identify his mistakes, instead blaming the game for them.
None of this matters though. Fan bois will defend, but we will all have to wait and see what happens.
You’re really making this more personal than it has to be. Never did I say I support tru3 or his gaming, in fact I’ve disagreed with his position most of the time.
However, if you pay attention to the OP, the subject is about the video made, if you cared enough to watch it, and are as competent as a player as you make yourself out to be, you’d also see that he makes a lot of excellent points.

Tru3 isn't a dev.
Tru3 isn't a time traveller.
Tru3 knows just as much as us.
Stop taking his word for granted all the time. Remember him thinking GF was awful and now GF is played a lot and works well.
Remember when he said New Doctor was gonna be awful but now he's turned out to be one of the most oppressive killers ever.
Y'all really need to stop taking his word for everything
Tru3 isn’t a dev: It doesn’t take a dev to understand what MMR is and how it affects a game, and tbh most of the time the Devs don’t act like devs.
Tru3 isn’t a time traveler: To be fair no one is a time traveler, unfair standard to hold anyone to.
Tru3 knows just as much as us: Tru3 may have the same information as we do, however, he knows how to break down the wording the devs choose to use in a manner most people aren’t able to, and if you able to as well, you can predict what will happen. Watch Tru3’s video in comparison to Pauli’s Esther’s and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Stop taking his word for granted all the time. Remember him thinking GF was awful and now GF is played a lot and works well: Tru3 was right about GF being awful, the way GF is successful in his current state as a killer was because Tru3 popularized a new way to use his power, one no one had thought of.
Remember when he said New Doctor was gonna be awful but now he's turned out to be one of the most oppressive killers ever: New Doctor is actually not that great, he’s NOT a better Killer than before. One reason he is performing well is because survivors are still learning to adapt to his new play style. The only other reason he (and many other killers) are performing well is because the huge migration of skill-lacking survivors who have made their way into red ranks. Players who have quite a bit of experience in red ranks season after season can loop the Doctor all game without much effort.
-
I’m personally not a fan of Tru3, however, he makes a lot of good points in his video. First video he made that I actually liked in a long time.
Scott Jund actually made pretty good points on his video as well.

Idk why either but they said Rank won’t mean anything anymore except for “bragging rights”
To be honest of all things that this game has gone through over the last 3 years I’ve played it, this one feels the most shady.
I already don’t trust the company as it is now, I don’t feel like they care about the longevity of the players either, hence the hiding of ranks, saying they won’t mean anything anymore and calling it “bragging rights” now.
The sad part is most people within the newer generations won’t complain about any of this, they’ll just leave and play something that feels more rewarding
-
I’ve noticed it occurs more often when everyone is slugged with 1 person on the hook, or when multiple people are on the hook at the same time
-
I feel like it’s all about the money now. A lot of streamers (some even fog whisperers) think the game was in a better state 3 years ago. Not really as far as “balance” more so of the mindset the devs had about trying to make the game more fun and les about a quick dollar.
-
Might be because they’re some of the only viable killers out there. Think about it and how it correlates to which rank you are.

he was talking about the bug that reveal level 4 and that challenge can be done easily just put empathy and hide near you injured teammate until he go down
sorry I assumed everyone was aware that the leak happened when the new Tome came out
-
or you know, for a mere $5, you can just buy David and Jane and bypass that challenge. It’s not like this was planned or anything...
-
So if I slug everyone and let them bleed out, does that make me a “good player”?

We’ve observed a growing Community concern about matchmaking in recent months. Matchmaking wait times have exceeded our targeted limits and we’ve seen rank disparities fluctuate. In this Status Update, we will go in details on factors impacting the matchmaking, our current matchmaking system and our future solutions.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/793/ZSC8B6CPRDCP.png
Above are the three variable factors in matchmaking, with a fourth being the number of players on each role, with an ideal ratio of 4 survivors for 1 killer at all times. When dealing with matchmaking, we need to decide how much to focus on each of the factors. If we focus on one point, the other points will see some sort of impact. For example, if we focus on time, your matches will likely end up being less fair, and you might get paired with people further away. Dedicated servers have helped us ensure a stable connection, with over 90% of players being put into matches with 150 ping and under. Our goal is to get you into a match as quickly as possible with a good connection, without compromising too much on fairness.
This is a difficult task in a game like Dead by Daylight, where both sides have different objectives and cannot be directly compared to one another. We’ve attempted to address this in the past with the Emblem system, but upon further review, we’ve concluded that rank does not directly correlate to skill. While a player who plays a lot will tend to be better than someone who plays very little, there are also players who are good at the game but don’t play enough to reach the upper ranks.
To help improve with the fairness factor without sacrificing wait times or pings, we will be making two changes. The first is a new system to better reflect a player’s skill level, and the second is a change to the matchmaking system to create fairer matches.
Going forward, we will use a hidden skill rating for matchmaking purposes. Your skill rating will increase when you do well and decrease when you do poorly. To keep this as fair as possible, the system will predict the outcome of the match based on the difference in your opponent(s) rating and adjust the amount your rating changes:
- If your rating is higher than your opponent(s), your rating will increase less if you win and drop more if you lose.
- If your rating is lower than your opponent(s), your rating will increase more if you win and drop less if you lose.
This way, even if you aren’t perfectly matched with people of the exact same skill level, your rating will not change unfairly.
In the future, we would like to extend this system to support different ratings for each killer, allowing you to practice a new killer without being immediately matched against high skilled players. This may not be included in the initial launch of the feature.
Additionally, to make sure that your matches are as fair as possible, we will be switching over to “batch matchmaking”.
Currently, our matchmaking system takes the player in queue and looks for a match close to their rank. If it is unable to find an appropriate match, it will gradually expand the search range until it is able to give you a match. This can lead to both unfair matches and long queue times.
The new batch matchmaking will instead pool a larger number of players together, compare their skill levels, and then create the fairest matches possible simultaneously. With a larger pool to pick from, we hope to improve the fairness factor of matchmaking while also keeping pings and wait times low.
The release of these changes will be gradual. With the release of the mid-chapter update, we are able to start tracking skill levels. For the time being, this is only a test and is not being used for matchmaking purposes. Once we are confident that the skill rating is working as intended, we will be running tests on live servers.
When this happens, you may notice some disparity in ranks during your matches. This is to be expected as rank will no longer be used for matchmaking purposes at this time. To avoid confusion, we are considering removing ranks from the post-match scoreboard once testing is complete, as they will no longer be relevant to matchmaking. Ranks will remain visible only to you for bragging rights and a goal to work towards, but will be a reflection of your dedication to the game rather than skill for the time being.
We are confident that these changes will allow us to create fairer matches without losing sight of our goals; to get you into a match as soon as possible with a solid connection. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on our progress as we move forward.
you’ll find all the information on news after patch 3.5.0 in that link.
-
Most likely a baby nurse, nothing more frustrating than playing a high learning curve killer that punishes yo for using her power, more so without add-ons.
-
If you can read between the lines, It’s just to hide the Ranks. This “secret measurement of skill” cannot measure skill in this game since there are TOO many variables to account for.

I think killer is still 30%+ of the players still.
I disagree, the only reason you may be getting faster queue times as survivor is most likely due to the Tome challenges that have come out. Otherwise, the queue times were a lot worse before this mid chapter update. It’s only temporary though, I wouldn’t call it 30%

Kate is small and quiet (and kind of cute) so try running her. But please don't buy dlcs on this reason
I already have her maxed out P3 just like most of my survivors and yes I do believe she is second quietest after Ace

@Spooky13 said:
If you are buying survivors based on how quiet they are, just buy Ace. This is the dumbest reason to not buy a DLC. I can understand not wanting to buy stuff until BHVR gets their game on track as some form or protest, but seriously?
I have Ace already he came free with the game. But damn have you heard Jeff, Ash, Jane, and Yui? I can hear them on the other side of the shack when they’re hiding in a locker.

@Coder said:
Oh my God! What are the devs going to do without your 30 dollars!
It’s more than just $30, it causes a domino effect, such as; it’s cosmetics that are not obtained, more gameplay through the new survivors, extra bloodpoints having to be obtained/earned to rank up said survivor, etc. To you it might be just $30, but that’s how a first world person thinks I guess 🤷♂️
-
That would be great, but also a 24% percent decreased movement speed for the rest of the game if self-unhooking is successful.
-
He’s still too easy to loop. You can trick him into using shock at a loop only to move onto the window or next pallet.
Once he’s used shock to try to block the vault, move onto the next one and boom you’ve created more distance already. This allows you to loop both areas now (the one he tried to shock you at and the new one) until you force him to break the pallet and move onto the next loop.

Huh?! You’re joking aren’t you?! Implying I don’t play much killer?!
Absolutely not joking. Your comment made shows that you fail to understand the significance of Ruin as a perk to the blatantly fast gen speeds rather than as a crutch. If you do play Killer, I assume it’s in the lower ranks. Do us a favor, play as Huntress and throw on a Red Mask map offering at red ranks and show us how you do.
-
Have you spent money on the game yet, besides the actual game itself?
-
@hex_genrush said:

I disagree with you. 60% of the time, 45% of people who disagree fall within the category of the 15%-33% who disagree on the extreme level.
-
Keys make me feel robbed as a killer when the survivor would have otherwise died. It’s a free escape card to whoever doesn’t bring Franklin’s.
Furthermore, someone can always pick up your key, regardless if they’re eliminated by a Mori early in the game.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
It was inevitable that this Ruin change would filter out the killers that don’t truly know how to play this game from those that never needed Ruin to begin with.
The upside I see is that BHVR will work on further map balancing. And any new players we get won’t be tarnished with an unhealthy perception of old Ruin.
Nah it’s more about gen speed and stress relation than “needing Ruin” I can see you don’t play much Killer though 👍
-
Infectious Fright - didn’t think much of it. Now I end games in less than 60 seconds because how great it is.

This must be the survivor mains Tier list

-
You: Killers need skill and to nerf crutch perks like Ruin
Also You: Devs I cant hit great skill checks on Ruin pls nerf.
-
No but I’ve seen killers try it, the result is queue times have increased for survivors.
-
Slug. It can be a nasty and unfun way play, but what choice do you have?
-
The only reason I dodge is if I wanna have fun with my Demogorgon or do a daily ritual but I see 3/4 toolboxes and a map or a key.
I don’t want to have to play Billy or Spirit all the time just to keep up with the RNG maps and broken loops. And I don’t like using Mori’s, although lately I’ve not had a problem throwing those in.
-
He’s still too easy to loop
-
Sometimes you have to recluse out your game and restart it because the fps gets so low that it needs to be ‘refreshed.’
If you’re still experiencing frame issues, I’d suggest playing survivor, the fps doesn’t affect you and it’s a lot less stressful gameplay on top of it all.
-
@Kilmeran said:
I have actively recommended against it to my fans when we talk video games.
Same here, even before the nerfs and queue times.

Play survivor and farm to max out bloodpoints. Until Killer is worth playing (more fun than stressful) I’m sticking to survivor.
-
keep it up, your fun is not worth the stress that comes as playing Killer at red ranks.

It doesn't matter how good you are, if they were good, they would have left after they knew you weren't going down in 30 seconds.
Happens to all killers. You can’t choose which optimal survivor to chase if they’re all the same skill level.

I got to level 70 with 33 days left and I didn't buy a single tier, I think people are exaggerating how hard it is, especially given there is a significant increase of challenges this time around.
You also have ~4000 hours in the game. If it took you 33 days, which is approximately half of the time the rift is up, then in order to completed, it would take a player who has an average of ~2000 hours in the game to complete. That is significantly more hours than the average player has. Not to mention that players like you and I have almost no difficulty completing these challenges because of experience. I’m sorry but I think you need to give casual players fair credit here.
-
@SenzuDuck here is some proof of that claim (most people never get to even prestige level 1 on Xbox, only ~5% do, which gives newer players significant advantage over others with the extra bloodpoints from purchasing DLC)
-

60K bp is like one bloodwed at level 50, it certainly isn't pay to win, not even close, it doesn't give you a distinct advantage having addons/items/perks etc when you could still very well lose regardless.
Assuming most people aren’t level 50 though, (at least on Xbox) this is a significant advantage over other newer players

To add to the above, not only are the DLC characters not required to complete the other Tome challenges, they're also not required to complete the Rift. However, you will miss out on about 10 tiers' worth of progress if you skip all the challenges which require a DLC character or DLC perks, which you will have to make up for by grinding XP.
10 tiers is approximately 40-50 games if that’s correct? Assuming you stay alive (survivor) for x amount of time. How does this affect casual players?
