Welcome to Year 3 of console players asking for DBD to run better than PS2 games. I hope you have this game through Xbox Pass at least.
-
Only if you play as Nurse or Spirit, however, you have to act quickly and be perfect with the second attempt or it is lost for the rest of the trial.
As for Billy, in my experience, sometimes but almost certainly not easily able to fix mistakes, all dependent on RNG for him.
-
You won’t see this discussion getting “pinned”
-
Cool, glad you got it restored. I have double of most things now for some reason, from the Huntress Mask, Donkey Jacket, Pro-Pain Hammer and Kate’s Top..
-
I had her P3 on the first day, it’s really just the will to grind if you ask me.

And on maps or locations, such as on the MacMillain Estate maps with generators near nothing but a large rock and 3 trees, doing that generator is a mistake on my part, right? Not an unfortunate part of random map selection.
Having a Hillbilly refuse to let his saw down for a second, chasing me for three times as long through a jungle gym just to get a saw down is my mistake too, right? Not rewarding his bad play.
You see what I'm getting at? Hillbilly can reward bad play on the killer's side or misfortune of survivors just as much, if not more, as punishing bad play.
Yeah tbh it kinda is your fault. You’ve already made mistakes by working on a generator that has low priority against a killer like Billy. In fact, any generator without any pallets close by is a bad thing, Billy just capitalizes better in this scenario.
As soon as you hear a chainsaw rev, if you’re experienced enough, you’ll know wether it’s a Hillbilly or a Bubba, from then, you should know when to tuck tail and run or just stay away from that specific generator.
I’m not trying to call you a noob, but it sounds like you don’t have much experience playing this game, or at least against Hillbilly if you can’t figure out what a “low priority gen” is and which is not.
-
Maybe with an add-on like Nurse’s Spasmodic Breath.
-
Billy is fine he’s easily loopable just learn to play against him or he will capitalize on your mistakes.
-
It’s sounds like a damn velociraptor I swear it’s annoying
-
Who cares as long as it’s a killer problem. Just like mute survivor sound in the dying state, sounds in general, the Wraith-flashlight bug, etc.
It really shows after the Ruin nerf that the devs favor survivors and will cater to their needs, just take a look at how fast DS was fixed when it was bugged with Doctor’s skill checks.
-
On the Xbox one X I have to close out my game every couple games if I want to enjoy killer fps, even then it’s not that great, can range anywhere from 20-30 fps.
For survivor, the only thing that is obvious in fps drop is when hovering over bloodwebs, load outs, etc.
-
In the screenshots I can’t see your load out, is it cutoff on purpose?
-
If they just removed the damn speed unnecessary speed boost you get from it-it would be fine, or at least require a minimum number of hooks so that it may activate.
It’s just an ego boosting perk the devs created for killers who do too poorly which requires no skill on their part, furthermore, it teaches the killer absolutely nothing.

... You must not come around the forums very often if you think i'm survivor sided at all LUL
I never said you're survivor sided at all, just that you think survivor queue times are a joke.
No I don't come around the forums often btw, I have waaaaayyyyyy more important things that I prioritize before coming here.

did you read what i said or just took random words to make "swf is the problem and make killer quits so im right" in your head ?
I said, if there are long queues at higher ranks, it's because swf take survivors from the lower ranks and put them in high ranks matches, making that there are not enough killers, not because killers quit playing. Plus new rank reset makes it way easier to stay in high ranks so even more survivors
one last time :
it is not related to the population's size on the game and your pointless theory of "playing killer is too hard so people dont play killer"
Sorry if I have trouble understanding your wording, but your theory currently is that there are low rank survivors being brought to high ranks by their friends, so there are not enough killers to compensate correct? So in case you didn't look at my screenshots, none of those people were low ranks, so it definitely was not the case for me, in fact, I haven't had a green rank survivor in my lobby since rank reset.
Secondly, if you believe for a second in your own words that killers haven't stopped playing, even with the last screenshot of a killer literally telling me they are done playing killer, along with many killers who just don't care to play at high ranks anymore then there is nothing more I can say to you other than please open your eyes.
-
@Kagari_Leha said:
So you're just clickbaiting by saying "oh that's because people stop playing killer" when it's NOT related AT ALL to the population's size on the game, it's related to the division of the population (mainly swf making it unbalanced and making survivor queues longer)
Only two of those screenshots were SWF, a 4-Man and a 2-Man. Thinking they were a full squad just shows how insane high ranks are for killer, only further proving my point that-that's what high rank killers have to go against and why you keep getting matched up with green and yellow rank killers.
-
@NullEXE said:
I read that, and all I got from it is that I should start using a steering wheel to play Hillbilly.
https://www.twitch.tv/ohtofu/clip/AmazonianFastClipsdadPogChamp?filter=clips&range=7d&sort=time
Assuming you play killer at all, why do you think your survivor queue times are so high? Or better yet,why do you think you constantly get mathced up against green or yellow rank killers??
-
Everyone who's saying "It's balanced 2 kills 2 deaths" You have to realize that the amount of energy and stress just for those 2 kills or more is absolutely not worth the effort. Compared to the "skills" needed to survive as survivor is the reason why your survivor queue times are so high.
-
@Endstille said:
I agree with what you wrote there but I am not sure if everybody is even able to understand it.
It really takes being a killer main at high ranks or at least 50/50 to be able to understand how bad the problem really is. Glad you feel the same way though.

It's not a theory. Since the rank reset changes, more people can easily stay in high ranks. Since there are more survivor players and more of them can stay in high ranks, there are too many. Have you noticed that more red rank survivors are actually not good at the game?
Your post was an analogy of your personal frustrations with the game.
Clickbait, indeed.
So according to your theory, since there are more high rank players now, shouldn't their be more high rank killers as well? That's where there's a hole in your theory. Not all killers depipped after the rank reset, it's just there's no one WANTING to play high rank killer. It was never as easy of an answer as you made it seem.
Assuming you are a high rank player, can you tell me without a doubt that you've gone up against mostly red rank killers? Because if that's the case then you are an exception to every screenshot, streamer, and other forum member on here who has experienced otherwise.
-
@thefallenloser said:
You didn't explain the title. For those who got clickbaited and are looking for an answer:
There are too many survivors and not enough killers in high ranks.
You didn't explain the reason for your theory, if you actually read my post, you'd see that I did. Nice try calling it clickbait though.
-
Idk why the delay in the DLC is triggering so many people. Don’t you have other responsibilities or matters you should probably attend to ?
-
this has been an issue on all platforms not just Xbox. In fact, it’s been like this for months (Yes even on Xbox).
the reason you may have just started noticing it more is probably because:
1.) You haven’t been in Red ranks very long, this is actually the norm for Red rank survivors.
2.) The Rank reset bug - set people back further so as you quickly made it up to red ranks there were some competitive killers around still.
3.) Killer mains only play to finish the Tome and either stop and switch to survivor or to play something else completely, hence the lack of high rank killers.
Might be a combination of one or more though. I’m leaning more towards killers don’t play as much though.
-
From what I hear pretty soon you’ll be matched by “skill” except you won’t ever be able to know you were still playing against yellow rank killers
-
When an equally competitive game comes out, from what I hear the new Resident Evil might just do that.
-
I don’t stress over it, I get around to finish the challenges either way so I’m not in dire need to get them done.
I will say, however, they’re unhealthy for the game IMO and give the killer an artificial sense of accomplishment/skill because of the survivors throwing the game just to complete the challenges.
-
These screenshots are weeks or even months apart. Look at the gaps of difference in Devotion level
-
Mostly the disconnection from the customers (us) at this point.

ITs logical, the game is currently very survivor sided if we look at how ez it is to rank up.
(you can blame insecure survivors for that btw, they felt inadequate if the game did not reward them with a rank up for mediocre gameplay, so the devs ermm listened to this whining and voila, every survivor to the red ranks!)
So, Survivors easily get to red ranks and killer stay behind.
The system tries to pair Red ranks with Red ranks but there arnt any Red rank killers...soooo it takes a while, keeps looking and as time goes on it broadens its search parameters, suddenly purple rank killers are fine as well, searching.....searching....hmm no purple ranks, FINE, green ranks it is, searching searching....THERE WE GO, finally, enjoy your match.
@EvilJoshy said:
Ruin had something to do with it, despite many on these forums claiming it didn't.
It didn't affect good survivors but it kept the crappy ones from ranking up. Taking out ruin is the same as giving participation trophy's. You think you accomplished something? Now we got survivors in red ranks that can't even loop. They whine that killer is OP, the devs look at their red rank and assume "They must be know what they're talking about" so killer gets nerfed even more.
Combined with all the nerfs killer has been getting and red ranks flooded with survivors. We have a system where killers are thrown at whoever is first in line. Regardless of if it's a fair match or not. Granted it is 4 vs 1 and if killer was op you would have no one playing survivor. It's like Friday the 13th where everyone wanted to be Jason. But the devs have to keep killers happy just enough to get them to stay. They've been failing miserably at that part.
So I’m assuming based on your responses that the devs never gave clear answer then?
-
Ah yes that seems to be the most optimal way. However I did not see that until too late so I had to come up with mine last minute. Did you find this somewhere or make it?
-
Devs won’t care/listen until Killers stop playing or until people stop spending money.
I just queue up as survivor now, just waiting for the MMR to mask the lack of high rank killers soon.
-
Not enough killers left but we need survivors to keep spending money in the merch. shop since they tend to spend more-specifically when playing with friends. Solution?... We can’t retain high rank killers and have survivors keep spending money... It’s time to hide the Ranks so the green rank killer never knows he played a red rank SWF squad. Ultimately, the killer will think 1 of 3 things.
1.) Wow I got good enough at the game to be put up against a squad like this. Derp.
2.) The matchmaking must be off I wonder what is really going on..?
3.) I quit this game
Meanwhile survivors will continue to blindly spend money as long as they can be milked.
-
Damn you got bullied, with a Billy 😬
-
Saying she was reworked is a nice way of saying she was nerfed
-
This might be a PS4 thing only.
I don’t have both on Xbox just one of each.
-
They need to make it an option for killers at least, survivors aren’t affected by it as much.
Sounds are broken as they are, I don’t need chase music blowing out my ears on corn maps where I can barely see anything.

Yeah I see how he just sucks on the survivors head like a tootsie pop and well, I guess the survivor suffocates or something
-
Doesn’t matter if you’re Killer, your fun doesn’t outweigh the money spent by a group of SWF.
My advice, play less killer, play more survivor.
-
I see no Legacy Blendette in this collage, did they escape?
-
No real answer apparently

Congratulations, you’ve won worst bait of the month so far.

Console sensitivity change when?

I've seen a pattern, if the item is very close to fully used (you can barely see the white in the bar) that's the only time they get lost.
Was this the case?
No it wasn’t, it was about 60% full.
I also found a Purple Flashlight with Plunders and wasn’t able to keep that either. Actually I did keep it, but it subtracted 1 Purple Flashlight from my inventory.
The Purple Flashlight I had gotten with Plunders was about 80% used
-
As long as you spent X amount of money on the game, I doubt the devs care if you take a finite or infinite break.
I do believe this is the best decision for your stress and hormone balance though.

Not really. I've seen posts like this saying they quit and arent coming back until the game gets fixed. Their back in the game and active on the Fourms in 1 weeks. Their just attention baiting posts hoping to scare the devs because they lost 1 player who's going to come back in 1 week
I think that used to be the case, this game doesn’t seem to be changing to benefit anyone other than beginners who will put in money then rinse and repeat with newer survivors.

I switch thana each now and then with spirit fury, but I dont like running Dying light, the fact that the obsession is not affected by it is a huge drawback in my opinion, not that its a bad perk, I just dont like it.
I also consider enduring a necessity on legion, because it allows you to reduce the stun from frenzy by getting hit by a pallet.
Anyways, thanks for the advice, I will take it into account.
It’s okay to hook your obsession or even slug them if you have to, but I understand Dying Light isn’t for everyone.
Either way, here is a game from about an hour ago that I had as Legion with the recommended build, cheers 🍻
-
Nice build, however, Trade Spirit Fury and Enduring for Thanatophobia and Dying Light, then it will truly be a good build.
I also recommend Filthy Blade and Nasty Blade, switch out Nasty Blade for Iridescent Button when you go against a really strong team.
Props on catching on though.

That's how ranked games work. It puts you against people of similar skill. Whether dbd needs a casual mode or not is another question.
DBD will be switching ranks for MMR as the ranks in dbd kind of didnt work.
That’s my argument though, high skilled killers won’t want to play if all they’re put up against is voice comm SWF.
They will either continue to play until they’re fed-up, or intentionally throw games to be able to “rank down” if you will, in MMR.
Same goes with the top SWF. They’re not going to want to face Eboni’s every game just because they have high MMR scores. That becomes boring at some point.
-
@Fibijean said:
How do we know that the only people at top ranks will be SWF? Did they end up releasing the details of how the MMRs are calculated after all?
No, however it is quite obvious whatever will be calculated towards MMR will usually be hire with people who play SWF.
For example, imagine the longer the chase, the higher the MMR is for survivor. If I’m playing with a team and my partner is being chased, I can tell them, “hey don’t go to the left side of the map there’s only 1 pallet left.” This would lead them to go to the right side of the map, therefore leading to longer chase times and a higher score.

Imagine denying the fact Almo posted proof swf don't perform significantly higher than solo queue.
I have to disagree with those statistics. Simply because we don’t know where those survivors fall under a normal distribution curve. For example, is that the average group of SWF or somewhere near the lower end of the spectrum.
What I can tell you, is that it does NOT apply to good teams. The team I play with escape almost 100% of the time even with Eboni’s, granted we each have over 4000 hrs played.
Also sorry for the late reply been busy with school.
