Am I not entitled to an opinion? I play both sides. I don’t see keys as much as I do mori’s. And when I do see keys I sometimes end up sacrificing that survivor so it doesn’t matter. But hey great input, thank you for stopping bye lmao.

What rank killer do you play and what rank survivor do you play? I’m high ranks, a Key will make a hell of a lot more difference than a Mori will.

  • I’ve tested this several times. If you get hit while injured and use a Styptic or are saved with BT-while at the same time, you have your MoM ready to activate, BT will take priority.

I don’t know why but it does. Try it out with a tank build if you’d like, it’s actually really fun.

*Edit to add: If you get hit while in the endurance status effect, MoM will NOT activate and you will instantly go down. Therefore, use MoM to take the hit, then use Styptic to tank the second hit.

*Note: MoM cannot be used if you are in the healthy State and get hit with a chainsaw or any other one-shot attack. MoM will only work in the injured state.

  • “I play 50/50 here” also, “I don’t mind keys”

-“From someone who plays both sides.”

  • You can also hold a fully charged blink and go absolutely nowhere even if your staring straight at an open field.

  • A fix is gonna happen, and by a fix I mean they’re gonna hide the ranks that way you can’t complain anymore 🥂

  • But didn’t you hear, mid-chapter patch 3.7.0 “decreased gen-time efficiency” and was “completely killer sided” while “further needing survivors”

•If you ask me though, this patch did absolutely nothing in terms of helping killers enjoy the game any better. Just look at survivor queue times, they’re the exact same as before.

  • It would be nice for solo survivors in the loading menu.

  • Throw on a Lery’s offering with your Nurse and bring no add-ons/perks.

You’ll learn a lot how having add-ons/perks can blind you from doing your objective, knowing when to stop chasing a survivor, and strategizing which area to defend.

  • He also thinks it could’ve be: Candyman, Alien (from the 80’s movie), Pennywise, and now Jason... he might be looking into this too much if you ask me.

  • No. They were cool for like 2 days then I got over them. A lot of other battle passes give WAY better rewards so DBD’s charm really pale in comparison.

  • +1 OP statements, the queue times haven’t improved for survivor, as a high rank killer I can conclude that other killers don’t believe this patch is enough. It is a step in the right direction but it will need more work.

  • No one wants to play Killer at high ranks still even after this update. So the survivor search queue expands to purple rank killers, and when those get full they go to green rank killers and so on.

  • This only seems to benefit most players who don’t have the majority of perks/items unlocked but would like to have more without having to grind.

Sadly, if any idea like this was implemented, it would defeat much of the purpose of the grind and would cause backlash from most of the player base who have put in thousands of hours unlocking perks and items already.

Just look at what happened when they tried to sneak in the Scorching Summer Cosmetics and Moonrise Year of the Dog Cosmetics into the free cosmetics giveaway.

Nope, you did get punished because you picked someone up who had the potential to have DS instead of the two guys you had on the floor for a longer time.

But hey, you did not understand your mistake in your other Thread, so no reason to repeat it again. Stubborn people tend to stay stubborn.

Like I said, there are usually other Survivors. And if you are really worried that that one guy can do too much, you can slug.

Pretty sure I went full circle on every survivor that game. Anyways, wouldn’t expect you to think DS needs any tweaks anyways, it is the most powerful survivor perk which you so proudly defend.

  • @YuiKim said:

Damn another post complaining about DS?

Make it only reduce 15s and im fine with it.

And make deactivate if you enter a locker

The reason is because it is easily an immunity perk for quite a long duration. I will say that 15 seconds is a start though.

Also, I don’t agree with the locker technique disabling DS because if a killer chases a survivor off the hook and the survivor jumps into the locker, then the killer will be able to immediately grab the survivor out of the locker with no penalty.

"Darn they already figured out I just want tunneling to be easier"

^Every person who makes these threads when they see the comments

Eh it would be true if most killers tunneled, which in my experience they don’t.

Yeah, I have you in mind as that guy who complained about DS while slugging a whole team with 5 Gens left and too stubborn to pick one of the other two guys up instead of that one that might have had DS. Hard to turn that off.

But that aside, my statement stands - there are other Survivors. Go for them. And you will never have to complain about DS again.

If I am able to do that, a more competent Killer (and I have no doubt that you are one) will be able to do so as well.

I did that and got punished for being to optimal, since you remember so well 😊

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

    I'll be nice about this.

It isn't fun being slugged on the floor as someone else is getting hooked, but it's a valid strategy, it's the risk I take for using DS and I'm fine with it.

BUT, staying slugged and having the timer deplete all the way because the killer hooked someone else and is not coming for me 20 seconds later isn't good either. You're now punishing me for taking a risk for using DS AND leaving me with nothing.

This effect is paused or minimized while slugged then :)

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Or, you know, you can go for different Survivors. Usually there are 4 of them.

You must’ve not read the part where I said when you hook other survivors.

  • It would really have to be worth it. All my characters are maxed out P3 Level 50 (every character has every perk) but it took me nearly 5000 hours to do so. I’m not sure I’d be willing to accept anything less than Legacy itself.

  • While I was being carried to a hook, a David tried to tank a hit for me when Haunted Grounds was active.

    Can i have your survivors?

the potato level seems extremely high with them.

Try winning 12 chases with clown on Asylum against any optimal red rank team. If you’re really a killer main you would already know the answer to your own question.

The grind is not 'fine', because you're not guaranteed to get value out of your grind. Again, I'm on my way to prestiging my Jane for the third time, spending around 5 million on her just for ONE perk - the reason that I am even able to use that amount of bloodpoints is because I have friends that play this and it keeps me in the loop of playing the game, otherwise i probably would've never even prestiged her.

Again, this is poor for a game of it's pricetag, and we're not in the past, we're in the present and people are STILL discouraged by the grind.

You chose to prestige 3 your Jane when you could’ve used those bloodpoints towards other teachables. I’m not saying what you did was wrong, but don’t come crying on the forums when you put 10,000,000 into prestige 2-3 for a character and complain that the grind is too much. You’re making the grind harder by putting more bloodpoints into just 1 character.

If you want to earn more bloodpoints, play more killer, because by the sound of it-it seems that you’re not looking on how to lessen the grind from the other side of playing field.

  • Instasaw Myers 🎶

  • The grind is fine they’ve done enough to accommodate it. If only you were here when we were rewarded less bloodpoints for offerings and only 2 perks showed up at level 50.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

Not sure if this is exclusive to PS4. I've been watching some PC streamers today playing killer, and they've been waiting for over 10 minutes to get a match. For example, Scorpionz got so sick of it he has switched to playing Hunt Showdown.

A lot of people got the “patch update required” which is about 13GB so it may take sometime for people to download and play it first thing in the morning.

The bugs for the hillbilly are still being worked on. They haven't been forgotten about, they just didn't make it into this hotfix.

Okay great cause playing him has been a bit more frustrating for many of us

  • Killers are getting stuck at pallets again

  • Yup, one guy even told us he’s happy it’s free on Xbox pass because he’s never playing it again.

In my experience, Billy's flick is still fine, but it's everything else that isn't. Constant buggy FOV changes and terrible animation bugs make him nauseating and downright unplayable for me.

You can’t curve anymore for some reason-so the flick is actually affected when curving too.

So If I put pictures of 3 of my games where we all died, what is that gonna prove? STOP BEING STUPID

Post whatever you want my point stands. I posted this as the skill cap is higher for survivor than it is for killer, that is the point of the post. Stop being stupid.

Nurse, Huntress & Deathslinger, all killer that are known to be hard on console due to the controls, people really do always use the worst examples of killers being weak and survivors being strong.

In conclusion, you decided to play a map that has single-handedly the most 'safe' loops that you can connect together and run the killer on for all gens if you're really capable or the killer is silly enough to engage in the chase for that long. Not only this, but his choice of killer also disadvantaged him on a map with plenty of turns, visual blockage and etc.

You also ignore that you were running up against a killer that was playing above his skill cap, which disadvantaged him further than it needed to.

and if you didn't ignore my post, then you'd see that it doesn't matter which map is the 'deadliest' or 'safest' because even the 'safest' map had a 4k kill rate of 53%, which is above 50%. Stop acting cocky, it's embarrassing seeing a rank 1 flex on the fact that they escaped against a rank 5 killer.

I stopped reading at: “the only map with safe loops”

Really shows how much experience you have in this game, considering I was a one shot down in the worst survivor map of all.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

I fail to see how your screenshots prove your point?

Match 1: BP is very balanced. 2 people escaped. 2 people died. Which is the definition of balance according to BHVR.

Match 2: All appropriately red ranks. 3 escaped. 1 died. Blood points remained fairly balanced. Seems fine.

Match 3: Killer quit. Looks like a newer nurse. Probably a daily and was tired of getting juked. It happens.

Survivor is not easy. Please stop speaking for everyone because you have had good matches with good teammates and are obviously an experienced player.

You don’t play enough survivor or haven’t been playing long enough to know that Hawkins has the highest kill rate of all maps, approximately +65%.

If you bothered to asses the screenshot, you’d know that I threw on the map offering for the sole purpose of the “challenge,” yet the killer failed to achieve that even though I was indeed a 1 shot down.

In conclusion, the killer actually underperformed even with the a map that holds the highest kill rate, along with a person who has 1 useful perk.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

I agree. They are second class gamers. Killers deserve priority here.

I think 2 survivors on a gen should slow it by 50%, 3 survivors by 75% and 4 survivors by 100%. In addition I also think gens should take 120 seconds base.

I’d like to see DS nerfed too. Hard to defend the gens when you need to take the 5 second stun before you can rush a survivor out of the game.

When I play the survivors often get down to 1 gen before I kill all 4. Hardly balanced is it? In about 70% of my games I only win with 1 gen remaining. Gens go way too fast.

Definitely an overhaul that would be unacceptable, might actually help survivor main queue times though, I’m sure they love 10+ minute queues for 6-8 minute games.

Sorry I meant 6-8:03 second games since the gen speed “nerf”

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/148561/devs-survivor-is-still-too-easy

I don’t know what you’re trying to prove - only one killer out of the three games you had was actually “skilled” to play against the survivor team.

in one game - it was pretty much a tie, one game the killer dc’d and one game, yeah, you got out - congrats?

Survivor isn’t easy if you actually play against someone who is meant to be playing with you instead of getting paired with purple ranks. Lol

If you cal 2 kills on Hawkins a draw then you must not have been around before the DLC release. Hawkins has the highest kill rate of all maps, pair that with a one hit down survivor and a couple of potato teammates and YES, that was absolutely balanced.

He can’t even avoid screenshotting games where he lost because he raged quitted lmao. Or games that are even in the same time period because there are two rank 5 killers and 1 rank 1 killer 😂 who knows when these games took place or if it’s even really the same guy.

look at my devotion level smart one, you’ll notice there’s 1 lvl difference. Nice try though survivor main.

  • @Zixology said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1246361#Comment_1246361

Exactly. Based on the screenshots, the game seems pretty balanced.

Expect your forgetting that Hawkins has the highest kill rate +65% than any other map. Tie this in with someone being a one-shot and it proves that the killer did NOT achieve the average kill rate even though one survivor was handicapped if you will.

  • @premiumRICE said:

Then you had pretty lucky matchmakin with 4 rank 1 vs 2 rank 5 and you basically got a first time nurse, a new killer which im not even sure if its any good and a huntress. Well, guess its pretty far from a serious matchup to prove your point.

Take note and screen a pool of 50 games and then we can see it again

When I post the 50 games you will still find a reason to complain though so where is your actually argument? How do you ignore the fact that survivors have a higher skill cap than killers?

  • @Karl_Childers said:

So 1 draw, in what appears to be balanced and good game for both sides, 1 survivor win where the killer still got 24K, and a DC game. Is this actually supposed to be a convincing argument? It’s not...at all. Sorry but this is just completely pointless., as you obviously wouldn’t have posted any screenshots where the killer won anyway.

I get the impression that you believe killers should 3-4K most games?

So basically 2 wins as survivor using the most useless builds, one which was against a meta slugging Nurse. Let’s just ignore that though.

Doesnt matter the way you look at it anyways, the survivor skill cap is WAY higher than the killer skill cap and I can prove it over and over again.

  • @premiumRICE said:

    >implying the balance was thought for 4 man swf.

Its not like you proved anything, since swf are and always will be op. Also imo the game itself is way better as soloq since the infos you have to know and your decision making should be on point unlike when you have the peepeepoopoo teammates telling whats happening or where the killer is.

Also you managed to 4 man escape only once vs rank 5 killer

All my games were solo, it absolutely proves that the survivor skill cap is higher than the killer skill cap.

Regarding your “4 man escaped only once” comment, imagine if I had run the traditional DH, BT, DS, Unbreakable Meta. The role of survivor is a joke.

  • What I don’t understand is how a patch that’s supposed to change maps specifically ends up bugging half the killer roster. Like how the heck does that even happen? They had two extra weeks to test this stuff

  • @youarewronglol said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1244079#Comment_1244079

it went from 10% to 15%. that is slower, that is a nerf.

So 2 survivors on a gen increased by 3 seconds, it’s not really a nerf, more like a small change.

  • @Shocktober said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1244074#Comment_1244074

She is still the best killer in the game. Her only counters are some corn maps, the treatment theatre, or playing terribly. Or maybe playing on console but that almost doesn't count does it?

Or dead zones, or 99% charged blinks, or pallet stun+blink fatigue together, etc.

But you couldn’t have missed this stuff unless you played Nurse post patch, which I’m sure you do, right?

  • @youarewronglol said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1243015#Comment_1243015

it is quite literally a nerf, it got worse for the sake of balance, but it is still a nerf

Calling it “worse” is implying that it was better to begin with. Survivor main much?

  • @Shocktober said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1244048#Comment_1244048

Yes, teleporting 5 times through walls to down people was very hard.

She now still one of the few killers who can equip all tracking perks, eat DS for breakfast as you relentlessly tunnel down people, and still be fine.

There is a reason she was the killer you saw 80%+ of the time at red ranks before her nerfs. It was obnoxious to only see one killer in the game. I am glad she got nerfed into the floor, even though she is still the killer with the most potential in the game.

I’m sorry I though OP asked if it was worth it learning Nurse now, not pre-patch Nurse. Forgive me, how can I have missed that.

  • Don’t master Nurse: you’ll be part of the 99% of people who “play both sides” or “main killer” but never bothered to learn the nurse.

Master Nurse: you’ll understand the game on a whole different level than most people.

*Note, this goes for all Killers you should learn to play as and against.

  • They haven’t responded to any of these post for some reason. I’m sensing a Billy nerf incoming that might’ve accidentally leaked into this patch. If so, they’re gonna have a fun time filling killer spots in high ranks.

  • They feel great to me. I’m actually overall happy with this patch because things are finally starting to feel more balanced. I know Killer is kind of unplayable at the moment because of some bugs, but I trust this will be fixed soon.

Overall, pretty good patch and thrilled things seem to be headed in the right direction.
