In EU where i live solo survivor q's during the times:
08:00am-14:00pm: 7-20 seconds.
17:00pm- 02:00am: 5-6 minutes
Killer q's: Almost instant everytime.
Killer queues are instant here in the US too, at least in West, no matter the time of day. Can’t say the same for survivor queue times.

dh is not op or need nerf. Stop crying
DH is not OP, it only allows players to extend chases where the survivor is at fault. Not OP though lol

Dead hards fine, after a survivor shows you they have it in the open just wait a second before swinging so they use it and then smack them down. If they use it to for distance to get to a pallet or window sometimes you can still get the hit because half the time they do it to near and mess it up. Doesn't make chase last any longer than sprint burst or lithe in my experience, if they use it properly and if it works and they don't end up exhausted on the floor.
I know how to play around DH this isn’t a post looking for advice on it. My concern is the ability to prolong the chase. In a game where the killer is on the clock and gens go flying, it’s kinda silly to get punished as a killer because a survivor just pressed a button, even though they just made a mistake.

How tho? Remove I frames it’s just as good. Reduce distance it’s trash
I think the best way to change DH is to keep it an exhaustion perk but to change how it activates. I would say make DH completely different just like they did with Tinkerer.
Make it an exhaustion perk but not one that extends the chase by 2-3 minutes just by pressing a button.

Out of interest how can you differentiate someone who is on a VPN from someone who just has a bad internet connection?
The first sign is usually their Steam name doesn’t have characters that fit English.
The second is by checking their profile like everyone else does.
-
Have you tried using Whisperes, Corrupt Intervention, Discordance, or Ruin?
Also, I do not recommend using the Shroud add-on for killers. This will almost certainly ensure 2-3 gens get completed by the time the first chase, Hook, and other survivor found.
-
I saw something on this website that may or may not give information about things related to the game and it’s content. However, I do not know the certainty of this but I can’t tell you that an excellent track record does exist with said website.

ive seen 2 since the nerf. Kinda sad.

The Switch is a cash grab. I would upgrade to something more suitable if you want a bette experience, hell, even console is terribly optimized with a “optimization coming December 2019”

No

All the add-ons since the Nurse and Freddy rework are practically trash. Most of the so called “iridescent” add-ons have too many limitations to make them even worth using.

Grabs -> Latency
Dead Hard -> From what I've read it still handles like it was meant for P2P. Redoing the implementation of that perk is easier than making sure you have a solid connection to a server.
I've had games where I get bullshit grabs. It's all about the connection. Bringing up dead hard when it's not even close is distracting.
I did say I think didn’t I? Also, I was using DH as an example, don’t take it so personally.
-
I think grabs are similar to the way Dead Hard works, in the way that they require ‘precision’ in sync with the servers.
Guess which one is getting fixed though?
-
It’s 2021 and FOV is still a perk. Shadowborn needs to be built in now or give you a toggle cooldown to 3rd person view.
-
You have to understand, people aren’t upset that Mori’s got nerfed. People are upset that they didn’t wait to nerf Mori’s alongside with keys.
Instead of finding a proper solution for keys, they released the Mori nerf and left keys untouched. This has led to a rampant use of keys in lobbies (higher than I’ve ever seen before).

Is that when it’s coming out? That’s horrifying. I took a break from DBD the last time because it was so bad
My mistake, I just re-read the patch notes. It looks like it won’t be out by mid-chapter patch.

Well, I guess everyone understands something else under the term M1 killer.
Personally I think the term M1 killer refers to "typical" killers that have to run after a survivor until they can go for the ordinary M1 attack exceptions being Nurse/Spirit due to their mobility powers.
Since Deathslinger shoots instead I consider him a M2 killer.
Dude Deathslinger is an M1 killer, there’s a reason he’s the number 1 choice for STBFL.
-
Nice. I don’t usually show mercy as the survivors I am paired against are mostly a 4 man SWF.
I will say though, come MMR you may want to rethink some kindness you are showing.
-
Other companies don’t put most of their resources into their art team.
-
Just switch to survivor, it’s always more fun playing the power role anyways.
One more thing, make sure you think twice when reaching for your wallet.

It's a way to feign a positive reward towards killers when in reality there is nothing positive. Oh goodie they all escaped but I got 8 hooks so I did good!
This is exactly right
-
Also OP you’re 100% right on that. I just wish people knew more about business. There’s a reason they nerfed Undying so quickly and have yet to nerf DS.
Survivor mains are cash cows, they can easily leave DBD and play other games. Retaining players is the hardest part of any gaming business. The devs are so scared to lose players (financially) that when it comes to the spending of 4 people (survivors) and 1 player (killer), who do you think is going to take priority?
It’s just become a matter of their bottom line and BHVR and shown this ever since the Battle Pass came out.

Btw this was from almo and I quote “I cannot comment on anything that has yet to be announced. We decide as a team what's to be made public, and there has been no public announcement regarding DS.”
This means that it has not been announced yet but they did mention in a stream that DS is getting changed to remove the abusable side of it.
What streams was this? The last stream I saw was McLean saying that they wish they could do something about the abusive part of DS and he left it at that.

I get games in about 3 minutes by the night as survivor. After midnight the queues get longer... but it's very late, so that's probably why. Also, maybe it's a region thing the super long queues...
But if MMR is right, the best killers will take the best survivors. I see quite often my friends that are rank 1 killer getting unexperienced survivors and then those rank 10 killers get the red ranks. I'm not gonna put too much faith in this, but it should reverse it.
3 minutes that’s it? Where are you from? I’m in California and queue times are 10 minutes. Also, the streamers I watch around the country wait a MINIMUM of 5 minutes. Are you sure you only wait 3 minutes?
-
Don’t worry it’s coming in 2030
-
Also, there are more red rank survivors than ever before. Most of these survivors have gotten there purely by playtime, you can tell by the way they hold M1, and can’t compete in chases at all, and typically their load out (some still use Premonition).
Saying that the kill rate is higher than ever before is a flaw in itself. If more potatoes make it to the kitchen, more potatoes are gonna get cooked.

Bait
-
Yeah haven’t you heard, they want to get all the breakable walls on Haddonfield perfect first.
That way when you spend your time breaking all the infinites around houses and fences, you’ll only lose 2-3 gens at the least.

@Pipefish said:
So I am playing survivor with some friends at night and it takes forever for us to find a match.
It couldn't be because Pop got nerfed to 40 seconds. It couldn't be the massive nerf of Undying. It couldn't be the removal of the Mori. It couldn't be survivors using keys and decisive strike/unbreakable.
In all seriousness this game lacks killer players. Rather than try to get new killer players in they instead scare old players away. I hope they will shift to some killer sided updates soon but this games history says otherwise.
Side Note: I agree that in the higher levels of play this game is clearly killer sided. I am referring more to the casual level killer who doesn't have time to grind the 1000's of hours necessary to "get good"
Devs refuse to acknowledge this though, but since survivors may stop spending money on the game l, their solution is to bring in MMR. Which will basically help them mask the lack of killers.

I'm Central time zone and a killer main and tend to play at night. I tend to get into matches quickly but OH MY GOODNESS I get put against high level players more often than not. I'm lvl 12 killer, been playing for a couple of weeks now but I just can't handle so many reds at one time. Yikes! Hopefully the matchmaking updates the devs have talked about help me out in that regard.
That’s cause no one plays killer more than a few hours a day. Way too stressful.
Unfortunately for you, survivors want to play around the clock, and since high rank survivors have been waiting in a queue for too long, the matchmaking will expand to include players (like you) who are not prepared to play against these type of survivors.

Not sure about fully healed, it would be too easy as a Killer to just proxy camp the area, wait for the heal, and then tunnel.
You’re better off eating the DS than proxy camping waiting for a full heal.
-
It should completely deactivate when you are fully healed or have repaired ‘x’ amount of a generator.

i lived in the dark times, I play this game since 1.0.0
Ah, then you’re well aware. If you think about it you’ve answered your own question. You have played since 1.0.0, you haven’t stopped, why should the devs listen to you then?
For me personally, I’ve switched more to survivor. I have over 5K hours in this game and was about 55% killer 45% survivor but have been playing survivor a lot more since the Ruin change. Wayyyy less stressful, plus the devs listen to you.

@Almo please, change your opinion about Object of Obsession. This perk might be fun for Survivors, but it ruins experience for players on the other side, If you play a Killer with small terror radius, this perk makes you feel naked and helpless.
But haven’t you heard? The statistics say OoO isn’t that bad.
On a serious note, there’s a reason Mathieu is in charge. He asked Almo a very HR question when it came to OoO, “but is it fun to play against” to which Almo could not properly answer.
-
Because killer players don’t stop playing the game and try other things.
Survivor players are less likely to spend money on the game and quickly move onto others. It’s the reason Undying was nerfed.
Legitimate concerns though, they just fall on deaf ears, look up DBD the Dark Times on YouTube if you haven’t already. Might help make things click.
-
It’s not. It’s presence is there to constantly make you feel like you haven’t hooked the survivors 12 times total or 3 times each.
Its not meant to be there to help you.

No. Most people don’t get hit with DS I believe, but if you think that’s what the issue is, it is not.
The issue is the potential that DS has outweighs the risk that a killer can take.
Therefore, the presence of it alone causes just as much, if not more issue than the snowball affect that can occur. Which is also dependent on the killer being used (killers than can almost ignore it, Nurse and Spirit) and the experience of the survivor carrying DS.

Survivor Que times on PC before crossplay was nearly instant, it's crossplay that causes long survivor que times, not a lack of killers.
False. Queue times have been almost the exact same since crossplay. It’s true that there are more people who play survivor with crossplay, however, the trend for instant queues in the morning was still about 60 seconds for survivor.
Now, I’m still waiting in a queue while reading and responding to your post (about 5 minutes as of now).
Killer queue times were about 2-5 minutes in the daytime, queue up for killer now you’ll find a lobby instantly.
-
Yeah im playing survivor in the day time now and even my queues (in red ranks) are at 2 minutes. They used to be instant.
Meanwhile, my killer queues are instant around the clock.
MMR will soon mask all this though.
-
Sure if you call completely counterable perks that can be lost in less than 30 seconds unskillful, then sure.

Your post will now be moved to the “Feedback and Suggestions” category

Kills and escapes do not tell the whole story. Balancing around a 2K/2E is a terrible idea in the long run.

Ranks are useless. It really should just be MMR.
And it doesn't matter if MMR is hidden or not. The fact of the matter is if you're in a game with a potato, it means your skill levels were roughly the same. So that means you're also a potato.
Hopefully this teaches survivors to stop looking down on their teammates.
Yeah that’s assuming MMR is working at all

How do u check time played in game on Xbox?
You click on the persons profile (before or after a game) -> scroll down to “see full profile” -> scroll over to the “gaming” tab -> look for DBD in their games played, click on it -> you can now see total time played, along with kills, escapes, etc.

never more than 2 mins for me with crossplay turned on.
As of morning time, yes. Have you noticed though, that killer queues were between 1-3 minutes in the morning, but now, killer queue times have been instant around the clock. Yet, survivor queue times remain the same in the day, and increase exponentially as the hour passes by.
