  • Maybe if the console players had a better argument as to why the PC release should have been HELD BACK other than, "Waaaaah! Not fair!"....
How about the Auric Cell price conversion debacle? The bundling bug (where Survivors would load in, and be unable to move), the disconnect issues? It should have been held back and given another PTB.

What's hilarious is if console players got the update and pc players had to wait this long they would be just as angry as we are.

It’s already happened. Xbox got pig A SINGLE DAY EARLY. PS4 was dissapointed, and PC threw the biggest most pathetic temper tantrum in all of history. Just a single day of delay and they were more immature and pissed off than console RIGHT NOW.

Truth right here. PC players lost thier god damn minds about it. I don’t mind waiting, (PS4 player here), but I hate hypocrites.

Truth is, camping and tunneling happen mostly because Killers are insecure. With the balance of the game the way it is, it’s really no surprise. It’s not fun for the Killer either.

Many Killers just give up. Just facing a Looper with the meta perks is enough to make you feel powerless. Never mind facing more than one. If the whole team is Loopers? Screw it. Take what you can get. Besides, Camping has a built in counter. The only real counter to Looping? Nurse.

There is no counter SWF using discord or whatever for the advantage of info relay. No real counter to Gen Rush. You can only chase one person while everyone else rushes the gens. Not the Survivors fault for Gen Rush, that’s what they are supposed to do. It on the developers to do something about the gens being too quick and easy to repair.

The game mechanics are so favorable to the Survivors that even mediocre Survivors have a chance against the best Killers. Replace those mediocre Survivors with highly skilled Survivors? It’s a blow out game. The developers have balanced the game for sub-par play on the Survivors part to equal a 2 death / 2 live match. If the Survivors don’t play sub-par, you will lose as Killer. 1k is best you can shoot for most of the time.

If camping and tunneling is to be reduced, the developers need to change the balance of the game so that Killers aren’t being made to fight a bunch of game mechanics that are rigged against them. Right now it’s all on the Survivors to make a bunch of mistakes with these mechanics in play. If they don’t screw up using these mechanics, the Killer is nigh on helpless.

Speak for yourself. Do not speak for me.

I camp because i want to.
I camp because after two flahslight saves i want that flashlight gone.
I camp as a response to tbagging. Then i nod my head while revving the chainsaw. How did that tbag work out?
    I camp to kill.
I camp cos survs will come. And they always do. No matter what rank. They think i am some baby killer.
I camp cos its my first hook and 4 gens are done. Think i am goign to walk away at that point?
I camp cos of previous experience with a player that i want gone.
I camp cos i know it pisses the survs off. Yes, it really gets under their skin. Great counter to tbagging.
    I camp because its fun.

I tunnel cos that is the most efficient way of getting that hook. Survs cant understand this. They are incapable of thinking.

Hence why I said “mostly” not “the only reason”. I’m aware Killers like you exist, that like to camp. For whatever their reasons. Though most don’t. That’s all.
  • I think it's way too late to fix anything. The problem is obvious - survivors can loop the killer around for too long, and good survivors are hitting great skillchecks almost constantly so they repair the generators really fast too. You could make killers more deadly in a chase, but that just makes them destroy low rank players, and just makes the strong killers even stronger and the weak killers acceptable at high ranks.

If they hadn't gone out of their way to dis-incentivize stealth with the addition of the Doctor, Freddy and various anti-stealth perks then it would be feasible to make the survivors less able to loop killers around for days. But that grave has been dug.

Well said. They took the whole damn game in the wrong direction because Survivors just refused to do anything other than “waste time” tactics. Started with infinite’s devolved into Looping after Patch 1.4.0. The refused to get good at hiding and jukes. Developers catered to the wrong side’s wants, now the game is a mess. They have to re-work the whole damn game from the ground up because of Looping.
  • If it’s the same bozo they probably just have a warning attached to you account that ignores you are responding to that particular person, it warns you. Either that or certain words are flagged on you
  • Vigil was always useless doe.

I’ve had people use Vigil with Balanced Landing at Coal Tower to make that Loop god damn MASSIVE. I’ve had Survivors use it with Lithe to make Lery’s a god damn nightmare to deal with. Vigil is not useless. To those who know massive loops and have Balanced Landing or Lithe, it’s a game changer if they Loop like a pro.
  • This change won’t do anything to help the break the Survivor meta. SB will stil be too strong, and this will definitely make Vigil nearly useless to have. It’s a nerf, but a ######### one they shouldn’t do. This nerf is pointless. It doesn’t help the issue of Sprint Burst being a freebie for getting caught out in the open with your pants down to get to Loops. It also is a a nerf to Lithe and Balanced Landing, which need no nerfs at all and are fine.

The nerf Sprint Burst needs is that you have to be running already for 2-3 seconds BEFORE it activates. This no longer lets it be a “freebie”. That’s all.
  • McMyrvoll said:

Yeah i agree that any more than 3 is kinda broken..

I know she has about the same lunge as others, but combined with the fact that she can blink instantly right next to you is in my mind a little too strong. For new nurse players I can see that they might struggle a bit with the blinking and lunging but a good nurse, well I don't really have to explain it.

IMO I thinks nurse could use a little nerf but on the other hand since many other killers have gotten some nice buffs now we might see less nurses.
Don't get me wrong tho, I enjoy playing against nurses every now and then, but I'm getting a little tired of mostly seeing nurses in high rank. Interesting killer to play against since you have to use a completely different playstyle, but it gets kinda tedious after a while.

I completely agree. It would get boring facing the same Killers over and over. Problem is viability. Other Killers are so badly under par compared to her, you’re just gimping yourself if you don’t pick her. It’s not a little gimp either, it’s massive. The Clown is the first real Killer to put up a fight against Loopers. Hag and Trapper has soft counters, but it’s so RNG based if they run to a Loop that you’ve trapped, and your traps haven’t been disarmed already. Not to mention the set up time, just using your power as Hag or Trapper is counter productive.

Blinking right next to someone requires very precise timing and predictions of your oppents movements. I play on PS4, so this is even more important than PC as FPS and lag REALLY makes this even more difficult. You drop FPS out of the already low 30 FPS on every blink. Then you have controller limitations.

Nurse is a trade off. Her Skill Floor is much higher, in exchange for her Skill Ceiling being also much higher. Her add ons do need tweaks, but that’s really that’s it.

High Rank Nurses have earned thier place imo. Most don’t use add ons anyway. If Looping wasn’t so powerful, you’d see much more variety in Killers. The problem is how to make Killers viable against Looping without pulling Nurse like mechanics into the foray. Looping was an accident, they have to somehow rebalance the whole game for its inclusion. Which they are doing. I don’t mind getting Looped, as long as the game is balanced for it. I love chases, I just don’t want to lose because I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing, finding and chasing Survivors.
  • To everyone saying the Nurse counters pallets and that alone makes her superior:

If you're so impeded by pallets and windows that you need to play a Killer specifically designed to counter them, you need to work on your Killer game.

She forces mind games at Pallets and windows instead of the normal straight-forward “I drop Pallet, I vault window, I’m safe”. Fake the window vault. Run past the Pallet, double back, drop, slide if needed. Use corners of buildings, Jungle Gym’s, Rocks, Trees, to force her to make a blind guess where you are, and where you are going to be. In all scenario’s : “She guesses wrong, you win. She guesses right, you lose. You guess what she’s doing right, you win. You guess what she’s doing wrong, she wins.” It’s a mind game of predicting each other’s next move.

You do realize the whole point of Pallets and Windows is to impede Killers, right? Nurse’s whole trade off with Pallets not impeding her as much is she has to predict the Survivors next course of action, before they even make it. If other Killers weren’t “so impeded by Pallets” then there would be absolutely no reason to play Nurse in the first place. You’d just be making it hard on yourself for no reason.

If you aren’t being impeded by Pallets or Windows as other Killers, then obviously you’re facing some very crap Survivors who don’t know how to use them.
  • Well, as a Nurse Main I can tell you 3 Blinks should be her max.

First though, she has the same Lunge as most Killers if not shorter. Lunge is based off your current movement speed, which Nurse has lower movement speed than other Killers except Huntress and Hag. Her lunge is not longer than any other Killer. Same length or shorter only.

Second, your supposed to go down in less than 30 seconds if you can not lose a Killer. M.Cote literally said chases should last at MOST 30-45 seconds. Not minimum of 30-45 seconds if you are found. Looping was was never an intended game mechanic, it was an accident brought on when the developers changed Survivors hit boxes back in Patch 1.4.0. The game was never designed for every chase to last a minimum of 30 seconds, Gens being quick and easy to repair at 80 seconds each does not allow for such long chases at every Pallet. IE : Looping.

So, I half agree, half disagree.
  • Mostly because one side is mad they lost to the other.

The nature of the beast with this game. Most competitive games you can pick all types of characters and such, but it doesn’t exclusively have a “side”. DBD is different, you have Killers and you have Survivors. Those who don’t play both and only play one side, are constantly trying to reem the other side so they get more power.

Im under no delusion I’m not in favor of Killers, but I’m not blind to the struggle of Survivors. I see thier side, however many on thier side see this as nothing more than a bully simulation. Where they try to be like thier DBD idols OchiDO and Noob3. Where they want to be overpowered as hell so they can gang up on Killers and bully them and have a laugh overpowered the supposed “power role” Killer.

Take it for what you will. People will always justify thier anger as valid when they’ve reached thier breaking point.
  • I like your outside the box thinking, but this wouldn’t be an issue for SWF. They’ve already proven that by making Knockout pointless. The only SWF groups this would have an effect on are newbies.
  • Salty Survivor that doesn’t know how to hide or juke mid chase, and just Loops all game because he sucks.

    Congratulations.

Playing with 100 sensitivity is also a good way to land the hit. The only problem with this high sensitivity for me is the cost of Blink precision.

unfun for both sides imo. I'd rather play freddy than play the nurse. Not because i can't play her, i can do decently as her it just sucks to play her because i hate her fatigue animation and i just dislike the ability to bypass all survivor utility. From a survivor perspective i just find playing against a good nurse, insanely difficult and it is stressful(ironic, a survivor complaining about their job being stressful xD). I don't fear her I just find her annoying, Myers is the only killer i get scared by and that is on rare occasions. Whenever i hear blinks i just try to be a gen [BAD WORD] and get the [BAD WORD] out of there, it is the only thing i can do for some nurses.

I wouldn’t call it bypassing. Many consider it bypassing but the thing is, she doesn’t. She changes them into mind games. You have to predict what she’s going to do, just as she has to predict what you’re going to do. Problem is that most Survivors are so used to using Pallets and windows in the most straightforward way, they don’t know how to use them any other way. You don’t just “hop window, drop Pallet, I’m safe” fake window vault. Run past the Pallet, immediately double back, drop, slide if needed.
  • I always liked her. I watched Tru3Ta1ent’s streams for For Honor first, but then saw him play DBD and out of all Killers, I saw Nurse, and wanted to play her the most. I found her so interesting. I love punishing games, and nothing is more punishing than missing your Blinks. However, hitting your Blinks is unbelievably rewarding.

She is the only Killer I can play, and not feel cheated playing as. If I lose, it was my own fault and inadequacy at Blinks. All other Killers, I feel cheated by Looping. Losing simply because my hit box is bigger is horrifically infuriating. Getting outplayed is fine, getting hit box cheesed is not.

Likewise, I don’t Loop Killers when I play Survivor. Looping takes the thrill and the fun out of the game because it’s so ultra safe to do. I like facing a Nurse. However, I play on PS4, so a good Nurse is hard to come by. I only ever face daily ritual Nurses that have zero idea how to blink. I call them “Floaters” because all they do is hit you, then float behind you building Bloodlust. Then plop you on a hook and pitch a tent. Which as a Nurse Main myself, REALLY irritates me... all that power and ability at your finger tips if you just learn to use her... and you just do that.

I find her fun, challenging, and rewarding to play as and (if she’s good) against her.
  • I know who you are talking about. But he is always hiding his name in his video's. Let's face it... the current report and anti cheat system is ****. The devs are going to lose so much money because of their ignorance.
It just sucks that I go to watch funny dbd clips and that pops up then people are asking for cheats for ps4 and Xbox..like really why you gotta cheat t this game?

Most because cant have fun if they lose. It’s starting to get bad on PS4. Ran into a 4 man SWF of hackers yesterday.

At first I thought I was just missing my Blinks... I recorded the match via the share feature and re-watched it. They were literally invulnerable to taking a hit. It became blatant when I swung at a Claudette that tucked herself into a corner while uninjured. I just swung and didn’t blink, it went through her and no damage. He then ran to his team, and all 4 started Tea Bagging me by a Gen.
  • I’ve just set about re-mastering Nurse while I wait. Didn’t play her after they changed her, cause I didn’t want to go through that rough learning process all over again.

Im a patient man though *shrugs*.
  • Nos37 said:

The Nurse changes are brutal on console. Unless I blink inside the survivor's player model I cannot get a hit with her garbage lunge.

It takes a lot of practice is all. Granted “Blink Dead Zones” are all over the place (Screw you Haddonfield, Lery’s, Badham School) she takes a crap ton of practice. Her lunge seems fine to me, think you might just not be holding R2 long enough (Sorry, I’m assuming you play on PS4 like I do.)

i’ll upload and make a large playlist of my Nurse games on my YouTube and post it here for you if you’d like. I also Stream occasionally. My trick is I use the pocket watch add on and matchbook add on to make my chain blink window as large as possible, that way I have more time to accurately get a read on the Survivors next movement and predict thier movement.

Small Edit : Here’s one video I uploaded.

I think 45 would be fine, the final number could obviously be tweaked to fit whatever target testing shows to be the most balanced.

The point is, looking for the last survivor isn't fun for the killer, and having no hope of escape isn't fun for the survivor.

I actually do like looking for the last guy. I like hide and seek more than tag, sorry lol.

Truth is, this whole debate is about entitlement on both sides. Both did work, both were the best at what they do.

It's just that to me, the Killer is a little more deserving is all. He/She doesn’t have the option to just be “the best of the worst”, he/she doesn’t have team mates, he/she doesn’t have a bunch of game mechanics stacked in his/her favor already from match start. Then there is the issue of SWF on comms already tossing the Survivors another freebie advantage.
  • The Loopers who tea bag the Killer and Loop them all game. They keep the Killer busy all game and do nothing but taunt and troll them. I get stuck play Gen repair simulator for the whole match.
  • kimukipi said:

All three are balanced IMO. In fact, they are how even other killers should be i.e. terrifying. However I do think 3, 4 blink nurse is not balanced and extremely OP. Anything beyond the 2 blinks shouldn't be possible or at least have severe side effects to compensate that. Problem is you can't juke a 3, 4 blink nurse and even new nurses can play well with 2+ blinks since you have 2 blinks for correction. This is coming from a nurse main btw. The other nurse add-ons are fine but the 2+ blinks just need to go.

From one Nurse Main to another, well said.

Only one point I’d argue is 3 Blinks *might* be alright since the introduction of Dead Hard. Dead Hard counters 2 Blink Nurse to the Extreme. You can’t really bait Dead Hard as a 2 Blink Nurse.
  • Truthfully I would find it a bit annoying if it was just a base mechanic. Explosions every time one of my hex’s get touched get annoying when I’m trying to listen for Survivors moaning in pain or breathing. Plus, it’s kind of a dead perk slot. 9/10 times you’re too far away anyway and it’s only useful on high mobility Killers like Billy or Nurse.

Thats just my personal opinion though.
  • I like those ideas. I think many want the original Freddy Krueger, not the new remake one. I know Leatherface has a couple of different options, too
Unfortunately you’ll never see the original Freddy. Robert Englund has explicitly stated he does not want his likeness to be used in video games ever.
  • Yes, unfortunately the Red Stain does go through walls right now. I’m not sure if this is intended or a bug. It should be changed/fixed though. This removes so many mind game potentials at Loops with high walls. It’s why I scoffed when the developers said they were going to make objects around Loops taller, the Red Stain negates a lot of the potential of mind games. The best you can do is moon walk, and walk backwards to try to make it look like you’re going forward. Turn away from the Survivors position.

To me, the Red Stain is kind of an outdated mechanic anyway.
  • I would like to see Dragging a Survivor by the shirt collar behind them as an alternate to picking them up and carrying them. Then they just swing thier arm forward and toss them in the air onto the hook. Nothing special about how it works, just a different animation of transporting them. It can be toggled in the main menu if you want to drag or carry Survivors.

I’m sorry but this is simply a learn to play issue. You have so few hours that you’re bad at the game still which is why you have this opinion. The game is heavily survivor sided and this is coming from someone with 1700 hours. You just didn’t play the game long enough to learn.
This right here. Though, at least the developers are working on it. It just needs a little more work on the Loops. Some are just still too long. Ever since I went back to Nurse, I never feel cheated out of a game. If I lose it’s totally my fault.

  • I dunno. Seems odd to me as well. I only watch Tru3Ta1ent myself. He’s not the best, but I enjoy his content, even with his flaws.

I want to Stream myself as a PS4 player. All twitch Streamers are on PC, and I understand why. Just think it would be nice to have a PS4 player Streamer around so console players aren’t sitting there going “Yeah, but that only works on PC...” Really been trying hard to master Nurse on PS4 as she’s the last Killer I’ve yet to get super good with. I’m Decent at the least. I have a lot of messages from Survivors saying I should, but I don’t think I’m good enough yet.
  • Level 0 because I’m on PS4.
It’s like Christmas, but your parents tell you that you have to wait 2 week after Christmas Day to open your presents. #feelsbadman
  • Truthfully, they just need certain map restrictions for certain Killers. Billy and Nurse can’t get Lery’s. Doctor can’t get The Game as his TR covers the whole map easy.

Some maps are just too too one sided for Killers and too one sided for Survivors if it’s a certain Killer.

I think it’d fit final girl trope the devs were going for as well. How about, you have to last 30 or 45 seconds, then the hatch and it’s aura open and appears? So basically the hatch was never open until you live for almost a minute

Hmmm... only thing I’d have to say on this is what of Nurse. All the Loopable Killers I suppose this works fine, however Nurse breaks Looping. Permanent wall hacks would be too powerful on her.

Better idea would be that the Killer gets a free 15 seconds of aura reading. Then it stops. As a Survivor, you should already have lost a Killer in that time span. Not to mention, we don’t want to encourage Looping anymore than it already is.

    1) The devs want it to shift to simulate the final girl trope. They themselves said the balance should shift. 2) I know I was, it was for hypocrisy’s sake. Let’s scratch this number from the reply chain. 3) 2) The killer CAN find you before you get the hatch, Ive done it tons of times. It’s not as easy as it seems as well. Also, devs (I’m basically using their word like the Bible now aren’t I? Yeah I know it’s annoying) said that if one person goes the selfish route, and makes the UNIFIED goal harder, the SOLO goal should be easier. 3) Was referring to killer interactions, not all. Simple misunderstanding 4) If the hatch is the necessary escape, chances are you didn’t make much pip progress. Also, killer has already won, you can just, if you evade the killer, make it out alive and salvage the game.

    1. I would like to know where the developers said they want the balance to shift from 4v1 to 1v1.

    2. The unified goal has always been escape. Why is it that screwing your team mates makes the unified goal of escape easier as well? I’d like to know where the developers stated that the unified goal and solo goal should be the same difficulty regardless of how many Survivors die? That makes no sense. It should increase in difficulty with each death. That’s he whole point of the game.

(Not sure if we should continue number 3)

    4. You shouldn’t be able to salvage a game if you didn’t play well, either as a team or solo. You shouldn’t be rewarded for failure.

  • Jack11803 said:

Also, because apparently trophies matter to you, I have PlayStation platinum

Ok, cool. I’ll take you seriously and debate with you then.
  • @Jack11803

    1. RNG will favor the Killer AFTER he/she Kills 3 people. Only because the balance set forth for 1v4 at the initial start of the match. You want the games balance to suddenly shift from a 1v4, to a 1v1 out of pity for for no other reason than you feel entitled to it.

    2. Exactly what you are doing, because you’re afraid your easy out for YOU and YOUR TEAM performing poorly.

    3. Viable, yes, if you over preform well enough to pick up the slack of your team mates, and (for lack of a better term) “Carry Them”. You should only say screw the team mates when the risk outweighs the benefits, not as an “end all be all” tactic with little, to no repercussions.

    4. It’s not always bad thing, however purely not interacting? Why are you even bothering to play the damn game at all if you’re just here to score an easy out? Don’t care for a challenge do you? Just want to coast through? Maybe you should play a single player game on easy mode or something then...

    5. No, I do not. The developers get the say so on that. However what you want is the developers to say “Yeah... he did well so he gets ice cream with his cake. Why? Cause we said so.” The have to be impartial, just as the hatch mechanic in itself must be impartial.
  • @shadowsfall42

Yet RNG is all over the place for the Killer. Pallets Spawns, Totem Spawns, Windows blocked off or not for HUGE loops, you name it. You want to ######### about RNG not favorable to the Survivor in this case, but what about all the RNG that screws the Killer? What about ENTIRE maps that cuck Killers, like Lery’s for a Nurse? Nah, forget about that. RNG should only screw Killers, never the Survivor right?

All you have been doing this this whole time is whining you don’t have second chances on top of your second chances over and over if closing the hatch comes into play.

You also, like so many damn Survivors only consider Survival as winning. If you really did play well, you pip. Survival is, and should always be, a team effort. Not a lone wolf thing. Why do you think Survivors ######### and moan all the time about team mates not helping? Why would they when there isn’t really any incentive to do so? Seriously, you pip’ed, you already won. What you want is ice cream with your cake. You can’t be happy with just the cake, gotta have more cause you’re greedy.

The Killer played well and did thier damn job and beat the team. You played well and were last alive. However did you even have to DO ANYTHING to be last alive? No, you didn’t. You could just bum out and let everyone else get chased, do gens while they keep the Killer busy, do hook saves when you know it’s safe. You don’t even have to have ANY interaction at all with anything. Just be the best of the worst. Good job. You get a free pass just because other people sucked more than you. Congratulations. How’s that pity ice cream taste?

Again, nothing more than a whiner who wants RNG to favor one side, and ONLY one side.

Oh, and I had some spare time on my hands so I got curious and checked PSN. Hello fellow PS4 player. I wonder what a “90% Killer player’s” trophies look like... hmmm... well that’s odd.

92 Total Trophies available to achieve.
You have 13 Killer Specific Trophies... and 28 Survivor specific trophies. You don’t even have 500 Kills trophy “Feast for the Entity” ... Yet you have 500 Skillchecks preformed as Survivor, 100 heals, 100 Full Repair of Gens.

Yeah, “90% Killer Player” my ass. Might want to hide your trophies before you lie out your ass that you’re not a Bias Survivor Main player mate.

It’s a rare bug called “Bundling”. Basically your character gets clipped into a tree, wall, the ground, etc. The game registers your hit box collision with the offending object(s), and says your hitting it and will disallow movement in any direction. Not a hack, just a rare and unfortunate bug. I’ve come across it a couple times. I find them stuck as Killer, down them, carry them a bit, drop them, and walk away. It’s the only way you’ll get out of being “Bundled” is if the Killer downs you, and takes you away from the spot.

Just have to hope they might be nice like me, and give you a free pass and not hook/kill you for free. ;)
  • @shadowsfall42

Fair and Balanced for a 1v1, but not a 4v1. Again, just another player that wants the balance of the game to shift on the fly when everything goes to #########. You already have you chance when finding the hatch first. Your little movement speed argument is nothing more than a complaint about the 4v1 balance.

It’s like all those whiners in For Honor that whine and complain that Assassins move quicker than them, and use hit and run tactics vs. your Tank hero like Conquerer or Lawbringer.

Your argument is nothing more than a complaint the game mechanics aren’t in your favor. Tell me, how is Looping in the Killers favor? How is body blocking the hook prompt in he Killers favor? How is animation lock to be blinded by a flashlight in the Killers favor?

You want nothing more than EVEN MORE game mechanics to be favorable to you. As if you don’t have enough already.

So where did the developers say that the hatch should be a totally one sided mechanic that completely favors the Survivor left alive from the moment it spawns? You want to screw the team for the hatch, you should be making a rather large gamble. As much as this game is a solo experience, it’s also a team experience.

All you’re doing is complaining that the game should be balanced for a 4v1 team experience, until it’s no longer an advantage for it to be a 4v1 team experience, then you want the game to suddenly shift to a 1v1 balanced experience when it suits you.

IE : Instead of the game going from Normal difficultly to hard mode when you and your team mates screw up, or screw each other, you want it to stay at normal difficulty, if not go to Easy Mode on the fly because “mah entitlement”.

You don’t get to do that. You don’t get to change the difficulty to suit yourself when it benefits you in a PvP title. The developers don’t get to pick and choose favorites. The hatch needs to be impartial until either the Killer or the Survivor finds it first. Then it favors whoever finds it first. Equal Opportunity RNG.
  • You are wrong simply because you think hatch is a free escape. It's not. Survivors did at least 2 gens. And only 1 gets to take the hatch unless they have a key. It's not free.

If the hatch spawned near me then the end result would still be the same: I escape. Keep in mind despite the location of the hatch spawn, I still came out the winner in that situation. But if they could close the hatch WITHOUT RISK then I would have definitely lost because of RNG. But as a killer if the RNG favors the survivor you STILL have 3 kills. Also you forget that she knew where the hatch was, and killed the third guy only because of it. Had the hatch spawned elsewhere she probably would have let the guy bleed out more. My point was that RNG can go both ways and you can't balance one side exclusively for it.

You also can't seriously think that she DESERVES to kill me do you? I did 2 full gens by myself, plus I worked on another. I had 3 or 4 saves. She NEVER CAUGHT ME ONCE all game, the hatch standoff was the longest she had her eyes on me the entire game. In no way should she just get a free kill on me by closing the hatch. She camped the basement all game. Why should she get the kill? Tell me, please I'd like to know. What right does she have to kill me when I'm clearly better at the game.

She still Killed three. It doesn’t matter how she played the match. She still did well by Killing three. Regardless of how she did it, she did it. Why is it that one person on the team is rewarded for the failure of the team? You included on that team. How would you feel if the Killer did poorly and three others escaped before you, but the last person gets locked into the trial and can’t leave unless they find the hatch first? If they find it after the Killer, they lose automatically.

The hatch is already a mercy mechanic. As a Killer I already beat the team. I already found the hatch before you did. Exactly how many hoops do I have to jump through, how well do I have to play, what do I have to do to earn that last Kill? Speaking of, what about that Survivor who literally does nothing all game and doesn’t help. Just hides out and let’s everyone else do all the work and grabs the hatch?

I’ll say again, how many hoops do I as the the Killer, have to jump through to be granted the power of choosing to grant Mercy or not?

Your RNG argument is invalid because the moment the hatch opens it equal opportunity to whoever finds it first. It only becomes one sided to whomever finds it first. Even then, doing a Gen to reopen it or power the gates is still an option. You want the hatch to be one sided from the get go in favor of the Survivors, punishing a Killer for actually playing well and Killing three. Don’t bother with the bullshit excuses of campers/tunnelers/bad teammates. The Killer did their job, like it or not.

What you want is a bullshit game mechanic that turns the game from a 4v1 balance, to a 1v1 balance at the bottom of the 9th for no other reason than entitlement. You may simply be the best of the worst, doesn’t mean you’re good. If she was busy with others, that’s not her fault. Simple predator/prey interaction. Pick off the weaker ones first, then go for the stronger ones.
  • Seems to be the normal you get seated with one specific map type a day. Yesterday I was getting junkyard a lot, with a couple others sprinkled in. Mother’s Dwelling, Coal Tower, and Asylum.

Today was rough though. I got Haddonfield 3 times in a row, Lery’s, then Haddonfield again. Which really sucks as Nurse. Already have a hard time blinking on PS4, Haddonfield and Lery’s “Dead Zones” for Blinks and not being able to see with all the Walls and hedges... was kind of game over for me.
  • I use Ruin 100% of the time on PS4. I play all the optimal builds. Likewise, as a Survivor I see it often. About 80% of my matches.
  • I don't use either but it really depends on which Killer you’re facing. DH is alright if you’re a Looper vs. all Killers though it’s kind of crappy if you’re in the open. It’s a direct counter to Nurse though. It’s amazing if you simply hit it when she appears from her blink in Strike distance.

I hate Sprint Burst, but Dead Hard drives me bonkers when I’m Nurse.
  • Killers have been bitching about this for ages. Games are too short to allow for most Killers to not camp/tunnel someone to death. Either play Nurse or get Looped into oblivion to the point you just simply do not have enough time to give everyone a fair three chances on the hook.

Most Killers don’t want to camp/tunnel. We just don’t have a choice with how powerful Looping is as a game mechanic.
  • Never really. As much as the Tea Bagging guy deserves it, you’re just giving him the attention he/she wants.

He/she either gets away with being a jackass, or if you give him/her the attention he/she wants by facecamping him/her, he/she gets to gloat how he/she “was so awesome you just HAD to facecamp him/her and make sure he/she died. He/she is JUST that awesome.”

No matter what, you’re feeding his/her ego. So really, there’s no point. Best to just keep trying sadly.
  • Could always play Nurse. I’ve been having a lot of fun watching SWF groups on PS4 completely lose their minds because they haven’t run into an actual good Nurse on console. They have no clue what to do vs. a Nurse that can actually land Blink hits.

No date yet. It's being certified for consoles and should come out ASAP though.

I’VE DONE MY WAITING! 12 YEARS OF IT! IN AZKABAN!

Sorry, I had to make that joke. I hope it’s soon though.
  • Myers. Simply because he’s my childhood horror icon. However, I’ve been playing a lot of Nurse now. I’ve gotten tired of being Looped to death. I’m on PS4 so the looping still has vacuum and all that crap. I can still wreck with Myers, I’m just tired of running in circles. If I’m going to be rewarded for doing well and killing everyone, at least it’s wont be as frustrating, boring, and flat out annoying with Nurse.
