I'm really excited about it because of Wraith. I added him to the list of Killers that I play a couple months ago.
-
The Distressing buff is the best thing to come out of this post (I main Doc, the Killer that benefits the most from a large terror radius). The WGLF idea is cool too.
Spine Chill and BBQ have easy counters. Just because something's used a lot doesn't always mean it's OP. A lot of people could just think it looks cool.
-
I don't care. They're going on that hook. I'm not the type of Killer to give Hatch.
-
It’s too strong when combined with other second perks, it’s hell to deal with during endgame, and it encourages farming.
-
I’m guessing the devs are scared of making the perks too strong (which they wouldn’t be). Same thing with all the insanely long cooldowns. The only Killers that benefit from this are Demogorgon and Deathslinger running STBFL.
-
Yep, they were murdered in the PTB.
-
-
I had the same reaction in regards to PS4/XB1 cross-progression. I honestly don’t care that much for crossplay, just give me cross-progression. I’d prefer to not start all over each time I start the game on a different platform.

I'm pretty sure the devs can remove the penalty when it is clear it was not your fault
That’ll stop working as more people are affected by it. Do you want the devs to spend every hour they have removing penalties? It’ll also be annoying for the players to deal with. Removing the penalties was the quickest and easiest option.
-
The DC penalty has been disabled because hackers were giving it to random people at will (Tru3 and another streamer received 72 hour long penalties). I'm a PS4 Doctor player, but most of my DCs are when people fail at pulling off their sick "montage-worthy" plays. I've had people try to locker tech me and immediately DC upon getting grabbed.

Then just ban the hackers? Was probably 0.01% of all playerbase
Other people would step up to replace them. People could see themselves unable to play for weeks. Disabling the penalties means that the devs can work on the problem without fear of it spreading farther than just a couple of streamers. I want to play DbD without having to worry about some salty ######### giving me a 3-day penalty for no reason.
-
It's meh. Only being triggered by basic attacks and its cooldown are really holding it back.
-
Overall I enjoyed it a lot and it's one of my favorite events in DbD.
I loved getting so many points per game. It helped me finish my Adept Survivors, get good perks on Laurie, get all perks on Wraith, and get Leatherface to prestige 2. However, as we reached the end of the event, I noticed more Survivors going full sweat, like they were trying to make sure I got as little bonus BPs as possible.
-
It’s too dark on most maps.
-
A decent amount. I tried to use them as often as I could.
I managed to finish my Adept Survivors, level up Laurie to get my current build on her, get all perks on Wraith, and get Leatherface to prestige 2.
-
Noooo! It looked so good!

Really? I find treating that like an unsafe pallet works wonders. Just have 'em vault it thrice and it's blocked and they're basically dead meat. Those rooms usually only come with either absolutely nothing aside from the window, or an unsafe pallet. Which both are basically a death sentence to any killer who can follow a survivor. But I wish they have a better route. Those windows are so out of the way of everything that going to them usually only works as a last moment resort.
I played Midwich earlier and it felt like the Survivor was too far away when leaving that window. I was playing Freddy (115% Killer) but still felt too slow to reach the Survivor in time.
-
For me Survivors seem to DC the most after they try one of their sick locker plays but I grab them instead. It’s almost always the first Survivor I find too. As Survivor, I’ve had a couple of DCs because a teammate doesn’t like the Killer. I can’t wait for this DC penalty to come back.
Also, you should block out the usernames of the Survivors.

Unfortunately tomorrow at 11 AM Eastern time.

Adept is especially hard at red ranks since you need 4 iridescents as killer to double pip whereas survivor is 3 iridescents and a gold.
It’s even worse when you’re a Killer whose power doesn’t work properly with the Emblems (Plague, any instadown Killer). Have fun trying to get four Iridescents against red ranks using only M1 for most of the match.

Trying to think, which one are you talking about exactly? Most of them come paired with a breakable wall, but I'm curious. But definitely needs more dropdowns.
It's on the second floor that's between two rooms and at the end of a wall. The Killer has to go all the way around it to reach the Survivor. Even breaking the wall doesn't do that much because the Survivor can just vault back over and waste a good amount of time. If you're right at the window and the Killer can't get a hit, they have to keep running around the wall (and it's a long wall, not as long as Haddonfield's fences, but still long). I think adding a hole or breakable wall to the middle of it would help out.
-
Midwich needs more dropdowns and a review of its windows. At least one of those windows is completely safe for the Survivor.
-
Where’s the poll?
As for the topic, hell yes it needs to go. Everything about his rework needs to go except maybe the roar he makes when using his chainsaw. It’s hilarious.
-
The terrible, terrible optimization of console. This makes Killer at least twice as hard to play. Did you think you were going to down that Survivor? Too soon, have fun being trying to figure out what the hell is going on. 360s are pretty much uncounterable with this. It’s not fun having to fight the game itself.
Add in dedicated servers and you’ve got yourself an amazing experience. Did you time your shock correctly as Doc? Cool, now watch as the Survivor completely ignores the stun (I’ve had Survivors drop the pallet after the shock hit and they finished screaming or vault twice during the stun’s duration) and then deal with some crappy FPS. Doc’s not the only Killer this happens to, I just used him for my example.
-
I'm going to try to put something different than just moris, keys, DS, NOED, etc.
- 360s (I want to remove the low FPS on consoles, but since I can't remove frames from the game, I'm going after something that they really mess with)
- The Devout Emblem's hook actions requirement
- The merciless requirement from the Adept Killers (you'd only need to kill everyone)
-
I'm terrified that they're going to add some limit to his cloak for some BS reason. I wouldn't mind seeing the red cooldown bar if it's a buff to Wraith (like with Doc and Bubba).

Currently The Last of Us Part II (New Game +) and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Losing 15% in Chaser from camping means you spent a LONG time within 16m of a hook. I mean a LONG time!
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Emblems#Chaser
If my math is right and I am understanding this properly. 15% of Chaser equals 380 points out of the 2,500 total. And you lose 3-7.5 points per second you are within 8-16m of a hooked Survivor. So to lose 380 points, that means you needed to spend anywhere between 50-126 seconds camping a hooked Survivor AFTER the initial 10 seconds it takes to start losing Chaser points.
That is quite frankly, a freaking lot of hard camping. It is also making me question your story as to earn a Gold emblem in Devout you need 8 points, 3 kills only gives 6 points. So you would have needed those 3 kills and to hook all 4 Survivors at least once for 1 more point AND have a total of 9 hooks in that game to earn the final point to total 8. Gold Malicious supports the gold Devout having 9 hooks as you have to land a fair number of hooks for a gold Malicious emblem.
Something isn't right here. That much camping in a game with THAT many total hooks? It doesn't add up unless it was a total farm. Even then it feels wrong and doesn't match your story at all.
I will admit that this came from my memory so some things might have sounded off.
Here is a video starting from when I first hooked the Feng. You’ll see that I have one BBQ stack already, and that’s from Yui. I left that hook immediately, so she couldn’t have contributed to my Chaser penalty. This was uploaded straight from my PS4, so the quality isn’t the best.

You're rank 1, does it really matter?
@Accullla said:
as someone else said, you're still rank 1.
That said, you chose not to chase, so you didn't get rewarded for chasing. Pretty straightforward
Seems like you guys are just looking at my rank and ignoring everything else. My rank isn’t the point here. Who cares about that here? My problem is that the Emblem system is crappy and punishes me for not giving Survivors second chances. I didn’t expect any extra rewards, but I shouldn’t have been punished either. Would you have brought up my rank if I had been at purple, green, or even yellow ranks?
-
It's my favorite map as Killer. I love turning pallets into death traps as Doctor.
-
Doctor! Strong, fun to play, and laughs his ass off as Survivors descend into madness.
-
Survivor items have been getting add-on passes. The medkit and toolbox got theirs when they were looked at.
As for upcoming add-on passes, I'm expecting Huntress and Myers.
-
I just hate it when Spirits really try to tunnel you because of how strong she is. They ignore DSs.
-
IIRC he’s going through the same legal crap Jason is. The devs can only do balance changes and bug fixes with him right now.
-
Bloodpoints through the Shrine.
-
Doctor’s. Unfortunately it never got a chance in the spotlight (Lunar event began when it released and then the devs weirdly switched back to the default menu music), so you’ll only hear it if you own Doctor.
-
We stocked up on add-ons and Black Wards.
Back before the Doctor rework was announced, I kept stocking up on Iridescent Kings and Black Wards, so I already had a decent amount of Kings and Wards. I stopped playing Doctor and dumped all of my points into him before his rework dropped. By the time it released, I only had 12 Kings but almost 30 Wards and over 200 Queens. The Bloodweb has also been kind to me with Wards and Ultra Rare add-ons. It’s been years since I first started using Iridescent King. I’ve been using the King + Queen combo since his rework came out.

Not alot of people are fan of the Rat king, Might aswell make it a paragraph with Ellie and Joel as the survivors. Just like Ash. Bhvr will definitely be seeing an increased revenue when they release a Last of us chapter.
People didn’t like the Rat King? I’ve only seen praise towards it and its section. Even people that didn’t like the rest of the game had good things to say about Ground Zero.
-
I think they either forgot or are waiting until they can update every description at once.
-
The lobby dodging penalty is also gone.
-
Camp a key for 90 seconds? That's suicide! You're throwing the game to destroy a single item.
-
I thought Myers was next. When the devs started talking about who they want to change a long time ago (I think it was after Nurse's changes), I remember hearing Myers's name after the chainsaw bros'.

I hope it’s Hag.
she needs healthier counterplay. Ones that don’t leave her powerless, but also ones that aren’t a joke like attempting to crouch away from the hook despite her trucking on back over to down you before getting more than a couple of metres away.
You're also relying on the other Survivor to know her counterplay. I've successfully crouched up to a hook or somewhere that I suspect/know she trapped only to have the other Survivor trigger her trap and ruin everything. It made me want to DC when I was at low ranks against Hag.
-
It’ll be even worse on console. We already have poor optimization that makes lunges harder to hit on top of dedicated servers. This new hit validation is going to make things even worse. The worst part about it is that Survivors know about this and are going to abuse it as much as they can.
-
The current one is helpful if Survivors rely on their items or have a really powerful one. The new one is going to destroy items on the ground in 90 seconds.
-
Wow. These videos have just convinced me that the nerf is too much. RIP curving if this goes through.
-
There's something up with flashlights. I've been blinded from the side three times now. The third time, the blind wasn't even close to finishing while I was turning away but it acted as if the Survivor was directly in front of me. The first and second time, I had made a complete 90 degree turn but the game still acted like the Survivor was in front of me. I guess all you need now is to see a little bit of the Killer's face in order to get the blind off. Looks like Lightborn and Franklin's are the only consistent flashlight counters now.
-
Yes, you’ll keep all of those add-ons. I started saving Scrapped Tapes (an uncommon add-on at the time) on Doctor when his rework was announced and I had over 200 Iridescent Queens when it released (I still have around 195 today). I don’t see why it wouldn’t work this way for the chainsaw bros.
-
Isn’t Billy going to be the same Killer but with slightly more skill required to play him?
-
I buy the full chapters from the store.
-
He’s still the same Killer as before though. You just need a bit more skill to play him. He can still go across the map and down you.
-
I’m not going to be surprised if BHVR’s plan is to give every Killer the red cooldown bar. Deathslinger surprisingly doesn’t have one for his reload.
