Or, they can just show that they are mature and force the Survivors out so that they go into the next game as well. I will never understand why some Killers are so upset about a Survivor spamming the Crouch-Button.

Why would they, right? Going out of your way to BM someone doesn´t hurt anyone, it can´t ever be bad. It´s also way more mature to wait for the losing party to show up so you can taunt them and flipp them the digital finger.

  • As much as this would make sense in terms of balance and game health, I don´t think they will do such a thing. It might set a precedent they want to avoid.

Also bear in mind that one of the balance team bosses is not interested in the player experience or feedback. As long as Objects continue to die often, nothing will change since the statistics will suggest that Object is "fine".

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Probably they don't want to get tea bagged and feel bad.

^this. After years of abuse, I think many just won´t bother watching the Survivors taunt and BM at the gates anymore. I still do it most of the time though, in the end it´s usually faster and it gives a tiny little bit extra BP.

  • Not neccessarily good for the shops name, but they could make an absurdely large, fat and sweet Doughnut and call it Object of Obesity

  • Dead by Doughnut -Dough is not an escape would be the obvious, uninspired answer, hopefully someone comes up with something more spicy :D

  • So DCing is okay every time someone does something you don´t like? Come on.

Sadly the devs don't seem to care about how weak billy is right now. You can make your voice be heard simply by not playing Billy which will decrease his pick rate. In the mean time, I would suggest giving Blight a try, he is similar to Billy mechanically, a lot stronger, and insanely fun to play.

But if he stops playing him the Billy playerbase will drop to single digits!

  • It´s kinda hard to judge which one is more lethal tbh. Blight seems more consistent from what I can tell watching some streamers, like Scott. He does an amazing Blight.

I think Oni has more highs and lows with less margin for error. Not capitalising enough on the power is very punishing on him, whereas Blight recovers very fast from misplays and is threatening throughout the match.

Personally I´d recommend Oni, but I´m very biased :P

  • I guess Amanda could take Evan away from any man given their unique connection :P

  • NGL I lost it when TWO claudettes showed up with their toys. 1 appearing during pickup is already the most dreaded thing to see as Killer. Two will give people nightmares :D

Great vid, especially highlighting the elaborate sounds Bubba makes.

  • @Mooks said:

Not having anything against this concept at all, but we all know this will lead to more bugs related to those perks, those are too many changes that would happen too frequently

^this. I don´t think the DEVs could handle such a thing.

  • I´d recommend Oni. Pathetic early game, but his power is awesome. Both of these two Killers take a fair amount of skill to use well though.

Blight has Undying, which has risen to META. Oni doesn´t bring any particularly good perks to the table apart from Nemesis for PWYF combo on Bubba.

I don't do it to killers because I know how it will be perceived and im not about making other people feel rubbish.

Exactly my point - most of us have chat turned off for that reason, I've had a lot of it myself. But how can you then contribute something positive when the negative behavior has stopped us being able to message?

The response to my post alone has proved that even trying to ask how we change things for the better leads to being spoken to like an idiot and being told it was pointless to try. Lesson learned and won't be trying that again I guess.

I´m sorry if I came off as condescending - that was certainly not my intend.

You can make a difference in your own personal sphere of influence by just not BMing. I do that, too, all we can do is hope more people join us there.

  • If you teabag Killers without the intent to BM and humiliate them, you´re a unicorn. Teabagging the Killer is flipping them the digital finger.

Many Killers have their chats turned off because they are tired of getting called trash and they should kill themselves so many times per day, I think we need to respect their choice to no longer wanting to read that.

I have my chat always open though, but I completely understand why some have it off by default.

Unfortunately I don´t think your post will make a difference, neither in the toxic way teabagging is used nor the way it´s percieved.

  • Agree with everything on your list except Object *sad trapper face*

Imagine saying someone lacks balls to spit on someone, imagine thinking you're a big man because you'd spit on someone, lmao.

Nope dude, it's definitely basically the same, it's the closest comparison obviously, if tbagging someone across a pallet is the same as assaulting someone irl, hitting them with a machete is basically murder.

Imagine putting words into someones mouth they never said.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1722970#Comment_1722970

Except not really, I could happily t-bag people all day in video games, wouldn't dare spit on or at anyone irl.

This is such a warped view of things, I guess a killer standing in front of you hitting you on the hook is basically them murdering you irl too.

I reckon you don´t spit at people irl because you lack the balls to do so, so you happily do it in a videogame. Classic keyboard warrior.

And yes, someone hitting me on the hook in DBD is definately the same as getting killed. It´s not BM, it´s actually murdering me. Come on you can´t be that stupid.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1722886#Comment_1722886

No, being t-bagged is not the equivalent to being spat at, that's ridiculous.

With the tools available in-game, it´s as close as you can get. The intent and message are the same.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1722832#Comment_1722832

    lmao, ok buddy.

Learn the difference between video games and real life. If you can't see the difference between someone spitting at you in real life and someone spamming CTRL on their keyboard to make their character go up and down you're always going to be offended and upset.

Nothing in DBD can really offend me. Compared to what can happen at work, this is all fluff and candy to me. I understand though what OP is describing since it´s the ingame equivalent of my example.

Thanks to your sage advice I will from now on really put effort into learning what the difference between real life and video games is. I didn´t know there was one before!

  • @Seanzu said:

You'll never get better at all if you only tunnel and camp people you suspect of being SWF.

I can't tell you the amount of times I've had a player who is "so sure" in end-game chat that we're SWFers when I know I'm at least solo.

Also, still not sure why everyone is so sensitive about T-Bagging & Flashlight flicking, it has zero effect on the game and you need to move past it.

You´re so right. When I´d flip you the finger and spit ever so slitghtly in front of your feet it wouldn´t affect you either, right? Only the most pathetic snowflakes would feel anything about that.

  • This kind of BM and toxicity are basically core parts of DBD. If you want to keep playing Killer and enjoy it, you will not only have to work on improving your skill constantly but also on finding ways to deal with BM. There is no way around it since it´s so prevalent.

Dwight_Fairfield is right, having a thicc skin is neccessary to being able to play Killer.

  • For the next match I´ll use forever Freddy with an Ebony Mori, I proxy camp to avoid BT and Mori off hook instantly. I´ll make sure to BM every Survivor for the remainder of my play session.

Just kidding, I move on and hope I´ll have a more pleasant next game.

  • I usually take 1 gen perk and maybe corrupt on top and I main the lowest tier Killers (Myers, Trapper, Clown) at rank 1. What you claim just doesn´t hold true except for the rare case you verse one of the extraordinarily skilled, tourney level super sweat squads.

  • You reap what you sow. If your standard play involves BM, that makes you a prime target to be treated in kind. Obviously you´re offended by the same kind of stuff, so why do you complain?

The profile reveal seems over the top though, not sure if it´s even allowed.

Lol f13 balanced? Game is like playing freddy and spirit with trapper traps. All you do is trap the objectives and insta choke everyone. When's the last time anybody had a full team of tryhards to take on Jason? The only time there's any more than 2 escapes is when the Jason is totally incompetent.

Even the devs said the game wasnt balanced. They WANTED Jason to be overpowered with escaping being the exception. Which is terrible design considering the game isnt scary at all, just annoyingly frustrating as counselor. I thank god every day you guys arent on the dbd balance team lol.

I think you meant to address someone else.

  • How did you discover your love for facecamping?

How well would you say does it work in terms of winning the game, overall?

Edit: Sorry if this has been asked before and I missed it somehow, but do you usually use Leatherface? He´s one of the two Facecamping Kings, after all.

  • STBFL/Surge/BS/BBQ is my golden standard for Clown. Enjoy the pain!

  • How much do you enjoy this playstyle?

Are there certain Survivors that you prefer to hang out with? If so, which and why?

Have you ever been complimented on your wins using this strategy?

  • I´m 30 years old as of recently and I´ve legit never heard of FNAF before this forum was blessed with 10 posts about it every day.

At first glance, it looks like a goofy kids game. I can´t rememer who unfortunately, but a forum member convinced me to at least check it out before judging so harshly.

So I watched playthroughs of the first 3 games, I think. Not gonna lie, it did little to improve my stance on it. But little it did.

I think many people that value the established Horror icons share this oppinion. It feels almost insulting to grant these figures a place among our roster. To me, at least. I´m worried that time and money could be wasted on something that is upsetting and disappointing to a significant portion of the playerbase. It also broadens what can and can´t be added a bit too much for my liking. The fact that it´s supposed to be that popular is baffling to me, but I may be an edge case.

    I hope it never comes.

  • I did some GF matches with Devour, Spies, Haunted Grounds and Retribution. Lerys and Game offering :)

Of course lots of Myers and Scratched Mirror Myers (with Devour, Haunted Grounds, Noed, MYC)

Wished everyone Happy Halloween, overall no one was mean spirited today. Great matches :D

  • @The_Krapper said:

I'm gonna start by saying camping is totally acceptable in the game and I don't have an issue with it but at least own it

I just watched a streamer (that I can't name of course) hard proxy within 8 meters every hook that he got and two survivors escaped and went to his TTv and asked him why he camped from the start and he said because a survivor was right there everytime he hooked someone taunting him but the man wouldn't chase a soul away from the hook and nobody was there for the first half of the hook stages he just wouldnt leave and had the audacity to call the two that escaped bad for not being able to get the survivors that were being camped with Oni in his power so I've come to the conclusion if you say "the survivors don't leave the hook" it really means "I'm not gonna chase anyone and camp this guy" because if even one guy is right there that's a easy BBQ stack to earn because you didn't have to go anywhere to start the chase and he's not on a gen , solely you make the decision to camp, if you're going to have that playstyle at least own it is all I'm saying and don't make excuses for it.

Totally agree. If you camp, for whatever reason (since sometimes it´s "legit" and sometimes not so much, depending on who you ask), own it. Especially when you get caught camping, what´s the point in denying it?

Thank you!! Your Myers build is amazing! I considered getting him since his perks are really nice, but I should watch the films first (I haven't seen ANY horror films, I got into the game from a friend and they told me the plots lol!) Ghostie is my best boy, I never give people final hook and I can teabag with them at the gates <3 I need to learn how to use dead hard since I can never figure out how to activate it or I pack it when I get a match with Bubba or Billy

Can definately recommend Myers, he´s one of the coolest Killers imo :) I´m sure you will get the hang of Dead Hard in no time!

Go watch the dam movies!! Most are...not so great if you aren´t a fan already, but the classic Halloween, part 2, H20, Halloween 2018 are very good.

Haha glad you are having fun with Ghostie, really like him too :D

  • For Survivor, my usual build is Kindred (solo player) +Iron Will + Borrowed Time + (Dead Hard/WGLF/PTS/UB), pretty standard stuff. For fun times, Pebble and Head On are just the best :D Another fun build I like is Lithe+QnQ+Dance With me, lets you just disappear through the window^^

My standard Myers build is Surge, Corrupt, BBQ and Brutal Strength, works just super well but it´s kinda basic, it´s for relaxed games.

Scratched Mirror, Boyfriends Memo, Haunted Ground, Devour Hope, Noed and Make your Choice on Indoor maps is fun as hell :D

Haven´t run a meme build on Trapper for a while. Surge/Corrupt/Whispers/Stbfl is my golden standard.

Many nice builds mentioned here, and cool recolors @GoodBoyKaru !

Your GF build is pretty good @megswifey. Personally, I propably couldn´t live without Corrupt on him but I guess with Whispers you can make it work :D

Ruin/Undying is born to please most people looking for a way to keep their hex totem up if someone spawns near theme in the early game. So it's fine, you cleanse my Ruin within the first 20 seconds of the start is not fun. Also, Ruin is intended to be more effective at the mid-game, but whituout Undying is pointless. No hex totem lasts so long.

Yes. The aura reading on top is too much though. I think if you want info on top of respawn, you should run Toth. With Undying this totem is basically pointless currently.

  • @Wesker said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1720140#Comment_1720140

The point is.. Ruin/Undying will be nerfed on their logic becouse yes, something on the killer side is too strong and working, and that's BAD. But, something is too strong and working on the survivor side? Devs replies: git gud - adapt - APPLY PRESSURE

That´s no entirely fair, though. Mettle of Man is a prominent example of an overpowered Survivor perk that got nerfed pretty swiftly, and even release MoM is pathetically weak compared to object.

Since the old times so much has changed. Survivors have gotten many neccessary nerfs to balance the game better, but we now have reached a point where solo survivors have it really rough.

Ruin/Undying is nuts on some Killers, given they are competent. I´d like to see it nerfed a bit, and I´m a Killer main, but I care about balance.

  • Either these people have absolutely no clue about DBD or they have nice satire skills :D Fun read either way.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Nah, he needs to play a solo match against a decent rank 1 blight/spirit/billy/nurse loaded with undying, ruin, and tinker,....and bbq for icing on top. This is far more OP than anything in the game. It's literally god mode.

I´d like to see that, too. But first comes the Object match!

  • @Wesker said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1720090#Comment_1720090

Also M&A Myers is dead against OoO, forget the strategy of sneaking up from a corner while you are in Level II

Oh yeah for sure. At least he can use T3 and be a threat. though. T1 can be even an advantage if the object doesn´t pay attention and the map allows it.

  • @Wesker said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1720090#Comment_1720090

OoO works as a mindgame sniper while the OoO user is sleeping. Try it with some friends in private match and you will notice the perk countering Freddy at 100%. That's insane and needs to be adjusted

Yeah I know, perma aura read. At least Freddy can still teleport and slow the object down with his traps,Trapper just doesn´t have a power against Object teams.

  • I´m all for that, with one change - he should go with Trapper instead of Freddy for the true Object experience.

Maybe Matthieu still has contact to his "buddies" from his unpleasant encounter and can set them up for a match?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/202464/please-stop

Just going to bring up some counters with some of the statement you said.

Please, don´t assume that everyone is subject to the same rules and standards. We as customers are just guests here in the forum, for example.

Nobody (from what I've seen) is expecting everyone to be under the same rules. However, what we are expecting in a community is ruled depending on your status. EG: If somebody who has no correlation to the game is toxic, then it's not a massive issue. However, lets say, a fog whisperer is heavily toxic, then that's an issue. They should not be promoting a toxic playstyle to the community and people entering the game period. ESPECIALLY since to be a FW, you need to have a overall welcoming attitude.

    (Taken from the DBD site):

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/RLD6XC7EJRNV/image.png

Some are free to break the rules of DBD. They are also free to act in a toxic way, to hurt others and to get them banned, unpenalised as they please.

Why should they especially considering their status and what they hold to the game? and when these "rules" are made by BHVR themselves? Same example, if a fog whisperer is openly being toxic, why should they stay a fog whisperer when they clearly are having a negative impact on the community? Easy answer: they shouldn't.

There is nothing you can do about it. You may dislike it, but you may not bring it up if you want to continue being part of the community.

We should be able to bring it up as constructive criticism, as I have here. I have not crossed the line of insulting or name and shaming. I have simply brought up current issues while abiding by forum rules. This is constructive, and if this post get's me banned despite me breaking no rules, then we have another issue.

(Just as an EDIT: I understand that people are crossing lines, by insulting, I haven't done this, and I have tried to get across what people are trying to say in a constructive manner.)

Ideally, community members should be held accountable by the same basic rules. Do X, get Y as a result. It´s rooted in a fundamental sense of fairness, which I think is the cause for a lot of frustration.

The apparent inaction in the face of, for example, toxic behavior and exploiting loopholes to avoid the DC penalty with alledgedly an official being present provides the image that rules apply to some, but not others. Hence I draw the conclusion that specific people do not have to follow the rules. I can´t develop any further here without giving too much detail (which I propaby already did anyways) though.

Your supposed civil criticism of the issue has been brought up before and was swiftly removed. The case I´m refferring to may or may not be subject to bias which further complicates things.

I agree with you that FWs ideally should have to meet certain expectations (which in theory they have to), yet there are examples where they don´t meet those and they keep their status. There you have some examples of not-following rules by BHVR without consequences.

  • Yeah due to pandemic regulations in my area I´ll propably just be home, maybe watch a movie or two (good choices by you btw but it´s HALLOWEEN :D) and play Myers all night :P

    Probably.

Here in Australia we call red necks, Bogans (pronunced bo-guns or bo-gens).

We have a lot of them. Billy probably resonates well with them.

Oh dude I SO wanna visit Australia one day. A friends sister went off to live there with her BF and they love it.

I’ve seen nothing BUT Billy since this mid chapter when I play survivor.

We are not here to publicly shame someone for a mistake, when we punish someone, we hope they learn from their mistakes and they have numerous chances to learn, there would be no need to have this conversation if people did that.

Well I certainly appreciate your defense of the MO in case of rule violations. It may be time to open a discussion among your team about the image certain things portray, though. Apparently many people are very upset with the behavior of certain people and them apparently getting away with it scott free, something that a lot of people would imagine would not apply to themselves.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Which translates to "The ones with power can be bullies, so keep your head down." I disagree with that. Keeping your head down is the worst thing you can do.

See, you´d be the one unconscious with a set of broken bones in an alley if you´d argue like that with those people I was refferring to, achieving nothing but that, but I digress.

It´s about what you deem more important. Being able to participate in the community or voicing your concerns about certain things. Of course you can make up your own mind about that.

Let´s also not forget that this is a gaming community and nothing political. I understand your POV but not everything is worth fighting tooth and nails for.
