Iirc Blood Warden was only showing the auras once the exit blocker activates, instead of being active as soon as a gate is opened. Don’t know if it’s still bugged or not.
Dont think it is anymore, but its definitely not lighting up once the gates are powered, only when you get a hook
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
Seems unintended and probably had to do with the bug where the icon was lighting up when Undetectable from another source, which was just fixed.
Ironically in the process of doing that they bugged PWYF to do the same thing which doesn’t even make sense because it doesn’t give you stealth.
Yeah thats exactly what it was, it was activating from other sources of Undetectable which made it pair pretty well with other perks
Also it seems like a bunch of perks now are bugged like that, Blood Warden has been bugged since I believe Skull Merchants release where it doesnt light up anymore when the exit gates are powered, but only when you actually hook some one. It also doesnt show people at the exit gates from time to time which is odd
-
I love indoor maps aesthetically, but gameplay wise they screw over A LOT of the killer roster
Come on BHVR, just make a map pool for each killer individually, would make balancing them so much easier

I'm of the opinion that Insidious shouldn't be in the game. The only times it's not useless is when it promotes unfun gameplay.
Other kinds of undetectable perks are much healthier in comparison.
When used in this way, it was the complete opposite of unfun
Basically the same feeling as going against Scratched Mirror but on literally any killer
-
@CaulDrohn said:
I was just thinking, maybe we could give Insidious a buff similar to the buff Lethal got, so that it extends the duration of timed Undetectable effects by a certain amount. Would give the perk more utility besides just camping (hooks or gens).
The perk tiers could than be various amounts of the extension, e.g. 30%, 40%, 50% longer. And the Undetectable when standing still could trigger after 1 second already, which would maybe allow to use it in loops for mind games.
This in combination to what it used to be able to do would be such a fun perk to use

you can still use it. you stand for 2 seconds while being undetectable. very pointless perk. The only killer that I have ever seen use this perk is insidious bubba.
I mean yeah it still works but it still severely limits the amount of time you can walk around while Undetectable
The perk definitely wasnt great, but it was on the same level of fun as Scratched Mirror for me. Its a shame its butchered now

Old Object and old MoM

It only matters if they do it in retaliation for camping/tunneling?

Bullying rarely is deep for the bullies, that’s the problem.

You got me.
what???
-
If this tierlist was WITH add ons then it would make a bit more sense... But without? Some of these placements are just wrong.
The obvious outlier here is Skull Merchant. Shes in no way on the top, her complaints mainly come from her being unfun to go against

Now it all makes sense. But in all honesty, an excellent summation.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3423568#Comment_3423568
In my experience, they do it regardless.
Same here, but no reason to make a giant fuss about it. Its just generic ingame BM.
-
You can tunnel and camp some one who FL or Sabo saved sure
But dont be upset or surprised when their team or even that same Survivor rub it in with a few clicks or tbags at the exit gate
-
The most I could ever see the entity being added as a character, is like a Cultist who summons the Entity during the trials to aid them
Thats about it tho
-
Just wait to actually doing the attack until you are right behind the Survivor
Only time I would exit the dash is if you suspect the survivor has DH, but thats much less common nowadays
-
@Veinslay said:
I mean the gens are flying and getting done faster than ever. There are no good gen regression perks anymore while the maps are still horribly designed and all the gen speed boosting perks and items were left untouched and even buffed. Not sure how you can't get the gens done and escape
And I mean Survivors are dying faster than ever since all of their "second chances" were taken away making camping and tunneling more effective. S tier killers have been basically untouched and several killers still have broken add ons. Not sure how you cant get 4k's with all that

doc, legion (as many mentioned), blight, and nemmy (licensed) come to mind. just avoid oneshot killers, plague and pyramid head, they are awful for points.
Pyramid Head aint oneshot tho?
Also in my experience hes pretty decent at getting points

Hilarious? You say this is hilarious?
Yes

@Pulsar said:
Yeah, nobody defends her design.
She's pretty much the only Killer I support being given the old Freddy treatment
Not even, she just needs the instadown removed and make her stealth more meaningful.
Lock on could instead build up faster and put a Claw Trap onto a Survivor. This would make the threat of it all the same whether youre healthy or injured but not feel as frustrating as the current instadown which feels undeserved 90% of the time

they did it for Blight, for a couple of months if you played Blight you were basically watching from Waist height. Literally playing with grass in your face and barely able to see over a window.
the difference between that and what OP is describing tho is former was a bug

Overrated Survivor: Prove Thyself
Underrated Survivor: Object of Obsession
Overrated killer: Save the Best for Last
Underrated killer: Terminus

So long the Game is Survivor Sided i Think Yes they are so they can Sale more Survivor Skins
I can See the Killers base speed is going to get nerfed since some Survivors are complaining about it
I can guarantee you that the level youre playing at aint survivor sided

I seriously do not understand the BBQ Event being remembered as one of the best events in the game, I mean sure it had cool music and it had a feel which was fairly different but that was pretty much it
Gameplay wise it was even less interesting than the Withering Blight and Eternal Blight, and we all know how the former went

So if I pallet smash you 2x (even though you respected), chain blinded you and then you leave to find someone else but I click and teabag you, you just aren’t gonna chase me?
oh I mean as Survivor its enough
I dont remember the last time Ive ever tunneled some one out just because they tried being annoying. If anything the kind of players who do genuinely try to get a reaction out of you by doing such thing are usually the ones who get upset once they realize youre just playing normally but still kicking their ass.
-
usually a yellow flashlight and a few pallet stuns is enough for me lol

To get a possibly obvious question out of the way: I think a recent update reverted customized settings. Is it possible your sensitivity settings were actually altered?
I changed back my sens settings and even then something still feels off
Even when putting sens to the max doing tight curves is just not working, it always goes wide
-
So when Dredge initially teleports to a locker, theres a slamming sound that can be heard
The warning plays if he stays in there for 8 seconds, which will play a constant sound and smoke will surround the locker.
In both instances, all Survivors can hear it as long as they're close enough
-
Yknow I wasn't expecting that, played a game of her and can confirm there is indeed a new animation
Might be a bug tho since there are a few things that are off, like her hands being much higher than normal
-
Ive realized something being off as well, but instead its absolute stomp fests. Got a group of 3 where 2 of them had less than 400 hours twice in a row.
-
I wouldnt mind it, but honestly I dont think it was that great. It was how ever the very last event where the music could still be heard while searching for a match, unlike now where the killer/survivor theme(s) take over.
I think the reason why people think so highly of it, is the time it came out. Tones of issues were being fixed and major balance changes as well. The game was just moving in a healthier direction and a good chunk of the community was very happy.
What reinforces this belief even more is the Withering Blight which was the exact same gameplay wise. This event was even more lackluster than the Eternal Blight (BY FAR one of the worst events in terms of community reception, when the only difference between it and its predecessor, were the halloween add ons) but still didnt have many complaints because we were getting good changes. Eternal Blight was in the dead center of one of DbD's dark ages, which definitely didnt help.

His ability would not have a lot of up-time, and he would now be a pure m1 killer in chase.
A 3 gen can be countered by survivors who use their brains. Simply saying you don't want to change/expand any of the killers because of bonehead survivors, will just mean the game keeps bleeding players and getting more boring.
Yeah man he is great right now, a 10 second patrol that any moron can avoid is definitely what makes him a solid killer. Definitely fun to drop his power at pallets as his guards stumble onto a 1cm area back and forth if it doesnt detect survivors. Totally nothing wrong with fundamental basics of his kit.
that last mini paragraph is exactly what I mean, people just simply have no idea how to play him other than what you just described
-
This would just make him feel worst to play against since now he'd be better at 3 gens, (because a Guard could last up to almost 2 minutes near a gen) going down to his Guards would almost be guaranteed since I don't think you understand just how fast 110% is for them, or even 115%. You also have a killer that has basically no skill required in order to use their power making them boring af to play and even less appealing than he already is.
Quite honestly, The Knight is fine. He is in a very similar boat to Bubba in the way he's actually fairly fun to play as and against but if the person playing him decides to be a dick then its just a really unfun experience for the Survivors (Bubba has camping, he has 3 gens)
He does basically what Twins players have been longing for and that's being in 2 places at once but actually applying pressure to both of those places. His Guards all have multiple ways you can use them but all people do is treat them all the exact same way and just zone or 3 gen. They all have quite a bit of versatility and there is so much more depth to him that I'm actually contemplating making either an entire essay on it for the forums, or hell even jump into content creation to make an in depth guide for him (and other killers who are severely under appreciated, looking at you Merchant)

Nobody is jumping in front of the killer because nobody is running them. They are not powerful at all. You can have a pocket endurance with a medkit which is waaay better than DH. Both DH and BR have so many requirements that combined should grant you ability injure the killer. To make it worth it.
I dont get why you are trying so hard to prove that these perks are apparently op while they clearly aren't.
Saying they're not bad perks doesn't mean they're OP. I'm also saying you don't need to throw the game (which is the main topic of this post that you made mind you) just to get value out of the perks.
-
@Jejune said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3416646#Comment_3416646
I dont have to be injured to get value out of Bite the bullet. I can heal others, but even then perk doesnt prevent the injury. Idk what MMR you are playing at where no survivors get injured.
How can purposefully let my teamates get hooked. If I get hooked others get some value, even if I get tunnel it provides value.
No, but i literally mentioned why unbreakable is way stronger than BR or DH. Even If I get picked right away, because of increased recovery speed I get more survival points. So it creates value even in the worst scenario.
Worst case scenario BR and DH create 0 value, even Aces perk that increases luck has more value than these perks since I have higher chance of Kobe'ing
Exactly, you are getting value from these perks without having to go out of your way to get said value
Same applies to Blood Rush and Dead Hard. They have powerful effects (Blood Rush is admitedly more niche) but no one is jumping in front of the killer purposefully just to activate them. In fact you can't get value out of them if the killer ends up tunneling

Right now:
Sprint burst, Bond, Kindred and Bite the bullet with medkit (without medkit i might swap bite the bullet for botany knowledge or anything for that matter, alert is also good or self aware [rarely unbreakable if i get slugged alot])
Do you purposefully injure yourself just so you can get Bite the Bullet value?
Do you purposefully let yourself get hooked and let your teammates get hooked just to get Kindred value?
In the off chance you run Unbreakable, do you purposefully go down just to get value out of it?

I dont use them so it's not my problem to deal with
Neither does anyone purposefully kill themselves to activate these perks

I would like to contradict you but I don't know if moderators would take "I disagree" with a personal attack on your person.
So yeah I agree, let's nerf all Killers movement speed by 50% and remove Nurse/Blight/SM/Knight/Wesker/Nemesis/Huntress/Leatherface/Pig/Plague/Legion from the game.
Also buff Adrenaline so that everytime you get unhooked, it gives you 1 more health state.
another person added to my list of gameplay id love to see

Yknow Im curious, are you just losing 99% of your matches instead?
-
Generic toxicity like that wont get you banned in basically any game.
Now throw in a slur or death threats into the mix, and thats a different story
-
This feature reminds me a lot of when they were testing closing the hatch.
First PTB we ever got of that was literally just close the hatch and that was it. The remaining Survivor(s) still had to repair gens to power the gate. Later they expanded on this in another PTB and made it so the gates would be powered once the hatch was closed. Then the mechanic seemed like it was scrapped and forgotten, until roughly a year later where they announced the Endgame Collapse.
I have a feeling were going to be testing a 2nd iteration of this mechanic either this next chapter, or its mid chapter. I just hope I can get my artistic mori's done before then, its just hard to find people to do it since they take so much time
-
Annoying, and its exactly what I predicted would happen.
I just hope people realize its still a strong perk and start running it again because SB, Lithe and Balanced are all just annoying as hell to face
-
Ive been using Bitter Murmur a bit more recently and havent had any issues with it
One thing I havent seen mentioned yet though and I have a feeling is the actual culprit is Off the Record, which is fairly popular nowadays
-
By unequiping it and running Bamboozle or Crowd Control instead!
All jokes aside, it definitely isnt the strongest perk and is fairly map dependant. How ever when ran with the right perks it can be alright.
STBFL, Tinkerer and Blood Favor would pair fairly well with it, al though youre using all your perk slots just to make that one perk work. That being said its not like any of these perks are terrible.
