I play it
I dont let it play me

make it base kit

well you see they both contain the letter A
-
No, I like the challenge.
-
why would you want to make an already GUTTED, BOTTOM TIER KILLER EVEN WEAKER?? god, these survivor mains smh my head /s
yeah idk they probably forgor lol
-
finally, a balanced game
-
A killer that could crawl on walls would be interesting
I have a few things to say about the changes
The Dead Hard one is pretty good, Id go as far as making it 2.5 seconds of not being able to do any action (like Docs shock).
That "Hold W Meta Fix" just incentivises more and just kills looping
Killer hitboxes are fine the way they are, this would just be an unnecessary change
Some maps absolutely need their size reduced, and honestly I thought they got the hint way back when they reworked a good portion of the maps, but then they released RCPD and Eerie of Crows.
-
All these killers already deal with pallets pretty well, it just seems like an unnecessary buff that makes them more annoying to go against
-
Well then, it confirms it
The moment DbD adds guns, its just a Fortnite rip off

Let me ask you a question, how long do you think it takes a Non S tier M1 killer to find + hit + hit + carry to hook vs good players at the start of the game? When every resource is available on the first chase. If you guessed 60-80 seconds then hooray! You figured out that that's what usually happens and against good survivors the other 3 have been on gens from the start of the game which means you have 1 hook and survivors are 3/5 gens done or about to be done. Maybe you have pop or scourge hooks and managed to every so slightly save one but survivors are still over 50% of the way done and you as a killer are 8% of the way done.
Now if we pretend every game is required by DBD law to have at least one urban evading/chest rummaging/totem breaking/challenge completing/memeing player then yeah sure, it's not a big deal but against good teams you are just coded to lose if you don't play Blight/Spirit/Nurse and that is terrible design.
If you're takin 60-80 seconds to down that first guy, that is not the games fault. If you see your first guy running towards a good main building or an area with multiple strong pallets, there is nothing stopping you to like.. find some one else...
Also try to identify a 3 gen and maintain it, if you play it correctly you put survivors into a very difficult situation.

Not saying your any of that stuff but I just feel like you should know you would be shocked how fast games can go due to survivor spawns, prove thyself, and multiple people on gens
Just the other day I had a game that ended in 4:30 and ik because I timed it
It was barely enough time to hook everyone once and one person twice
You can already guess that I lost that game
Those kind of games can be really difficult but about 99.99% of games there are multiple opportunities that show themselves that allow you to turn the game around in your favor if its not already, gens going by REALLY fast is usually the killers fault. Some times I record my games and when ever I go up against a pretty solid team that I get destroyed by I make LOADS of mistakes, and they become very apparent when re-watching the game
Every lost should be taken as a learning experience, I myself have 4.5k hours and when ever I lose I don't blame the game, I think about what I could of done better and move on to the next.
-
wait a second...
1 gen takes 80 seconds...
15 + 15 + 15 = 45...
80 = 45..?
5 gens...
5 - 3 = 2...????
its ok I get it, math is hard

whO??
Who said that????

Yes, I invented this word to describe a survivor who camps a killer with a flashlight. The kind who will sit there and stare at you for two minutes waiting for you to pick up the survivor you just downed, even at expense of the gens. I slug people like this, because there's not really another counterplay other than running perks or being able to consistently avoid flashlight beams (I can probably do it 80% of the time, but some survivors are better than others).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700257#Comment_2700257
I used to always run Lightborn, but... man, that's an entire perk slot. I'll run it if I see two or more flashlights in lobby and I have a slot to spare. If I see three or four, it'd be suicidal not to run it. I've noticed I see less flashlights in the lobby past few months; I think a lot of them are properly scared of Lightborn at this point...

This might not have been the greatest, most talented, most skilled SWF to have ever played the game in its history. It seems really important to you to hear me say that, so I admit it. They were definitely very practiced, however.
And, in all fairness, you don't get to genrush against my builds. My Legion was Deadlock/Thana/Ruin/Lightborn (last perk is usually Undying) with the Broken and Mangled addons, and it was a small two-story map where they couldn't easily hide from Killer Instinct. I had people scattered across the map looking for Ruin, and when it was done, they were scattered across the map trying to heal themselves/each other or loop me (they say good survivors don't heal against Legion, but they will if Thana is in play, esp with gen regression perks). If Ruin remains in play for any amount of time, those gens ain't getting done.
My main Michael build (who is my main killer) is Dead Rabbit, Vanity Mirror, M&A, Ruin, BBQ (or Surveillance/Deadlock), and Undying (or Lightborn/NOED). No terror radius, regular speed, instant gen regression, can see you through walls. Good luck with those gens, hope you have Spine Chill.
Also, from what I hear, the main reason I'd get the floor wiped with me is that "tourney" games don't allow the use of any reasonable perks or tactics, and most killer builds are basically Spies/Sloppy Butcher/Bitter Murmur/Brutal Strength.
And no, the guy in the endgame chatbox was anally discomforted.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700339#Comment_2700339
Nice. Yeah, Starstruck is the only reason I want Trickster (other than pure completion).

I would imagine that most of us who still play on Stadia use it to play on platforms that DBD doesn't support and switch between Stadia and PC using the cross-progression feature.
I highly recommend it if you want a fun, reliable, usable way to play DBD on mobile (with cross-progression). Can't stand the DBD mobile game, myself.
Stadia's marketing was laughably bad and targeted all the wrong people, but it works well for what it is. Also have CP2077, ESO and the Doom games on there (which I also have on Steam). It's not going anywhere, despite all the negative press.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700745#Comment_2700745
Well, two of them hid in lockers and a snowman, respectably, without any intention of trying to win/further the game, then tauned me in the endgame chat for not being able to (read as: not trying to) find them. They didn't strike me as the model of sportsmanship.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700788#Comment_2700788
Agreed.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700262#Comment_2700262
Am I still a newbie? Been playing for a little over a year and have 1000+ hours. Maybe.
I don't usually get "destroyed" by teams like this anymore, but a solid 4K is a rarity. I can usually manage 2K, and then 1-2 of those usually happen during endgame collapse. But I don't usually outplay them so well in the first half of the game that they go into hiding with two gens left, especially not on Gideon's when Ruin is gone in the first minute.
I have no doubt they were skilled, but also they were probably going into that match with the intention of bullying
Sweaty survivor gameplay is boring af, you minimize the amount of interactions with the killer and do this by making sure gens are being done at all times. Some one on hook? They can hang out till 2nd stage. some one being chased? every one splits up on gens. Some one on the ground? stay on gens.
Watch tourney gameplay, I can assure you they dont swarm the killer looking for flashlight saves and bodyblocks, and if they do that team likely has very little experience in comp dbd and doesnt know what theyre doing

As I said in the OP, I know it doesn't matter to some people. If a thread isn't your cup of tea, feel free to keep scrolling. There are plenty of other places on this great wide internet where you can spend your time. I feel good about myself right now, and I feel justified in posting about that.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700187#Comment_2700187
Constantly going for flashlight saves and taking protection hits, instantly destroying hexes, swarming me when carrying survivors, teaming up for unhooks, running towards me with a flashlight every time I got a down, favorable map offerings and good flashlight addons, looping, trying to wait me out and bait me away from the gens after they four-genned themselves... more than sweaty enough for my taste. Their goal was to win, not to have fun, and I met them at their level and succeeded. It was a triumph.
I wouldn't have won if I hadn't run Lightborn. I caught them by surprise a number of times.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700192#Comment_2700192
Nothing. Just like there's nothing wrong with facecamping, tunneling, and slugging. Different people play the game different ways.
This thread isn't about condemning those people for being who they are, it's about me patting myself on the back for beating their asses when the odds were against me. I don't usually win when I play against people like that.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700172#Comment_2700172
Actually, I play on PC as well, but Stadia was what got me into DBD. It was free for subscribers a while back, so I played it and loved it. Bought some DLC and became addicted.
I ended up cancelling my Stadia subscription and bought the game on Steam, then ran out of hard drive space, deleted it, and bought the game on Stadia (so no need for subscription - I only use Stadia for DBD and CP2077, anyhow) until I get a bigger hard drive.
Note that Stadia isn't very playable on Windows (don't know if it's all the telemetry in the background or what; constant glitching), but it works well on Linux, mobile, and Chromecast.
DBD is going to support Linux at some point, as confirmed by BHVR, but it's worth it for playing on mobile if you have a controller. There's a slight (0.1 secondish) input lag, but it's still more playable than the DBD mobile game. And there's cross-progression.
The only thing I see here that indicates them being sweaty, is them breaking a 4 gen.
An actual tourney squad would probably wipe the floor with you, since they do everything in their power to maximize gen efficiency. And Im afraid to tell you that going for flashlight saves, clicking, tbagging and swarming hooks aint being efficient on gens
That group was likely dying of laughter till the very end

we must stop them at once!

If I may, that can actually backfire as well. Let me tell you, losing a gen before you've even started your first chase because you guessed wrong on where literally all the survivors spawned is not a good feeling.
It's not a good feeling but its still a better situation than having all 4 survivors start on 4 separate gens

Annoying =/= OP

In the adventures in the fog... I have only found a measly 4...
legend has it... this is the 5th stadia player..

Flashlight, tbagging, etc. Is not sweaty
Sweaty is doing everything in your power to win, that would mean bringing the best stuff and using the best strategies
These arent it chief, thats just your generic bully squad
-
For Honor
Warmonger would probably be the best fit, since her Corruption could be played around with and has quite a bit of potential.
We also know the For Honor devs are likely gonna be very lenient since their whole Halloween Event this year was DbD themed, whole game mode, mask outfits, event battle pass and more

You weren't used to see that much of a Killer before. And I noticed it especially on Myers, now you can see his right arm and before you couldn't.
Maybe my Monitor & Abuse works in the lobby now?
They increased the FOV, pretty sure this was meant to be the fix for killers appearing too far to the right of the screen, (this was apparent with Trickster, his wink wasnt showing up since his left eye was being blocked)
But some how they messed it up, honestly I don't mind it

I mean tbf these last few patches have actually been pretty good in terms of bugs and balance
Boons are pretty good for the game, its just their current itterations are a bit overtuned, mainly the range. I would lower it to 16m and make it only work on the same floor, this way you cant have a Boon at the top of Library covering a VERY large portion of the map and being very hard to access as the killer. Circle of Healing isnt strong it self, it just highlights how broken healing really can be. Nerf healing and CoH takes a hit.

Yeah. but think about it: holiday season and many people at BHVR aren’t working between Christmas and New Years. It’s really more reasonable to expect the PTB in January. I think past years show the same when we also already had the every 3 months a new chapter pattern..
thinking about it, yeah you're right.
Lets take the examples from 2019-2020. Oni released on December 3rd and Deathslinger released March 10th, well over 3 months.
The next year after, Twins December 1st and Trickster March 30th. An even bigger gap
If they followed the same 3 months rule we would be getting a chapter in February
-
@Mooks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2695364#Comment_2695364
I wouldnt expect a dev update or the PTB before the holidays tbh. It’s more likely to come at beginning of January
I mean think about it, we get a chapter every 3 months, and a midchapter inbetween, which is 6 weeks after a chapter release. PTB's usually show up 2-3 weeks before actual launch.
Next week will be the 3 week mark, the week after is the 2 week mark
-
I stopped taking this seriously as soon as I read the title
Sure Artist is strong, roughly the same strength if not a tad bit stronger than Huntress. But Nurse? Artist throws birds through walls, Nurse throws herself through walls, and even doing a double blink she has a second longer cooldown than Artist throwing 1 bird.
Also quick tip: she slows down quite a bit when throwing a bird, or even placing them. Once you see her setting up at a loop there is nothing stopping you from running to the next loop
-
We're probably gonna get a Dev update pretty soon, I could be mistaken but I believe we should get a PTB either next week or the week after.
-
This achievement right here, is probably the hardest and most tedious one I've ever done
"But Shroompy! That one is easy!"
You're right! This is probably one of the easiest achievements out there! How ever I want you to pay attention to the date... realize that? This is when Old Legion was still a thing, and well, this achievement was a bit different. If you don't know how Legion used to be prior to their "rework", go read up on that and come back
Essentially, you needed to apply Deep Wounds to a Survivor, then you needed to Apply Deep Wounds to another Survivor, then you needed to go back to the first Survivor you stabbed and down them, all in one use of Frenzy
I went at this achievement as soon as I got a build on Legion, which was about a week after release since I rushed his P3 (He's my 7th killer I ever got to P3!)
I'll never forget the relief I felt when I finally completed it... I was so happy...
-

Any wall taller than waist-high. You can even use waist-high walls by crouching. His power goes away at the rate of 1 knife per 15 seconds, so any time you turn around a corner, he's losing a knife.
I think you're a bit confused
His knives start decaying if the survivor hasn't been hit for 15 seconds, then laceration decays at roughly 0.3/s if they're running and 0.4/s if they're walking/standing still
-
Listen out for when ever she grunts, when she grunts it means she's readying up a Hatchet
Don't throw down pallets or go through windows all willy nilly, as she can throw hatchets over them netting her a hit.
Keep in mind that The Huntress is a bit slower than normal, meaning you can run around loops for longer compared to your standard killer
She moves even slower when readying up and putting away a hatchet, this might net you a bit more distance.
Try to have cover available as much as you can, The Huntress thrives in open areas.
She only has a limited amount of hatchets, 5 to be exact (can be increased with add ons, up to a maximum of 8) try to keep in mind how many she has while being chased.
Thats all I can think of for now, might add on if I think of something later :)
