Never thought about it to be honest.
I think if they ever worked out a way to get Robert Englund Freddy as a legendary skin it would be AMAZING to hear him voice some of his classic lines when you're using that skin.
Or a legendary skin of the Killer from the actual Scream movies, the outfit looks slightly different in each movie so there'd be no issue in coming up with something new. Then we could get Roger Labon Jackson to voice Scream and some of those lines
Hell, get Joe Keery to voice over steve and give Steve voice lines Jesus please fix that man's voice BHVR, do Steve a solid for the sake of a quality product.
Anyway I'm noticing a trend in my own responses, which is that voice lines seem like a thing for Licensed Characters more than original ones. I mean sure Plague, but I feel like that's more to emphasize the fact that she's really old from a bygone age and speaks a dead language that no one can understand than anything else.

Literally just curious, because a friend of mine basically quit the game because he believes that Pyramid Head is unbeatable in his current state (as in he is fast and his ranged attack makes him difficult to try to stun and run) and that survivors didn't get any sort of compensation, and I'm trying to convince him to come back to the game. I'm hoping that someone can give me something that I can use to convince him to come back.
Let your friend know Decisive Strike hasn't been nerfed (yet).

If you cannot discuss on a decent level, then dont discuss. You are implying I think that pre-Nerf DS was balanced... Thats stupid. If you are open for a serious discussion, I will discuss. But not if you are trying that Strawman-Bullshit.
Oh come now, I would never imply that.
I am however, saying that Decisive Strike has been a problem ever since it was released in 2016, in some form or another. Let that sink in, this perk that has been in the game almost as long as the base game itself has been around has been complained about.
The reason for that being, after the rework, survivors had to become inventive and innovative finding new ways to use it and to their credit have impressively figured out how to absolutely milk it to its maximum potential. Decisive Strike by itself facilitates egregiously aggressive and / or stupid plays - to be bold in ways survivors normally wouldn't be, make mistakes that they wouldn't have been so careless to make otherwise, and completely get away with it. Especially when multiple survivors are running the perk, and especially in conjunction with other 2nd chance perks like Unbreakable, Adrenaline, etc. which aren't problems themselves until they are
On that note, I find it hilarious that when Pyramid Head comes out with a concrete counter, all of a sudden Pyramid Head is the problem. It's the cage of atonement that's not even a month old that's the issue here. Certainly it couldn't be the perk that's older than 80% of all other content in the game (most of which, has not been receiving complaints about being unbalanced or broken) and that has been receiving complaints in every incarnation it has existed in for that entire time.
Please. That's like telling an alcoholic who has been suffering from chronic alcoholism for four years to tone back on all the junk food he's been eating in the past week. Sorry, but no, that's no the problem in the balance at stake here.
To relate this back to the thread itself, I don't know about the rest of my fellow killers out there but I'd be more than willing to let Memento Mori's be nerfed as long as DS gets nerfed along with it much like what @ThisGuuy83 suggested. I can't speak for every killer out there, but I know for myself I hardly use them to begin with so I honestly would barely notice.
On the flip side though I have a very sneaking suspicion that many survivors would have a much harder time parting with their dearly addictive Decisive Strike. Which I know for a fact, many, many, many of them use. As someone who plays survivor myself I refuse to use DS because it's so disgusting, so I myself wouldn't mind, but then again, that's why they call it meta no?
I don't know about you but I've never heard mori's called meta. And that's the difference here, one imbalance is frequently seen and frequently abused, the other: not so much. Or at the very least, not to the scale of the former.

Ok, first a locker, now its a Gen... Again, lunge at them. If I manage to do that, you can too, I believe!
But well, I almost never get hit by DS. Only in Endgame (which is Bullshit, I agree) or when I want to get hit by DS. So I guess you are indeed tunneling.
And well, DS is not an Anti-Tunnel Perk. But try to get your tunneling playstyle by pretending it is, even tho the Devs confirmed it is not.
No, I maintained some pretty clear continuity there. Classic case of a survivor ignoring my presence as if I was a harmless teddy bear skipping along, while they work on a generator under the safety of a DS timer and as soon as they spot me heading over there they pop right into a locker.
Remind me again, where's the killer counterplay in that? Should I stand outside the locker and wait for the timer to run out? Is that what you were suggesting?
And oh, I never realized I'm the one who's in the wrong, because this guy he almost never gets hit by DS! Not tunneling, man, why didn't I think of that one... God if only I had heard this guy say this sooner: "I almost never get hit by DS, therefore the community is wrong in being outraged and everybody who has ever played killer and been hit by DS is tunneling and I am the completely innocent white knight!" I could have saved so much time!! Well, bravo my good man bravo.
Take a bow, please, we're all applauding you. Everyone else who has ever complained about DS in the past almost four years ever since it was first released in 2016 was wrong, and you are right. It's completely balanced and completely fair and the controversies surrounding it for the past 4 years only come from thick headed buffoons like myself. /s

I think you have some problems when writing stuff like this.
But regarding DS - dont go after them in the first place? I know, its hard... For Killers to not tunnel. We already know how terrible the Hook Play is in DBD. And that Killers will take the opportunity if there is no Obsession.
Oh really?
Well that's rich. Considering that survivor is probably working on a generator well within my terror radius, and I'm what, not allowed to go after them? Do I just let them finish it? In fact why don't I just open the door for them to let them out while I'm at it.
Or maybe: they're making an unsafe unhook, and the person they're unhooking ALSO has DS? What exactly would you recommend I do? Let them both go?
See, I don't know if you know this, but Decisive Strike has the uncanny ability to allow survivors to get away with an insane amount of bullsh*t under the guise that it's an "anti-tunneling perk" but let's be real here, we all know it's not. So cut the crap.

Absolutely disgusting.

And I say that full well knowing and admitting that I've never tried them before. But I assume they're bloody awful, and no one has yet tried to change my mind about it.

I'm convinced that parts of the community are actively trying to slowly turn Dead By Daylight into some kind virtual strip club.

Jane Romero / Kate Denson in some equally lewd attire?
C'mon. We all know what's going on here...

Funnily enough, they can.
Funnily enough, survivors can counter killers counters.
Ever heard of a locker?
God if I could I would stab the neck of every survivor who pulled that sh*t on me and watch them gag on their own blood inside that stupid red box.
Violent, sure, but this is Dead By Daylight we're talking about- and that would be entirely warranted.

He's from the first Silent Hill movie.
But, simply put, no. Why would they make 2 Silent Hill chapters, and even if they did, why would they add one of the lesser known monsters from the series?
Oh that's why, I only did research on the first three Silent Hill games and watched all their cutscenes but I never paid any attention to the movies.
I heard they were terrible anyway.

Who?

Unpopular opinion: this was toxic.
But only because it infringes on one of my own self-imposed rules: Feigning like you're farming but only doing it to get survivors to trust you for an easy 4k is not only a sh*tty thing to do, it's one of the most toxic things you can do as a killer.
At that point better to just farm and let everyone in the lobby benefit by getting BP instead of being scummy. I don't understand the thought process here from Killer POV because it's possible for even the killer in this situation to not get a pip because you weren't doing anything and all of a sudden everyone is dead or dying in one action. The game doesn't reward that, that's not normal gameplay so it's obviously not accounted for.
So not only are you hardly getting BP as killer you're probably not advancing your rank either. You're in essence hurting yourself, just as much as you are hurting the survivors. That's worthless and a waste of time for everybody.
Especially since Killer queue times are the longest (at higher ranks) so you're also the one who's going to be waiting the most out of everybody in that previous lobby to get into your next game. In that sense you're hurting yourself more than you are the survivors, they'll be in their next game in less than 5 minutes while you can be waiting upwards of 10.

My prediction: Fix on Tuesday, extention of the event for one week.
This would be nice, people asking for straight up BP compensation is a bit much to ask for, but an extension of the event itself seems reasonable.

The price of the Lisa Garland skin is $15 and the price of many other top skins is $10. Why do cosmetics cost so much?
Seriously, skins in DBD cost as much as a pie of pizza in my area. At least with the pizza, I won't regret my purchase.
But maybe I'm too selfish, right? Maybe I failed to realize that the DBD community is full of rich members that can afford these skins, ontop of all the DLCs if they want to enjoy the full game.
I just want a nice skin for my claudette, but I don't want to pay so much for something like that.
I have spent a RIDICULOUS amount of time grinding for cosmetics. As an Ace main I can tell you that I've bought almost every single Ace cosmetic I can with irdescent shards, including the common default re-skins that are just different colors, which are actually pretty handy to have on hand customization wise.
I'm only missing The High Roller from the Smoking Jacket Collection (The Tomcat from the same collection was one of the first premium cosmetics I grinded for, so I have had that for a long time already) which is 21600 shards. I'm at some 19,000 something.
After that, I'll finally have every possible Ace cosmetic you could possibly get for free, including Pilot Ace which is one of my favorites. He has some 4 cosmetics that can only be bought with Auric Cells, but I can live without them although the Classy Charlatan I'm definitely gonna end up buying down the line. After this I can finally work on grinding for some cosmetics for killer and I've already started plotting my route for what I'm grinding for, starting with the Deathslinger, moving on to Clown, then Oni, after that Trapper, Wraith and / or Doc after that, and then I finally want to get Joey and Susie so I can actually have all 4 members of the Legion (even if I don't play them at all, probably making it a huge waste of shards).
This is my philosophy: if you can buy it with iridescent shards NEVER buy it (with actual money), because at some point down the line after you've played long enough you'll have the shards necessary to have gotten it for free. Only ever buy the stuff that you can only get with auric cells, most likely stuff for licensed characters you enjoy playing, like Cheryl if you're a fan of Silent Hill.
Never use your shards for anything other than cosmetics. I know a lot of people like to spend their shards on teachables they already own so they get bloodpoints but that is an absolute waste. Considering how long it takes for you to get iridescent shards and how quick you can farm bloodpoints especially with offerings like Bloody Party Streamers, Survivor Pudding, X2 Bloodpoint events that are held sporadically throughout the year, and the anniversary event that we are in the middle of right now which always gives out an even better BP Bonus offering - this time the Ghastly Gateau.
You can always mega grind bloodpoints with perks and offerings, but there is nothing you can do to speed up your iridescent shard gain, so never waste your shards on buying old previously owned teachables that's worthless. It's not worth even it to get new teachables you don't have yet when you can just get the teachables by investing BP in those characters in the first place, (unless you don't have those characters at all, in which case I would recommend you buy them because the shrine is finicky on what perks actually show up and there's no guarantee you'll get the 3 teachables of a character. But that's your decision).

Uh, the best event that Dead By Daylight ever saw? 2018's Hallowed Blight obviously! Why wasn't this listed???
If you're telling me it wasn't listed because "the withering blight was the follow up and most recent event ehmehemehmeh" NO. The Withering Blight SUCKED. It was hardly an event at all and stripped everything from its predecessor that made the entire Hallowed Blight Unique, Fun, Interesting, Mysterious, and creepy and spooky and everything a halloween event should have been, it was outstanding.
You know what the withering blight was? WITHERED PUMPKINS ON GENERATORS. And sub-par lore that didn't hold a candle to the Hallowed Blight's story tossed into the new archives. That's IT. There is absolutely no significant difference to separate the Withering Blight from some of Dead By Daylight's most boring events: The Scorching Summer BBQ event, and the Howling Grounds Lunar New Year Event.
I refer you to my one year old poll which I wrote at the time shortly after the Withering Blight went live in November of 2019 (because as you might remember, the withering blight was delayed):
@Seiko300 said:
I'm coming out and saying it, the Withering Blight is absolute garbage in comparison to the Hallowed Blight. On its own, for those who never played the Hallowed blight it might still be a grand time, but in comparison in sorely lags behind in multiple categories when set side by side with its predecessor. (Vote in the poll below)
Foreword
(I realize this thread became way too long about halfway through, so I'm putting a TL;DR at the bottom for those who don't want to read my terribly long rant)
I'm not mad at the devs, they reacted and responded accordingly to the feedback that the community (for the most part) gave from the event last year.
However, it's important to keep in mind that sometimes, the feedback the community gives, is absolute #########.
The faults people point out in last years event, were over-exaggerated and not actually all that bad
I get that it kinda sucked the first few days when there were a decent chunk of survivors just killing themselves to maximize serum gain, but once you stopped taking the game seriously and just had fun with the event it really wasn't all that bad if at all. As a killer you basically get free points, free pips nobody as a killer should be complaining because it's not like this was everybody and it's not like it was every match either so you still got to play relatively normal games as killer.
As a survivor, all you had to do was switch your build to something much more self-serving to keep yourself alive. I was running the previous incarnation of Left Behind which granted increased generator repair speeds when everyone else was dead, and without a hatch closing mechanic in place at the time all I had to do was repair one or two generators to get the hatch to appear when I was the last one standing. With self-care to make sure I could take a hit, these were pretty easy victories too.
But people got so goddamn uptight because they what, couldn't continue the same monotonous routine of repairing generators like they do literally all times for the rest of the year??? The game is fun don't get me wrong, but these events are here for a reason, to switch things up every once in awhile, keep that blood pumping.
There was no change for the event this year
NOW we basically don't even have an event. Gameplay is absolutely normal, nothing has changed, even the aesthetic of the event is about on par with some of the most boring events we've had like the summer BBQ, or the earlier lunar new year events. At least for the Moonrise event we had an interesting capture the flag type of deal going on where survivors were essentially playing their best to survive with a lantern.
The atmosphere for the event had been completely stripped away
There's nothing to look forward to, there's no vial being slowly filled with serum as I milk the oozing amber substance from the visceral cankers. The cankers added so much more than just a second objective, they added atmosphere. Something that most definitely the Withering blight lacks, without the visceral cankers scattered growing throughout the maps I can hardly tell an event is going on in the first place. We have tiny pumpkins on top of generators and on the ground next to the hook, nothing spurting, nothing oozing, no gross factor nothing. Even the main menu / lobby looks and feels barren, a few pumpkins with the sad husk of what used to be these pumping, pulsing, visceral cankers. Even the music seems toned down, I can hardly hear it at all much less so now that we have unique themes that play when certain killers are selected like the Clown, Legion, Demogorgon, Myers, etc. I can more than confidently say that the halloween menu's from the past two years were better even all the way back to 2017 for those who can remember All Hallows Eve before the Hallowed Blight came into being.
The diary entries left people with a reason to come back each day, and created a well written and interesting story which provided new revelations regarding lore
The new diary entries that were released once every single day during the Hallowed Blight were also genius, interspersed with the landmarks that were the animatics it gave something to look forward to each and every single day. I get that now we have the archives which by themselves are great, an amazing new step in telling the story of DBD but the story from the book "The Hunger" just wasn't up to par like last year it was just filled with how confusing the character felt each time and that was it. No purpose, no "obsessively deciphering Vigo's journal." to discover the horrifying properties of the "putrid nectar - the thick fluid I saw oozing from the trees.". The animatic this year was great, seeing what I can only interpret as the void where all the hopeless souls of past survivors in the chaos of the realm of the entity was amazing. But one good animatic does not an event make.
The cosmetics this year just don't hold a candle to last years
Even the cosmetics this year, I can still appreciate them and the effort put into them and how cool they look, but honestly I liked last years cosmetics better, comparing each one back and forth if they were sold as DLC packs you know for sure the former would sell better. The only one I really liked from this year was the Clown, but it sucks because my appreciation for the cosmetic is halted by the fact that the Clown, ngl, is kind of a terrible killer who needs a rework, an update, a tweak, something, anything. Aside from the Clown it was also great that they were finally able to revisit and renegotiate terms with the license holder for Halloween to get new cosmetics for Michael Myers and Laurie Strode.
Overall, I'm not mad, just disappointed. Halloween should be the best most interesting time of the year for Dead by Daylight and the devs totally dropped the ball caving into the demands of the community and taking away the one feature that made the whole event unique, and distinct.
TL;DR
-The community sometimes gives bad feedback leading the devs to make bad choices like getting rid of the visceral canker.
-The visceral canker added so much more than just a secondary objective, it provided atmosphere for the event, really letting you know that something was off in the realm of the entity. Taking this key and crucial feature away from the event took away the one thing that made it unique, distinctive, and fun.
-The removal of the only change in gameplay (the visceral cankers) left the community with nothing but normal gameplay, which we can already experience most 80% of the 365 days of the year. Events are meant to shake things up and change things slightly, along with the last years Hallowed Blight, the Moonrise event was also a perfect example of how the devs were able to accomplish this.
-The Menu is so much less festive in comparison to last years hallowed blight, and the year prior's All Hallows Eve. All there is left are a few pumpkins and the sad husk of what used to be a pumping, pulsing, creepy visceral canker. Even the music seems to be toned down in the menu especially in the killer character selection screen where we see more and more killers have unique themes applied to them when selected (The Clown, The Legion, The Shape, The Demogorgon, etc.) the spooky event theme should always take priority during an event
-The Diary Entries released every single day from last year gave something to look forward to, and a reason to play each and every single day. It gave you enough information but left you with something new to leave you in suspense the same way a TV show keeps you coming for another episode.
63 total votes. 57 of them all agreed that the hallowed blight was better, 3 said they weren't sure, and only 3 people or 4% of respondents said the withering blight was better. An almost unanimous vote.
The absolute mess that was the Withering Blight still pisses me off to this day.
All because the community clearly and blatantly over-exaggerated the issues and faults that the Hallowed Blight suffered from, pushing the devs into a corner to respond, and they did, by massacring the best event we had ever seen at the time and would ever see for years to come. The only thing that comes close was the Lunar New Year Moonrise event of 2019
The Hallowed Blight was an incredible event. It changed the entire pace and atmosphere of the game, introducing a highly sought after secondary objective which forced survivors to juggle a kind of balancing act between doing generators, and milking visceral cankers. The Menu itself was completely overhauled festively decorated for the holiday and according to the new lore introduced, the music pushed forward that atmosphere with a slow, quiet, and creepy track which heavily contrasted the louder original Dead By Daylight theme. Each day new diary entries from an unknown character "The Alchemist" deepened the mystery and gave players something interesting to look forward to- a reason to log in and play each and every day of the event.
Hallowed Blight 2018:
Withering Blight 2019:
This was literally the only screenshot I could find. Clearly people were so excited and in awe of the menu design they forgot to take screenshots. And lemme tell ya, Ghostface, does not look happy that he was a year too late and couldn't experience the hallowed blight.
Honestly I could copy and paste everything from that thread from last year and it would still stand as valid points today. I actually encourage people to read what I wrote and what people thought about it at the time. For the rest of you I will copy and paste my concluding TL;DR statements for people to read:
"The visceral canker added so much more than just a secondary objective, it provided atmosphere for the event, really letting you know that something was off in the realm of the entity. Taking this key and crucial feature away from the event took away the one thing that made it unique, distinctive, and fun.

I really hope they do better this year for 2020.

No votes for the Invisble Man? Ya'll straight capping
On a serious note though, it was a hard choice between Dracula and the Werewolf. I almost don't want the Werewolf to come in though, at least until we see Pennywise because I've always had this cool idea in my head that Pennywise's M1 would be his normal white gloved hand transforming into a werewolf claw during the lunge animation (like he does in the movie)
Click to view the GIFAlso I just think Dracula would be easier to model and animate than a Werewolf, plus there's a lot more ability variety you could do for Dracula as well. Some variation of Superhuman speed, turning into a cloud of mist / darkness, Shapeshifting into a bat for a brief duration, Superhuman Strength, Hypnotism, there's a lot that could go in there

oooooooo I never thought about that. Close second or third pick right there

I don't see why the other 3 are remotely necessary, I'm all for the idea of gifting auric cells, especially now with DBD moving forward toward cross play not all of your friends might be on the same platform so it's not like I can gift steam money to PS4 or vice versa.
But that's a very simple thing to introduce, what you're basically suggesting with the other 3 is an entire community market, which would not only take a super long time to develop and potentially undercut the in-game store, but just in general I don't think it would work for Dead By Daylight. Not the kind of game that seems very compatible with trading, especially with the existence of event exclusives, rift exclusives, etc.
Too much effort for too much stuff that could go wrong or just not work. So a no on everything else except the idea of gifting cells, that's a fine idea on it's own.

If they could find a way to make it work, I'd be all for it.
I always thought that they should incorporate multiple different kinds of heights to address Chucky's issue but just as a general gameplay mechanic. For a game that prides itself on being asymmetrical, having only 2 available heights for all your killers "Average" or "Tall" feels extremely limiting.
Which is why I say they should broaden that scope much further and add two extra heights and make all of them a range or spectrum that characters would fall on. Not just 2 static heights that make up "tall and average" but 4:
Short, Average, Tall, Towering.
Each encompasses a range, say average is anybody within 5-6ft tall, tall is anything from 6-7, and Towering is anything or anyone that's 7+ feet while short can be anybody that's under 5 feet tall.
This makes the game and subsequent gameplay far more dynamic in which killer you select and it also broadens the scope widely with the kinds of characters BHVR can create. Not just chucky, but beyond - think of an original creepy child killer, or future licenses make the Xenomorph much taller than anybody else, or literally anything else.
You could also tweak the heights of existing killers to accommodate this change, for example when the teaser trailer revealing the Oni first came out I and a few other people were a little bit confused. The trailer makes him look huge but in game he's about the same size as everybody else. The Oni would be the perfect example of a character that would be "Towering":

Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred | I would imagine they all had the same perks as 1 like the legion is 4 killers in 1
I think this idea is really fun and to be fair, Scooby doo is a cartoon but the aspect of it is scary. Chasing down monsters and trying to solve clues.
Maybe the killer could be the ghost or the villians from the movies. I WOULD PAY £100 JUST FOR THIS PACK!!
Yeeeeaaaaah, no, it's definitely advertised as a kids show. What's scary to kids, the creepy music, the dreary settings and dark colors, with a spooky translucent ghost or pirate ghost (I'm thinking of the original Scooby Doo cartoon, not the brighter stuff that came later or the 3D movie) does not translate to legitimate horror for teens and adults like having a chainsaw driven through your chest or back, or your tongue ripped out of your mouth and being beaten to death with a club that has spikes on it, that kind of thing.
Cool, funny, and nostalgic for us, probably really bad PR for BHVR.
-
People will vouch for Demogorgon to death on the forums and in conversation, but in practice I hardly see any Demogorgon's at all these days. When it comes to Demogorgon it's all bark and no bite, I must have seen less than 5 in the last few months, they are practically an extinct species.
Which is crazy to think about because for the longest time he was touted as one of the most balanced killers on release, with enough strengths to make him viable in high ranks but plenty of counters to make him fair to play against. And it's not like he's changed significantly since then, if at all.
Hell, I see LEGION more often than I see Demogorgon, and that's a telling sign that something isn't right that either says something about: 1. Legion is not as universally hated as everyone says he is and everyone exaggerates this bit, or 2. Demogorgon is in a REALLY bad spot to be played less than Legion (from my perspective [as a survivor in red ranks and as a killer who doesn't play him])
-
I almost went with Scrappy Doo, ngl.
As a meme: Yes, you can't say no to Shaggy and the OG Mystery Gang.
As an actual suggestion: no, I could see this going south so fast with BHVR getting some real bad press from parents who go all: "I got this game for my son because some of his favorite Scooby Doo characters in the game and now he is having nightmares about deformed maniacs with Chainsaws, creepy killers with knives in white masks, a killer clown, ghosts, A man with a Pyramid for a head with a giant knife, oh God! It's horrible!! Why is this being advertised to kids??!"

I've been playing a good while. Maybe like a year on PC and over a year on PS4. Just don't usually see hate on PS4. I've only had messages like that maybe 3 times on PS4. All on DBD,lol. On PC I would see stuff all the time. I was playing like a month or two after launch.
Same~ I started in July 2016 (PC only)
If you've been playing for that long you should know the answer by now then. It is what it is.

I don't think it's weird to want stories to have a modicum of originality and I didn't see anyone bragging.
Well yeah given the context of a story, which you and I already touched on, but the quote you provided "only men are capable of being killers" was a general broad statement. As if that's some kind of stigma or a bad thing
"Killers and murderers need more equality! Why aren't more females taking the lives of other human beings!!"
I don't mean to come off as condescending, but when you widen the scope of what we're talking about that's how it comes off as.

Those would probably be sold as a legendary skin, which we all know are overpriced. Adding new killers who happen to be female is better for us, the consumers, and still avoids the "only men are capable of being killers" cliché we see in most art forms.
Still a weird thing to want or brag about...
...but to each their own.

Welcome to dbd. If after your first year on this you don't have 3 people targeting you for no reason then your not playing the game right lol

It's a regular part of life here in the DBD community. Tensions are high both in and out of the game, you learn to get used to it after awhile

God please no FNAF. Its like a tie in with fortnite, its not a horror game, its a jumpscare game with far to many sequels and a fanbase of.. Lets not.
Outlast could be cool, plausibly.
I personally prefer home made killers, they're the best
This. ^
Fnaf is a recommendation on par with people who want Creepypastas like Slenderman or Jeff The Killer in the game. Much like you said, comparable to a tie with "fortnite".
If we're talking about video game licenses The Keeper from Evil Within seems like a legitimate good idea, Outlast too.
The Keeper:
But of course I'd rather pave the way with stuff we've never seen in video games before, that's the fun of licensed characters from popular movies. So still waiting on the big 3: Pennywise, Pinhead, and Candyman.

I had never thought of this until I saw Otz mention in a video how he prefers T1 Discordance because you get the notifications more often. Makes it easier to tell if they've stayed on the gen or not. Definitely agree this should be reversed from how it is now.
I always thought it was such a ridiculous idea to keep it at tier 1
There are easier ways to make discordance work properly, than all of this hullaballoo about "ThE TiEr 1 VeRsIoN iS bETtEr"
Just make the highlight disappear immediately when there are no longer two survivors working on it, and then reappear immediately when two survivors are again working on the generator. That's all they need to do to put this discordance mess about T1 benefits vs. T3 benefits to rest
-
As far as I know, like any offering, add-on, or item, I don't think there's a maximum capacity to how many you can have in your inventory... they shouldn't work any differently.
At least not that I'm aware of.

Like all the cosmetic awards aside from the crown, an individual piece is earned from logging in on different days here's the schedule:
You should only have the Hat by logging in today, and you won't have the full outfit until July 2nd at the earliest, since that's when the last piece (the torso) drops.
Here's the official post describing it all if you want to have a look-see yourself:
Join us in the fog for the Dead by Daylight: 4th Anniversary Event. This Special Celebration Event introduces tons of surprises for you to discover, including an exclusive, time-limited game mechanic: The Anniversary Crown. -

Naturally. Nobody's stopping anyone from appreciating anything.
Cool. Then by all means let the next original killer be female, whatever makes people happy as long as the character is unique and well developed from a story standpoint, as well as has a good power that is viable and fun to use.
Though I'll still be holding out hope the next chapter is a licensed one. I had myself so hyped up for a licensed property that was absolutely incredible (I definitely made the mistake of overhyping myself) and I was slightly disappointed when it turned out to be Pyramid Head. In retrospect, I'm having a lot of fun playing the character and a lot of people were super happy to see Silent Hill revived through Dead By Daylight... but nonetheless I was left feeling somewhat crestfallen.

Legion is female too
I included Legion in the female list @EverflowingRiver still there in case you missed the name written amongst the other female killers.

And on a personal note, sorry that guys are naturally villains and females are the heroic "final girls" especially in horror slasher? Is... is that something we should be angry about?
Angry about? No, which is why nobody here is angry about it. Aim to change it? Yes, because I think we all like stories that aren't 100% predictable.
Sure. But in the meantime, don't let that stop people from appreciating the good stories and unique characters that we did get in the past, like the licensed ones I mentioned we have yet to see in dead by daylight.

Respectfully, I think you mean "Ash looks like Ash".
Sorry that you're a fan who has somehow managed to live under a Deadite rock and miss out on the grooviest show to ever grace a television screen, but Ash Vs Evil Dead is a 30 mins per episode, 10 episodes per season, 3 season series that pics up 30 years after the original trilogy with more balls to the wall trade-mark over-the-top blood, guts, gore , humor, and SPLAT-stick than you can shake your boomstick at.
Now is the perfect time to binge the entire series. Currently viewable on Netflix
That is one hell of a description my man.
But yeah @killerdog if you've never seen the show it's incredibly badass and a good watch. It's unfortunate we'll never get to see the 4th season and the story will never technically be finished, but it was great while it lasted.
Which also left us with epic (mostly [maybe minor spoilers]) spoiler-free music video / clip compilations like these:

Like... Really? Spirit needs a "bad hair day solution" or no one will be seeing this crown. Jokes aside, I know that is a free event and a free cosmetic, but as most of the community is saying, I would be good if We had like a "slot" to activate the crown in any cosmetic we like.
Just in general I thought the crown was a really weird idea for a 4th anniversary cosmetic...
I get it's supposed to "symbolize" the Entity, but that doesn't change the fact having this thing floating and bouncing behind your head is really... I don't even know how to put it honestly.
*Typing*
Synonyms for weird:
Strange
Unusual
Odd
Bizarre
Abnormal
All of those things, put 'em in a blender, and that's how I find the art teams decision.
The outfits given to Deathslinger and Claudette, they look nice and they make sense. Golden veins patterned on the clothes of the characters reminiscent of the black and gold color palette chosen for the 4th year anniversary it looks good and it's a pretty cool reskin as far as those are concerned.
But a gold floating crown? For all original characters? I think that would have been better as a charm and charms are absolutely useless gimmicks...

The only thing really skewing the male to female ratio for killers is the licensed ones.
^ This is actual facts. And a seriously overlooked comment on this thread.
The only reason that there are more male killers than female killers is because of the licensed killers. If you count up only the original killers male to female it becomes an 8:6 ratio or simplified 4:3.
Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Doc, Clown, Legion, Oni, Deathslinger
Nurse, Hag, Huntress, Spirit, Legion, Plague
Making the disparity in all reality, not that wide
And on a personal note, sorry that guys are naturally villains and females are the heroic "final girls" especially in horror slasher? Is... is that something we should be angry about?
Something like this better not stand in the way of future licensed characters like Pennywise, Pinhead, Candyman, Jason etc. or I'm gonna lose my sh*t.

How do you explain No Mither as a good perk, it's easily one of the worst in the game if not the worst
and on that note, WGLF? It's good for BP bonus but unlike BBQ & Chili (the killer equivalent) it has no practical purpose.
Dead Hard, undoubtedly his best perk, is also becoming increasingly less popular an exhaustion perk, because it can often be easily countered once the killer knows you're running it. Either by waiting for you to use it, baiting it out, or straight up making a long lunge right after you start the DH animation so the end of the lunge catches you once the invincibility frames are gone.

Even if the devs are right and clown was so underrated he's actually top tier he'd still be boring to play. His power is too simple
This is also true, rebalancing doesn't just mean making him more viable but it also means making him more fun to play as and against. I like the Clown, I love the character, the lore, and I like the core concept of the gas bottles (he even has a cool nickname in the files / lore "The Medicine Man") but even I would be hard-pressed to deny that his gameplay is one dimensional. Which it very much is.
Introducing a secondary ability, such as the Fun-Time Gas Traps that I've mentioned in the past, or reworking the effects of the afterpiece tonic itself would go a long way to making the character more interesting and appealing to players beyond myself and the few others who play him.

In the meantime save your cakes and don't use them so they can be used at a later date when they actually work properly.

I'm a survivor main, and I already have it on 6 characters. It's not that hard. 1 escape compared to 4 kills, it makes no sense. And why would you want killers to camp you or tunnel you hard because they want to get the cosmetic. This event makes perfect sense.
I agree.
In the grand scheme of things, especially compared to older events where you had to grind multiple - dozens of games in a row just to get one cosmetic piece out of a set, this really isn't all that bad.
1 match for each, bare minimum. The fact that's possible at all is a-ok with me.

@NinjaDette1 said:
I wouldn’t get to worked up about it after all the crown is just pixels.
So is everything else in the game, that's not a good point at all.
Virtual economies work exactly the same as physical economies, items have value and the only difference, is that value of whatever you're pining after is determined by what you are willing to do and / or pay for it. Obviously influenced by how rare it is, (supply and demand yadda yadda yadda)
A 300$ knife skin in CSGO is worth 300$ because of how rare it is but also because people say it is. The in-game market on a wide scale determines that this is something that's valuable, that people want, and therefore it's worth what it is.
Now obviously there's no market in Dead By Daylight, but I'm just using it as an example that "the crown is just pixels" is a blatantly incorrect statement, objectively.
The knife in CSGO, much like the crown in DBD, is also pixels. And in an old fashioned "practical" sense both are worthless, but times are changing and in a virtual world connected through the internet that's no longer necessarily true.

Rip. That's how it be though.

Call me out for my Ghostface-main-bias as the reason I put 8 instead of 7, but it's a spectrum and he's objectively about there in that area regardless
