  • Isn't this The King's power concept? Or some other youtuber I swear I saw this exact idea on one of the many DBD content creators channels... Maybe HybridPanda? Can't flippin remember..

Either way while it's a nice thought, it's a bit of a lackluster power. With nothing to help him chase Survivors he wouldn't be able to do too much, I'd say some kind of teleporting to these balloons would be great and fit really well, but unfortunately we already have four killers who teleport in some way shape or form. Two of the four teleport in almost the exact way that I described pennywise would do it (to placeable balloons). I don't think we'll be getting anymore teleporting type killers in the future, at the very least any time soon.

Fortunately Pennywise (much like Freddy) is so diverse in terms of capability, I don't think it would be too hard for the devs to use those creative noggins of theirs to come up with something for him. In light of recent events I do think it's possible Pennywise can find his way into Dead By Daylight, I just am not sure about this specific power.

    It's fun to speculate though

the spirit killed no one either...

I think the answer to this one is actually the vice versa or the exact opposite of the answer I quoted regarding the Plague. The plague had actual good, genuine intentions to cure and save her people, however regardless of her intent (and possibly in small part due to a bit of pride) she ended up spreading the Plague because of her rituals and killing her people.

While the Spirit never killed anyone, she was witness to an absolutely horrific and gruesome murder: that of her mother cut into pieces by her own father. Right before she died she was filled with the most intense rage, an inferno of vengeful emotions directed toward her father for what he had done. Had Rin Yamaoka had the physical strength or capability to exact this revenge on her father then and there, she probably would have, but she didn't. So she called upon higher powers, swearing "she would make him pay, in this life or the next. A dark fog slowly veiled her eyes, but it could not subdue her rage. She would not rest--not yet. The darkness whispered, promising blood and revenge. An oath was made"

It even says so in (potentially) Benedict Baker's description of the spirit:

"She inherited incredible fury from her ancestors. The wrath that flows through her veins is her legacy. The terrible pain she suffered set it off. Swift and lethal, The Spirit exacts her revenge endlessly."

In other words, while the gruesome murder of her mother (and eventually her) may have attracted the Entity's attention, it was the absolute fury of emotions that Rin felt that day which made her the perfect candidate. The perfect person who could be manipulated and directed to kill and commit otherwise horrific acts of violence, all she needed was the power to do it. Which is exactly what the entity gave her.

Think of it like this, because this is how I processed it.

Adiris was deceiving everyone around. While promising to cure everyone, she was spreading more of the illness. While everyone saw her beauty, she was starting to fall into decay. Rather than getting help for herself, she kept going out into public, spreading even more disease. Finally, she led several of her most devoted followers to their deaths.

Whether she was willing or not, her actions are evil. She was so desperate to save others, that she became what she wanted to destroy. And the Entity picked up on this.

That's why I believe she was taken. She was a servant to the gods, and the Entity is godlike in power.

Also, wickedness isn't a prerequisite for Killers. Take Leatherface. He just wanted to protect his family. In fact, the people he killed were done so in self defense. If it wasn't for his cannibalism, I think he might have been let go.

I really like this answer, well written and well phrased. Explains a lot

  • This being said I don't see Legions (myself included) whiff their feral frenzy strikes specifically too often. You just learn to be more careful to not miss

  • I heard somewhere that Steve and Nancy are not voiced by their original TV series actor / actress (Joe Keery and Natalia Dyer). Can you confirm this? If it is true who are the voices behind the characters in Dead By Daylight?

I've been really confused and honestly perplexed by this decision when considering you were able to get Bruce Campbell himself to voice Ash Williams. Could you please shed some light on the situation and explain why they were not able to voice their own characters? It unfortunately takes away from my immersion and experience with the new DLC, seeing these characters look really similar to their real life counterparts, but not sounding anything alike (especially Steve).

I really hope this question gets answered, I really truly am extremely curious.

  • As of right now as far as I am aware and concerned, overall a general consensus is that (after Freddy's rework) the Pig may very possibly be the weakest killer in game after the changes that were made to her with the introduction of the endgame collapse.

Obviously you are in still in the middle of testing and making changes to the new and improved Freddy (who I hope will not be nerfed) but do you have any plans to buff / rework the Pig in the near future?

I agree with all of this said.

    Why thank you

  • Because (if I'm not mistaken) the father death robes that Ghostface originally wears in his films is also a licensed product by fun world, will we ever see this as a wearable cosmetic in game?

  • There was a massive negative response to the changes made to both the Legion and the Pig, will you be reverting any of these changes in response or maybe making future updates to both characters to make them more powerful in aspects that they weren't before?

  • Does the intermittent vomiting from survivors interrupt actions such as generator repair, healing, sabotaging, etc. and if not, can it?

  • Personally, I use the teachables of whatever character I'm playing at the time, the different roles they are supposed to play provide me with a slightly different experience each time. Although there are a few perks that are my go-to's regardless of who I'm playing. Premonition, Iron Will, Urban Evasion, Bond, etc.
