I\m not sure how his addons would pan out, but as far as base kit goes, I really don't want much changed. If you remember ya boi @DudeDelicious and his belief that people just haven't figured out Clown yet, I feel that way about Demo. He runs tiles in a very subtly different way than most M1 Killers that a lot of people haven't grasped, and the placement and usage of portals has been so watered down in its perception that people don't realize what they're capable of. If I could make any basekit changes:

-Increase post-teleport Undetectable duration to 3 seconds

-Make his footsteps quieter so he can actually utilise said Undetectable ability

-Increase portal sealing time to 15 seconds

Couldn’t have stated it better myself. If you play with demo the way you would any other killer it’ll leave a lot to be desired. Demo just needs its own approach, and just isn’t popular enough for many to figure it out. I enjoy playing demo more than any other killer so far, and he’s easily my favorite killer to go against. I’ve vs’d very few really good demos, true, but they were incredibly memorable. A god tier demo is terrifying, it turns what it’s usually an easy out into a stressful match of total uncertainty.

  • With mind gaming and prediction. Similar to pigs lunge, if you broadcast your intention to use it, you’re probably going to just get dodged. Most demos know to fake it to zone their target, less often you see it used regularly, is usually faked. But simple things like charging it up when a los breaker doesn’t make it obvious, or when a survivor goes around a corner at a long wall with a window, you can fake which direction you intend to shed and double back. There’s tons of neat tricks you can pick up. It’s not only useful at pallets and windows like most would have you believe. With practice you can reliably hit ppl out in the open by scanning left and right before committing, similar to ph’s shock wave. I could go on and on, I think demo is more effective than usually given credit.

I am so glad this is just wanting better addons for demo.

I’m happy with his base kit. Ppl think shred sucks, but that’s because it isn’t used correctly most of the time. I’m fine with survivors underestimating it 😃

  • I like the idea but do we really need another stealth killer? He’d definitely end up one.

  • I can finally play again thank you so much.

ooo im so insulted! i just think killers always like to spout about entitled survivors and for you killer mains to expect people especially neutral players who play the game well on both roles should have to suffer because you are lazy and ENTITLED just like a lot of survivors and have to have everything nerfed like crazy just so you can be good at the game when others play the game just fine is stupid and requires nothing but basic effort....

Wasn’t insulting you and why do you assume in a killer main? Lol. Just lol.

woah calm down lol i literally said i agree dcing is bad and dcing against annoying killers is bad, was literally just saying that some killers dont really have counterplay. youre like arguing with something i didnt say

Nah, not targeting you just bouncing off of your point. That’s why I defined who ‘you’ refers to. That rant is purely for ppl who keep dc’ in. Like 1 every match lately

  • @Schinsly said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/178741/if-you-dc-why-even-play

while i agree to some extent dcing is bad

some killers cant really be countered or barely at all

not saying dcing against them should be justified though

The first parts have nothing to do with the second. All are correct. It’s pretty simple: if you intentionally dc and are not bugged in some way or held hostage then you are essentially just a crybaby chump. Take the loss and move on. Dc’ing screws others over, sacrifices your bps, and basically makes you seem like the petty child that you are. There is no valid excuse, and trying to justify your immaturity just underlines your pettiness and those who do it need to quit playing entirely, being at the bottom rung of despicable behavior in a game that already has far too long of a list in that category. Nobody likes those people and nobody will miss them. ‘You’ referencing ppl who dc. Not that I feel strongly about it or anything.

When the killer brings an Ebony Mori, I think the game is already pretty much ruined for everyone... Just sayin'. Not saying it's alright to DC, though. Just suicide on hook if you don't want to continue playing in that game.

You ppl dc when you see a single Mori assuming it’s an ebony. Should killers dc when they see a key? Grow up and take the loss and move on to the next match. Good grief

Who exactly are you talking about? I have watched all the big streamers and I don't see any of the popular ones setting out to be toxic to people. I am genuinely curious, not trying to argue.

Like I said, against rules but you are clearly missing out on some popular options- funny how they’re almost exclusively survivor mains minus the one guy we all know of that gives killers a bad name. Edit: meant to say must’ve been another post, but yeah you can’t ‘name and shame’ on here as I’ve been notified. I think if these people are intentionally jerks and get acclaim for it you should be able to say what you want regardless of their feelings or that of their fans, but rules are rules.

im rank 1 on both and have the same amount of survives and sacrifices. killer is really easy for me and i play fair.

Easy for you does not mean objectively easy. The topic at hand is the inarguably fact that the killer role is more difficult than the survivor one. At least it should be obvious to anyone with good experience in both roles and the capacity for simple math.

Yup, there’s a clown looking in the window. Well, in your case it’s a mirror lol. Don’t have time to be annoyed with snowballing dc bans you never earned, but you got plenty of time to throw shade at people with valid concerns despite getting shut down repeatedly. Cringe.

  • I find her story sad. A victim of circumstance, and it reads like she was trying to be the angel of death, but an agent of mercy. The women killers in this game have some tragic origins. And wraith I suppose.

    Dear people of the fog

We have listened to your feedback about the aura changes and we have taken it on board.

In the upcoming chapter we have new perks for both survivors and killers that makes aura reading much more powerful

    Survivor perk: ESP

Level 1: Slightly increases the intensity of auras

Level 2: Moderately increases the intensity of auras

Level 3: Considerably increases the intensity of auras

    Killer perk: Eyes on you

Every time you hook a survivor aura intensity is increased for 40/50/60 seconds

Wait, so the plans are to waste one of my perk slots just to have the game function correctly? That can’t be right.

  • I love this idea but it would do little to curb toxicity. Let’s be real- the amount of popular streamers on social media setting out to be toxic attracts a certain type of gamer, and this game simply encourages that atmosphere. The toxicity isn’t going anywhere any time soon.

  • Yes it’s been a day. Precisely a day too long. Hopefully only a day but time will tell. I cannot begin to comprehend who saw this in action and said “yes, this is good” before releasing it in not just any update but a mid chapter one. I can only assume they want to watch the world burn. That’s how bad of a misstep was taken here. Fix it. Immediately. With a time machine if possible.

you know its a sweat squad when you see the same thing every hook 2 survivors working on the furthers possible gens with one missing in bbq range ready for the hook.

If you waste time looking for the guy trying to rescue then you lose 2 gens. If you go for one of the gen rushers, the guy on hook gets saved and they double team a gen in 40 seconds and... you lose 2 gens.

Yup. It’s why I love agitation. I’ll carry my victim to the furthest gens to make it harder. It works out in my favor sometimes. Not a lot but enough that I slap it on if I suspect inbound sweat Swfs.

  • The only fun I find in it is locating the weak link and absolutely demolishing them, showing as little mercy as they planned to show me. There’s always a weak link and it’s usually the one carrying the toolbox dressed for immersion. As an added bonus, it’s much easier to take down the team loopers when they’re desperate to save their friend. This makes me decidedly not nice, but neither are bully squads so... yeah. More often than not it seems to be just an average group of friends trying to just play together and if I get that impression I back off a bit and switch to normal play mode.

  • As much as I hate when survivors do that, my core American spirit balks at the idea of removing a survivor’s choice to be a wimp.

agreed its REALLY sad and ironic that OP is calling survivors entitled yet expects all of this! XD killer is ridiculously easy people are just lazy and suck at multitasking

At ranks 4-1 killer is not easy. Not even remotely. If survivors know what they’re doing no amount of multi tasking is going to win you a match. You key much have to rely on them making mistakes. That’s the reality of how the game is right now: killers can play perfectly and still lose.

  • Ouch someone’s been curb stomped by swfs I take it. Been there. But not so often that any of your suggestions gain merit. Happy hunting.

  • I am a big fan of the devs and will generally not resort to attacking them since it’s pretty clear they’re trying. Within . Sone things, like whatever tf is going on with auras, are inexcusable, and I fully support people being as aggressive as they need to be to get the problem sorted immediately. Please and thanks

It’s almost like they have a betting pool, how far they can push players and how badly they can mess up before we quit. And we’re making them looking really good by just tagging along

All I know is that this aura thing has rendered the game so unplayable for me that I’ve had to stoop to playing mobile to get my fix. Imo mobile is now superior until auras are restored. Dark times indeed.

  • Yet again can’t post something because reasons? I’ll paraphrase: this should not have happened whatsoever. Whoever approved this needs a serious time out and a snickers. Fix it immediately please and place whoever responsible under sober adult supervision. Thanks.

Excuse me but Lery's is a great map for nurse, if you bring aura reading perk that's it. Well, with the new aura changes... it's horrible.

I have literally never heard anyone claim that. I run the old gal pretty often on Xbox and Lery’s is a nightmare. Los blockers and windows left and right. You are possessed of some magic that I do not have that’s for certain.

I can tap the power button repeatedly and get it to overheat in a little over 11 seconds. That's not fast, and that's a huge penalty for something as little as what is effectively a taunt.

While you may love the roar (for comedy?), I think it's far too silly. I stop and laugh at it as survivor, and that gets me dead. As a killer, it can be annoying and repetitive, given that I love going for chainsaws even if I know I can't hit them. It's the same deal with Nurse. The changes make players who just enjoy using his power for fun and not effectiveness are punished far beyond just missing an attack. I don't play Hillbilly to be as effective as I can be; I play just to enjoy the experience of going for bonkers chainsaws that work out 1/100 of the time, and then the survivors say, "oh, I wasn't expecting that." I am the kind of killer that is perfectly happy seeing the exit gates get powered as long as I've had ample opportunity to use my power for my pleasure, whether that results in downs or not.

So, to me at the very least, what the devs did to Hillbilly was the worst thing they could have done. Instead of addressing backrevs, strange hitbox connections, and the speed of his chainsaw cooldown or even his movement speed during that, the devs went and just said, "NOPE! Our game is not for people who just want to have fun. Be competitive (we don't mind you having a little fun if you're competitive) like this is an E-sports tournament, or get lost!" And that's just disappointing...

If it isn’t fast then why complain about the penalty? How are silly noises punishing the player? Why act like you aren’t in the minority for wanting fun over competitiveness? Fun is subjective, competitive balance isn’t. What’s with the hyperbole? So many questions.

They are from a different time in Dbd before exhaustion perks were nerfed. If you can hit a hatchet 2ft away from survivor, they are guaranteed to go down, you dont get any distance and any exhaustion you were planning to use is now gone.

Mostly just relied on by people who cant hit even medium range hatchets, they are not needed anymore

Disagree on the exhaustion addons. Survivors are overly reliant on exhaustion perks nowadays to the point where they seem to think it’s impossible to escape that scenario without them. Simply not true. I think the exhausting addons are fine- huntress is slow.

  • All of the above being what it is, I’m fairly certain most survs burning Ormond right now are intentionally taking advantage of the busted auras. Some ppl, like myself, can’t even see where their gens are. There’s a special place in video game hell for these people, and it’s the basement where I am gonna face camp them until the auras get fixed. Not like I can play normally anyways. If we get it naturally I’ll probably just farm or something.

Because there are certain maps that people choose to hate. As survivor, I sometimes put hospital and hawkins. So many people dislike those maps but I love them. Certain perks work better on certain maps and certain killers have advantages on certain maps. In general, I wish that everyone would be open to playing on any map. No matter what happens in a game, there is always a chance to win and a chance to lose everytime. It is how people play which will make the difference.

I mostly agree and don’t drop match because of offering, but it most certainly influences how sweaty I’m gonna play if an obvious swf burns a Haddonfield. Sure, I’m petty, but if these groups go out of their way to flex an advantage and deny me a game, I’m going to do everything in my power to return the favor. That’s just how it is.

Responses like these are why nobody takes killers suggestions seriously. This is why evert killer suggestion comes from "entitled killer mains lol"

It's not that hard. Just play the game. This is from a rank 1 Trapper main.

Please. If you’re cool with it then that’s awesome of you, but a coordinated swf can completely screw your game with the right map. As a trapper you should understand this. For the rest of us, say huntresses starting at a Hawkins or nurse’s looking at a Lery’s it’s disheartening and just one more extreme advantage over you.

lol this whole game needs hit box fixes.

Except with auras how they are now, no one is sniping anyone from across a map. And everyone shouldn't be bunched up to begin with. Technically with this update, she's already ######### nerfed. (Not that I can even play because I can't even see the new auras). They won't just change iri heads, you know damn well they're going to nerf her into the ground.

This is also very true but in holding out hope that they fix the auras. Nobody who isn’t insane or sadistic should be fine with how they are. Rip, my trapper games. I almost wish they’d put traps in lockers like with huntress because I can’t find the darn things.

I know its fine which is why I prefaced my comment with "Im not calling for a nerf" of it. But it SHOULD be mentioned in a thread about Huntresss base kit.

Is there any other killer who can down you from across map without any cooldown or requirement? Nope. She stands alone in that which is precisely why it should be mentioned in this thread. Hardly anyone brings it up, they complain about Iriheads but forget she has the longest reach in the game.

Good points. But they’re also why she’s slow as crap and can never go undetected bc of lullaby. Not to mention having to waste a lot of time reloading periodically, even with IM. The drawbacks are severe enough to ballast her reach that imo she’s one of the most thought out and balanced killers in the game. Except for that whole iri head infantry belt thing. Iri should be removed or limited to one hatchet, period.

ummm, yeah Im a killer too bro. I love playing huntress and always run BBQ to do this as often as I can. When you see a godhuntress in action they can do this every single match dude. And I am not even that good at hatchets LOL

I think it is unbiased to admit that. To deny the fact Huntress can down you across map is simply ignoring facts about balance.

My comments disappear too often. Very good huntresses can do that, but it’s rare due to maps usually not allowing it. And it’s hardly a balance issue. If she does it once and survivors don’t take cover when she hooks then that’s more due to stupidity than it being unbalanced. Easy to counter. It’s fine.

Very good huntresses, yes. There aren’t that many and most maps don’t allow even them to do it. Not a balance issue, if she does it once then survs should hide when she hooks. Not hard to counter in the least.

  • @MercySparda said:

Everyone keeps complaining about Iri heads but honestly it's no different than any other one hit killer. What next? Remove tombstone, too op? She gets mad of 3 hatchets and unless you're clumped together and the huntress has perfect aim, the danger is far less than a bubba or Billy. Yeah she can throw across the map but we all know that takes extreme skill and or luck. Iri heads are honestly fine and I don't trust BHVR to give her a relevant add on of iridescent quality that isn't a complete nerf.

A one shot down from across map? That with skill you can do to at least two survs with almost no cooldown? Huge difference.
