While I do not call for nerfs, being able to throw a hatchet across map at a BBQ aura and down someone, well,.... we know its BS.

Do you have any idea how difficult this is to do? If someone develops that skill then they’ve earned it, this is not in any way a common experience against most huntresses.

  • Maybe quit making duplicate posts? If you don’t want honest feedback then don’t offer suggestions, because what’s the point? Take the commentary you’ve been given, think your concepts out better, and try again. But perhaps in the same place you started because opening new threads just to fish for sympathy or whatever don’t do you any favors.

  • It’s fine the way it is, except they really should make it so that if you hook another survivor the last loses it. It may be intended to counter tunneling but I’ve been ds’d so many times after hooking one or two other survs it isn’t funny. Also, it needs to be deactivated when in a locker so sick of that crap.

  • I think mmr should be putting more weight in any given swfs success rate over that of a killers but I guess that would make too much sense

  • My comment vanished again. Lickers aren’t weak if you aren’t armed, and Demo and PH and possibly the nurse shouldn’t be able to see either.

Lickers are pretty weak and they can't see. wont happen either way

So you can take one in a fist fight? You know 2 of the cast either has no eyes or has them completely covered, right? 3 if we count the nurse. Poor logic, try again.

  • I run it for one reason- it can really screw Freddy over. Considering how friggin often I see him at red ranks it lives on my load out now and I love it to pieces.

Simple Idea = If you sit on It for too long It'll be like Pyramid head's cages and respawn somewhere else

Oh now I like this. I like this a lot. Bad winds are blowing for you, Blendette, bad winds indeed. Let’s do that.

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

better question; why were they changed?

Someone up top clearly has a major hate-on for red green color blind people, this is just one of three or so features that specifically screw them. I don’t know what sparked the conspiracy but I swear it’s there. Maybe they‘lol give us a band aid perk like bloodhound but for auras idk.

  • Saw what they were doing with Franklin’s and was all ‘Sweet, now I can keep track of dropped keys and stuff’. The punchline to that joke hit me hard today. It’s bad enough that frame rates on the Xbox are now more horrendous, even when the game lets me see anything, auras aren’t on the list. This feels like several steps backwards, especially for console.

  • @Hippie said:

I actually like the new auras better than the old, because they seem more appropriate. Immersive, too. I play on High graphics and I can see them just fine, and they're not as jarring as the super brightly-colored old auras. I like to use Windows of Opportunity a lot, so I'll have to see how they look with that, but judging by the generator aura I'm sure they'll be fine as well.

I think people will be fine with the new auras once they get used to them (and quit complaining about them, just enjoy the game).

No. No they aren’t. I don’t know which color blind ppl Have hurt you in the past, but it wasn’t me. These are not even remotely acceptable and need to be reverted to what they were like yesterday.

  • Nerf into existence? ... what? In what way are they even planning to nerf Pig?

  • I’m not gonna whine about the promised console optimizations, but if this is the new normal then it’s trash and needs to be addressed ASAP. I expect, at minimum, for the console version I’ve put so much time and $ into to at least be playable. I dare say that’s pretty reasonable. Anyone with the power to do so, please look into this issue it’s really quite bad.

  • No, O.P. Stop it. Get help. Leave my ONE consistent and already easily countered perk alone. Why don’t you people go undermine the survivor side a while? They killed ruin, how about we nerf DS and borrowed time, ya know, the two perks in every killer’s mind every game?

  • You do you. Sometimes camping a hook is the right call, other times it isn’t. I’d suggest mixing the two options whenever possible and let the survivors cry about it if they want. Their logic is generally flawed anyways. If I hear someone crawling around or glimpse someone running near the hook I’m not leaving. Why would I? Half the team is by me doing nothing and one’s on the hook. I’d prefer multiple hooks on each survivor but if you hand me a free 50% stall I’m taking it since I’d be stupid not to. Overaltruism deserves a good curb stomp imo.

  • Been playing with PH quite a lot and I don't think people are giving him enough credit. It's similar with the hag- if you aren't using their kit to the best of your ability then they seem lack luster. But if you are, well that changes things. Most of people's issues with POD is what happens when you miss. If you put the same amount of time in to master it, similar to the Nurse's blink or Huntress' hatchets, then you become a beast of another nature. PH has arguably one of the strongest zoning kits in the game, the lack of cooldown from fake POD to M1 is no joke and catches even god loopers off guard fairly often. His trails leave something to be desired, but with attention to detail and the routes survivors take blind, it's free tracking and map pressure. Unless you are mindlessly sending people to cages, which is actually detrimental, having tormented survivors amounts to map pressure IMO. Good survivors will become a bit more timid if you don't give them the option to remove both their mini mori on death hook and the surprisingly helpful barbed wire trails that help you track them.

TLDR; PH is low tiered based off of people's capacity and ability to play him efficiently. Given time, I think people will come to respect him quite a bit once more players put the time in- he hasn't been out that long. In the hands of the right player, PH can easily be A tier.

No0b3 isn't a bad person. When it comes to DBD hes a little toxic survivor main. But outside of it he's generally a good person.

This whole topic is about DBD content streamers, and their impact on the community. It is independent of who they are *as a person*, and focuses on how they present themselves in the medium. I both do not know, or care to know, any of them in real life. (Maybe Umbra, she seems cool to hang out with) So in regards to the above, he's a pos and I can very happily do without his influence. If he's okay in real life then good for him, but as for his whole streamer persona, since we're categorizing now- well that guy can go play in traffic.

He can't hold his chainsaw revved too long anymore otherwise he goes into a tantrum.

Yeah, I guess that's a bit of a camping nerf, but it's pretty slight. You'd have to be pretty obtuse to stand there and rev for no reason, it doesn't take that long really.

I'm right there with you. I'll admit I do watch Otz only when I'm looking up DBD stuff and he pops up. I dredd puppers tbh and true. Just boring to watch.

I can get behind what you're saying, but I'd have to say in all fairness that Umbra doesn't give off that vibe. She's also a scary good huntress. Most people don't seem to know about her though.

  • A tank top is barely a shirt, and he wears that at minimum because he was told he had to wear one for streaming. You can look it up, I care little.

  • Love Otz/Tofu/Umbra. Cannot stand Tru3, the smarmy git. His arrogance is extremely offputting, and from what i've seen, not backed up by any real skill. Also, put on a dmn shirt. Just ugh. Rant complete.

  • As for anime, i'm not sure how popular it is, but I think Parasyte: The Maxim would be an interesting addition. But I secretly hope for a killer that can disguise themselves as a survivor, so ya know, bias.

  • @Wylesong said:

I am sure people are thinking it is a dumb idea but I would love to see a Tyrant or maybe a licker as a killer and Survivor could be Chris, Jill, Leon, or Ada. There would be so many possible ideas they could pick from this game.

Now for the funnier side. How about a Pokemon Chapter? The killer could be a pokemon trainer and the survivor a pokemon trying to escape the death bringing POKEBALLLLLLL! lmao Sorry was trying to be funny but yeah I think the Resident Evil Idea is not to bad.

I would like to hear your ideas.

Not even gonna address the pokemess. But I think the licker would be a fantastic addition and not at all impossible. I mean, they got PH right? Silent Hill franchise isn't known for cross over collaboration much, as opposed to RE who's even been tossed into MHW. His power could be being able to climb over walls and loop objects, maybe perch on them and snipe with tongue. Survivors would obviously be Leon and Claire, most likely, but they could do what they did with Heather and skin in Chris and Jill and the rest. The incentive is there too, I imagine a lot of people would splurge for a Wesker skin. I can dream.

No but what I mean is they have fixed his camping and his chainsaw cuck. Though I feel like he has improved at all in chases. Windows still are his weakness and tantrum is still extremely bad.

Just curious, but how exactly have they fixed the camping issue? Seems to me that they've made him even better at it. By the time you mow someone down, pick them up, and hook them, you've got enough charges to sweep again. Just confused, can't make sense of it.

I think piping should be reworked and be untied from BP gains.

    Killer:

    4kills = 2 pip

    3 kills = 1pip

    2 kills = nothing

    1 or less kills = -1pip

    Survivor:

    4 survived = 2 pip for everyone

    3 survived = 1 pip for everyone

2 survived = nothing for everyone

1 or less survived = -1pip for everyone

Terrible idea, and one that would cause extreme frustration to those who do care about their rank.

  • Eh, it's a bizarre system and one I've decided to ignore completely outside of tome challenges. Oddly enough, since I've opted to ignore it I do better and stay at rank 2 to 1. That might be because I choose not to multihook and slug people though. I hate being in that situation when I play survivor so unless the crew is acting cocky or something I avoid doing it. I also get more bps when I let people save, and I like my bps.

  • Been playing a while since the change. PH is still not 'trash'. Any time where it was in my best interest to cage a survivor, I did so with no regrets. I'm not certain how the tunnelers still feel about all of this, because I didn't play him like that to begin with, but the niche scenarios where the cage was needed it worked exactly as wanted and not knowing where the caged guy went did nothing to slow me down because ultimately, in those scenarios, it didn't matter. Particularly with bm'ers at the exit gate who thought they were all getting out. Still <3 this guy and I'd still put him just under spirit, nurse, and hag (if they know how to play her correctly)

  • You've gotta be kidding me. PH is becoming my main, and I've only caged people when it was strategically sound to do so. If this makes him 'trash' in anyone's opinion, it's because they were playing like trash, ie camping the cage. That's NOT what the ability is for- you use it to bypass things like ds, etc- of course, but primarily it's meant to get survivors off of gens and to disperse them from your area. At least it is when you're playing him efficiently. I've never understood why people cage without getting some benefit from it, it actually hurts you to do so bc that's 2 hard earned torments gone now, in most scenarios. Nobody who isn't tunnel camping scum thinks that this makes PH trash, we ultimately only lose info as to where survs are headed and if you're rushing to the cage then you're in the aforementioned group. Not a big deal, people are just butt sore that they can't take people out of the game super quickly anymore and nobody cares what people who play like that think.

  • This forum has a bad habit of making my simple typo correcting edits disappear into approval land. No clue if it's going to pop up again, so in summary- I understand all of the above points, being that I only play on Xbox. But that pales in comparison to the frustration I feel with constantly being thrown into a competent killer's match with a bunch of potatoes who make it impossible to get my tomes done.

  • @Jasuo said:

Edit: Inserting my own OP from the thread I made earlier because there's no point in having 2 separate ones.

I'm a PC player and I've literally always played against green or higher ranks since starting the game, which I've gotten accustomed to. Ever since hitting green rank up to my current purple rank I almost exclusively queue into red ranks every game. Sure, I have some experience and good perks now so it's not so bad, but it's still irritating as hell.

Now this isn't what drove me to start this thread. I recently got the chance to try out the game on Xbox because my bf has the gamepass, so I figured why not? Might as well see how it plays. Mind you, he has never even TOUCHED the game before, so I was going into it completely fresh.

Every single game was against red ranks with meta perks. All of them. Not a single game had anyone below red. Starting from rank 20 with 0 MMR or w/e bullshit this game uses to track "skill".

Imagine if you were a new player and this happened to you. You'd never touch this [BAD WORD] game again after experiencing what I just did. This is why the new matchmaking/MMR changes NEED to happen soon. More likely than not the game is turning people away because the beginner experience is absolute horseshit. I love this game, but good god does it feel like it hates me.

Yeah, that about sums it up as killer on xbox, but really that's pretty dependent upon what time you play. That certainly holds true for the evening. That, however, I can and do handle- if nothing else it teaches you how to slay the creeps and before you know it you're at red ranks yourself. That frustration, though, is starting to pale in comparison to what it's like being thrown into a red rank killer's match with a bunch of tree hugging potatoes time and time again. I get why we've gotten to where we have- nobody wants to wait forever for matches, but i'd willingly wait a few more minutes to be put in with some people who at least have some small clue what they're doing because this trying to accomplish these last few survivor tomes for 4 hours now, and failing purely because of my random team's incompetence is for the birds.

Too late I just bought it.

As an Xbox player you have to just accept consoles are not perfect. I have noticed big difference since dbds release in terms of performance and there's still a way to go.

Boycotting or protesting console optimization just means you'll be forcing yourself to take on a disgruntled stance and not be able to let yourself change your mind.

My biggest problem with console optimization was the loading times getting into matches. It used to take about 5 minutes to load into each match and now it takes about a minute.

Dbd has a small team of around 60 people as far as I know. If you want to see console optimization you have to support the game.

I do encourage you to raise your concerns but wanting to boycott buying the Silent Hill Chapter is counter productive.

I suggest you listen to this person, they speak of True-true. The last thing you want to do to get your desired results is stop spending $. The way I see it, the more console players they see are shelling out for content, the more motivated they will be to get to things like optimization. I see frequent updates to consoles, and that's actually pretty impressive. Look at what happened to 7 days to die- things could be far far worse. I think BHVR is doing well and will support them for the efforts I appreciate instead of boycotting them for the one or two things I would like to see happen that haven't yet. Patience. Patience and appreciation.

Also, even though the king was disappointing, you have to admit, when you saw the words "all hail the crimson king" on the wall in wizard in glass, you were curious. And when Callahan told his story in wolves of the calla and mentioned the king and his sigul you were even more curious. Song of susannah and the self titled were self explanatory.

Totally agree, that's exactly why he was so much of a let down. You have this huge epic saga with an enormous buildup and then when you meet him he's basically in hyper toddler tantrum mode. But that's just SK for ya, generally you'll read a huge book and realize you're at the last 15 pages and think that there's no way this is getting wrapped up that quickly, and when it is it seems sorta rushed or robbed of its potential. As for Pennywise, he's separate from the Deadlights in the same way that my arm is separate from my brain. Where you see him, you are dealing with the deadlights. And I think the Entity is more powerful. 'She' seems much more efficient in how she feeds off of her prey and doesn't need a disappointing clown to succeed. Erm... well, she sorta has one doesn't she? Lol, but she has more in her toolbelt at least.

Remember, Good Killers sound a bit OP on paper.

The way it is now the perk is subject to the whims of RNG and in the best case scenario is a pseudo-Exhaustion perk.

At least by disabling the entire kit instead of just a part of it, the power is consistently effective. And even then said effect still doesn't stop the Survivor from looping you normally or completing gens like nothing happened.

I totally understand your point, but my whole concept is killing specific perks, rng or no. Well, to be extra specific, her concept is based upon screwing with coordinated teams by poking holes in their plans. These swat swfs, IMO, succeed because they all run with strategic perks and items to achieve their goal. The Witch, a deeply resentful and petty killer, is meant to at least sway those plans. Which was sort of the thought behind most of her perks. But, yeah, for my first killer idea she's not so great lol. I'll put some work into her later just for the funsies.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

Ok, direct perk removal won't shift the meta of using certain perks, since that would effect any perk in the same way indiscriminately.

However if you can settle for instead just reducing reliance on perks in general then we can make it work anyways.

So if I were designing this Killer here's what I'd do:

    1. Keep the stealth but remove the notifications. Trust me, the Survivors don't move fast enough for keeping the KI effect centered to be a meaningful challenge.

    2. Make the KI effect from 32 meters instead of 16 because 16 meter unconditional tracking is a bit silly for a Killer who's main function has nothing to do with that anyways.

    3. Looking at the KI bubble and holding M2 curses the Survivor. None of that skill check nonsense. Maybe a cooldown, but I think you are seriously overestimating the ability to disable perks.

    4. When a Survivor becomes Cursed. Straight up disable their entire kit until they go out of there way to do some kind of specific action. Maybe another Survivor needs to remove it like Freddy or maybe you just use those alters you mentioned.

    5. Ditch the weird item thing. Finding items on the ground is far too niche a scenario to incorporate into a power in any significant capacity. You either make it too weak to be relevant or too strong for her to be balanced both when it comes into play AND when it doesn't.

If you want to keep the whole "Must hit X skill checks" thing then put that with the curse removal method. Like have it be something along the lines of "go to an alter and complete 6 super difficult skill checks back to back to remove it" or something.

I can kinda get behind all but 4. Completely removing their perks entirely is a bit oppressive, and I'd rather have a chance at taking out 4 DS or Sprint Bursts than spudding one survivor. The problem might be how easy it would be to disable it, but if 3 or 4 SBs or DSs get taken out and it takes a considerable amount of time to fix the issue that's an immense amount of pressure. Gonna chew on it a bit. She definitely needs feedback to know if multiple survivors are effected, if not getting to see exactly which perk was nixed.

With 5 I sorta planned the use of Franklins, but that would take out a slot. I toyed with the notion of the Witch being able to detect and Malign items in chests and maybe that would work better. Yeah she needs some work but I like the core concept. Points 1 and 2 I'll change later for certain I have to admit my sense of distance in meters is pretty bad, especially since we wacky Americans most deal with the Imperial system.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

For the record. What exactly was the core concept you started building this around? Was it the perk removal thing? Was it giving the Survivors a ######### ton of high stakes skill checks? Or was it just the idea of applying some kind of curse onto Survivors?

It was exactly the first thing. Being able to shuffle up the too boring meta perk thing. Probably brought on by constant matches with 4 man swfs all toting DS and Spine Chill and Sprint Burst, etc. I'd honestly welcome anything that encourages survivors to put more variance in their loadouts.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

Ok but sooner or later she has to go and chase a Survivor. Once she does her power at best disabled a perk.

But here's the thing. Since that's ALL her power really does that means that the Survivor is effectively trading a perk for a power. That's not an even trade. Especially since it's a RANDOM perk.

And you specifically stated that if you hit the Survivor it removes the Curse. So in the off chance that you actually manage to disable a Survivors exhaustion perks before chasing them, already a luck based thing, they will just get it right back the second you move to chase them anyways, rendering what little chase potential the power has useless.

And heck, the secondary ability you gave her with items just gives the Survivors the ability to stun you cross map.

If you handed me this Killer in game, I would use her power as a tracking tool and a mediocre stealth tool and completely ignore the rest of the kit because it's HIGH RISK NO REWARD.

More than a couple of notable points actually. So maligned items now expose, period, until they drop or clean the altar, and only the survivor targeted with her power will get the notification. No endurance, and removing your catalyst is done by hooking them. Progress, at least.

Hmm, kind of a fair point to some extent. In the interest of fairness to survivors, i threw in the endurance, but it does render the kit almost obsolete. I'd still argue that taking out a whole swf full of sprint burst is worth it, but i think i'll remove it. thanks for reading and constructive criticism.

  • Her base is normal, and it's meant to be a huge risk huge reward game. Randomly having the chance to disable a meta perk that several survivors have sounds worth it if you can pull it off. And the endurance is to let the Catalyst get away if the Witch hits them to deactivate the curse for whatever reason, while being broken is to make sure they don't get healed by IS or something since the m1 action would be the cleansing. Eh, it's not perfect that's for sure. But it was fun to think up.

Also, the warning the survivors is so that they have a chance to not let her keep them in her focus.

  • Just for funsies, cooking up a killer concept on the spot:

    THE WITCH-

    Special Power: Sanguis Venari-

Press and hold ability button to charge and activate Sanguis Venari. While active, the Witch's gains Undetectable, slows to 100% and all survivors outside of 16m are indicated with Killer Instinct and given a notification that Sanguis Venari has been activated.

Keeping a survivor's Killer Instinct marker within your focus (This would be a smallish circle in the center of your screen while in SV) will charge a meter. Once full, press the active ability button to activate Malicious Intent. Once Malicious Intent is activated, both the Witch and her target will be unable to move until a short series of soundless skill checks are completed by both the Witch and the targeted survivor. (Maybe determined by the number of totems left on the map) Pending the result the following can happen:

If the Witch succeeds more great skill checks than her target: The Survivor becomes the Catalyst and gains the Endurance effect any time Witch is within 8m, and is broken while they are the Catalyst. One of the Catalyst's perks are selected at random and disabled for themself and any other Survivor who shares the cursed perk. The Catalyst effect and it's curse are removed upon being cleansed by any survivor who shares the curse, or by being hit by The Witch. Cleansing will take longer the more survivors are cursed. The Witch can only have one Catalyst by default.

If the survivor succeeds more great skill checks than the Witch: One of the Witch's perks are selected at random and disabled until the Witch gains a new Catalyst or hooks the target she failed to Curse. That survivor sees the Witch's aura for 8s.

    If they tie, nothing happens.

Press and hold the active ability button while within 4m of any item not held by a survivor to charge and activate Malicious Intent. A representation of that item is spawned somewhere on the map on an altar and all items of its type are now Maligned until the altar is cleansed. Survivors holding a Maligned Item are indicated with Killer Instinct and become exhausted while within 8m of the Witch until they find and cleanse the altar. Cleansing an altar will fatigue the Witch for 4s.

    Perks:

Misanthrope- You despise people of all walks of life, and seek to do them harm equally. When hooking a survivor you haven't hooked most recently, gain a charge, up to 4. Your lunge distance is extended .5m per token. If you hook the same survivor twice in succession you lose all tokens.

You'll Regret That- You enjoy turning others' hopes against them. For every 25% that an exit gate is charged you gain 1% movement speed if no survivor is holding the latch. Opened gates do not contribute to this.

You're Next- You hold grudges like no other. If a survivor takes a protection hit while you are carrying another, they become broken for 60s and are indicated by Killer Instinct while within your terror radius.

    --------------------------------

Probably not very balanced lol, but I tried. It was a fun thinking exercise at least.

The dark tower chapter. 2 killers, Dandelo and the crimson king. 2 survivors, the gunslinger (Roland) and Eddie Dean.

I love the dark tower, but I wouldn't even be able to guess how you could implement Dandelo into the game. What would you do, a channel ability where you perform silent stand up? The King was a lackluster let-down. He pretty much ended up just shrieking and throwing stuff and was taken out by the power of colored pencils and autism. Why not someone far more interesting, like Marten or the man in black, or RF? Actually, I think the best candidate would be Mordred. Either way the dark tower is probably too obscure for people to get into, although it shouldn't be, it's great.

Also, imagine if Roland did show up, what with the Gunslinger being on the killer roster. Awkward.

I posted a comment going through all the different sub-genres of horror that I could think of and listing how they were or were not represented in DBD. Without going through all of them there are a few genres that are distinctly lacking in Dead By Daylight, which is odd considering Dead By Daylight is supposed to be this amalgamation of horror under the overarching slasher umbrella that encapsulates it all.

Sci-Fi Horror. This is the most peculiar because it's one of the most significant and influential kinds of horror - tracing all the way back to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein which was originally first published in 1818, and since then has spawned so many other stories of Mad Scientists, Experiments gone wrong, Aliens landing on earth to kidnap or kill humans, etc. Yet there is not a single chapter that distinctly and clearly covers this genre. (Stranger Things does not count. It takes place in the 80s and makes constant reference to D&D [Dungeons & Dragons] to explain the otherworldly things that appear in the show like the Upside Down and the Demogorgon. Fight me)

Potential recommendations: The Xenomorph (Alien), The Thing (1982), The Predator.

Holiday Horror. It's an interesting concept to take Holidays which are usually bright and cheerful moments in most peoples lives, to flip it upside down to turn it into something dark and sinister. It is technically represented in Dead By Daylight through Michael Myers, since the whole franchise centers around the holiday of Halloween, but halloween is way too easy and simple to tie to horror. Even if it did count, it would still only make one chapter out of now 16 (not to mention the paragraphs) and DBD can do this genre better than that, I'd be satisfied with even just one or two more chapters to represent this genre and cement it into DBD.

Potential recommendations: Anything to do with Christmas would be the go to, so movies like Krampus or Black Christmas could be viable options to look toward. Other than this there's also My Bloody Valentine which is a pretty cool license in its own right that not many people know or talk about, which centers around Valentine's Day.

Gothic Horror. A very traditional form of horror that many people know about and much like Sci-Fi Horror has some pretty deep roots in terms of horror history, it's unique in that it usually sports otherworldy or older more vintage settings, and there's typically a romantic element to it. An argument can be made it does exist in DBD because the Deathslinger was directly inspired from Stephen King's The Dark Tower book series, which are gothic writings. However, that feels like a one foot in, you're only halfway there, kind of deal and again a single chapter for such a broad genre.

Potential recommendations: there aren't many licenses to look forward to here so we're mostly discussing original concepts. A few I want to mention are maybe a Disgraced french Nobleman with a Rapier, or a Vampire or Werewolf who slaughtered their beloved.

Obligatory don't forget about the big 3: Pennywise, Candyman, and Pinhead.

While I sincerely hope that pennywise never gets added (he's the construct of an eldritch abomination, and I don't see the Entity playing well with another one), you have some good points. In fact, one of the most often repeated tropes in horror is bizarrely missing and you reminded me of it- the lover's lane slasher. I mean, he doesn't have to have a hook for a hand, but it wouldn't hurt. Also, where's my zombies? :(

I never expected to see a konami crossover, but since we have one now I can hope for some RE content someday. I doubt they'll give us an 8' indestructible bruiser with a rocket launcher, so my personal pick out of the lot would be the Licker. That would be sweet.

  • So many mature people here. I am not one of them. If i see a .ttv in my lobby I suit up for war against an elite swf. If play goes as normal, which is rare, we play normally. More often than not though, the .ttv starts being a twerp with what is clearly a too high opinion of themselves and my priorities immediately shift. This makes me petty, sure, but i'm not the one going out of my way to try to embarrass people on social media, and nothing is more satisfying than beating someone at their own game. If you're one of the twitch streamers who manage to stay chill then I applaud you, but trust me you're in the minority.

  • I play on Xbox, and while i notice some performance issues here and there I've never found them to prevent me from playing the game, until the last month or so. As survivor, I have far too often been hit by a killer who seems to be 20+ meters away. As a killer, and I've only noticed this recently, I'll be chasing someone and about to hit them when they vanish instantly and end up somewhere behind me. But it's pretty infrequent. Well, the second thing. The first thing happens a lot.

  • I would love to see some obviously missing tropes in horror, especially more non-humans. I want a werewolf quite badly. But, overall, I would like to see more OCs, because they generally have a wider range of cosmetics and originality to them. A scarecrow would be cool, I know there's a couple of scarecrow-ish vanity items, but not an actual character. I think it would be neat if there were more than a few of them posted about the map near gens and survivors wouldn't be able to know which, exactly, was the killer's active one or whatever. I also think it would be very neat to have a killer who's power is hindering survivors when they're looking at them. I think it would shake up the chase scene.

If you read the comments, multiple people have already pointed it out,I JUST bought her chapter days ago,and didn't read the character info until today when people mentioned it (which doesn't even state her origin). I just bought the character days ago,and her Tome entries were from the last Rift, when I didn't have her,so I obviously wasn't able to do them.

I just started playing the game again like February and didn't have any of the characters you had to pay for until recently. I'm not really a big lore guy honestly. I was kinda saying I would like a Hispanic character that was more obvious, and wasn't a single line in a character entry,or some secret lore you have to do a challenge to even be able to see. Some of the challenges are a bit beyond my skill level anyways.

I've already said that's my bad. I just didn't know. If the thread didn't blow up unexpectedly I probably would've never known.

Actually, the important part nobody had mentioned. Which is her tome entries. My point being that perhaps you should check on these things before playing the race card. I honestly don't see what the point of any of it is- Is there something more effective about having a hispanic character? Do you just crave representation? I can understand if so, but from all angles the devs seem to be showing love in a broad manner, both in terms of ethnicity and nationalism. Where's the Inuits rallying for their survivor? Should we throw in some transgendered and disabled people as well? Where do we draw the line in this PC age? Not to be *that guy* but it's a little ridiculous. Just play the game, and unless you see some obvious stereotype or something don't throw racial politics into the mix they have enough to worry about. Good grief.

Edit: I can already see some flames oncoming for my unpopular opinion but it is what it is. Admittedly, I'm a bit triggered by this phenomenon in general, but I think my point is valid. It doesn't seem fair to stack pressure on the creative teams to conform to expectations. At that point you risk getting stereotypical characters whose sole identity is their race, such as Ms. Romero comes dangerously close to being an example. Whether any race card is intended to be placed into play, requests such as these can easily end up there, as evidenced by people clearly bothered enough to tally up the amount of characters into racial categories. Again, why does it matter? Race should be incidental to any survivor or killer's lore and not derivative of it. If we were really concerned with inequality we'd be asking for the truly unrepresented anyways. I find it annoying, but hey that's just my opinion.

  • I imagine that if it's 'bannable' it has something to do with that whole 'funness' aspect, which for some bizarre reason only ever applies to the killer. There's a long list of soft rules that I'm constantly being harassed with through PMs from survivors who insist that I play their way to make it fun for them. Yet, I've never received a message from a killer expecting me to do something to enhance their enjoyment of the game, nor do I recall reading rant posts on the matter. Just an observation.

  • This is a laughably ludicrous request to make. What, exactly, do you think survivors should do if they want to nope out of the match? Just afk for your amusement? You do realize that there are times when you quickly need to leave the match, due to life and its randomness? "Punish DC's, Punish Hook suicides, Punish afks..." I'll do you one better, how about we just punish survivors for existing on the map in the first place? Gimme a break. I'm a killer main, and I'm still laughing at the amount of bias here.
