That's interesting and all, and I'm definitely gonna look into it- but it still doesn't change the fact that the majority of hackers in this game are very much survivors. It's a minor caveat, probably, but I just don't understand why it necessitates a killer AI vs a survivor one. In fact, I don't see the correlation at all. If BHVR could so easily identify hackers and replace them with bots, we'd know by now. They clearly cannot. So what is the logic here?

I mean....... There is A VERY real possibility this is about to happen because of hackers. And you're not going to like it.

While I'm here again, I'm curious to know what you mean. I play a fair amount of both roles, and BY FAR I encounter more hackers when I play killer. In my 5 or so years playing this game I've encountered like, 2 hacking killers vs nearly 150 survivor hackers. I don't get the logic. Am I missing something?

I'm always surprised when I read these sorts of threads, especially as so many games have come and gone.

Personally, I hope VHS does well - people have put a lot of time and effort into the game and knowing how much work has gone into a game makes me sad that they had so many issues with their Beta launch, I wished the same thing for Last Year.

The genre is plenty big enough to have more than one game in it. It won't change DbD - we don't work our game around other games, the decisions that are made are made purely because the people that make these decisions believe they are right for the game, that's not going to change. We're a Live game, things will (and do) change as they have always done.

It's been almost half a year since my 'over-dramatic' post. 5 and a half months or so, and DbD is seeing many long-awaited and far too often requested changes going through at the almost 6 year mark. Whether or not it is due to the very likely possibility of competitors cropping up or not, I couldn't be happier. Still, one has to wonder, why now? Why not, idk, like 2-4 years ago? Not like the community hasn't been extremely clear on what would balance things better since the beginning... I'll leave that debate to those smarter than I.

As I had stated many times before-hand, VHS wouldn't out-shine DbD. However, it came closest to formula we know and love and have best represented here, and others are on their way. My finger is on the pulse, and there's one or two possibilities I'm quite excited about. Whereas I understand the second half of your statement and can appreciate it, I can't help but notice your rather condescending first-half commentary that doesn't require an analyst or psychologist to interpret: "especially as so many games have come and gone." That more than amply shines a light on just how little threatened you guys are at true competition. The flowery bits after that line do little to nothing to mask your condescension towards the failed attempts thus far. Still, they are getting closer. We'll see, I suppose.

Snarkiness aside, if things continue as they have been, there won't be an issue no matter how you view it. I really do feel as though the DbD devs are starting to value their community's input more-so this year than they have any other, and if that's the case, it's a great thing for all around. I'm pleasantly surprised, and hope the trend continues. I'll be back on the thread in another 13 months or so, I'm still fairly confident I'll be proven correct.

Edit: Except the current sbmm tests. So far things feel worse for me, but so far as I know I'm in the minority. Kill it, please- is my vote. I don't want to sweat every single game.

  • New Boil Over literally ensures you cannot be hooked from certain zones on certain maps. I’ve played a lot of killer since it came out. I didn’t really have the room to drop any perks but IG is basically a necessity now jic I run into it and I have been for about half of my matches. Most of the time it’s fine, it’s the every other fifth game or so where someone decides to abuse it that is decidedly not.

I seriously cannot begin to comprehend how this change made it to live, or how anyone with even a modicum of impartiality can think this is good for the game.

There should be no perk that ensures you cannot be hooked, no matter how situational, period. If bhvr wants to keep it the way it is, that’s fine- but maybe double check that these busted af maps don’t have so many spots to abuse it. How hard is it to ensure a hook spawns at the top of eyrie, or ironworks, etc?

And I know ppl think DMS is too strong, but unlike new Boil Over there is always counter play to get around it. There is NOTHING to be done about trolls who sit there and point at you bc they know you can’t hook them. Except camp their slugged corpse, which I am happy to do if they are that annoying.

  • I love her so far, playing as or against. I honestly don’t see how she’s hard to counterplay, if she starts overdoing crows at a loop just leave. Run through one if you gotta it’s not that big of a deal with how quickly you can get them off tbh.

She is by no means impossible to loop. It’s like hag, I think, people will just have to learn to use her power against her.

Holding w does not seem to be the way to go. My quickest downs with her are by sniping survivors who try that. Ppl seem to have a hard time remembering where I’ve pointed my crows once we’ve gotten far enough away from them. So far, I’m having great luck pointing them at a spot I’m pretty sure they’ll run to eventually, and in the meantime distracting them mid chase with newer ones that I’m only putting down to keep my first up longer. It’s like with one LoS blocker between them and it they lose object permanence or something.

  • I got mine second try, would have been first but ppl kept hovering near the hooks. I had the same concerns OP did, but as it turned out ppl don’t seem to know how to counter her yet and most just seem to wanna goof around. Games with any other killer are a total sweat fest so I’m enjoying the temporary break.

I’d say get it done as quickly as possible as conditions may change, probably sooner rather than later

  • redacted comment removed since I was fooled and am now sad.

‘the fog reborn’ patch should be a thing though. Someone hire that man.

HsH, Last Year, Fridaythe13th, Hide or Die, Resident evil had one and was so forgetable i don't even remember the name, Predator also had an assymetrical 1v4, even Phasmaphobia was told it would kill dbd while not even being the same damn genre.

Short story there are always doomsayers. And they have never been right. Even if DbD gets a competitor. It won't change anything.

They will just co-exist. Most likely even have a large portion of their community playing both games.

Last point before I’m truly done- what keeps DbD on top besides no true competitors and their many licenses? Don’t worry I’ll wait…

let one, just ONE contender arise, which it absolutely will before long, and let that contender start accruing licenses of their own- well that will become a problem.

you ppl tunnel focus on the now to the point you don’t see the future. I do. And I bet the devs do as well. That’s my whole point.

when these contenders arise the new players will become less of a priority and the faithful players will finally get the attention they both deserve and have paid money for. DbD won’t go down without a fight.

I’m done for real with my commentary, you birds can cluck amongst yourselves if you want I’ll step back in within 18 months once I’m proven correct.

And none of those have even come close to replicating DbD’s niche genre. Unlike VHS. Am I speaking Ancient Greek here? Is vhs better? God no. Is it closer to DbD than any other? Yes. Yes it is.

    that’s the whole point.

  • @Labrac said:

If you think killers have it rough on DBD you won't like VHS at all. Seriously, I know some teams out there just want to make the person feel as miserable as possible, but VHS takes it to another level. If anything I predict some of these survivors leaving to play VHS, because that one is a real bully simulator.

It's actually just going to be another Home Sweet Home situation, seriosuly.

You ppl just focus on the extreme and completely ignore or miss the important points.

is what you’re saying true? Absolutely.

is what you’re saying the whole story? Not at all.

it’s about the simple fact that these attempts are getting closer and closer to the DbD formula. It’s a threat. Look how many streamers are getting hyped for literally anything else that comes close. Step outside your bias and see the big picture.

you think VHS is the end? Lol. No. It’s just come close enough to prove that DbD has to try harder now or be replaced. It’s really that simple.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

They had competition for their entire 5 years. DbD was just better every time

Even if there was competition that succeeds, that doesn't mean DbD will die. Same as street fighter didn't die with tekken or mortal kombat. They will merely co-exist

I'm hoping VHS does well. Cause it really looks like a fun game with cool mechanics. Hoping VHS does well purelly so it might lead to DbD demise is just sad. Pathetic and sad.

No. They haven’t. Name one. You can’t bc no game has come even close. Now, however, they’re getting scarily close. DbD has gotta step it up or fade away. If you don’t see the very likelihood of a potential contender within 18 months you’re just not paying attention. It’s that simple and it’s all I’ll say on the matter.

I assure you DbD devs know this to be true. Watch what happens within a year to prove me, and several p who are paying attention, correct

    image.png

Ps learn to read- the last thing I want is for DbD to fail. I want them to step up and continue to dominate the genre. Which I’ve already stated. They haven’t been because they’ve had no true competitors and haven’t had to. Now, in the very near future, they do. That’s the point.

time to step it up and it’s long overdue

  • You ppl don’t see the end game. I already have admitted vhs won’t kill DbD. But it’s the first wave of an oncoming onslaught.

They have to step up now or fall to whatever pops up in the next year or two. And trust me, a true contender is on the rise.

mark my words- The devs ain’t stupid- they know. Thus the blood hunt. And DbD will finally get the TLC that’s been put off for far too long.

it ain’t about this specific low value threat it’s about the pattern.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

DBD has competition? Would be new to me.

Pay more attention buddy. It’s a crap game, but vhs beta has launched and coincidentally we have a blood hunt at the same time despite never having had one at this time of year beforehand. They shouldn’t be threatened, at least not by vhs, but they clearly are.

it’s a good sign. They’re smart and paying attention. Gotta put up or shut down.

go ahead and think I’m crazy- I’m not. Dbd will vastly improve soon or fade away. My money is on the first.

  • @Jago said:

    Cant wait for killer AI

Call it what you will- melodramatic or. It it’s the truth- DbD, as much as I love it, has had it far too good for far too long. It’s allowed them to do the bare minimum and this game, which most of us love, is a complete nightmare even though it’s been 5+ years. Now they have to get their sht together or fail like Friday the 13th did.

they won’t, I think. They’ve had the potential most of this time to do right by their fan base but haven’t, because they didn’t have to. Now they do. And this is just the beginning.

They’ll reclaim their crown, I’ve no doubt, but in the meantime they’ll get serious and that’s all I’ve ever wanted.

  • Killers have a streamlined gamestyle because it it far more intensive than survivors'. Killers can't afford to waste time on multiple objectives like survivors, so if they're playing well they have a better time maxing their score. However, the whole 'bbq' thing is irrelevant. Survivors have WGLF, and since you can body block for stacks it's ridiculously easy to get your double BPS. I honestly don't know why I don't see it used more often, being able to pick people up so quick is very useful.

I believe that most survivors don't fully understand the 4 different categories they have to perform to get close to their max. All too often I see people stick to their niche roles, or worse- avoid chases and only do gens. It's these kinds of survivors that don't see a lot of BP gain at the end of the match, especially if they get sacrificed. Tbh, most of the groups I come across just wanna slam gens and leave immediately. Which is fair, but you just don't get a lot of BP that way.

It is by no means impossible or even that difficult to at least get close to your 32k as survivor. I regularly manage to in solo que minus the exceptions where I get hard tunneled or camped to the point where I have no opportunity to really play. IMO, if you aren't running WGLF, then you really shouldn't complain about BBQ.

Furthermore, having played both roles heavily for years, I think it often gets overlooked just how many various addons and offerings killers have to invest their gains on. I regularly have more items and addons on each survivor than I can ever reasonably use, yet with many killers I often blow through 2-3 entire bloodwebs just to get the one green addon I'm looking for. It's not like I can find any lying around in the trial to take home with me.

Whichever way you view it, it isn't that the event is killer sided, it's just simpler to gain BPs for killer as a whole and it should be.

Did it Kill you? Or was the previous bug where it also doesn't Kill you also present?

Idk because I basically bullrushed the pig and got the match over with. Didn't stick around to find out lol.

  • Just had this happen. Not only did i remove it and it stayed on, it somehow activated itself with no gens being done afterward. Then a gen did get completed, after mine was already active, and the addon that hides the auras of the boxes continued to hide them. Either that pig was hacking or this is a busted broken combo and one or the other should be killswitched.

  • Isn't it always like this? I've never known any other way. Xbox does that to me with pretty much everything, full thing no small patches. It's why I gave up on Ark- constant way too big updates* killing my data cap.

If there's an alternative I'd sure love to know it.

I'm sorry that happened to you. I know it's been frustrating..

Frustrating? Constantly being paired with people who are at twice my frame rate is frustrating. Losing almost every hit validation in the same scenarios is frustrating. Having been waiting for, and eventually given up on promised console optimization after an amount of time too long to count or remember. Also frustrating. Seeing ads on the little twitter sidebar on the reg but literally nothing about whatever bug is causing this fubar or the status of it's being fixed... Super frustrating.

What's been going on the past week? Well now, that's INFURIATING. Highly debating uninstalling, something I've never seriously considered before throughout many 'frustrations'. My patience only lasts so long. I can't be alone in this.

there might be a hotfix tomorrow but we don't know if the infinite loading screens will be part of it.

Tomorrow? Maybe? I suppose that's fair, having lost literally like half of the event by now. /s

  • Took a 2 day break. Just logged on to do some dailies and see if BHVR managed to fix a glaring issue before the next monday. (Wednesday if we're being honest) They didn't. Go figure right? This is my shocked face :| Do you see it? <--

Every other match, playing killer, same bug. We should all know the problem is predominately caused by console killers by now. BHVR doubly so but here we are.

Here's to hoping they'll extend the Halloween event tome by a few days, at least. Since, you know, the per usual game breaking bugs preventing people from completing it. Many of whom rely on the weekend to do so. Sometimes I wonder why I bother playing this game. I love it, but this is ridiculous, and not without precedent.

EDIT: Xbox. Crossplay on. Killer: literally doesn't matter. Yadda Yadda on and on we go.

EDIT: EDIT: 4..matches..in...a...row. Nothing in common except all were me trying to play killer on Xbox, and the fact that the only thing that exceeds my stubbornness in trying to play your game is my poor luck. At this point, (the table flipping point), I applaud your upcoming competitors to the unique brand that is your game's genre. Not because I intend to jump ship, but instead because I assume you'll have no choice but to take things seriously and prevent absurd bs like what's occurring at the moment and has occurred, in similar magnitude, several times before. I have years of effort, and money, invested in the product that is this game. The LEAST that its developers can achieve is making sure it functions at the bare minimum I've grown accustomed to. You know, when it isn't utterly broken by updates that are, ironically, meant to be QoL changes.

  • @BMoney said:

The time today is 4:43 Pm est

The Date is October 22, 2021

The issue of infinite loading screens is still happening, it happened three games out of the 4 we played today.

Me and my SFW (4players) noticed a few things, Killers on console would disconnect out of the 2/ 3 games we played. One of the4 games we played my SFW disconnected and when it happened it kicked them out of the game with a crash report! Pale swap and black water both ended in disconnects.

On our 5th game we turned off cross play and the game loaded fine. McMillian, was the map that loaded the version of it was the one without the house. Turning off cross play seemed to fix the issue a little

Also relying on players for the answer to the problems is a bit dodgy to me, do you not have people testing it out for you.. I know whoever sees this is just in charge of responding but if you can email this to the people who fix it I suggest your team needs to have more testers, or have workers come together and advocate for more testers. I don't have to do this but I know you all won't fix if I don't do it. Also players like me spent real money on a character that's about to have 2 perks disabled.. I mean come on players deseve the compensation, at least give us some iridescent shards so we can spend it on something else.

    Thanks,

    B-Money

lmao. you kidding? This is BHVR. If they were as competent as, well, pretty much ANY other game company on their level of success about 70% of the shite we have to deal with wouldn't happen. And that's a conservative estimate. Somehow, the game is fun enough that we deal with it anyways and they know it. This allows them to literally 'test' their changes in code for a week or longer before releasing it live to the inevitable, often game breaking, bugs, crashes, and all around inept design decision.

I'm sure there are ppl who will chide me for saying as much- but can you prove otherwise? Don't worry I'll wait.

Don't get me wrong I love DbD, but it's a hard thing to love. Like an ill tempered step child. I'm quite educated in both game design, and software design- How these kind of fk ups keep happening is beyond me. Like, mind blowingly confusing. Idk who is in charge of testing this crap before it hits consumers, but they need to be fired and replaced because holy crap, a new update releasing and not breaking things is the exception- not the norm.

Just so my topic stays on point in this thread: 3 more infinite loading screens. crossplay on. xbox one. Out of the 5 games i've managed to play successfully, 3 have been included hackers. Maybe talk to steam about that crap at some point, guys, because that is ALSO mind bogglingly unacceptable and getting very old very quickly.

  • I’m no genius, and I realize we console players are always the lowest of priority, but: Isn’t it pointless to apply a ‘fix’ to just steam if people on other platforms in their lobby still get the bug? Are we just testing steam only lobbies to see if it works, because if not you may as well just use sage and smudge the servers to achieve the same effect…

  • Literally every killer match for me. I’m giving up. Xbox, crossplay on, can’t say with it off since matchmaking takes way too long to bother that way.

It would seem to me that this is an Xbox problem- only consistent thing I see in the reports is that cross play is on for everyone who’s bothered to confirm, with the sole exception of a couple of Xbox users.

Guess I’ll go play for honor since that’s apparently the only reliable way to get a game with the trapper.

Edit: this isn’t due to Mikaela- I’ve had matches load just fine with four of them.

It isn’t any offering- I’ve had the bug with no offerings burnt and it was doing it yesterday before the event went live.

not entirely certain here but I don’t think it’s any specific map either- yesterday I managed to play on each of them even if it took forever. Also if you wait for the error to resolve it usually tells you which map it was and I’ve gotten several.

  • @VexTheHex said:

Let's ask the killer hive mind forum what they think about this? Not the best place.

They have friend(s) who play. Or they like team play.

All the easier and stress talk is foolish as it varies person by person. And neither side is that difficult.

Spoken like someone who isn't at a red rank competitive level. Because if you aren't this is true. Otherwise this is a ridiculous statement. Those who have arrived and spent some time there knows which side the scales are imbalanced towards, and trust me, if not the many many people who have been voicing the same opinion/borderline fact for years- killer role at said competitive level is anything but easy.

  • Like many have pointed out- being a survivor, in a swf anyways, is far easier and takes much less skill. Solo surv is a much different ballgame, but swf survivor is easy peasy titty squeezy. So much so that it's always amusing when i get toxic mail from the very like who think they've actually accomplished something worthwhile. I don't care who tries to argue against it, a solid group of communicating survivors is nearly impossible to best with the majority of killers in this game. It's a problem, but the people who matter don't want to admit it, and were I in their shoes I probably wouldn't either lest I lose the twerps I'm discussing, who by my count have to figure into the majority.

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

You let it sound like all PC players play with constantly 60fps.

No, we don't. It is the same hell on older systems like mine (5y old). I may get about 60fps on medium on older maps for the most part, but some maps like Lèry's are just horrible with 15-30fps when I play killer. Yes you heard that right. And even on other maps my fps drop to 20 sometimes.

I know console is horrible, but punishing other players for it? No thank you. Because that's what would happen: everyone would switch crossplay off because 30fps is no fun at all. And I know for a fact that PC queuetimes are a lot shorter than console ones. So you just hurt yourselves with this.

Just because of the fact that poor people like you are in the minority, it doesn't change my perspective. Nor my point. Limit ALL players to the exact same FPS limit or admit your bs bias. The end. We're done here.

  • Xbox here this is happening like twice per match. It’s infuriating.

I’m not defending anyone, I’m stating that people blaming bhvr’s releasing new content and cosmetics for the lack of optimization is both short sighted and an unrealistic assessment of the situation. Funny how it’s relevant when you people are calling for the wolves but not relevant when someone points out the flaws in the argument. Being loud and passive aggressive achieves as little as making ignorant claims but I suppose it helps people vent their frustrations.🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you actually joking? Do you know how many cosmetics are in the store? 1,381. 595 to Killers, 786 to Survivors. Then let's also account for DLC. Oh, and lets not also forget that Battle Pass that requires someone to spend real cash to buy Auric Cells to get it. Yeah, BHVR must be really finding that income tough to spread out a little to consoles.

Not so simple. Again engine tweaks are time consuming and expensive. Hell, even console updates can be costly and they do those regularly. Many games can’t or won’t- go ask thefunpimps. That’s my whole point, what is being asked is neither easy or simple to accomplish, and I see no reason for bhvr to stop everything they’re doing, which would neglect their original platform, until the problem gets fixed. If it even will, frankly. Some realism needs to be factored in to the situation and making it out like the devs can clearly resolve this issue just because you see a steady stream of new content, well those are separate things and they’re not as cleanly connected as many people seem to think. I’m not joking, I just have a healthy understanding of how game design tends to work. They’re doing better than many others out there.

  • We all want console optimizations, but y’all need to quit flaming the cosmetics- those bring in money, and money will be needed to fix these problems. The last thing you should want is for them to decrease their income to get what you want, income = motivation. Plus people keep pointing out the separate teams on each. Tweaking or overhauling the entire game engine is gonna be a very time consuming and expensive task, honestly I don’t expect them to do it at all with new consoles in the horizon. And best believe the problem is the game engine- not minor visual effects or console hardware.

  • Meanwhile, in Nazi Germany... 🙄

  • Streamers behaviors and opinions heavily influenced this community. May as well make peace with that fact because you can’t change it.

  • Survivor: Defiance- The sight of your killer fills you with the will to live. While the killer is within 16m of you while you are on a hook, entity progression rate is slowed by 10/15/20%

Killer: You’ll Regret That- You relish in turning your victims hopes against them. For every 33% that an exit gate is powered gain 1/1.5/2% movement speed.

You’re on something, for sure, if you think coms don’t give a huge advantage. So much so that I think we can safely ignore any of your input because that is a ridiculous claim to make, and yes, the killers who play against swf all the time can verify this. You seem to think you can ignore all of their observations and make absurd statements that anyone with 50 hours in can see as the flawed logic that they are.

Swf is not broken because the info you get from comms isn't much better than the info you get from having map awareness.

This is laughable incorrect. So so wrong.

  • All of these arguments about balancing both sides to each other are asinine. It’s about balancing the game to its core concept, that of a 1v4 game where the one is as strong as the four. And it sort of already is, up until swf is a thing. Swf breaks this game there’s no way around it.

There actually is a way: make SWF its own mode. Then you could apply rules like only one of each perk can be used in a game(no duplicates) in those lobbies.

See that works make too much sense and it’s been stated they don’t want to do that. Maybe because these swat swfs would have to go against a killer that’s prepared for the bs, and without that guarantee to bully the killer they’ll lose interest. All logic points to the fact that swf is so ridiculously game breaking that it needs its own mode with higher rewards. But the que times will likely be ridiculous because swfs are a dime a dozen and killers who want to actually deal with them are not so common. Which should point out just how imbalanced they are but hey nobody asked for logic.

"Completely erase all the work you have done to create the next killer and delay the release because I don't like the power."

This is what you are suggesting. No.

No this guy hit the nail on the head. An accurate assessment of what you are suggesting isn’t an attack, it’s an observation. It’s far more feasible to suggest changes to what they’ve already poured time and money into than to offer, well, what was already stated- a complete rework. That would be unreasonable. Which isn’t to say your ideas aren’t interesting, just that you may as well attach them to a new killer idea because what’s done is done.

  • Competent does not equal balanced. I would need to see some hard data to back the 2k average claim that seems far too low. Regardless, she strikes me as the least balanced and worst designed killer in this game- at least in terms of fairness to counter. Just by standing still spirit can reduce survivors’ tactics to pure guess work and avoiding getting hit becomes a gambling game. That is far from balanced. She needs a rework quite badly. I only play her when rituals force me to, using her feels cheap and usually results in easy wins- in fact most of the time ppl dc upon getting downed and as much as I hate when ppl do that, in this one scenario I kind of understand it.

  • If determined to win, don’t chase anyone too far, maybe far enough to get a pallet out of them, then return to your route. Given enough of this, and after they’ve checked boxes for keys, they’ll get desperate and start making mistakes just to be done with the situation. If playing anyone other than huntress I typically just let them finish whichever of the three is furthest from the door or has the least safety and go from there bc I don’t have time for that mess. If playing huntress though, I stick to it and collect my inevitable win, since when I’m playing her I make a point to defend a 3 gen that’s actually defensible at range. On the maps that aren’t evil for her of course.

  • Demo takes no skill? Rofl ok dude.

  • Getting slapped by demo and then shredded before you can get to the next loop- super strong. Playing demo without it feels clumsy, and it’s super satisfying downing multiple people who cluster up.

  • I agree with one huge difference- ghost face. And I find furtive to be more reliable than nemesis but both are good together. Stbfl in the wings as well- catch up with obsession, get some chase stalk, let them go. Catch them exposed with 3 stacks and go on with your day. Works per well

hell? He says himself he was hooked only once, they compelyed all gens. SOLO IS HELL... If it was a hell they would be dead having 5 gens uncomplited.

Now i understand that solo q is HELL jsut because he died . What a tragedy.

Was it hell for killer? Was it the only kil lin game he got? Were all gens finished in 7 mins?

Now i see surv in real hysteria just because he died. WOW.

See now you’re suggesting empathy for the killer, and im not sure that’s allowed lol. Being that most killers that I see who run it struggle to secure even one kill, and similarly how most people who run things like UB+DS etc seem to do so because they can’t run the killer well, you’d think there’d be some common ground feelings here, but you know, entitlement. It’s really as simple of an issue as that- there is an abundance of entitlement issues in a good deal of the survivor community. My Xbox inbox alone proves that. If it isn’t one thing it’s another, there’ll always be some reason that ppl feel you are trash or that they were cheated out of their owed victory. 1000s if games and I’ve been gg’d for winning maybe three times? Four? It’s really pretty ridiculous. This recurring Noed argument is just another highlight in a marathon of bias.

  • True swf makes it easier, but i often deal with it just as easily when solo which is how I play survivor 80% of the time. It still isn’ta big deal. In fact, when the last gen pops, if I think Noed is there, I just hide a bit and wait for someone to get hit and then find and cleanse it if it is. Again, not even remotely difficult. Usually the person one shot mindlessly runs for the exit gate and gets easily slapped down. You think maybe the problem is that approach as opposed to the Noed itself? It’s ridiculously easy to counter with any killer besides a good trapper, both before and after gens are done. It’s fine as is. It’s really that simple.

  • Yep and it highlights the whole whiny aspect of the bias I mentioned. If there’sa notes either hide and get out or find it and clean it it isn’t that hard. Again, 1 2nd Chance perk for killers that can be cleansed vs several that survivors use. It’sa hilarious argument. Noed doesn’t stop my crew at all, just shows us down a bit. Adapt and move on.

  • No, Noed is exactly equivalent to all of the 2nd Chance perks that survivors have, except killers just have the one that can be deactivated before it’s ever used whereas survivors have numerous ones that are difficult to play around. The only difference is that whiny survivors seem to feel that it’s ok and necessary for them to have all of their own, while also complaining that noed should be removed. I don’t like noed myself, but it amuses me the amount of bias goes into these complaints.
