Banned Ochido because he knows how to play and turn the killers, you have a problem ? It's pathetic

i strongly disagree with Ochido's ban

Ochido did an incredible dissemination job to get DBD known to many players ( he got +500k subs)

Ochido made thousands of dollars in purchases of DBD

Ochido is fun, is a troll, is top skilled as surv, decent killer skilled

UNBAN Ochido for the fuk shake of Youtube entertaining! I dont care what he did about girls

Aside from the fact that he is a sexual predator he was directly responsible for poisoning this community and encouraging abuse of exploits, griefing and toxicity. He was an absolute cancer that needed to be rooted out. Thankfully he was dumb enough to go witch hunting live on twitch which made BHVR finally pull the plug on him. I am glad he cannot find refuge on the console community either.

IIRC He was banned on PC for witch hunting. It was pretty much the straw that broke the camels back.

+1. I am glad BHVR is committed to keeping him out of this community. He is not welcome here. If he crops up again i hope they swiftly ban him again.

  • He was banned on console? Good, that pervert got what he deserved.

    So they did bug it.

They definitely did a pretty gud job so far on selfcare this time around. I have to wonder if they intended this to be except they accidentally inverted it. Perhaps they wanted tier 3 selfcare to work at 45% efficiency vs the standard 20% but somehow ######### up the values for each tier.

Wannabe toxic squad just got exterminated. Only one gen done. FeelsGoodMan. They practically threw themselves on my hooks while trying to be toxic.

I write all that because I know that your intentions are not good to make a post that you "just destroyed a swf group" .. When I play solo and I'm chased by 5 gens I do not come to the forum and do a post "Just pissed a killer for 5 gens".. Everything that causes it's more toxicity on both sides :)

I just found it a bit humorous and wanted to share my experience. It was funny because the Rank 18 deliberately tried to get my attention to chase them. Instead i 100% ignored them and went for their friends and everything went south for them. There is a lesson to be learned however from my experiences with groups like these. If you have someone that you know has a full second chance loadout and is deliberately trying to get you to chase them its best to completely ignore them and find someone else. If i would have tried to chase that Rank 18 i likely would have lost the game.

  • The number of times i have rage quit in this game i can count on one hand. I for sure dont make a habit of it and i despise the action. We are human beings after all and emotion does get the better of us though. First time i did it was when i had survivors trying to be toxic while i was in a terrible mood. They teabagged once and i insta DCed. Second time if i remember correctly it was because i got the backwater swamp 4 times in a row (without offerings). Was getting sick of playing the map over and over so i left the moment it loaded in. There were a few other times but those are the only ones i remember the details of.

  • I personally like rotten fields. I agree that corn in general should be easier to see through but overall i am fine with the map. The maps however that i hate the most are Badham and Haddonfield. Badham because the balance was so poorly thought out and just overall a really ######### design and Haddonfield because the fences are absolute cancer. The RNG on those things has cucked me so many times.

  • The perk grind in this game has become a real problem that sorely needs to be addressed. The devs still continue to release new killers and survivors every 3 months and they have not stated when they plan to stop so its only going to get worse and worse. The ideal solution would be to remove perk tiers. Perk tiers are redundant and needlessly triples the grind.

  • Looks like hes a forum troll.

Nerf of lose survivor player base.
Why it takes 3 years to nerf an op killer gonna stop playin survivor and I will not play nurse

Looking at the steam charts the playerbase seems pretty rocksolid. Of course some like yourself may leave but that is fine. More than enough people in this game. You need to Git Gud or Git lost.

  • @Vietfox said:
Why not? I would like to have some more bloodpoints.

+1 if it counts to the survival category aswell.

  • @michaelmyers87 said:
what bonus do you get when you hit one

150BP (category depends on the action) and a slight boost to the progression bar. On fast actions the boost in negligible however on something like selfcare or repairing a generator if you can consistently hit the greats you can save a good chunk of time and get alot of additional points.

  • The Tornado? Do you mean when the killer does a 360 while your on his shoulder to rub salt in the wounds?

Not porting Bill himself makes sense as thats valves decision but he is only a skin and nothing more. His perks however are quite good and see regular use in the Meta of the game.

his perks are indeed available already, for every survivor. Different icon tho

That makes sense. Atleast from a gameplay perspective console players are not left at a disadvantage on that front.

  • Truth be told i dont think they will ever consider adding a console exclusive survivor. Making Bill a PC exclusive was a mistake and i doubt they desire to willfully repeat it.

Did the same as Doctor, proud of myself. It started out bad for me, got down to two gens to do, and then they stopped repairing gens to go save their friend. There was only one solo survivor, I had to hook her once and they didn't even bother to save her

That has to be probably one of the worse things with SWF. If you play a top tier killer such as Billy or Nurse SWF cancer can usually be defeated in most cases but unfortunatly if there is a solo player the SWF tends to neglect them as a team mate and gets the short end of the stick.

They knew how to break line of sight and waste my time while also very good at hitting the gens. They outplayed me and i lost. Its not impossible to win against the nurse you just have to be better than her at mind games. Nurse separates the mediocre survivors from the truly good ones because she removes the brain dead play style of looping and enables a skillful chase between both parties.

I think you are not good at nurse enough.

Maybe your right but i was getting consistent 4k's with 3k's once in a bluemoon. This is the first game i have had in awhile where i was defeated.

Obviously, if you lose, it's because of your lack of skill, but if you win, it's because the Nurse is broken. You can't win because of skill, everyone knows that.

The double standard is crazy. People just cant seem to fathom that its possible to beat a nurse.

$1500 is like a cutting edge PC. lol

Buyer's remorse in some console players is very powerful, which is why they make up those strawmen.

Console players should know by now that their hardware is literal years out of date and they'll never get the same performance or graphical fidelity (or support) for the long term.

To date, only a couple games I've really wanted to play have been console exclusives; everything else has released on PC or can be emulated.

They should, but they don't. They think that you need to spend 3x as much on a computer that has hardware equivalent to a console's, and twice as often as you'd buy a new console. Try to tell them the truth, that you only really need to upgrade one part every 5 years or so (barring any malfunctions, obviously), and they won't believe you.

I concur. Its mind blowing how ignorant console peasants can be. I built my computer in late 2016. Mid range hardware. 15 6600, RX 480, 16GB of RAM and over 2 years later it is still going strong. Plays everything i throw at it perfectly. If you build it yourself a 700 - 800 dollar computer can last years before needing a hardware upgrade.

Why do console players have to be peasants? You people are a disgusting community.

@Orion pretty much summed it up. Not every console player is a peasant. A console peasant is someone who refuses to acknowledge the objective superiority of the PC platform and attempts to propagate lies surrounding PC Gaming because they are ignorant or refuse to listen to facts when challenged on the topic.

  • Check these sites out http://www.logicalincrements.com/ and https://pcpartpicker.com/

It should have all the information you need to get up to speed on the pricing and tier levels of the hardware in question.

I have an old computer that can run the game, but not by much. As such, my PS4 actually looks and runs the game better.

My computer is a 7 year old frame with pieces grafted onto it over the years to keep it alive, and marginally able to keep up with the games I play on the PC: Guild Wars 2 and DBD.

Eventually I'm going to have to replace it. Not looking forward to spending the cash, but I'm gonna have to I guess.

You should consider taking the time to learn how to build it yourself. Save quite a bit of money. Although the upfront cost of a good PC is higher than console you will get a good return on your investment via the money you will save over the course of the PCs life.

That rank 18 also last second switched on me aswell. Looking at her loadout my guess is that she intentionally deranks to stay in the brown ranks so that she can load in with her SWF to bully noobish killers. Hilarious how much of an Omegafail it was. Tried getting my attention at the start of the match with flashlight clicking and teabagging. Went for her friend instead and got a basement hook. Everything went south for them after that. Watching them try to save him was like watching flies swarm #########.

What frustrates me is that my Xbox One X could probably run the game better than 99% of PC's out there. But since the game wasn't built for this platform I'm stuck with 30 FPS until the optimization patch comes out.

If you were triggered by that let me ask, can your PC run Gears 4 in 4k 60FPS?

    No? Didn't think so. Checkmate.

Yes? How much money did you dump into it? Probably like $2000 or something. I paid $500. Checkmate.

    @Nickenzie said:
Actually, I have invested into the Xbox One X and it's the equivalent to a PC. Perfect 60 FPS except on certain maps like Haddon Field. Nurse is actually playable believe or not but I cannot speak for those who don't have the most powerful console in the market.

Hate to break it to you Nick, but even the X doesn't run the game at 60 FPS. It's locked to 30 FPS because they have to build for the lowest specs, which is the base Xbox. It does indeed run better than a normal Xbox, but frame drops are still a real issue.

You dont need anywhere near a $2000 computer to run 4k 60fps. Hell a midrange GTX 1060 can easily do 4k60 when you tinker with the settings. If you want to run 4k 60 with every single graphics setting turned to maximum is where it gets absurdly expensive and that is what PC elitists typically try and do but mid-range affordable hardware can do just as well if you compromise on graphical settings.

  • I play at 120fps on a 144hz monitor. There is no going back to 60fps let alone peasant 30fps. I would rather drink molten lead before play at 30 fps again.

  • People should just ascend to the PC Master Race and embrace the glory of high frame rates.

  • No one is going to read that wall of text

Its just my girlfriend and I. We play casually together.

I meant rank, but that is helpful, too.

Using a strong perk build, or two?

If you two do well casually vs low ranks it might speak volumes.
I mean if one or two of you are high rank, you're beating up on people who might be more casual, or newer. I'd say the salt is kinda justified.
They see the rank differences, and, well, I wouldn't be thrilled at shoddy match making, and people getting an easy match out of it

Nothing to crazy. My girlfriend is rank 15 i think. She hasent played in awhile. My perk build was just tier 2 adrenaline, tier 1 sprint burst, tier 1 quick and quiet and tier 1 ironwill and a brown medkit with no addons. Nothing overly strong or uber meta. Same goes for my GF

  • Sounds like your team mates are potatos. Leatherface is once of the weakest killers in the game. His power is only useful for playing defensively ie hookcamping. Any competent team can run his ass into the ground. The trick is to avoid running into the open where he can make quick work with his chainsaw sweep. Stay near objects, walls and buildings and he is basically an m1 killer with nothing else going for him.

  • Nothing wrong with end of season rewards but 5 million is wayyy to much. Something like 1 million points would be fair and maybe 5000 iridescent shards.

In my opinion i think there should be bloodpoint awards for pipping to discourage deranking. For example say you earn a single pip in a game. That should reward you with 1.5x the bloodpoints calculated post game. Double pipping would double your bloodpoints and safety would do nothing. Additionally this is only rewarded when you are gaining rank for that season. For example if you are rank 1 and pip you still get the bonus bloodpoint reward but if you depip to rank 2 the next pip or double pip you get that brings you back to rank 1 will not award bonus bloodpoints. Raising and maintaining your rank will ensure you earn the bonus.

MCote said he wants this game to stay up for at least 5 more years. So if it's 4 DLCs each year that means at least 20 more killers and survivors each? I'll be pretty heartbroken whenever the final day for this game comes though.

So long as the game is maintained properly i see DBD having the potential to stay alive for a very long time. If DBD can maintain steady playerbase numbers like l4d2 can then it will continue to be supported. L4d2 manages to get a mix of 15k - 25k steady and i feel DBD is fully capable of that aswell. I expect to still be playing DBD 10 years from now in the same way i play l4d still.

I like it aswell. New content so long after release is a good thing and keeps this game interesting however it is starting to have an adverse effect on the progression system as a whole in my opinion. The grind is becoming more and more immense with each new set of perks and characters. I hope the devs do something about the increasingly polluted bloodweb because spending 50k points to get 1 tier of 1 perk in the sea of all the perks is starting to drive me crazy.

Technically there are new realms (Ormond, Yamaoka, etc.), but they only have one map. As far as new maps, it's definitely possible, other realms have had maps added to them before. Coldwind, Autohaven, MacMillan, Backwater and Crotus Prenn have all received new maps since launch or since they were created. There's a lot of work that goes into each map, between making sure the generating rules are correct and making sure that any unique buildings/tiles are balanced. It's not something that can be slapped together in a week.

I'm not really sure where the priority sits on reusing existing realms, but I imagine it's a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" sorta' deal. If you can work a new map into an existing realm, that's great. But others wouldn't fit into another realm. The map from the Curtain Call chapter, for example, fits well into Crotus Prenn as a travelling carnival. The Yamaoka Estate, however, wouldn't fit into any of the existing realms without looking out of place. I also imagine licensed maps are an exception since you can't just mess with the lore of another franchise. I would assume you couldn't just make a wacky new Saw map, for example.

It's definitely on the table for new maps to be created in existing realms, but it is often more refreshing to have a change in scenery as well.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. This is the response i was looking for. I am happy adding to or making new realms is still on the table. I love the aesthetics of the OG maps. Coldwind, Macmillian and Autohaven i all enjoy playing on. Fingers crossed we see more maps added to various realms in the future. Hell after BHVR is satisfied with the amount of killers/survivors we have in the game it would be cool to see them focus on developing exclusively more maps.

Thats actually not a bad idea. I personally love running bond. It lets me see what is going on around me with other survivors and if they need help.

Try it out, at least kindred, bond and open handed. My 4th one is small game cause randoms dont care about noed. Way better than the typical meta build.

I wish i got survivors like you in more of my games both as killer and survivor. The meta gets stale really fast. Mixing up your build and play style is actually not half bad. Adds some variety to the gameplay for both sides.

  • Yes, if i have it i use it. Even if it lasts long enough for me to get my first hook ruin has done its job and allowed me to exert some early game pressure. Unfortunately good survivors can power right through it but even good survivors have their potato days and struggle to hit the greats. The only killer i dont actively feel the need to have ruin on is The Nurse but that is because she can exert enough pressure on the map that i dont feel i have to.
