For me personally i never do. I stopped exchanging shards for points when the store came in. I save my shards now for the shrine or buying characters.

I often use the two stronger bag addons on him. There are better builds, but this is so much fun: you can create such a minefield of traps in an area that they have just no chance of clearing it. You'll lose a few gens early, but once you managed to usher them there... they're done :)
Lol i like doing the same thing. I trap in and around the killer shack primarily. The killer shack basically becomes a no go zone and if i catch someone and put them in the basement its pretty much GG because the place is a literal deathtrap.

Since this is a thread about potential licensed killers tho i think Albert Wesker would be pretty cool to have as a killer. Specifically the Uroborus Abomination that Wesker became before he was "killed" in that Volcano at the end of RE5. I am sure the devs could make a pretty epic power for Wesker. That twisted piece of metal on his right arm would make for a perfect M1 and he could have a dual purpose power similar to the pig.
Wesker has always been known for having a super human dash. You could hold Shift that allows you to charge up a dash and speed forward extremely fast. Could be used for map pressure and to stagger survivors if they are in his path. It would then go on a cooldown. He could then use his Uroborus tentacles on his left arm to shoot forward and ensnare survivors dragging them towards him.
Edit: In terms of his in game name he could be known as The Virus

I dont really give any sort of consideration to those things when i play killer. I play to kill and earn some points. Not to go easy on the survivors because its the nice thing to do. If someone decides to bumrush a hook right in front of me i am going to usually take the path of least resistance or whatever option grants me a net positive towards winning. Usually that involves killing the poor sap that got farmed but such is life in DBD. Its not always fair.
Truth be told it does depend on the circumstances at hand. If i still need more bbq stacks, is the person that got rescued on death hook, and the current state of the game. If i am losing gens quickly and need to take someone out the game ASAP tunneling is a good option.
Overall i just play the game. No matter what either side does i do what needs to be done to achieve a victory. As killer or survivor. As a survivor i do not expect the killer to play by my made up rules and the same goes the other way around.
-
I really hope we dont see another licensed killer. I prefer BHVRs creations more. It allows them to be creative and add their own style to the game. Licensed killers are constrained to the logical limits of their lore and they cannot be earned through playtime or have a diverse array of cosmetics available to them.
-
Alot of those videos he posts is really old footage that he has stored but not only that his followers send him lots of clips which he then uses to make montages. If BHVR banned every account in his videos they would be banning a whole heap of innocent players. Unfortunately Ochido can keep circumventing bans by making new accounts. Even if he gets a hardware ban all he has to do is buy a new Computer which i am sure he can afford to do. Nothing will stop Ochido from playing this game on a personal account. He just has to be careful and not reveal the account as being his.

I agree the cap is outdated 100% I absolutely ######### loath it because it forces me to spend points on characters i could care less about playing if i am not ready to Prestige a certain character yet. I think the cap should be raised to 10 million points atleast. Give us lots of wiggle room. That or they could just completely do away with the cap and set some sort of meaningless cap at 999,999,999.
-
Unfortunately behavior like this is very common. This game manages to bring out the worst in people and they will do and say some pretty nasty things. Regardless that does not mean it is acceptable behavior. Just as previous posters stated you should file an in game report, screenshot the evidence and then file a support ticket aswell. Someone will look into and punish the offender accordingly. Please make sure you report it! Toxic behavior like this cannot be tolerated in this game any longer and it is our responsibility as community members to crack down on it aswell.

People don't hate Legion because of his subjective power level. They hate him because he removes all skill from the game. The one thing in this game that provides real, dynamic interaction and is the core of the Dead By Daylight experience is the chase. How good you are at chasing/evading is one of the hallmarks that define a good player and a bad one. The Legion takes this idea and wipes his ass with it before burying it in a shallow grave. Chasing with Legion is a braindead experience and trying to escape him is almost impossible unless you get an actual Rank 20 potato with 5 hours in game.
Legion is just a poorly designed killer gameplay wise. The devs did not carefully think it through the implications of his power and the effect it would have. They managed to develop a killer that at base is both ineffective and unfair. The worst of both worlds. He needs to be reworked.

The doctor has diagnosed you with a severe case of NOOBinitus. According to what i am reading the only cure is to git gud.
-
I feel sorry for the survivors in the noob ranks. Even good killers are lucky to pip. If this patch goes live in its current state once the rank reset hits its going to be a cake walk to keep yourself in the noob ranks and absolutely decimate them all while safety pipping.

Hold on a minute you mean the actual double pallet loops? Like the dreadful ones you'd see in gameplays from 2016? If that's coming back I'm either switching to survivor permanently or quitting.
Yes. Double pallets are back. On jungle gyms you will sometimes see double pallets.

The game will try to spawn pallets evenly as much as it can, but if there are no more valid spots and the minimum number of pallets has not been reached, it will put the pallet wherever it can. That could be what you're noticing, but that has not changed in a while.
There were some other changes to spawning in this PTB (things like vertical distance being factored in), but not specifically to make double pallets appear.
So i assume those in charge of balance will recognize this as an unintended side effect of the new pallet spawn parameters and likely fix it.
-
@Peanits or @not_Queen can you please comment on this? Is double pallet jungle gyms an intended change?
-
If jungle gyms having two pallets now is an intended change than rip playing any killer other than nurse. I was just getting into playing trappy boi and actually having alot of fun with him but double pallet jungle gyms are just to much for your typical killer. Back to nurse it is.
-
if i get uber bored il roleplay as basement security with pretty much amounts to insidious camping the basement with billy and noed and killing the poor bastard that dares defile my domain with his putrid presence.
-
I think for Leatherdaddy he could use a complete overhaul. Most of his addons are just recycled Billy Addons which in Leatherdaddys case are complete trash. As for baseline buffs his slowdown when revving needs to not be so punishing in addition to that the charging of the saw needs to be a bit more fluid so that you dont accidentally cancel out the charge. A good buff would be to make the beasts marks and knife scratchings baseline for him. Integrate them like windstorm was integreated for the wraith. Would give him alot of potential to shutdown pallet loops.

NO! LEATHERDADDY IS THE ONLY DADDY. LEATHERBOI CAN TAKE ME TO HIS BASEMENT ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

God please yes! I cannot express how sick and tired i am of having to waste BP on characters i dont care to play because of this ridiculous cap. The cap should be lifted or just have an insanely high cap so that it is a non issue.

It may have to do with the snapshot of our accounts taken prior to PTB.
That was my first guess aswell.

i honestly dislike this add on. while the idea is cool, in reality it just confuses me to where i actually got a setup and where i can see the aura of a trap that is completely useless in a random open area.
id prefer if he had all his traps from the very beginning (like the hag). its such a pain running from one side to the other, grab a trap and then return to the side your preparing your setup. it just costs too much time. time that is crucial in defending the gens.
I think in a perfect world Evan starting with all his traps and Iridescent stone being default he could be a top tier killer. He exert alot of map pressure in a very unique way.
-
I tend to Alternate between the meta killers so Billy and Nurse with more emphasis on nurse.
Least played would be spirit, Michael, Freddy, Legion, pig, hag as i do not own them.
-
This will solve all your problems.
-
I wish the devs would run bloodhunts on a regular schedule. Honestly it would be awesome if every other weekend they ran a 50% bloodhunt and the last weekend of every month run a double BP event. Late Friday to Early Monday.

You just have to play to really Git Gud. However there are some tutorial on YouTube that can give you some solid advice on how to improve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UoymuGcBzY
This here is a good video if you want to learn some good tips and tricks. Overall you just have to play, play, play. You will eventually start to get the hang of it and then begin to win alot more. You must remember though that there is alot of RNG in this game for both sides. You win some and you lose some regardless of how flawless you play. Its just the way it goes. Play, learn from your mistakes and you will dramatically increase your chances of winning. I also recommend trying to learn strong killers like Nurse, Hillbilly, Huntress, Spirit. There powers are alot morel lethal and when mastered can rain death upon the survivors.
-
Crossplay would honestly be amazing and healthy for the DBD community as a whole. Merging the segmented community into one massive pool of players would only benefit this game long term. However i am only for crossplay once the baseline consoles are optimized to run at 60FPS. If there remains a huge disparity in performance levels it will give the PC community an unfair advantage over the console players. Playing nurse with mouse and keyboard at 120FPS is a completely different game vs the exercise in frustration that is console nurse at 30fps.
-
absolutely i can get a good laugh. My last game as trapper i found someone in a corner at full health. With them body blocked in i placed a trap on them and it trapped them. Did not think it would work. Laughed my ass off.
-
I am happy they are taking optimization seriously. I prefer to play on low settings and that allows me to get around 100 - 120 FPS stable. Hopefully with these optimizations i will be able to hit a rock solid 144 FPS and on higher detail settings. However this is amazing for folks using the baseline consoles and those with potato computers. These optimizations will make the game more accessible to those with lower end hardware and hopefully lead to more growth within the community.

This is some low tier bait.

When I dont feel like doing Killer matches but need the daily bonus, I equip Rancor with any Killer, pretend to be AFK the entire match, wait for the Obsession to come and farm Chase points (or taunt), M1 and mori them.I legit laughed at this. That is so evil and yet so good. I am going to have to try that at some point.
-
Been seeing the same thing aswell. Had two games with rank 20 killers while being at Rank 1 myself. In addition to that i live in the Midwest US. I should be getting nothing but Canadians and other Americans but instead i an queuing up in high ping lobbies with people from Europe and the Middle east.

-
@powerbats said:
I've been getting matched with people from regions i've never really had before this last week and most of my lobbies I join in and the pings 250+.Some of my lobbies the ping when I join is 400-900 and it doesn't go down either and quite a few I see people i've played with before also leave.
I usually get matched with Western US, Australia, New Zealand, and occasionally Eastern US, Japan, China etc.
But lately I'm getting Russia, Turkey, Africa and other places and to answer @Master I've gotten killers all over the level spectrum even when the groups with swf aren't that big a difference.
Same! Today i have been matched with a wide spectrum of people. Germany, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, etc. All countries in the Eastern Hemisphere. Usually when i play its with other Americans and Canadians and we have green to maybe yellow ping but i keep getting Europe. Its weird.
-
Look what just happened for a second time today! I got another Rank 20 killer!

-
@Orion said:
I've read reports of killers whose pings spike once they get into the actual trial, due to the added strain on their system. That might be what's happening.I just had a match with 3 german SWF group and a european killer. I keep getting european killers but i should be getting matched with killers in North America.

PC. Since september of 2017.

I really like the changes and now come to think of it i am glad they post poned the DS nerf for so long because they were not satisfied with it initially. With this change the perk is no longer a ez escape with no effort. There are conditions that must be met and which can be countered by the killer and that counter also encourages healthy gameplay. IE to counter the DS dont tunnel off the hook, go for the rescuer. Spread the pain. This will encourage healthier gameplay hopefully.

Voice chat is allowed. It's not planned to be added into the game because it ended up breaking the immersion back when it was tested, but people are still free to use it if they wish.Coulden't text and voice chat be optional? Allow the player to disable them if they so choose and just have a little indicator next to their name that lets people know they have opted out of comms.
-
Leatherface is bad tbh. He is not the worst killer in the game but he is by no means good either. He is worth the buy however if for nothing else than his teachable perk BBQ and Chili. As for as playing him goes i only play him if i am memeing. Chainsaw facecamping, insidious basement defender, etc.
-
Perk is situational trash. It would be good if the exposed duration was bumped up a bit and the aura of the survivor was shown for a couple seconds after leaving the locker.
-
Generally its not really worth it unless your a completionist like me. I want to max everyone out so i do it for a continued sense of progression but it has no real benefits besides a small, virtually unnoticeable increase in item rarity in the bloodweb. Only character that it is really worth doing it on is claudette since her P3 outfit makes her invisible.
-
I disagree that Lithe needs a buff. Its a very balanced exhaustion perk in its present form. Survivor vaulting just recently got buffed with a sped up slow vault animation and the retention of momentum when vaulting. Speeding up vaulting even more would not be good for balance. I understand the reasoning as a means to mitigate bullshit hits but that has more to do with latency which is going to be addressed with dedicated servers this summer.
-
I like the gameplay of the event but i agree the bonus points for the event are very low. This has to be the lowest amount of BP for an event ever. I dont even bother to try and get more envelopes as its just not worth it. I would have to spend 50k to get one envelope and i would be lucky to get even 25% of that back in the game.
-
Only thing i disliked about Hallowed Blight was the lop sided incentives creating an agonizingly long killer queue time and the fact that once you got all the vials as survivor you could no longer participate in the event and earn bonus bloodpoints. Additional bonus BP was contingent on survivors needing more vials whereas with killer even if you maxed out your vials you could still get bonus points by using the cancerous hooks.
-
If it is safe and convenient for me to save someone i will but the event points come first. Really no incentive to stick your neck out for dying survivors once the gates are powered especially if you have a vessel. Choice between 10k points and 25+ towards event progression or a piddly 2k+ points for altruism with the large chance of getting caught and killed.
-
My guess is to keep us from having a ridiculous surplus that become useless at the end of the event. I remember my nurse ended the hallowed blight event with something like 87 petals that i could not use and in total across all characters i must have had a million BP worth of useless petals. I do agree however the the current 1 per bloodweb is a bit light. 1 envelope should be base for every bloodweb with a 50/50 chance for 2 to spawn.
-
If there is one thing i want out of this event it is that Feng dress. BHVR did an amazing job on it!
-
Thank you all.

Sure as ######### not looking forward to it.
