  • Eleven is 14 in season three and four and 16 in season five.

It depends on how aware you are of SH:f and where they are taking Hinako from, she could range anywhere from 15 to quite a bit older (without spoiling things for those here who clearly havn't played it). We don't have actual confirmation of her age, it's just basing it off of files this would be the youngest possible to do with the geysers in 1945 to the game being set in the "1960s", it would have to be slap on 1960 for her to be that age.

Dustin/Eleven are among the youngest in the survivor roster so, idk why we are picking and choosing now.

One of those old builds from back in the day with Ruin + BBQ every single game, plus a chase perk and something else.

Healthiest killer meta we've ever had.

I'd agree with this, definately prefer this over other builds we've recieved over time.

  • I suppose they could make a new killer who is designed around 2 players playing

The licensed ones I get because they cost money. But Haddie and Orlea aren't licensed.

Yet Lara is much higher than them too, so I don't think that holds much weight

  • @cogsturning said:

The amount of Sables is so absurd when surrounded by so many characters with single-digit numbers.

Probably because a lot of licensed characters look and sound nothing like the source material, hopefully one day they get fixed

  • Killer equivalent to this is probably Enduring/Lightborn, it makes the tools on the opposing side less effective.

A lot of survivors feel the same way about Lightborn? Does it need to be changed? Not necessarily.

I do think it'd be nice for killers to have something that reduces hindered/blindess also though. I don't recall if there is other debuffs killer gets.

  • I mean we can say that and I get what you mean, but it kind of can, it's used to get close enough for the hit confirm, it's like saying spirits power can't down IMO

    and punishes lower tier killers

This is such a non-argument. As long as super strong Killers exist, "low Tier Killers" is just a buzzword used. If we nerf Sprint Burst, nobody will stop playing Blight and suddenly starts playing Trapper.

What would help low tier Killers would be Buffs to low tier Killers. Not the nerf of Survivor Perks which would only result in strong Killers becoming stronger while low tier Killers will not be played.

Trappers traps if set up right can be a huge counter to sprint burst anyways, that's the point of them.

  • Yeah I feel like if this is going to be the norm we need to bring in the dust clouds from footsteps, maybe even for both sides. Just for the sake of quality of life.

  • I mean as a killer it's your job to go after the easiest prey, it's just the nature of the game. If your chase target has an exhaustion or a build that's wasting a lot of time, it's best to go for those who will get you the most pressure, as 9 times out of 10 the well equipped survivor will give away health states/resources for the easier one.

I don't think the issue is with builds, the issue is with the base game, that I don't mean "We need anti-tunnel" etc. We are already taking toys from both sides bit by bit that make the game fun for people in the name of balance. I feel like the fresh hook incentives was a wonderful idea.

Maps are smaller now, Killers have lots of mobility and newer killers have good anti loop, the fresh hook incentives was a great idea to help killers who didn't have mobility, say like furitive chase + Friends til the end would go a long way.

I don't think taking away one of the only options survivors have against High tiers is a good answer for this.

  • I think we'll see it in the Midchapter, I'm looking forward to the live balance updates

  • Can he cooldown whilst he is sliding? coz that might be where the issue lies, coz by the time he reaches you it'd be technically shorter. Coz it doesnt feel like long at all, could be a server relaying information late or something idk

Brother can we be serious, survivor footsteps are near inaudible compared to killers especially in chase (it's the exact reason why certain killer undetectable is just useless because you can hear them from a mile away). Grunts of pain, scratch marks, blood pools are the main way to hear survivors, elusive removes all of that.

Yes obviously on a car loop where you can just stare at the killer and the killer can stare at you that's not going to work, the argument is for loops that break LoS.

I personally want the perks to be fun, not overpowered, this isn't stopping the killer from hitting you or using your power to get you, not to mention killer instinct still procs on elusive doesn't it? So it's not as bad as you make it out to be.

Killer instinct is tied to very specific things that don't really just randomly trigger in chase, most info perks in chase are aura perks which shocker! Elusive counters that too.

Yes you can still physically hit survivors, that's not the point. The point is that elusive is too strong of a status effect to just be giving out willy nilly, you can straight up just disappear from a loop with no effort.

Edit: And you people can keep downvoting I don't care, this website is an echo chamber cesspool of survivor players who can't admit when things are overtuned and in favor of them.

I'm just going to say you're getting mad at the equivalent of a fogvial going off mid chase and the survivor chasing you… without the fog. LOL

Us vs Theming doesn't make your point better either, I'm just of the opinion I'd rather see perks on live before giving my full opinion honestly, coz PTB isn't always the best for it.

  • Well done! that's really imperessive good job!

  • Regardless if optimal or not, at the very least being able to stun her during fatigue and also the power put on cd when pallet breaking (to give survivors more options like create a wall with a vault with a pallet to mindgame against her).

Stun during fatigue is the main one coz it'll make her feel better to go against, more interactive also not consuming head on and applying exhaustion despite it did nothing to her. You could even go a step further to make stunning her impose a CD to make her more careful with her blinks, that way she can be strong but if she misplays, then the survivors can capitalise.

  • To back Cogsturning up, you just need to look at how long killer queues get up to, to the point where play while you wait (which I love btw) is helpful for killer at times.

There are genuine issues on both sides, I just feel like people like to dismiss and invalidate the other side without even playing it.

These are same windows but in different rotation, moreover there were pallets from both sides, so if survivor jump through window, there was a pallet and they were safe.

Oh okay, I figured it was the wierd set up on toba where there is a short wall into the main loop really close that soemtimes spawns, it's an odd one.

  • Arent these two windows kind of doodoo, one is a short wall you can just strafe and punish, it feels like it was designed for cut loose if anything.

How are you comparing being able to see where pallets and windows are to a survivor gaining THE STRONGEST STATUS EFFECT IN THE GAME FOR FREE.

????? It's like 4 different survivor perks in one status effect.

Like genuinely, there is no way a functioning brain that isn't just trying to be disingenuous for the sake of arguing, reaches the conclusion that those two things are equal.

Especially bringing up dissolution. Mind you, dissolution has been considered awful since it's inception, I'm not letting survivor players let this garbage revisionist history fly.

Dissolution only saw an uptick in playtime because the devs decided to add more pallets to damn near every single map in the game. Every map is now filled to the brim with pallets, so yes killers will start using a pallet related perk, that does not mean dissolution is a problem.

    It is quite literally as simple as 1 + 1 = 2.

Y'all make it so hard to take convos seriously because y'all do not care about balance. I will gladly point out problematic aspects of killers but consistently in discussion, y'all refuse to admit something is a problem. Even some other actually sane survivor players repeating the same thing… it's busted. You should not be able to gain one of the strongest status effects in the game, by just looping the killer normally.

Like no… a killer going undetectable is not the same as a survivor having elusive, if you cannot understand that then again. You're being disingenuous or you're a baby to the game, freshly installed it yesterday. Which atp that's not your fault you don't get it yet, but you're wrong.

To be fair the "Strongest" status effect you're on about is in chase where they are within eyesight of the killer, so that means footsteps are still able to be heard, it'd be different if it was in a loop over where the likes of Nowhere to hide etc can't work.

I personally want the perks to be fun, not overpowered, this isn't stopping the killer from hitting you or using your power to get you, not to mention killer instinct still procs on elusive doesn't it? So it's not as bad as you make it out to be.

I still think these perks have plenty counter play, they don't take the killers controller for them, it'd be different if they did. These aren't OG Made for This or Buckle up's rework not too long ago.

  • I've always wanted perks like these, nerf/buff where necessary, I just am going to say the concept.

Out of my way - An exhaustion perk that lets you shove a survivor or killer a meter or two back, it doesnt stun, it's just a short displacement (I want to shove fellow survivors out of or into, harms way if they try to sandbag me. LOL) or Hole Killers or intercept a tunnel by pushing them into the side of a door or choke point, will I take a hit for it? Probably, is it funny, worth it.

Crash Out - when your item is more than X percent charges, unlock the ability to throw your item off the killer for a 1s stun, does not affect killers carrying survivors, item will lose charges and your perk will go on a cooldown. ( edit: I just realised this was posted earlier, awesome)

Boon: Mitigation - your boon will be consumed for the next regression/gen block event for generator's in its radius (only once) Basically what I wanted Steadfast to be before it became a Hex perk.

5 steps ahead, fast track(before the nerf), self preservation, bada-bada boom, ghost notes, conviction, duty of care, do no harm, shoulder the burden, bardic, finesse, strength in shadows.
Are all recent perks that vary in use cases and are pretty effective at their jobs, especially 5STA being better windows, conviction being one of the best slugging and repositioning tools in the game, finesse being one of the most infuriating perks to play into, and of course shoulder the burden….

then you got killer with, turn back the clock, secret project, maybe phantom fear?, jagged compass, wretched fate, weave(pre nerf and pre franklins nerf), unforeseen, and friends till the end.

a couple of these are stretches on both sides, but on average survivor tends to get better perks more often, or they at least stay strong for a long time with finesse and shoulder being the 2 main contenders for not seeing a nerf.

ever since the dreaded gen kick meta with CoB/eruption/pop/overcharge, killer perks on average stay strong/meta for a lesser amount of time, with the outlier being pain res/dms as nothing else is as good as those two paired up. And this isn’t even considering killswitch scenarios with bhvr refusing to disable streetwise because it “wasn’t a problem” when it was objectively broken.

I don’t mean to be pedantic as you can honestly make a case for both sides and go back and forth all day it’s just the ‘let survivors have some new toys for once’ really rubbed me the wrong way, as with the current state of pallet density, survivors are at their strongest as anything below Mid B tier is beyond miserable to play

Edit: also this doesn’t take into F2P as most of survivors strongest options are on original characters and easily grindable. Especially with now that they lost the Halloween license you can get DS for free and SB, lithe, windows, botany, resilience, shoulder all being top perks that are easily accessible.

yet for killer a lot of the original perks aren’t good or require a completely different killers perk to be viable like with weave + franklins, like without franklins weave is terrible and you’d never run it. At least this problem is slowly getting better with the loss of the pinhead license.

Let me clarify in what I mean by "New toys" I mean new mechanics we've not gotten before: Full throttle is cool using the entity to lift up pallets, Permanent heal progress with lend a hand and a cool ability to see light trails and buff yourself by playing risky, lots of interaction is promoted in these perks and they sound useful. I'm thinking of fog vials etc, stuff which could be used in chase or to help others but were nerfed into uselessness for a while (they are fine now?). Bada Bada boom is a great example of a perk which could be great if we didn't get so many killers who didnt vault ever recently.

I'll give you some of these are fun but there is an issue of the likes of Bada Bada boom barely comes in use because of all the anti loop powers in the game, not to mention the killer it came out with never needs to vault in the first place.

Bardic is basically an overglorified emote, Mirrored illusion could have been something special too.

I want more perks like Dramaturgy/scene partner/plot twist which are fun to use but not absurdly broken

  • I want Road life to have a duration instead of "When you stop healing" incase someone wants healed while you have it. It's so niche as it is.

I like these changes, I'd love these to be more useful honestly.

  • I think it's about time we got interesting perks as survivor, they look so much fun for once. I can't count how many games last years anniversary I kept trying to get value out of the likes of Last Stand and It'd be like 1 out of 10 games, that's not good perk design.

I feel like this is the first set since Dramaturgy I've liked the look out of the 3 perks and can see actual use cases for them.

I think it's time to let survivor get new toys for once.

  • Best way to put it is the state Ghoul is in and has been since launch is irresponsible of the team, it needs addressed and the game would become a lot more enjoyable on survivor side consistently. As for Ghoul mains, I feel bad for them as ofc they want to play their killer, but i don't feel bad for the ones who play into the fact they are OP and BM everyone for a power trip.

In short, it needs dealt with ASAP, let's not have another blight situation for years where you're ignoring it for the sake of it.

  • Ghoul is irresponsible of the team the state he is in right now and for over a year (sorry)

Spirit has been an accessibility issue for years, and i'm not even talking about hard of hearing, it's the NEED to wear a headset so playing on a tv or the like without headphones is just not fun, tbf this also goes for her too if you aren't a headphone user she can't function either.

if a survivor does the giddy at an exit gate i'm tunnelling them irl

But what if you could do it on their death hook, I'd laugh so hard if a killer did that to me. I've always played more aggressively trying to meme with the killer as we do chase (I mainly nod to see if they nod back, or if they whiff and it looked like it should have hit I just stare at where it missed and back to them).

Being able to emote with fellow survivors or the killer when something happens would heighten my interactions even more, it's why I really want it. I try to do it with bardic inspiration atm, but emotes would be wonderful.

  • I want emotes and item skins as well honestly, it'd be great if we just had more player customization

  • I still see good ones, I just feel if she was made 115 she might still be in a wierd place, a lazy fix for her.

Maybe a CD to allow her to traverse to traps without spending them with some sound tells, like Sadako/Springtrap/Demo/Draculabat mobility. Rewarding set up, but also giving survivors ways to interact with her, kind of like she has in addons.

I think the issue why they are afraid to buff her, is some of her addons can be really strong in the right hands? Like she has one of the better add-on varieties to change her playstyle.

  • I still see him a few times, just not every other game, I really enjoy playing against him now for the most part, and even as him myself.

Now tackle Ghoul and nurse please.

  • @BongoBoys said:

His grab attack has just gotta be changed like Nurse was where it doesn't proc perks

His grab attack shouldn't lock survivors in place anymore

I feel like it need to just be a special attack that hits when it lands next to you with the first hit, the lock on needs to go entirely, you should have to connect a hit, not a ranged attack.

  • I really just want an addon that lets me practice their shots better especially with the ability to shoot them to the sky now. Putting them in 2v8 would give me a good environment to practice them in.

  • @TsukiYurei said:

Stop please less legendaries or preferably remove them for good.

It ruins the personal touch of our personalities mixing cosmetic pieces we have collected.

Give us full Survivor/Killer Chapters that way at least we can customise depending on said licence.

    Nothing against Tifa or FF7

It doesn't you're just being silly honestly, I use both licensed and unlicensed outfits. My main is Unknown and the only reason I dont have an unlicensed survivor main yet is coz there isn't one they've made yet which screams to me, so I play quite the variety instead based on my mood.

as for OP, I'd love Aerith running from Sephiroth as a chapter, it'd be really funny plus Sephiroth would probably scary in the DBD setting, Castlevania chapter proves as much dark fantasy can work in the game, especially if you use the OG FF7 as reference. Slasher moments in Shinra HQ, body horror as well, Nibelheim was a horrific scenario, plenty to work with.

They dont listen to the actual veterans in this game. Play against any decent survivors at high mmr and youll get it dude otherwise you have no clue what youre talking about

That's not really an arguement when you have no idea of knowing you're at it lol

Post nerfs hes literal B tier. He was A tier pre cooldown after pallet break but he gets looped by decent survivors and struggles on indoor maps. If youre getting body blocked then that means youre just trying to hold W which you cant do against him. Bad survivors got him nerfed to begin with and he didnt need one. His power was already lackluster to begin with lol

So far from the truth with Dissolution + Blood Favor, and his Bamboozle add on, people keep forgetting glaring problematic options the killer has.

He does need changed, the community pretty much agrees on it, there is no one i know who doesn't hate ghoul.

Survivors have gotten better look wise, but Swamp looks the same as the Asylum maps, and that realm had a graphical rework.

New Autohaven looks awful, the Fallen Refuge looks awful, new Haddonfield looks like a lame COD map more than a DBD map.

Fallen Refuge isn't really fair to compare, its barely a map to begin with. Haddonfield isn't in the game anymore so don't need to worry about that.

Autohaven I agree with, it needs fixed.

  • @SoGo said:

Anyone who says that new dbd looks better is actively in denial.

Old dbd looked gorgeous in many cases, was atmospheric and actually eerie.

New DbD maps look lifeless. The only thing that improved were the textures, everything else has gone downhill

I agree that the perfomance doesn't match the current fidelity of models, but lighting/materials etc we are slowly getting there step by step

I don't agree, I have clips of me playing og DBD and while I prefer the old animations in some cases, the game has gotten better looking over time. You just need to compare swamp to the new things and also Cheryl to newer survivors, its like night and day.

I'm pretty sure this is them just scratching the surface too with their visual upgrades, if everything were to look t he quality of Trickster's delusion. We'd be in for a treat.

There is the sin system and the other realm too, plus the artifact, so there is more to it than say singularity I'd say.

  • @linusmilz said:

the lithe issue isnt stacking speed. the issue is having lithe activate at all, making it even more free than it already is. any means is balanced because it punishes killers for not kicking pallets. throttle doesnt give you a chance.

and after 60s its a pallet again. that can again be used to activate lithe and be reset and after another 60s its shack pallet the third and so on and so on. this perk is horribly designed, lets be real

So you're saying Lithe is an issue? It's not the new perk then? Technically speaking you'd get the same distance as you did without it, arguably more if the killer kicked the pallet, but if you lift the pallet up you can just keep going after them, potentially keeping bloodlust too:

-What if you are a mobility killer you can rush them down anyways
-If there is another survivor nearby, they can't use that pallet, the other player has made it difficult for them

Like it's too early to tell rn, It's something new and unique, if you were Jason you can punish the vault to begin with, with the spear too and huntress. Let survivors have something new for once.

  • @linusmilz said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4081924#Comment_4081924

you can combine it with lithe and that shack pallet will hurt in 1 minute as much as it does the first time. right after saying "we don't intend to change pallet density" this perk feels like a slap in the face

    Diminishing returns says hello

it's still a pallet blocked off for 60s

  • @DrFrozen said:

After playing PTB this perk Wide Open Throttle feels kinda insane (the one that gives you speed and picks up a pallet) cause it's not an exhaustion perk and has a regular cooldown. So basically after stunning a killer you can give a god pallet a 2nd life XDDDDD.

Tbh I can't wait to use it as a bully squad but playing against 4 these perks is going to feel miserable for a killer with infinite pallets and no counterplay xDDDDD

I guess the Nurse is the only that will have a chance against this and I'll have to quit playing the trapper :<

Wouldn't trapper make it hard to vault said pallet into the trap?

As for the nurse comment from @Mrpugalug916 I feel perks like this counter her more than anything as the survivor as more speed to make your blink harder to hit/distance for you to miss.

Let's not forget the pallet is blocked for other survivors essentially a blood warden for 60 seconds, you switch target to someone else nearby and that survivor has potentially put others in a bad spot.

I just wish they would stop nerfing everything into oblivion before they even leave the PTB. While it gives data, the PTB doesn’t utilize matchmaking when creating a lobby. It’s not reliable data.

Fog vials being nerfed into “never use” status 2 weeks after a new item released after 9 years was very disheartening. This stuff also happens on the killer side, but I feel like that is one of the most egregious decisions recently.

Yet they leave Ghoul as is for nearly 2 years, wooo /s

  • Wraith is someone if they change he'd just be boring to play against, he is in a decent place right now without needing a massive power rework.

Turn Back the Clock has insane value on him. Huntress is just fun to throw things at people, her only weakness is not being able to traverse the map quickly honestly.

They are just older killers, they do their job, no reason to fix what isn't broken IMO.

The new hex is literally twack (skull merchant perks, however it's spelled) and the one with haste on blind and stun... The haste on blind is similar to shadowborn.

Survivor perks, the permanent charges is like fast track for healing, the haste perk is budget lithe with no exhaustion and picking up the pallet ability (stun the killer in shack and vault back to pick up the shack pallet and vault speed to not get hit or lithe cuz those two perks can stack, pretty strong imo).

Not really that unique I would say.

The pallet vault perk is unique, there is nothing like that on surv side? and perma healing charges is new too

he has a perk like secret project that works well enough on its own, I love the idea of stealth in endgame, sounds terrifying.

I'm excited to try them, I love entity themed survivor perks

  • We are getting some unique perks in the new ptb, so I'm hopeful we'll get more interesting powers as time goes on for both killer and survivor.

That said I love 2v8 for its simplicity sometimes, it's a welcome variety.
