nah. if any killer approaches the meta that is good at liberally injuring survivors, the survivor meta will adapt and start incorporating more medics.
we aren't in a medic meta so the class is kind of just just there as an afterthought. fill Escapist first then fill the rest. the easy injuries will naturally bring about more medic double heal resets. congrats on biting 5 people, now 2 of them clicked a button and they're full hp.
if people are playing medic, some killers may feel like playing Pyramid Head.
Except people mainly queue up in groups of 2 coz play while you wait, even if you ignore the fact deep wounds exist for some reason which you are doing and Oni insta downs basically voiding medic in the first place, "Expecting" stangers to play META is quite frank a bit too optimistic. Medic doesnt work through deep wounds.
This is a casual mode and a lot of people are going to be playing without much awareness of what is META. -
Having a limit on the avoid list would be helpful and make it reset every week or so, just means if there is a cheater in the queue or the like you can have a bit more control without it being abused.

the hits are a non issue, ghoul does not have the same pressure that legion had. legions arguably better in 2v8.
the real point of contention would be the latch, that alone could probably make Slinger entirely redundant.
I'm sorry but it will be an issue, being able to injure easily is always a huge boon in 2v8, pair that with Oni for example we're back to square one.
If they want to test him, do it on PTB if anything, but he is one killer that would make me stop playing the mode for a while and I know many others too. The survey is going to be interesting, as a lot of killers probably want him but survivors don't want to see him.
That said if they fixed his pain points regarding the first hit among other things, I'd not have an issue with them. I'd rather they be fun to play against and as like Blight currently is. -
I really hope this thread gets listened to, lots of great points here.
-
I love the suggestions, any QoL/bug fixes for her I'd love coz that's what puts me off playing her

I'd love a map based outfit loadout system <3 its always uncomfortable seeing someone dressed for summer in the ormond mines map LOL

Tbf I've seen almost no Blights and few Nurses this 2v8, and they were probably pretty simple to add. Again, I'd love to have Henry, I've been maining him since he came out, but I get why they wouldn't want to deal with the issues of getting him right just for very few people to play him. They'd be better off adding simpler killers, like Clown or Dredge.
I also agree with what Wildcard said about the aura read. I wouldn't want him added just to be hated or removed either, because the aura would go hard on him.
I've seen a lot of blight in 2v8, I really enjoy going against him now. I've even started playing him myself!
-
I honestly kind of wish it was either the old version, or just for the user
Coz it really limits what fun exhaustion classes we can get, such as Head on -

I just find it horrible because the darkness combined with this foggy look just hurts my eyes. Besides that I feel like theres not much more unfun than not being able to see xD
That's fair, I like the uneasiness of the killer being around the corner at any moment. I definately understand where you are coming from.
-
I'd love their to be a more enticing price from invocations, because perma broken is just not it for the time investment.
Either make the time investment much much less, or change the "price" to something less severe. -

Except some people complaining about the queue times there's almost no one complaining about it, what do you mean? Sure some about the catch up mechanic or escapist, maybe about some bugs or killer combinations, but there not really complaining about this mode itself - it's pretty fun, so I don't see a reason for that ether.
The only thing you could say that they bring it up too often but honestly: I'd rather have 2vs8 every time than lights out ever again. This mode is just horrible.
I wouldn't mind Lights out if it was more of a killer without power versus survivors without powers/perks sort of situation.
Or at least limit the killers available, coz Legion was the only killer I was like ew when it came to the mode. -
Give us non-human survivors!! <3
-
Yes, yes,and yes lol
-
Krauser would be great for Wesker
Much how Alexia from C:V could work over nemesis (She uses Vines) and just change the blue fire effect to red blood fire she has.
I also think U3 over Unknown would be great too, coz of the RE4make seperate ways halucinations -

Not the 500 people on Twitter and Reddit complaining about every little thing in the game. In other words, the tens of thousands of players out there that aren't terminally online and who just play the game. The players that don't join in with discussions on socials, the ones an in game survey is specifically designed to reach. That's who the wider community is.
Otherwise, why bother even doing a survey at all? BHVR could just ask what people want in the mode with a Reddit or Twitter poll and call it a day.
You say the decision has been made. OK, well why not a vote on who should be booted out next? Unless I slipped into a parallel universe where Blight and Spirit are viewed as fun to verse, they could be next. Or maybe Oni, who has his power all the time because there's a second Killer on the map. Let's keep voting until all we have left is no traps Trapper on RPD.
Obviously I'm being a little bit flippant, but I think BHVR should have just said to players, in the nicest way possible, this is a cartoony no holds barred OOT mode and if you're not down for that, go make the 1V4 queues shorter or else play something else. Gate keeping a goofy silly mode like 2V8 in this way is just totally ridiculous in my view.
No one wants anyone else booted out, Legion was legit unhealthy for the mode. People who play 2v8 like it's 1v4 won't understand so I'll do my best to explain for you:
-Legion functions more like a support class in 2v8, they share their killer instinct and get free hits on multiple survivors, what they lack for in their own power to down on their own, they have constant pressure.
-You add a second killer into the mix, say Blight/Nurse/Wraith/Spirit. Who thrive off of hitting and running capitalising off of recovering survivors/information coz of their mobility/stealth. You get quick downs.
-Survivors constantly in a state of deep mending so long as the Legion focuses on using their power
Then that's not even considering if you are unfortunate enough to get RPD, where their killer instinct radius is pretty much a constant sounce of information for the 2nd killer.
this is the last I'm going to say on the matter, if you can't understand this you simply weren't playing against them. You need to understand this mode isn't just 1v4 again, killer application is very different in 2v8. -

Because ghoul is a m1 killer? same reason why legion is not 4.4? Like yes low mmr survivors are struggling with everything but it doesn't mean ghoul has to be completely unplayable on above average mmr just because he is ,,unfun'' to go against
They are not an m1 killer, you literally use their power all the time.
I also don't think making them more fun to interact with doesn't mean they will be unviable lol it's mainly the first injury and how it stuns/can still grab through obstacles which are the main pain points. -

I don't dislike it, but not having a single killer I enjoy really gets tiring after a few games.

I agree, then.
That's fair, I've taken the opportunnity to learn new killers, but I also mainly play survivor when I play solo in it. I just enjoy the chaos, plus the anti-slug etc is nice.

I’ve seen an increase in 4 man slugging even after fast track got gutted.
Obviously. Fast Track was only the excuse, as always. The same stuff as "Killers tunnel because of X". Then X gets changed and Killers still tunnel.
Without some form of Basekit Anti-Slugging, slugging will also remain popular, because it provides the same map pressure as hooking does, while taking less time.
And this right here is why I mainly play 2v8 currently lol
-
@GeneralV said:
I don't think they should can it, but I do think they shouldn't bring it back unless they have two new killers added per iteration.
I personally disagree because I do enjoy the mode, regardless of changes or none. I just think people need to realise it's not for them.
Eventually if there isn't enough people playing that's when the stats start talking, otherwise rn, I see plenty people playing it. It's mainly Core DBD players who seem bothered by it. -

The anti bm mechanic aint really a problem though? The sin if full can only get exiled if you're downed, if your at the gates that doesn't matter tbag and BM all you want and as long as you don't do it during a match it's no problem
I think it is, as it can be a form of gameplay expression which the game has very little of already. Unless they are adding emotes in I see no reason to punish survivors for t-bagging.
What about the people who t-bag each other to say hi? or are t bagging approaching gens together, we only have so many ways to talk to our fellow survs in solo Q, "Punishing" this is going to make this killer hated.
But to be fair I don't know how this power works, I'm just going off people telling me "They punish you for spamming crouch". -
@TamaraLatte said:
Yeah, add them to 2v8, but remove them from 1v4. They're the least interactive killer in the game and extremely boring to vs.
I like playing against her in 1v4, which is a shame coz no one plays her because of her bugs.

Sure, I know what DBD Twitter/Reddit/Forums all think about the Legion being in 2V8. But I don't recall the wider community getting a say on that. So what's the harm in putting the option there for players to vote on?
If the Legion still gets a resounding no, then fair enough, they shouldn't be in the mode. With this Survey BHVR had a real chance to ask the wider community their views on Legion being in 2V8 and they didn't take it. Just a weird anti-democratic choice to flat out refuse to put them into the mix, imo.
So you say socials say they don't want them in 2v8, then suddenly saying the "wider community" who is that by your terms? Because you're saying they are listening with that statement lol
The reason it's not there to vote on is a decision has already been made and you can move on, you can play them in 1v4. -
@tjt85 said:
Putting my vote to readmit The Legion back into the mode here since I didn't get that option in the survey.
Thanks for that, BHVR. Very democratic of you.
You already got an attempt and an answer for that though? Ontop of good reasoning to do with them saying they don't want to rework entire powers just for the mode. They want to focus on stuff which will not take much effort to put in rn

This mode is only popular for ultra casual players and hurts the game in many ways :
- awful killers' queue time in 1v4 (and 2v8)
- awful matchmaking for 3 weeks in 1v4
It makes the game unplayable on the killer side, it is not acceptable in 2026 to have to deal with 10+ minutes queue times the whole day.
Why do you keep bringing this mode while half the playerbase is complaining about it ?
I'm sorry but the people who are playing 2v8 are mostly people who wouldn't even touch 1v4 in the first place. Sure there are some, but for the most part why would "Ultra Casual players" queue for 1v4?

It‘s very silent for survivors and doesn’t give you good audio clues for when she uses her abillity.
I'm starting to think people sound set ups don't play bass very well? Coz it was the same for Were-Elk. I can hear her power just fine with the new skin but I use headphones. Do you play with tv speakers?
Playing DBD without headphones can be really frustrating, especially against the likes of spirit, so I relate there. -

It really isn't.
Sure, stacking is gone, but in exchange, the speed at which Exhaustion vanishes is effectively doubled.
And, idk about you, but Sprint Burst with a 24 second cooldown is much stronger than with 40.
No it is stronger for sure, just also remember that it's that long if you ARE NOT running. It's still a long time, it mainly punishes hit and run playstyles more than anything.
there is no way a person in chase can get that easily without already having it depleted from not being in chase before hand, which means they havn't used their exhaustion yet
I need you to show me a chase where it is a problem so I can understand it better, coz right now I don't see a logical application for this perspective where someone is problematically using Exhaustion multiple times in one chase. -

Yes, that's because it's Vigil that's the root of the problem here.
A nerf to Vigil should happen one day, undeniably.
But, this perk could be good, if it actually affeced anything outside of few exhaustion perks, Plot Twist and Buckle Up.
I think it's still 22s of Exhaustion even with Vigil, right? Which means if the killer hasn't hit a walking survivor in 22s, that's kind of a map or skill issue, especially with the powers in the game.
Usually when this sort of thing is able to be pulled off, the killer broke off mid chase to chase someone else, or in worst case scenario very powerful map resources were used to enable this.
The main pain point of the perk is gone now, the stacking. -
I feel like this may be the case as to why the hit checks are so wierd to do with it lol
So I think it's a valid discussion to have, if the game were to read better on survivor side when getting hit, the game would feel a lot better to play. One great example is the new Blight hitbox reads REALLY bad with the current netcode. -

Thanks for hearing me out on that and laying this all out! I'll add this to the feedback we're gathering.
I also really want to point out that in solo Q, some people have accessibility issues with skill checks as it is (limited motorskills and/or eyesight) and a team mate using this and it applies to said persons gen, it's going to be really hard to get value from this without stake out or the like.
-
I still get jumpscared often, like I was mid chase with one killer and Wesker zoomed in with no TR from off screen and I screamed lmao
Or when I play without headphones sometimes on my steam deck I get jumpscared too. Horror is subjective, there is a lot of horror aesthetic left in the game, I just think a lot of us are desensitised to it. I feel what makes DBD so popular is it is an accessible horror experience (in terms of scares).
Like I showed a relative it once and they were made really uncomfortable by the hooks and the hanging etc. It really is just subjective IMO
Some maps also are just more horror focused than others, like Midwhich Elementary, maybe it's just the unlicensed maps which are missing that horror feel. -
Protecting the gen, or having it consumed when a gen regression event takes place protecting it from it I feel is way more healthier. Make it reveal the aura of the protected gen too
No reason to debuff others, it's just going to be complained about -
I like both sides on 2v8, it's just a shame the queues for killer are so long. Fortunately for someone like me I can play both sides and be happy with it.
I love playing Huntress in this mode and I'd love love love if I got Trickster/Unknown -
There is a fix on the way at the end of the year supposedly, there was an article on IGN about it if I recall.
-
Yeah I'd much rather Steadfast acted like a barrier to a regression or lock event then consumes the boon or something. Even if it had tokens or the like as well, anything is better than this.

Yeah, DBD James looks like cheap copy
Cybil looks better in that regard she has some ressemblance, Heather need full rework she looks nothing like SH3 and Maria looks a bit off buy mostly fine igAnd yeah I agree, they need to revisit them with proper rework , voice lines and lobby music
If they have SH2 Remake James in mind I'd like it to be separate skin as James rn was made based on OG SH2Thats fair, if only though, maybe one day

DBD's James based on OG SH2 but he still looks way off, Remake James should be as separate skin and not a rework.
That's how James actually look:DBD James looks nothing like SH2 james though, as does neither Cybil when compared to SH1, Heather or Maria (and her stains on her back)
They all need to be made to look more like themselves. As for James I wouldn't mind either version, he just needs to look better than he does, its awful. -
It's the high mobility killers mainly which get this advantage because of how slow the servers tick, which is exactly why we need to stop making and also keeping the dash slop killers strong: if they aren't going to fix the servers.

If I remember correctly, you could vote for the Boon-Perk or the Crow-Perk. I voted for the Crow-Perk, simply because I thought that Crows are underused and Boon-Perks are terrible anyway. But I was not prepared for THAT Boon-Perk, this is a Killer Perk, without a doubt. Even tho I have seen people saying that the Perk is strong because of the Perma Gen Progression, which just shows that some people dont think too much about things like that.
I am not really blown away by either of those Perks, the Killer Perks are overall better than the Survivor Perks, but I dont think any of those will be used. E.g. even if the Cooldown would not be as big as it is on Lay Waste, PGTW is just better without any doubt (even pre-Buff PGTW would be better).
But Steadfast is a new low when creating Survivor Perks.
Yeah I voted for the crows too, I really wanted to find out what kind of token buff they could give us with it
-
I personally would prefer it to consume the boon when a generator damage action is used stopping it from taking damage, like a counter for turn back the clock/pain res
Thats sort of what I was expecting by "Permanent", not slowing down the gen… this is going to cause so much drama with those who bring it. -

It really is though. I'm not saying killers should never help their partners… but if they so happen to need the help and you go over to help, depending on where you both are you're probably losing at least 2 gens if not more in exchange for that hook state.
I'll agree it's situational, but you can end chases instantly with 2 killers sometimes you get people trying to save said person and the other killer is there to help punish it. Lightbearer/palletsaves can get out of hand quickly when playing solo also.
Usually I split off in the late game (coz I find its easier to since less gens), but I prefer to stay nearby just incase, especially as like Huntress where I can easily deliver follow up hits from range. If Survs get one half of the map done then it makes the late game harder for them.
I Just find it easier to work together. And on the topic of team strats for solo Q, I hate Oni's design, being his housekeeper picking up his slugs is really boring. -
A locker trap would be so funny with deception, it wouldn't work on aware killers but it would be so funny when it works.
