Correct, the snowmen do not respawn if hit when a Survivor is hiding inside them.
If you pop them when empty, they respawn after 15 seconds.

It works as intended, if you want to sabo, you have to do it in a smart way, while the Killer is going to a hook carrying a Survivor and you sabo to make them wiggle out.

The hooks respawn after 30 seconds, if I recall correctly.

The matchmaking system is based on your hidden MMR, Grades take no part in this process, they are pretty much just an indication of playtime.

Not sure how daily rewards are set this week but it seems I got them today at once
I think everyone got 130K with yesterday's rewards.

And that's why I really like the decision of the devs to reward a survivor their reward, no matter if they die. I really would like if they do the same thing towards the anniversary events, so people don't have to try hard for their escape and just can have fun and maybe farm a bit more when there are a lot of cakes burned.
Agreed, I like this way much more than other events.

This sadly happens in every multiplayer game, some people just play to ruin other players' fun.
From people spawn camping new players and low levels in WoW back in the days to these players who refuse to participate to the normal gameplay just to deny other people's unlocks.
Luckily not everyone is like that, don't let these players ruin your day.

This also happened today, because hits apparently did not look ok for them but it did for me.
Please report that to Steam if you haven't, that's not ok whatsoever.

The rewards are those listed in the main thread, the unlocks are random, regardless of the character you are using, so you don't need to play Mikaela to unlock her cosmetic, or Jonah to unlock his, for example.

Correct, it's a random unlock from that pool, regardless of the role or character you are playing.

You don't need to escape to get the cosmetics, you just need to get hit when inside a snowman.

From December 9th 11am ET - 23rd December 11am ET DbD is becoming holiday themed. There'll be holiday-themed hooks, lockers, generators and barrels.
The Winter Party Starter will be found in the Bloodwebs of the survivors.
Snowmen will be found inside every trial - 6 of them in fact.
These Snowmen will supply shelter to the survivor in their time of need, perhaps you can even escape through the Exit Gates in one!
In order to unlock a winter cosmetic you must do one of the following -
- If a Survivor uses a Snowman to protect themselves from a Killer's attack
- If a Killer hits a Snowman while a Survivor is hiding inside
- If a Survivor escapes through the Exit Gates while inside a Snowman
(you don't need to escape the match to get the cosmetic, it will be rewarded randomly at the end of the trial)
You will earn a random killer or survivor reward and it does not need to be for the character you are playing in the trial:
Cosmetics for:
- The Wraith - Spine Candy
- The Hag - Garland Talon
- Yun-Jin Lee - The Loneliest Time
- Mikaela Reid - Jolly Holiday Debt
- Jonah Vasquez - Code-Cracker
- The Artist - Frosty Eyes
- The Trickster - Frosty Eyes
Charms:
- Gift Hatch
- Christmas Inferno
- Cocoa Dip

If you didn't see the cosmetics you got, check the list in that thread and see if you got any of those.

Sounds like the Killer was having connection issues more than anything else, the snowmen seem fine for what I've seen so far.

As Survivor you get a random cosmetic of the mentioned list if you get hit while hiding in a snowman or if you escape while in a snowman, as Killer you simply need to hit a Survivor who is hiding in a snowman.
It doesn't matter the role or the character you are playing, you will get a random cosmetic from that pool.
(Sorry for repeating snowman so many times!)

Either way, fantastic event! I love how survivors and killers both need to participate in it in order to get the rewards - it's a really healthy design. Very glad it no longer hinges on survivors escaping. And those snowmen are hilarious. I've already had a Steve burst out of a snowman next to a hook and try to drop a pallet on me while I carried someone.
The rewards are random, the character you are playing doesn't matter.

You don't have to escape with the sparkles, those just mean you unlocked the cosmetics.

Escaping as a snowman is not the only way to unlock cosmetics for the Survivors, being hit while hiding in one also gives you a cosmetic.

If you are 100% sure you didn't get those rewards, then you can contact Support and they should be able to help you.

I wonder if there's an issue with the pop-ups, are you all sure you didn't get the points/shards at all?
I got all the rewards so far, but of course the rift fragments don't have a pop-up, so my question is if it's just an issue with the pop-ups not showing up.
Let me know and I'll forward the issue in the meantime.

When your David King reaches level 35, he will get the Dead Hard teachable on his bloodweb, once you buy it, the perk will be unlocked on every character.
The teachables are orange colored perks, Dead Hard will be like this on your level 35 bloodweb:

To get Dead Hard on every character you need to unlock the teachable, either leveling up David King or buying it from the Shrine of Secrets.
