Very well said arguments without sounding too biased.
And I’m glad you bring up the Trickster comparison… he’s been getting looked at more frequently (balance, cosmetic, and Rift-wise) than Slinger despite being out for less time. It’s very strange how BHVR decides to prioritize their killer balancing (and game balancing in general).
They also sometimes love to make big splashes when only a small ripple is needed: case in point - Deathslinger. Instead of making a small change, such as increasing action delay when exiting ADS, they completely gut him.
-
The killer doesn’t matter, it’s the player.
Yesterday I was duo’ing and went up against a Nurse Twitch streamer who got ran by my friend for 3 minutes. Since he was the last one alive (aside from one of the slugged randoms) he started smacking him on hook. A NURSE.
I went into his stream to spread some love (make fun of how he got ran by one player for 3 minutes then smacking them when they finally caught them) and the streamer said he smacks people on hook to “get a salty reaction”.
So yeah, it’s the player not the killer they pick.

You just demonstrated your failure to grasp video game terminology while simultaneously insulting people. Congrats.
Fixing a bug is not a buff. Full stop. Just quoting a sentence from wikipedia doesn't change that fact.
Was this not a change to improve the viability of a perk? Perhaps you’re the one who doesn’t understand the terminology.

The problem is when people play a game that has made them the server for so long, and things begin to shift to a more neutral, secure, and unbiased fairer authority (like a server), they cry about it. Killer players still get the edge on hits per the devs: "...hits are still handled on the Killer’s end as they were before..." so not everything has to be killer-sided. DH and pallets are server-based, not even Survivor-sided, and that is apparently too much. The tremendous competitive advantage involving everything being killer-sided is finally moving towards server-based checks so I understand the crying.
I’m merely talking about the definition of the term “buff”.
The change is making Dead Hard more reliable, therefore more viable, which fits the definition.
^ This is an objectively unbiased statement.

You will dodge a hit more often now because of this change. How is it not buff?
Survivor Mains don’t understand simple, terminology… or perhaps they don’t want their fragile egos hurt. They couldn’t possibly be getting carried by a perk, right?
Buff (video gaming), a change to a weapon or ability that deems it more viable for game balance.
By making Dead Hard “work as intended”, as they innocently put it, this perk now becomes insanely more viable. There are no ands, ifs or buts here - this is a straight up buff.
-
That middle icon is cursed.
-
crossover events be like…
FOR HONOR DEVS: New gameplay, AI
DBD DEVS: Charms
-
Much easier to play against, especially if you have Iron Will.
-
STBFL is a very good perk, which obviously shines on killers with M2 attacks (Demo and Nemmy probably being the biggest benefactors).
It’s tough to manage if the obsession is constantly in your face but it can otherwise win you games versus altruistic survivors than bodyblock or rush hooks.
-
@Dumpstick The time investment required to down/tunnel someone with frenzy hits is significantly longer than simply M1’ing. This isn’t a Legion problem.
-
Xbox Series X, cross play on.
I get the infinite screen when I start to load into a game from a lobby. I’m SWFing with between 1-3 teammates.

It's not a matter of viability. It's a matter of being completely unfair with 0 counter.
It’s not unfair at all. You will go down eventually to every killer due to limited resources and bloodlust.

I love how you never break the character here.
How is your road to 50k blink attacks going btw?
I don’t know if he’s trolling or legitimately believes what he says about killers being overpowered.

50 seconds minimum to down a survivor? Legion still loses.

@Guest1567432 said:
Slow/stop healing= What do you think survivors will do?.....oh thats right hammer out gens as fast as possible.
Yeah, this.
I’ll stick to gen regression until the game is balanced, save for tome challenges or when I feel like running specific niche/meme build.

Regional pricing is set per Country, which is pretty standard for all game (including on Steam). It's pretty standard online practice to bring different regions in line with others.
Can someone circumvent this by changing their region?

The add on is still way too strong. Moving at that speed makes countering her near impossible since you can’t react to her sounds
No it’s not.

In Soviet Russia, cosmetics pay you.

@C3Tooth said:
The downside of not seeing scratch mark is pretty good for +40% speed. The problem is the dried Cherry addon which has the same downside. Mean using both of these addon only give 1 downside.
MD ring should replace the downside with "not able to hear".
So if you use these 2 addon, you dont see scratch mark or hear at all. But you have massive speed and instinct already.
There should never be a nerf that makes Spirit deaf. Scratch marks immediately disappear when in phase now if you use MDR or DCB, it’s annoying as hell - and if the survivor has Iron Will it makes it a nightmare for tracking if they broke LOS.
MDR should not be touched now that Spirit got nerfed.
-
@Sluzzy said:
Yes, it should have been waited to see how they would do live. Its why survivors can't have good perks, always nerfing them into uselessness.
LMAO.
I guess BT, Unbreakable, DS, Dead Hard, Deliverance, etc. aren’t good enough.
Welp, Sluzzy gave us a revelation guys - BHVR is killer sided!!

Yeah she’s still strong and in control in the chase, but survivors now have a choice to do something. She’s in a great spot right now.
I would disagree that Spirit is in control of the chase, especially if survivors are running Iron Will.
The only time I would say she’s in control is if you’re out in the open without a perk that eliminates grunts of pain. But at loops (pallets/windows) you can tell exactly which side she’s on and therefore dictate how the chase will go.

Tbf most people saying they'll boycott moreso mean no more spending money, so it doesn't mean much.
Then it’s not really a boycott/protest. Like you said, it doesn’t mean anything if you keep playing the game.

I’m just stating a fact. Not saying I’m necessarily enjoying the update.

Judging by the 66,000+ on Steam alone playing today it doesn’t seem like this NFT business is causing any kind of major boycott.

This is what gets me more than anything. The consistent message from BHVR is that they care way too much about money rather than customer satisfaction, or respect for that matter.

Use the Yellow add-ons that increase speed and duration. They do just enough to make you more efficient while not making you add-on reliant.

For me it’s the opposite.

Play Plague.

I like how you have to jump immediately from "either do things that destroy the environment or be completely 100% environmentally conscious" in order to make your (pointless? what even are you defending here?) argument, as if small changes don't make big impacts.
There are environmentally damaging things we can't yet unincorporate into our lifestyles. NFTs literally have absolutely no use. It's not that hard to see the difference, so my feeling is you're just being contrary for the sake of it.
I guess I just need to write out an essay next time I want to point something out, otherwise people will just assume what I’m thinking…

i mean... i get where youre coming from, but why even bother making such pointless comments in the first place... like most of us know what we are talking about, i dont understand why you have to probe further. its clearly bad, just call it out. there are some things which are a necessary evil
I already agreed that NFTs are a waste of resources. The only thing I’m calling out is that a lot of people complain about things they don’t truly believe in (like being environmentally friendly).

This is such a stupid argument i can literally feel my IQ decreasing. Cars DO hurt the environment, there IS an outrage over it. Theres literally entire communities of people dedicated to hating on urban sprawl developments that require a car to get anywhere. Cars are awful for the environment and everybody knows it, but how about you try boycotting a car and see if you can get to work? They're a necessary evil until corporations at large downsize urban sprawl and allow for greener means of travel. Comparatively NFT's are completely useless and serve 0 purpose in comparison to things like cars, they are simply an environmentally destructive method of money laundering and nothing else. Meaning theres 0 repercussions to boycotting such an asinine form of product.
I get you aren't a scientist, but don't make stupid arguments on things you don't understand.
Get off your high horse buddy. I’m strictly talking about people here on this forum.
Just because I don’t always write out long paragraphs to express in detail what I think or feel doesn’t mean I don’t understand what I’m talking about.
So take a chill pill with the personal attacks, please. Thanks.

thats a whole seperate issue itself. there is so much unnecessary crap intergrated within our lifestyles that kill the environment but its now practically a necessity in order for different economies to move on (i.e. slaughtering animals, transporting the meat, processing it, packaging it etc.) THIS however is literally just pixel and has no usage whatsoever
I agree that it’s a stupid waste of resources. What I don’t agree with is singling this one out - unless you live a very environmentally conscious lifestyle, in which case you have a right to complain. However, I’m willing to bet most people here complaining don’t fit that description.

First of all - that's worthless whataboutism.
Secondly, it is not optional to go from point A to point B. Vehicles are necessary - BHVR is not. Terrible comparison.
There are tons of things that aren’t necessary, yet we pollute the environment for it.
Not defending BHVR here, FYI.

theres no point using a "what about" argument because cars are fundamentally essential for most people. Youre comparing something thats practically necessary to something that has no necessity whatsoever
Humanity survived for thousands of years without any kind of gas-powered transportation.
-
I have no doubt people will continue to play this game despite the NFT situation.
Personally I don’t care that BHVR did it, but it’s moreso the fact they’re super shady about it. Communication has never been their strong suit so it’s not entirely shocking.
-
Don’t we pollute the environment just by driving cars as well? No outrage over that though, huh?

If u ask me, banning a game like DBD from Steam after their stupid move will make a great example to those upcoming games if they'll ever want to follow trough with such similar plans.
Aka, banning DBD will make a fine example.
This would be a great example to demonstrate that (corporate) greed should eventually come to back to bite you in the you know where.
I’d be thrilled to see this joke of a game (in its current state) get banned on Steam.

Completely agree, it's just worth mentioning that Park Ave are the ones selling the gun and BHVR watched it happen. It's important to be as accurate as possible with criticism.
It makes them an accessory, which is not much worse than committing the act themselves.

I don't think this is a case of blind defence, a lot of people are just tired of seeing everyone complaining about pointless things.
They could have phrased better but it's not that big of a deal.
And your second paragraph is what I’m basically saying. Yes, it was an opportunity to take a pot shot over something small.
What’s funnier is people thinking I’m making a big deal and yet they come with elaborate paragraphs in defense of BHVR.

So we've gone from "these morons don't understand their own game" to "they could have worded it s bit better". That's progress.
Let's take a look at the full quote from the video.
"Most killers move faster than survivors, so running in a straight line will prove futile. Create separation by vaulting through windows, and drop pallets to block the killer's path. Time it just right to stun them, allowing you to create even more distance"
How would you have phrased that instead?
I already explained this in my earlier posts.
