If you are outside of the Spirit's terror radius when she is phasing, you hear the noise for the duration of her power
If you are within her terror radius when she is phasing, you do not get an audio cue for her power.
Formerly Prayer Beads used to silence phasing entirely, but they were later changed so that survivors outside of your terror radius always hear phasing.
There's a range wherein survivors can hear phasing, but most of the time it does not come into play.
Her terror radius is actually attached to the husk while using her power, so it can be removed with flashlights to hear her phasing.

From BHVR standpoint this would encourage daily play while making the rift a little more realistic to complete (To encourage more players to buy the pass at all).
I'm sure plenty of people would still end up buying tiers/not making to to the end so BHVR's wallet can stay healthy, plus maybe some will overestimate how consistent they can be with the dailies. Fortnite has a similar system and it seems to work for them.

Pebble - For throwing at teammates
Any Means Necessary - To block your team from using pallets (Can't be used while you interact with them)
Bond/Empathy - Run the killer into injured teammates
Dead Hard/Sprint Burst/DS - To avoid getting farmed by your team

I'll play for a week or so to grind out firecrackers then go back to playing CS:GO. Kinda bored of the game after slogging through so many boring challenges.
Rampant bugs, consistently unfinished updates, frankly terrible changes nobody asked for and still we don't have functional matchmaking.
-
Look a little closer and you'll realize he's not even invisible.
That's why Wraith moves faster while cloaked, because that's his only benefit besides removing terror radius.
-
Personally I just uninstall and reinstall. Much faster than waiting for Steam to unpack and repack 60 GB.
-
This game in general has a super low skill ceiling. I'd say after a few hundred hours you can master pretty much everything besides super niche cross-map hatchets and the likes.

Iron Will, Calm Spirit, Saboteur
My name Jake

If survivors do this they are asking to get camped. This never works out if the killer plays their cards right.
If they move out from under hook right before stage 2 or death, don't pick them up. Wait for the hooked guy to hit next stage.

Always has been, probably always will be unless they reduce the amount of breakable walls.
Killers now have a lot of control in the map until generators in the first floor get done and the big doors start opening
The Game is pretty unique.
It's balance depends entirely on the killer: Bubba has an easy time since he can quickly break down pallets and doesn't have to deal with windows, but other killers such as Wraith get completely boned by all the god pallets since they normally rely on misplays around weaker loops to win.
With how many pallets there are now I'd say its way more survivor sided than killer sided.
-
I would prefer less elements on screen but if the devs are so determined to continue with this new HUD I'd rather have emblems than the hook counter.
-
Please don't dismiss constructive criticism as being "negative nancys". We just want to see the game improve.
I like the new injured animations; not because they're good but because they're ridiculous. Makes for a good change of pace.
-
Ooga booga youtuber say opinion, me go to front page.
-
Give Wraith basekit green/purple Windstorm. Music would also be nice but please just give him the Combat Straps treatment like Pig. He needs this much more than the weird invisibility thing they're adding and would be much simpler to implement.
-
Saboteur should be equal to or faster than toolboxes, not the other way around.
-
Dead Hard, never leave home without it.
-
Gotta be honest I can't stand how fake most DbD streamers are. Zubat and OhTofu are alright though.
-
The new ones look comically unfinished so I want them.
-
I've seen 3 Twins since they were released

I'm just gonna let this comment sit here and age
Comparing Otzdarva's winstreaks to tournament play is like comparing a golf outing with your cousins to the U.S. Open.
Balance doesn't matter when the players have no idea what they're doing in the first place, we could have 2016 infinites and the kinds of players Otz and anyone else goes up against would still find ways to lose.
I'd actually argue that these rules hugely benefit survivors since they can ban Nurse every match.

Worst window on Haddonfield is hands-down the open window right near the basement entrance.
It takes absolutely 0 tact or skill to use and everyone knows how broken it is so they just sprint burst to the middle of the map every time you come near.
-
Right now they can't even record minutes for bug/cheat reports let alone full video footage of an entire match.
-
There used to be "Disgraceful Defeat" for -2 pips if the killer DCs or gets 0 emblems but that was removed.
-
At first I was guessing purple + green infection rate addons but with what she brought it should take at least a couple partially charged pukes.
Unless you have a ticket (and preferably video) the devs do not accept reports, so there's nothing more you can do.
-
Literally the only reason to collect charms is the exclusivity
If you could buy them in the store they wouldn't even be a collector's thing
-
The devs have explained that they couldn't figure out how to exclude stuff like bear traps/deep wound from triggering perks like Knock-Out so they instead implemented the basic attack requirement.
People have brought this up in the past and most of the time the response is simply that they don't feel these perks need to be better/would be majorly improved by removing the basic attack requirement, which is a shame because they π₯π¦π§πͺπ―πͺπ΅π¦ππΊ need it.

So to clarify we both have different games we both bought a copy and he has a few more DLC's than me, am I going to lose the bloodpoints I invested in Oni? and am I going to lose the characters I unlocked now?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1884440#Comment_1884440
I just dont want to farm and play for a long time just to lose it all I'd prefer info up front, I'm still gonna be buying licensed killers like usual but I dont see a point in buying ones I can farm for
Even for games where the save data can be different between accounts with family shared games the actual "copy" of the game is the same.
So yeah, if you stop using your friend's copy with the DLC installed then you will have to start over on Oni and lose any characters/levels/BP/shards you grinded.
-
Yeah no, they're gonna charge $14.99 for legendary holiday backgrounds.
:(

Yes actually me and my friend shared our libraries a few days ago to try a few games and see if we like em
Well there's your answer,
People ask this question a lot and usually mods give this response so I'm 99% sure this is the reason. You can continue using it as long as you and your friend are using the same copy of the game, but if you ever get your own copy to play together you'll have to buy DLC again.
-
Well if we're going to stretch comparisons that thin then practically every good perk is "overlapping" with another. There are 164 perks in the game, 9/10 of those are complete trashwater, and that number is only growing.
Why does Bond still let you see injured survivors?
Why does Breakdown break hooks for longer than Saboteur?
Why is Object>Spine Chill>Premonition?
-
Is your account family linked with anyone else who has the DLCs?
-
It kinda makes me feel bad watching the games from streamer perspective after lol
Like I played as Pig with the best addons and some decent perks vs Tofu recently, but when I go and watch his perspective his teammates do literally nothing but die the entire game.
-
- Survivors can't cancel pick up/ locker opening animations, that's just lag doing its thing
- Killer can't interrupt healing because survivors are not anchored to a specific point on the map. Any other situation where the killer can grab requires them to be "using" a stationary object such as a hook, chest, or window vault. Plus it wouldn't really change much if the killer could grab during healing considering the survivor could just... let go of M1.
-
So far we've established these character traits:
- Thinks Ghostface is OP
- Thinks keys are fine
- Thinks BBQ is OP because it is used frequently
Can't wait to see where the scottymo arc goes next. I'm on the edge of my seat.
-
Agitation is fun to hit cocky survivors.
Also part of the windmill build: Agitation + Iron Grasp + Mad Grit

You clearly don't know what 'juking' and 'breaking away' means since you've just ignored the point of my entire comment lol
Wraith is a hit and run killer, meaning he shouldn't have any buffs to his chase gameplay. If you juke and break away from a tile and gain loads of distance, the Wraith should not be given a free catch up due to a speed increase at base-kit. If he successfully hits you, it's up to the player to judge if he should commit or rotate, buffing his speed makes this less of a judgement and more of a free choice, due to the fact he'd be able to catch up and reapply pressure to the chase or rotate very swiftly with ease. That is what would be oppressive, since he'd have free movement plus speed. Like I said, look at the big picture, not just what would feel like a great buff in basic theory.
My guy this version of Wraith already exists; try running purple windstorm + green windstorm or just purple windstorm.
Nobody is out here complaining that the killer with no power besides running faster outside of chase and being not-actually-invisible is oppressive. It's ridiculous that this is what you choose to complain about when killers like Freddy have everything Wraith does as a small sub-part of their power.
-
That thread complaining that Clown got nerfed would actually be true if they added this
-
"Stop voicing opinions I don't agree with."
-
Thank you for your extremely helpful input
I will now spend $40 on a gamer keyboard with macros because the devs go out of their way to cause me physical strain
-
Lose half your perks in exchange for a couple instadowns once every 10 games
Wonderful
-
Why do you have your real name and city on your steam profile?
-
New killer music is definitely the best part of every update. Love it.
-
Since this was posted back in December I'm guessing they were trying to do the tome challenge for grabbing survivors

Furtive Chase (at max tokens) can OCCASIONALLY allow a quick switch in targets if a chase is taken past another survivor thatβs completely caught off guard by the sudden arrival of the killer.
Other than that, itβs really used for the Obsession switching to get more mileage out of other Obsession perks.
This said though, the design of Furtive Chase does have me suspect devs have future perks planned around having an effect OUTSIDE of the TR, that are planned to have synergy with Furtive Chase.
You are very optimistic thinking that the devs have planned over 2 years in advance.
-
Same, I use the full Marsh Madness set if that matters
-
Yeah
I recently hit level 50 with all good/fun perks on every killer and now I have no reason to play the game. There really is nothing more to work towards once you've experienced all the wacky builds.

Didn't think about that. I'll give that shot.
Don't scroll too fast though because the game is garbage and will eat your inputs if you scroll quickly.

I'm shocked so many people don't think this is an extremely good buff. I genuinely believe will be shocked at how much better he can be by this.
There will be a lot of creative ways to use his bottles. The only thing I need to know is how quickly he can swap bottles. If it's instant then I think he will be fairly decent.
That's not the point OP is trying to make; everyone knows that 10 percent movespeed for 7 seconds will be useful.
We're worried about the devs' thought process. If they think that the best application for these bottles is as a piece of cheese to lure survivors then I'm sure they have some very questionable takes on game balance.
-
Idk I think its either removed the faces collection (which might be difficult because of license holders/people complaining they got scammed) or keep them all, an apron collection is not exactly in-character.
