Twins are literally built to proxy-camp.
-
Y'know... after reading some of these comments maybe there's a good reason these ideas got turned down.
-
Do I have to pay $4.99 for expansion pass DLC?

I mean I don't think it would be that bad to be honest but I'm pretty sure most killers wouldn't even pick it. Survivors have Left Behind and how often do you see it? I think it would be the same for killer. I don't care if the last person gets the hatch and I don't want to switch out a perk for it.
I wouldn't mind if a perk like this exists but I think it would be pointless.
Not like 99% of perks are getting used in the first place so I don't see how this one would be any different.
Might as well make the 10 people who want Remember Me for hatch happy.
-
Phew, good thing they nerfed Trapper. He was getting a little too good.

Ok? And why should you be bothered by that if you are playing killer?
Because I'm not always the killer in every single match I play and I also want to play a fun, balanced game for everyone?

Good question. Dcing denies a lot of the killer's points and the rage quitter gets none since he rage quit if someone suicides on hook they dont deny as much bps to the killer meanwhile the survivor gets a fair amount of points
The difference in points gained for killer is negligible assuming they would DC on hook anyways and why do the DC'ers points matter? They're the ones being bad sports and ruining the game for everyone.
DC = Suicide on Hook in every way except for the penalty and that should be addressed.
-
You aren't supposed to wiggle out.
It's a preventative measure so that the killer can't just walk around with you slung over his shoulder going wherever he pleases. The only cases where you are supposed to wiggle is when the killer gets greedy for basement hooks or when your team does something to help such as sabotaging hooks or bodyblocking.
Just be glad they nerfed Iron Grasp. In 2016/2017 it allowed you to take someone halfway across the map to basement and everyone ran it because sabotage was so ridiculous.
-
Plenty of people just sit on the main menu to rack up hours in games though. I mean even if you didn't do that pre-crossplay matchmaking probably constitutes ~1/5 of my hours.
-
1. Is a little weird that survivors now have spooky skulls just hanging around
2. Killer doesn't have time to look around for totems because its 1v4.
3. Would be largely RNG depending on the killer's build. Imagine having all 4 perks disappear because one survivor decided to bring this.
4. Would encourage selfish soloQ players to wait around doing nothing.
-
Besides her vomit getting bugged every patch she's fine.
Maybe just fix her emblems.
-
Press spacebar to interact with pallets and windows.
-
Are you mashing too quickly or playing at the wrong resolution?
Both of those can cause the game to ignore inputs and kill you. If you aren't already don't press space quickly, just tap it a few times per second.
-
The hitbox is the same for the entire animation and extends about as far as the doors can go out
So just wait until the locker closes completely and the survivor starts running. Don't think you can get them as the doors are swinging back in. If you know its coming just don't be impatient and it will never hit you.
-
They probably thought the tiny ankle-nibbling gremlin role was better suited to a name like "Victor"
But yeah, in terms of lore it makes no sense because they supposedly lived as normal, non-supernatural people in the real world.
-
Don't care about anything except Wraith and Blight changes. Everything else is a nice bonus I guess.
But really, those Wraith changes have been long overdue. Thanks devs.
-
Went up against a cocky 4-man (Yes I checked) on Dead Dawg while trying for my Trapper adept.
Gates are powered, 3 remain, they're just running around trying to get my attention so I go after one of them in the main building and he decides to jump in the dead-end room probably to try and window-tech me or something.
So I vault after him and just sit there. Forever. He can't leave and has to watch as both his teammates futilely try to get me to move. They eventually open a nearby gate and leave when the timer gets low. I let him out with just enough time to barely not make it out.
If the chat filter was a thing back then I wouldn't have anything left to read.
To be fair it probably was actually against the rules for "griefing" but who cares. 100% deserved.
-
Equip Iron Will = unban Spirit
No Iron Will = ban Spirit
-
I'd say he's alright...
But there's no reason to play him over other ranged killers. He attacks like Plague, needs to reload like Huntress, but is worse than both of those killers in most categories.
I've seen some good ideas on the forums though. If they want to gear him more towards the Plague/power burst side they can let him manually activate Main Event. If they want to make his regular form more powerful they should make trick knives basekit.
-
Who says he isn't gay?
Go wild. Use your imagination. Be your best self.

@CornHub said:
People could cheese his ricochet by aiming at the ground like Hanzo's old scatter arrow if you played OW. Maybe if it could only ricochet off walls then I'd be down.
Eh I think that would be fine for how many knives it currently takes to damage survivors.
Especially considering you would only be able to abuse the ground-bounce when you are relatively close and not obstructed by any tiles/windows.
Would be a way to increase his lethality out in the open, or they could just remove/reduce the laceration bonus on ricochet.
-
Trickster and Plague need to have way more accuracy for good returns on their power though.
With Huntress you only need to land a singular, very fast, very generous hitbox.
With the prior two you need to land a bunch of quick, tiny shots that tend to go all over the place while the survivor adadadad's their keyboard to pieces.
-
Maybe scam is a trigger word?
Or it could be like Rainbow 6 where they used an international language filter so English speakers would be banned for unknowingly swearing in Mandarin or something.
-
Not even just the women, almost all survivors look like Barbie/Ken dolls
Give me more goblin people like Quentin and Nea.
-
Forum speculation isn't a promise for LGBT
People say that literally every chapter
"It HAS to be FNAF"
"OMG LGBT confirmed!!!"
"I'm uninstalling..."
-
Forums are crapping the sheets so my comment got duplicated.
Ignore this.
-
New chapter looks amazing so far, this and Blight POV is all I've wanted for a long time now.
Great work devs.

Trailer drops in about 10 minutes anyways

If you're so desperate for the killer to keep you company on the hook maybe you can find a nice Insidious Bubba to help you with that
After all, he'll have an extra slot where BBQ used to be
-
Because it's already meta and doesn't need a buff.
-
Depends how perfect we're talking
Nurse who moves/chases perfectly optimally, never commits to bad chases, and always lands blinks?
Yeah probably, at least with addons and on The Game/Midwich
Other than that though a survivor team that never, ever goes off gens and always saves as soon as the killer is further from the hook than the nearest survivor would be impossible to beat. There simply wouldn't be enough time.
-
Wouldn't work because...
S to the W to the F
S W F
-
Gotta be honest...
Ruin/Undying is still way better than Devour/Undying even after the nerf
At least in my book consistency/gen regression will always trump some instadowns.
Also I don't see why MYC is necessary considering you're already investing half of your build into Devour. If that doesn't work out I'd rather have something like Pop so the build doesn't completely collapse under me.
-
If you take 1 of his 3 teachables you can avoid the other ones forever
Trail of Torment is his best perk so just take it and leave the others.
-
Honestly I'm fine with this outcome
All I want from MMR is better SoloQ teammates
Though the system will most likely just be used to silence matchmaking complaints i.e. "Ranks aren't used for matchmaking, your matches are actually balanced you big dummy"
-
Starbreeze is such an awful publisher, glad they got out of there before they turned DbD into Payday 2.
-
I'm hoping they release killer stats again sometimes down the line, I want to see how few people play the Twins because it has to be crazy few.
-
Clown wasn't absolute bottom of the barrel before the rework and he still isn't, its just now that he got a new fancy bottle the popular opinion is shifting from oH mY gOd cLoWn iS sO bAd to a more accurate ranking.
The rework really didnt change much people are just realizing how bad Trapper really is.
-
I get the feeling the only reason this perk exists is so that Blight had something to combo Undying with.

oblivious doesn't do much in this game at all and wouldn't change ghostface at all as he is already undetectable in night shroud and you have to be in night shroud to mark someone so oblivious would actually do nothing. It would also be heavily countered by swf constantly telling their oblivious friend if the killer is after them or not so they don't really have to worry. With permanent night shroud the idea would be having to rely soully on stealth which would be new for an M1 killer because even jumpscare michael has aura reading to give an advantage.
I get where you're coming from but I just don't see BHVR adding something like that when mirror Myers already exists.
New addons are always "When you use your power, something else also happens", it seems like they don't want to make anymore Scratched Mirrors.
Oblivious could still be useful on Ghosty if you get early stalks on everyone. The cooldown without addons is 30 seconds after all. Think of it like Furtive Chase but good, and as an addon.
-
Yeah it would be cool if flashlight addons other than battery/filament actually did anything.
-
Eh, perks take so long to grind for that you're better off gunning for the meta than wasting dozens of hours working towards "beginner" perks you ultimately won't use.
By the time you finish levelling Bill, David, Meg, Laurie, etc. you'll have a much better grasp on the game.
-
Yet another zinger from the #1 troll
Godspeed
-
Maybe instead of a downside like 4.4 speed or no stalk we could differentiate it a little from Scratched Mirror:
Upon fully stalking a survivor, they are afflicted by the Oblivious status effect for x seconds.
Maybe the mark is permanent (or very lengthy) Oblivious, but does not expose.
-
Hallucinations could be an interesting hybrid between Spine Chill/Windows/Detective's with some adjustments.
Maybe a stricter range requirement (So that it doesn't completely outclass Spine Chill) and a slightly longer cooldown (30/25/20).
It would reward quick memorization and paying attention because you could come back to totems you see after escaping chase using the windows/pallets it highlights.
-
I don't expect a Bubba-scale rework they'll probably just slap a slowdown/cooldown on snares, maybe nerf dream pallets for no reason and call it a day.
My only major gripe with Freddy is how he can completely surround generators/block hallways with snares for information.
IMO all he needs is snares being able to be crouched over like Hag traps so that the 2v1 vs Freddy is at least possible.

Oh boohoo, being forced to use addons in a game that constantly supplies you with addons. Seriously, why do people think using a killer addonless is the way to go? Addons are part of killer builds, they empower aspects of your ability or add functions your basekit doesnt have access to. Your basekit should not be powerful enough to work on its own against a strong survivor team. A strong survivor team uses items, addons and perks. Having any killer being able to match up with that without having to use any addons or perks is a killer that is the definition of unbalanced.
Funny that you say that because that's my point:
They removed Billy's good addons. He now is always relegated to certain tiles, curve Billy is a thing of the past when you're not up against a sack of potatoes.
Don't get me wrong, Billy is still a decent killer but my point stands that he simply isn't fun anymore.
-
The problem with balancing DbD can be condensed into just 2 words:
ππ©π¦ π±ππ’πΊπ¦π³π΄
Yes, the biggest obstacle to making a balanced Dead by Daylight is the average player.
This game is an anomaly. It's the only popular, actively developed, assymetrical (and horror) game out there so it encompasses too large of an audience.
You have people who genuinely see it as a competitive experience, those who want to improve and play to win mixed in with just as many people who see it as Mario Party with blood.
It creates an impossible dilemma where the devs can never make a "happy" balance because even if the game is perfectly even between killer and survivor there will be a large outcry from the Mario Party crew; same will happen if they appeal to the casual players and in turn upset those who play competitively.
This game will never satisfy everyone unless a more or less serious/casual competitor enters the market.
-
Billy just feels gross to play as.
Your camera is constantly bobbing and getting jerked around, your power is mostly dependent on tile RNG (Not that it ever wasn't without addons), weird pushed-in FoV, annoying sound cues...
Not surprising that Billies are either 2000 hour curve gods or fresh meat.
