There it is. Every single salient point about Dead Hard made, and every single asinine counter argument utterly destroyed and fed to the Entity.
Why this perk is still in the game is a mystery. I can only assume it is because its removal would kill content creators and lose more players. The game has not had a mechanic this busted since old Moris.
I'm so sick of people that respond to every criticism of Dead Hard with "But that would make the perk worthless", as if that would not objectively make the game better. YES. DO IT. Pummel it until it is worse than Technician, for God's sake.
Get rid of that gosh darn perk!
Since David is gay now change the perk to "Sashay Away" and have the survivor sashay towards the killer temporary stunning them for 3 seconds.
-
Blindness is amazing! ... when the survivors aren't whispering in eachothers ears which then makes Blindness nearly useless.
-
Freddy. Probably the saddest case because I used to play him quite a bit because I just loved the character. But he is just such a yawnfest. Freddy needs a rework, give the franchise some justice!
Other than him, Spirit. Was never really that good with her, I hate predicting, and I hate having to throw my volume all the way up just so I can get a better read on where the survivors are.

Did you by any chance tunnel this survivor? If so, I'd say you deserved it.
By the looks of how many hooks they received, the Feng was not tunneled. Strategically taking out a survivor who is on their last hook when only one gen is left is valid
-
David and Myers... no further explanation
-
I guess it depends on the type of fear. If we're talking spooky creepy then Myers for sure.
But I also get really scared of blight and nemesis. Blight comes out of no where and nemesis footsteps are scary af.
-
A killer that is designed to jumpscare no matter the map.
I know stealth killers exist and hag traps can surprise people but I really love scaring survivors. It's one of the reasons why I play so much pig, myers, and if Ghostface was better, ghostie. But none of them excel at jumpscaring unless you force to play them that way.
I want a killer that can just make survivors sh*t their pants no matter the map or the generators location!
-
Ambush sound affect only plays after the pig activates it.
Survivors who were hit by Ambush automatically receive a trap.
Increase base trap to 5.
Increase the timer on the traps; increase time solving jigsaw boxes with a deactivated trap; decrease time solving jigsaw boxes with an active trap.
-
Well she uses tapes to curse people who watch them, and if I remember correctly the curse goes in order from newest to oldest. So someone who watched the tapes more recently will be the first to have their face chewed off.
So maybe it has something to do with watching tapes and marking survivors. But what incentives the survivors to must watch the tapes... I dunno. Lots of potential but hard to think of a power

Just, throw in here what you think about him here, what changes (be it buffs or nerfs) you think he needs so someone else can refute what you say or agree with you.
Thats it.
I'm not going to say Wraith is OP but I find playing against his very underwhelming as in he's boring. The undetectabity, super speed inside stealth and uncloaking are all just stale to play against. You could take away his invisibility all together and he would be the same boring killer. Their is no thought in cloaking yet the player gets instant reward.

Not really a new question, but it's been a while.
What's a Perk you like to use that very few others seem to like?
I still like Brutal Strength enough to put it in my top 10 favorite Killer Perks.
It's not like i don't understand that the time reduction is quite low and with each Pallet that you don't kick means less value out of it, but idk, i just like the feel of it.
It's also fun for me on Wraith's Anti-Pallet build.
I like playing with Fixated. I wouldn't say it's unpopular but definetly not meta. All honesty I just love having Fixated as my core perk and add perks like Dance With Me, Deception, and Quick and Quiet for some extra stealth and scratchmark knowledge.
-
Probably Pyramid Head, Demo, Myers. Basically any killer with good chase music

@UncleStabby said:
I tried to be a good sport. I never camped, never tunneled. I juggled gen protection and chases, I played non-meta killers and ran more than just one overpowered build I tried to create a challenging but fun match for all my survivors.
But you ruined it.
You and your stupid keys, genrushing tactics, and copypaste builds and playstyles.
Today, I declare this solemn vow. As of this moment, I will camp, I will tunnel, I will slug every last survivor for the 4k if need be. From now on I only care about MY fun! Not yours, not your team mates! I'm going to enjoy myself no matter what 'scummy' tactics I must use to achieve them. There will be Anti-Loop. There will be BBQ, and there will be moris. There will be no more mercy, no giving the hatch or the gate. I don't care if all three of your teammates dced on you, I will STILL chase you down and hook you, and smack your hanging body.
I look forward to more years of selfish enjoyment, just as you have.
Us killer mains have finally lost our minds.

The only change I'd make to Plague is something that irks me - the overflow mechanic when all fountains are corrupted. I hate this mechanic with a passion, because it's very stressful and annoying to have to manage your corrupt pools against a team of cleansers so you don't end up overflowing and losing your snowball pool. I like playing with a mix of Vile and Corrupt Purge, rather than only Corrupt Purge and just becoming a better Nemesis that has to constantly run all over the map to reload their projectile.
Instead of automatically triggering Corrupt Purge, when all fountains are corrupted, it should work like Main Event where for a short window (10-15~ seconds) you can choose whether or not to activate Corrupt. If you do, then it works as it does now, and if you don't, one random pool becomes corrupted.
What addons do you like using?

Like @Shroompy said, her puke is inconsistent due to bugs. You'll hit a survivor and they won't get sick or you do but Survivor's don't get as infected as they should. On top of that, there are some collision bugs that she has. I think that she is difficult to play, but very rewarding once you get the feel of her :)
Yeah I witnessed the bugs, annoying. I guess ill keep trying. Ready for my next 4 man survivor escape while being t-bagged at gate :^)

here is my take on his expreriment on otzdarva’s noed experiment
first point literally every game survivors are overtly altruistic on a camping killer
2 point otz said noed is not earned and this pisses me off a bit
why should a killer perk be earned its the dumbest argument in a long time why let me explain
its another way of saying camping with noed should not be allowed and why would a perk need to be earned
i dont see him saying survivor perks should be earned
i could go on but its sad to see these streamers demonize noed users who camp ive faced many noed campers if im npt on the hook geuss what im soing im leaving
also note before people start spazzin dumb ######### i dont hate otz and think he is a great entertainer
I agree, NOED isn't earned in the traditional sense but it does not need to be earned because it's a clutch perk used only at the very tail end of the match.
Experienced killers won't need to use NOED because they aren't looking to win late game but have constant pressure all game long.
NOED is a perfectly balanced perk for new killers and tbh really easy to counter. If tou don't want to do totems, open the gates and leave. I domt know why everyone thinks having all 4 survivors leave is the only way to "win"

Will we still be able to prestige characters after the chapter is removed from the store? I don't see why we wouldn't be able to but I'm just a bit paranoid about it.
My question is will demo still have his amazing chase music? I know demo will still be able to be played but will the rights to the chase music be taken away as well?

Like, if you read the book/watch the movie, the whole character and his background is unnerving a lot of the time...
I really don't want to vs or even play as him at all...
He's just...eugh...
Pyramid head is a bringer of torture and r*pes mannequins. I would say he would be on the same level of off-putting as Pinhead if not more.

The beginning of the end has already begun, before the recent and unwelcome development. If this license isn't reacquired or other recourse occurs, DBD marketing is going to continue to plummet in other ways that won't make the game palatable anymore.
Mark my words, by the end of next year, this game won't have even half it's current player base.
If BHVR lost another license, which lost license would make you stop playing altogether?
They're still here there just isn't going to be any future updates on the strange things cast.
It's sad and I hope that future licenses don't end up with the same fate but I'm pretty confident that most will uphold.

You would think that BHVR would incorporate a contract that would secure them the rights to the character/s for the foreseeable future instead of having to constantly renew the license. If that's the case, then yeah any chapter could end up leaving DBD in the foreseeable future.
No company would agree to that, everyone thinks of money and the future of the franchise. Netflix had a reason to pull the license away weather for greed or future ambitions with stranger things.
-
So we admit that Spirit isn't braindead and their is skill to be learned from her power.
-
Change nothing but her add ons.
-
He's scary, tall and his footsteps are loud as heck. I always have fun when being chased by actually intimidating killers so yes I find him fun purely design wise.
-
When I first heard of Nemesis ability I thought it was going to be like plague but it's literally nothing like plague.
Plagues sickness is a direct debuff to survivors which could become a buff to her if they cleanse.
Nemesis infection is a direct buff to himself as soon as he uses it, it does not really debuff the survivors as the coughing is kind of minimal.
And we'll yeah I guess his three tiers are similar to Myera just better in every single way. He's overall much more unique than I expected.

Wouldn't David just kick its teeth in? Not in favour of something that resembles a gnome as a killer. Way better options available imo.
Chucky is a doll with human strength, a lot of people also underestimate his size. He's a three foot tall doll, the size of a small child really.
-
Have the traps activate once the survivor is unhooked or healed from the downed state. I find it weird that the built in time waster that pig has requires survivors to actually COMPLETE their objectives.
Just odd, have it activate sooner so the pressure happens instant.

@Pilot said:
So apparently BHVR added the gnome from L4D2 as a Rare Charm. How long will this be a thing? I don't know.
Once Endgame Collapse starts by either unlocking the exit gate or closing the hatch, the gnome will spawn. You will know it spawned because you will hear a laughter once Endgame Collapse starts.
During Endgame Collapse you need to look around the map for the gnome, if you get close it will make a laughter noise. It's quite small... so keep your eyes open.
Once you smash it as killer / survivor ONCE you'll unlock it for both sides & all characters.
Once someone smashes the gnome, it will laugh and spawn somewhere else.
This is best done with Killer. Close hatch & slug the last person then look for the gnome + you don't need to worry about the survivor stealing your precious gnome. As survivor you need to ESCAPE to get the charm, hence why killer is easier.
That's all. If I missed anything, let me know in the comment and I'll edit
I smashed it but I don't see the charm...
-
I'm not amazing at him but something I stopped myself from doing is using his power to try to mindgame loops, sometimes it work and when it does it feels amazing but a lot of times you'll just be wasting time.
His power is best used to get around the map and zone survivors away from an area. If they are out in the open, then it's a free hit.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Do you want to implicate that Spirit is healthy and fun as well?
I think her add-ons need changing but overall her power does not need to be touched.
-
"Boop the snoot" is only reserved for Dwight's and survivors who don't click their flashlights 100 times a second.
-
Gnomes... its always gnomes
-
The Killer CAN hit you while vaulting, they can hit you after a vault too if you're close enough to the window.
Also the killer can 360 m1 to hit a survivor. Everything you said is supposed to be in the game.

My only issue with Chris is that he would not likely try to hide from killers in all honesty. Dude punches boulders in a volcano while fighting a sociopathic monster without flinching

because i don't like random luck-based elements in my primarily skill-based videos games
Spirit is the DBD equivalent of Random Crits, change my mind
I dont think Spirit is luck based on the slightest, the Spirit player is still aware of what they are doing and needs to work to get their downs. It's just easier to end chases with her if you are good at audio cues.
If you count Spirit as luck based than you can start dropping a whole heap of killers in there with her lol

I honestly am pretty confident in a RE8 killer, but we never know.
We could be pleasantly surprised and have 2 killers although I think that's the most unlikely out of any other options.
-
Child's Play. Chucky and Jason are the last two iconic slashers were missing. We have myers, leatherface, and freddy... now we need the Chuckster to come home.
Besides that, I also really wanted Carrie and Scooby Doo.

Leatherface and Trapper.

I consider Myers one of their best killers, so no changes required. But if anything, i would change Tier 1. Something more interactive would be cool, eg if you're starving evil too long at tier 2, you drop back to tier 1 for example.
But Myers is worse than Oni, Leatherface, basically all snowball killers are better at what they do then him.
Oni does not need to slow down to cause pressure, he simply plays as a regular m1 killer while gaining snowball potential.
Leatherface has constant snowball pressure with his one shot chainsaw and although he suffers the same map pressure downside with Myers, his early game is not as weak.
The only redeeming quality that Myers has are his add ons, some are very strong on certain maps and others can change his entire way he plays but were looking at his base kit. Add ons aside, he is struggling.

@whycantIwin said:
I simply cannot understand the logic in their mentality, I have 3K hours in this game and yes the MM is broken but still at rank 6 there's survivors doing this BS when the killer isn't even near them, they waste time staying safe at the gate instead of trying to find noed and come same me/us, what is it in their head that makes them do this? everytime I see a survivor do that I want to pull my hair out in anger from their stupidity and cowardness.
For some reason doing bones that aren't Ruin or Undying is kryptonite to survivors.

I always try to act cute in front of them in game hoping they will notice me but they never do...
