None of them will ever do this challenge. They'll say they did, and write long drawn out posts about it attempting to validate their abysmal logic, but that's about it. We all know what they really are. Survivor mains who want an easy game.

Oh I do. My team doesn’t however and it annoys me. You should do a web page or YouTube since you have all the answers. You could teach everyone how to be a god at the game.
I assure you, I'd be better suited to do it than you.
Not saying you're bad, mind you. I'm just saying I'm better.

Noed is like insurance that a killer will get some kills and it’s annoying to survivors because like you said, killer does nothing to earn it. Sure you can take out all totems but without a solid team it rarely happens.
So Noed, while effective, is a total crutch perk that gives unskilled killers kills they otherwise wouldn’t get. Sad thing is, these killers who use it every time never get better at game either so who gets the last laugh? Hmmm
Sounds a lot like adrenaline, doesn't it? And decisive strike?
Besides, if you're a good survivor, noed never comes into play. Destroy totems. When you get to red ranks, that's something you'll figure out quick.

This is 100% completely true. I feel the same way and I applaud you for writing all that. Of course the toxic killer mains will rush to this like flies to a fresh turd, to tell you just how wrong you are, but they’re defending the easy 4K and I sort of understand. The people on this forum, for the most part, are a great representation of everything wrong with this game. They come here to argue day and night and it’s so toxic. Not all users but a great majority of them. They are the killers AND survivor mains who don’t understand or incapable of having a fun game for all while still doing their objective. Thanks for the post.
People on this forum includes you, you know.
Unfortunately, for people like yourself, a "fun game" means "nerf everything I don't want to adapt to". That's not just a blind criticism, that's fact looking at your post history.

Well okay, as long as you say so.
Seriously though, it can be dodged. Unless you're out of position and put yourself right in front of him, in which even normal saw will down you. I suggest practice.

I agree with the second part. The first part is pretty unnecessary and sounds a little abusable. Sadly I don't think survivors would like to give up their invincibility perk. Maybe while DS is active you can't unhook in the killer's TR (or 32m, whatever works).
I don't see how it could be abused. Traps can be disarmed. If they run into one it's because they messed up.

I'm against the protection hit, if you get farmed off the hook by someone hurt and then tunneled and downed near them, protection hit.
But I like the idea of it ticking down faster while doing things and not moving while slugged. Making it the anti tunnel perk. It would still be strong but not op.
I thought about that, but it's much more ridiculous to have a survivor run around in your face baiting a hit, and now be immune because they are down and the timer isn't moving.
-
I also think if you step in a trappers trap, DS should not proc. That's kind of your own fault.
It should also deactivate if you unhook someone while DS is active, and if you take a protection hit. Both of those situations are just you using DS as a superman perk and not as an anti tunnel perk.

I would nerf both of those tbh
Not massively though
I think DS should have conditions. Like, its not active after you've unhooked someone, if you're grabbed, or if you take a protection hit.
Adrenaline should either heal you or give you a sprint burst. Not both.

You're right "But to ignore it like that, that's just you being in denial." was what you said, along with the passive aggressive phrasing before. Just because I flat out stated something that was correct.
Jfc whatever dude, I'm not going to argue with you. If you decide you want to talk about something I will, but if you are just going to berate and digress then there is no point.
Especially when my overall ignored point will be made shortly; as the same cycle of BHVR treatment of issues goes about the same every time anyways. So good luck on that front.
Disagreeing with you isn't berating you. Even if I'm blunt about it. I'm not insulting you in the least bit.
I even acknowledged that you responded to the video and not what I said, after you had explained it.

To be fair, the reasoning they have stated why they changed Doc still has me worried a bit. But I think now with all the uproar regarding the Ruin nerf they'll probably have to listen to the community and try and buff more killers, and also hopefully increase the rate at which they rework maps. This Ruin nerf wouldn't have caused even nearly as much uproar if many more maps were just reworked to be actually balanced for both sides.
Yeah, whoever wrote their patch notes need to be sent back to PR training. They seriously screwed the proverbial pooch on those notes.

Bottom line, no amount of whining on this forum will change anything. You’ll have to adapt or leave game. Sorry (sad face).
You don't get to talk about people not wanting to change their playstyle when I've seen you advocating a nerf to Hillbilly. You have zero room to criticize people when you advocate things like that. Sorry, man.

Apparently not, you went straight to calling me delusional and then said "I didn't state etc etc..." so you are very clearly mistaking my second person narration earlier when talking about Space Coconut, not yourself.
Which is fine I could get that and I could clarify that, but don't just immediately jump on me- you could ask for clarification on something and have skipped all of that.
Nowhere did I call you delusional. I'll thank you for making sure not to accuse me of things I haven't done. Thanks bud.
As for clarification - you did respond to my words, so I took it as a response to me. Which is the logical conclusion. Fair enough, though. You were responding to what was said in the video.

Well I understand the business side of it, which you may not. If new players come in and think the game sucks or is too hard, and that grind as new survivor is rough, then they leave and the company loses money. If they can bring in new players and keep them, then they do better financially. It’s common sense.
Honestly at this point, the game could use some fresh players, which is the devs goal. So either the og players can adapt or peace out.
This is why you balance for both, and it IS possible. I'm actually done talking to you. It's quite clear you don't give a crap about balance and simply want an easier game. It's pretty said, honestly, that you refuse to get better.
If you want an easy game, go play Minecraft.

You may want to go back and re-read I am talking about his claim in the video. I am saying BHVR WILL point that out, it's literally what they do every time, they find what is incorrect and use that to dismiss everything else that is valid, and will just ignore everything else.
I'm aware of what you were speaking of; And they can attempt to dismiss all they want. The community is above their nonsense at this point. They aren't fooling anyone. They would get *so much* more brownie points with the community if they grew a pair and were straight up and honest with us.

I didn’t say that but you can’t build it around strictly rank 1 die hards who play it non stop. They aren’t the majority.
And that's why the game is slowly dwindling. That's why queue times are long. Because the devs think exactly like that. Judging solely from your posts, you are clearly fairly new to the game. You shouldn't be speaking on what is good and what isn't good for the game until you learn the game.
You screw over experienced players, you have no game.

This crap is what makes me want to defend BHVR even though they are agreeably in the wrong. Someone advocates facts so you attack them and say they are delusional. FFS.....
The notes were ripped from the PTB directly so of course they are semi-accurate, but they are also constantly changed around, and probably used to remind people what was tweaked so it can be changed back later as they prepare the PTB for testing.
The simple fact is you shouldn't go around stating something IS HAPPENING when it's already been shown that it IS NOT HAPPENING as it shows you are not fully aware of what is actually going on, and weakens your argument.
If that is hard to grasp, that's on you, not me.
The notes leaked 2 days before the PTB even happened. Before the PTB was even formally announced. I didn't state that it was happening. I stated it *would have* happened. I base that on BHVR's history of shadow nerfing things, and doing things to bandaid their own terrible balance choices.

Yes but most players also have jobs, school, friends, activities outside gaming, etc. To base what they game needs on streamers who literally play the game all day as their job, is just absurd. I’d say they are the exception, not the rule.
Can you imagine how good you’d be if you played this game 4-8 hours a day? Everyday? Who with a regular life would have this time? That’s why I always am hesitant to buy into what streamers say about the game.
Take tru3 for example. He’s got a ton of opinions on game balance based on how much he’s played. 4 years, everyday so his opinions are based on his skill level, not that if a casual player. Make sense?
It doesn't matter. Job, no job, family, activities, whatever. The game should not be dumbed down because people refuse to learn. It's not a hard game to learn.
-
Personally - the entitlement from survivors (I still can't get over the "Freddy should be nerfed because freddy players never meme with survivors bit I heard in a different thread. OOF) has made be give exactly zero craps about survivor fun. Play to win. Slaughter them. Tunnel the crap out of them. Slug them all and let them bleed out.
Do what you have to do.

For one there is no map in the game that is so full of unsafe pallets that you have to choose them over more safer options, and yes I mean HNL as well. Unsafe pallets aren't meant to be looping points more by time points, aka. drop the pallet very early to buy you time to the next safer pallet. Learn how to use them instead of using them incorrectly and complaining about them.
Even then, if you can't loop an unsafe pallet correctly (and it can be done), you're just not a good survivor and need to "git gud" as they say.

There is no proof that it ever was, some supposed leaked patch notes that were inaccurate on a few things are not evidence of that. So as far as anyone other than BHVR knows, it was never planned.
Listen I don't want to defend BHVR as I said most of the rest I agree with, but one needs to get their facts straight or it will demerit other valid points in the process.
The patch notes were actually word for word accurate to the notes we got - with that one single line about ranks being the only thing missing. Explain to me why everything else was accurate, but that one line (which was shady as all hell) was removed? Yes, let's choose to believe that the leaker, who has literally never lied to us (which is less than BHVR has) is mistaken or somehow manufactured these notes. mmmmkay
Nobody is saying it's absolutely true - but it is NOT out of character. At all. It is something they would do. They have shadow nerfed things before. But to ignore it like that, that's just you being in denial.

I didn't say he wins every game. I actually don't know his win rate. Rng will bite you at some point no matter how good you are. All I'm saying is you definitely will struggle if you don't continue to grow your skill.
The issue with that logic is, right now because of things like map imbalance and second chances, there's a literal limit to how good a killer can be if they choose someone who can't apply gen pressure adequately. It's not always about getting better.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
You don't need mori or NOED on Spirit to body survivors.
Try this... Sloppy, Thana, Dying Light, Stridor, and combination of green add-ons you wish. Once you get 4 stacks of Dying Light the game is effectively over because survivors will always be injured and thus get a massive debuff to repair speed.
They didn't say they needed them. He said he wanted them. To have fun. Fun is important! :)

Purely subjective. I know Doc mains that consider it an overall buff, and some who prefered his current kit who think it's a nerf.

Please don't nerf anymore killers. The strong killers are fine. There isn't a single oppressive killer in the game. There are some I personally find annoying. But that's not grounds for a nerf.
I would also say please add some QoL changes for the weaker killers.
To add onto this, I'd say killers like Clown, Legion, Leatherface and Pig need more than simply "QOL" changes. They need complete reworks, or just, decent buffs.

Endgame builds are a blast. Try Remember Me/Blood Warden/NOED. The sheer chaos and panic you can create is awesome. Plus, a lot of survivors that actually play both roles have fun with that build. You can’t play against Iridescent Head when the Huntress is revving your back and hitting one shot hatchets at melee range. I only see bad Huntresses use it. Players who are good at Huntress don’t need it.
You claim that playing against Iridescent Head would make survivors more skillful but it requires zero skill from the Huntress. It’s just a super cheap one shot.
Iridescent Head either needs to only apply instadown from further than a certain distance (24 meters) to promote long range shots from Huntress which is actually the fun skillful part of playing Huntress, not back revving and instadowning at melee range. Or it needs to not stack with other add-ons so Huntress only has one hatchet.
I do it...all the time. o.O
As for requiring zero skill...that's a bunch of balderdash. When you're running iri head, you have way less hatchets (max of 3, WITH another addon), and you have to make every shot count. If you miss, you have nothing.
I can already tell you haven't played Huntress against semi competent survivors.

"The company has one hit on their hands and instead of making it better on the longterm, they make it for the short term".
Business is business.
The issue with BHVR is, they will never have another hit. Look at their history. They have a zero percent success rate in any other game. All they've done are Deathgarden (and we know how much of a snoozefest that was before they took the servers down), and a slough of second rate licensed games/ports. They have a track record of failure
Hell, if you want to be technical, DBD is technically a failure as well. The playerbase hasn't really grown. It's been stagnant for years now. That's why they are doing what they are doing. Making their bank now, luring in new people and giving the proverbial middle finger to old players, to make more bank. They are well aware their chances of success with another game is, well...unfavourable.
DBD wasn't a hit because of BHVR. It was a hit because of content creators taking notice of it. Define irony - all those same content creators pray for DBD to die so they can move on to something else.

Same with Umbra, she sit's in Red Ranks running Huntress (among other Killers), without even needing Add On's and with Shadowborn of all perks.
Shadowborn on Huntress is very strong. She throws projectiles and it gives you a higher FOV.
Also - Umbra also uses a crosshair. I'm not saying it makes her bad, but it does muddy her credibility a bit as a supposed "god tier" Huntress.
The ones out there that don't use a crosshair and do that well, and yes they do exist, those are the ones who deserve most of the applause.
