I doubt it, all I see from your posts is crying about ruin and killer nerfs. There's a reason you see freddy played like 1/3 of the game at red ranks. Same reason you see huntress another 1/3 of the time (carried by hitboxes 2x the size of the hatchets). He is easy as hell to play.
You don't even need to M1 to put people to sleep, just keep running around the same loop and spamming snares and you will get hits eventually; it's just a matter of if the other survivors are pounding out the gens or not in the meantime, and if you can afford to do it.
This is how you can point out someone who is both A) New to the game, and B) your typical one-sided survivor main.
Apparently this person doesn't know you can be a survivor main, and play a lot of killer. Imagine there being two modes available at the main menu screen, with the ability to choose. :O
NO WAY!

Man imagine complaining about a balanced killer. The red snared are easy to dodge, the only people who get affected by them are mindless loopers who don't look what's in front of them or the people who don't even wake up.
To be fair - when I face Freddy I don't wake up either. I just look at the bright red things on the ground and it magically registers in my big boy brain "don't step on those".
-
Actually, when you make a claim, it's up to you to prove it right. Now the other way around.
The burden of proof (Latin: onus probandi, shortened from Onus probandi incumbit ei qui dicit, non ei qui negat) is the obligation on a party in a dispute to provide sufficient warrant for their position.π

And you play freddy instead of an actual killer, what does that say about you? Someone who can't mindgame and probably gets dumped on if you try to play an M1 killer. Keep spamming those snares like a pleb, I am happy they got nerfed.
Spoiler: I don't play Freddy. I'm a survivor main.
When I do play killer, it's Wraith or Trapper. Anything else?

There's so many pallets in the game you can get trapped at and snare lusted. Can't dodge the bright obvious red snares when you are stuck looping a car or something and will take a hit if you move off, so then you eat the snares and take a hit eventually anyways.
So you're a mediocre looper who refuses to learn and get better. Gotcha. Could have just said that in short terms instead of a long drawn out sentence.
-
@Ultra_Dyce said:
Oh man, so you need to place some of your snares in advance instead of mindlessly spamming them down at every loop? Freddy trash tier now.
Oh, you couldn't dodge the bright red obvious snares, so they needed to be nerfed because you don't know how to do anything but run around in a circle around the same pallet?
See? I can use that flawed logic too.

They aren't immune. I've had plenty of survivors try that trick on me, and I've been able to counter it.
If they are in the right position, they are in fact immune, unless you are running Oni.

There is nothing mentioned in the patch notes. Is this a bug? He somehow is not able to do anything while placing snares until the snare is fully activated. Feels like the delay on doctor after a shock attack. This feels totally different now. Anyone else noticed that? Can we revert that please?
I'd be willing to bet it's an intended shadow nerf. They've been tagged multiple times for comment, and have ignored it. Usually a good sign. Survivors complained, so they nerfed him.
@Peanits @Almo @not_Queen Any comment from any of you?

You'll see this referred to as "hook tech."
The devs responded to one thread and said they're looking into fixing it, but it'll take time because it's more complicated than expected.
To combat "hook tech" for now, just don't try to hit the survivor hiding under the hook. Stand there and stare at them, and that's two people not doing gens.
Unless you're Oni. You can hit that person with his power.
-
They'll hotfix the hell out of the DS bug. But Freddy's snare bug (and I heard Hag is having issues with something as well?) will take months, like Wraith and Spirit's lunges did. It's only deemed priority if it hurts survivors.
Case and point - the sound issues, not only have they not fixed them after MONTHS, they have yet to even address them directly.

I don't see why BT is an issue. Unless you tunnel, you'll hardly ever deal with it.
Except, most killers won't really want to tunnel you off the hook if you get farmed right in front of them. USUALLY what happens is, you get farmed, and they down you and go after the person who farmed you. They do that as a punishment to the unhooker, as it cucks them of benevolence because they didn't get the safe unhook.
-
Indeed. The threads they answer in they tend to ignore the main point of...no answer to the thread about Freddy's snare issue either. Which tells me it was an intentional shadow nerf.

@Toybasher said:
The only "Problem" with NOED is the fact it's very hard to keep track of totems outside of SWF.
There should be a way to track how many totems are left.
I've seen MANY ideas how to implement this such as Small Game getting a counter next to it, the counter being base-kit similar to how you can see how many generators are left, a thunder sound playing when the last totem is cleansed (Similar to when an active hex is cleansed), a little shrine in the basement which could have 5 candles which are extinguished with each totem cleansed, making the "Clunk!" noise when a dull totem is cleansed map-wide so survivors have to mentally keep track, etc.
NOED is fine, it's just the fact it's hard to tell if you've found all the totems when playing solo that's frustrating. I've had times where I cleansed 4 dulls, couldn't find the 5th, assumed another survivor must have found it, only to get clapped by NOED. I run Detective's Hunch and it's an excellent anti-totem perk.
Either way I don't think NOED is overpowered. Cheesy and frustrating, sure, but there's plenty of more obnoxious stuff in DBD. Just make it easier to tell when you've got all the totems. I'm probably one of the few survivors who goes out of their way to cleanse dulls (BP, lightbringer emblem points, etc.) and it does feel like other survivors are ignoring dulls.
I play solo exclusively. I rarely get hit by NOED. Because I destroy totems and can count to 5. Besides, you can see a NOED gamer coming from a mile away. If you're even half decent.
That's all I'll say.
-
Destroy totems. NOED can be COMPLETELY prevented.
-
Indeed. They overdid it.
But hey, not getting hooked is more fun for survivors. So why not?

I think your over exaggertlating it is acturally a fairly good perk especially with survelliance.
Your entire post is invalidated by the fact that it's a hex perk, and those are usually gone 60 seconds into a game. If it wasn't a hex perk, I'd agree with you 100%. It being a hex makes it beyond worthless, and the designers of this change should be ashamed of themselves.
-
Here's a revelation - stop playing fair. If winning is fun for you, play to win. Ultimately, survivors don't give a crap about your fun; and you shouldn't play by their unwritten rule book. Minimize in game chat, kick the living ######### out of them in whatever way you see fit, whether that be tunneling, camping, mori's etc, and go about your day.
-
@Dehitay said:

It's not that people can't win without old Ruin. It's that it requires a playstyle that survivors will cry about like crazy.
Oh yes. Crying will be much in the near future.
"Nerf tunneling!"
"Punish campers!"
Nerf Billy and Freddy! They have gen pressure REEEEEE!!"
Oh wait. Already happens.

Counter he said not failed and had to resort to noob-ed
The only noob part of noed is the survivors who fall victim to it because of their own failure of not cleansing totems.
-
Calm spirit will fall out of the meta in a couple weeks. It's just people being cheeky. I mean, if you know you're going to run against a certain killer for the majority of the time you're playing during a certain period, why wouldn't you run the most optimal kit to go against them?

The problem with your statement is the fact dbd is getting more and more money and players. How could that be a sign they're addressing the game's problems improperly?
The problem with your statement is it's only half true. The playerbase has been literally stagnant since about 5 months into it's life cycle. It's not gaining new players if people are also leaving. That's not "gaining" anything.
OBSERVABLE BACKUP TO MY WORDS:
An ongoing analysis of Steam's player numbers, seeing what's been played the most.Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught and killed. Two separate sources^^
You of all people should know better than to interject your single-line, baseless comments when replying to me. Show substance and base, cause I will shut that stuff down every single time.

I don't actually think you know what berating or belittling people is. I merely pointed out a fact. Someone came in, judged the thread title, didn't actually read the thread, and made a completely unfounded comment.

Yes buffing doc was exercising survivor priority.
It wasn't a buff, or a nerf. It suits a different and more productive playstyle, and they didn't do him wrong, but he remains about the same on the tier list. So that's irrelevant. Especially when the changes were made for the sake of survivors.

Our only hope is the new Predator and Resident Evil asymmetrical games. It will be the first time BHVR has been challenged by a real studio of the AAA variety. Perhaps it will make them pull their heads out of their asses.

Totally agree! Scrapping events altogether and replacing it with the rift was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Trying to maximize profits (for nothing more than average cosmetics) and at the same time putting as little effort into the gameplay as possible isnt a good sign
Indeed. You can tell it's going south when the game is nearly 4 years old and they are still catering to new players as the sole reason for balance changes in patches.

Yui is fine.
Tome 3 will probably contain either Ace, Jeff or Adam
Perhaps. Though, I'd say it will be a male character and a female character, and I think we both agree it's probably going to be Ace as the male character for Tome 3. Kate or Meg are a strong possibility IMO
-
Are you the type of person who avoids someone with a VAC ban from like 8 years ago?
In any case, the only UI update I want is a scale-able UI. I want to be able to make my UI elements smaller on my screen.
-
Or, it could be about the number of characters in game that are older, and more popular than Adam.
Claudette is SUPER popular, as are Jane and David. I'd be willing to bet Ace and either Kate or Yui are next in the list.

Im not 100% sure to be honest. I know the Predator character is a HUGE attraction, one many people on these forums have asked to see in DbD for years.
I dont know much about RE:R yet but there is quite a bit of hype surrounding it so far.
Indeed. Predator is a huge attraction...and when it comes to Resident Evil...those devs have been hitting it out of the park for a good while now, so if I were BHVR, I'd step up my game. Though, I think people are right when they know they are on borrowed time and are planning for the short term to make as much cash as possible.

I feel like if a genuine competitor in the asymmetrical horror genre emerges then DbD will suffer hugely. Predator: Hunting Grounds and Resident Evil: Resistance are both around the corner so time will tell
