Not sure if you skipped to the end, but matchmaking and ranking are both being completely changed. Yes, ranks will be hidden at some point, but only because they are not going to be used for matchmaking. Instead, we'll be using a different method to track skill (independent of emblems) and matching you based on that.
I think I speak for all of us when I say: Remember when you, and your white knights went and dismissed the leaked patch notes as incorrect because they said you were going to hide ranks?
This new update, while a step in the right direction, proves you guys were simply going to hide them anyway had the notes not been leaked; and BHVR wonders why their relationship with their players is tainted and is in such awful standing. Try being up front with us the first time in the future, and maybe you guys will get less of the (much earned) hate you guys get. You guys need to remember why your game is popular. It was 30% BHVR, 70% the community. Honesty is important, and we've put up with enough broken patches and shady crap to deserve full transparency at the very least; and not just when convenient. All the time.

I'm sorry, but can you blame killers at this point? Do you really think they like doing this to survivors? Blame the Devs, not the killers. I myself have resorted to this crap just to even earn a single kill. Ruin being nerfed has really made it pretty much near impossible for many killers to even keep pressure on. Matchmaking lets Red ranks just bulldoze through low rank killers. Have you even attempted to play killer recently? If not, I'd suggest you do before you make these assumptions of killers. Then you will see just how bad it is for us!
Pretty much this. The devs had the lack of sense, and the balls to tell killers "just let the first 2 gens go"...killers responded by saying "Instead, I'll just tunnel and camp the survivors because they are overly altruistic and will go for the save even if they know the killer is camping, and then turn around and complain about it like it's anyone fault but their own".

Yes you’re a survivor main.....and I’m the Queen of England.
2149 hours in game. Over 1500 of which is survivor. Bill in particular. He's the only one I have P3'd because he's my main.
But okay, whatever it takes for you to justify your own logically flawed rhetoric to yourself. 😎

When the map loads, and it's swamp.

Literally, as both killer and survivor, screw swamp.

Meanwhile you moan about pretty much every single thing that survivors have and gen times.
But you don’t need to get better oh no. When you complain it’s definitely balance related and nothing to do with your skill at all.
I'm survivor main. I'm asking for it to be harder for me. I'm literally asking to get better, unlike yourself, demanding nerfs to balanced killers. Keep shooting. You'll keep missing. There is no version of this where you're right.

Right after both keys are nerfed, and DS is actually an anti tunnel perk instead of a superman perk.

I play the game so I can actually. Nice troll about Hag. All I said was that there is nothing you can do in one specific scenario - a point which you never refuted. Never specifically said the killer was OP.
So either refute my point or pipe down about it.
You're also someone who consistently says Billy is somehow OP and has no downside. So I agree with @underlord99. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you have a very skewed idea of what both "overpowered" and "balance" is. This is just a matter of you needing to get better.

No, you don't. Ruin is insidious and very powerful if ignored. You as the killer just need to push the survivors off of the gen for it to work.
DS does literally nothing if you don't tunnel off the hook. BT and DS are both 100% avoidable if you don't play like a jerk. I never get hit with either of them. They're completely wasted perks. The only reason they're "meta" is because most killers are toxic jerks... And only toxic jerks complain about them.
"Ruin is insidious...until it gives the notification that it exists"
You must work for BHVR. And/or never play killer.
Also, there are situations where DS can not be avoided.

Survivors run unbreakable as their insurance policy for DS, since the main counter is to slug them.
As I said, Unbreakable is not required to make DS useful. At red ranks, ruin needs something else to even be remotely useful, and even then, it's trash tier.

Unbreakable is an insurance policy for the killer slugging and not letting me use DS. It still applies.
No. It doesn't. You don't need unbreakable for DS to be useful at any given rank.

"So since killers are getting ran into the ground with every nerf, what's gonna happen now?"
And forgets the tons of Buffs Killers received and all the Nerfs Survivors got...
The difference between survivor nerfs and killer nerfs is that when something is nerfed on the survivor side (barring actual broken things like instaheals and BNPs), the core functionality remains the same. Usually when killer things are nerfed, they are reworked to a point of being unrecognizable.

- Ghostface
- Hags massive buff
- Freddy rework
- Doctor update
- Surveillance buff
- PGTW removing 25% across all tiers
- efficiency decrease when 2 or more survivors are working on gens
- Insta heal nerf
- DS nerf and BL nerf amongst other survivor nerfs
- The recent Oni buff that made him get his flick back
And i am just mentioned the ones I can recall off the top of my head that have happened in my year of so of playtime, killers had it way worse in the past
"B-but BHVR is catering too much to those evil survivors mains ;_;"
Or maybe you can not adapt and just want free, unskilful games?
Your entire post is voided by how the 3.5.0 patch notes are worded. Everything was done to make it easier for survivors.

Who cares? Play dirty. Don't live by the book of killer rules written by survivors.

So you get 1-2 DCs EVERY GAME and are still able pip to pip/double pip, then I don't know, maybe you are some crazy killer god.
Rank 15 to rank 3 is 40 pips.
If you 1 piped every game, and if matchmaking + match takes 15 minutes on average, then it would take you 10 HOURS.
And that is if you 1 piped EVERY GAME, every entity displeased is -2 pips, every brutal killer is -1 pip, mercilles killer is +1 pip.
So basically you are either lying, somehow you are able to double pip with people DCing, or you just no lifed for 12 hours straight
He's lying.

It's ok, you'll never get a genuine response out of people about Hillbilly.
They've had the mantra of "most balanced killer in the game" drilled into them by an echo chamber of youtubers and twitcheys that steamroll with him every match, because they don't want easy mode nerfed.
They also want to feel good about themselves, so pretend that he takes some unfathomable skill to move your mouse to the left or right.
Any tool can jump on Hillbilly and perform far better than most other killers in the roster. His power provides too much advantage at 0 drawback. His add ons take away the small amount of skill requirement (easier steering) while also making him completely broken (insanely fast charge up.) He simply does not fit with the balance of every other killer where high mobility comes at some form of cost, usually lower base movement speed.
People like to get their right hand lubed up and say they can magically beat Billy by looping and that 110 speed would somehow kill him off. Sure, maybe a baby Billy. Every other killer that has the insane mobility he has moves at 110 does just fine, Hag doesn't get 100% of hits from teleports, and comparatively, all the other 115 speed killers are expected to get ALL their hits in basic chases and don't have cross map mobility on top of a one shot.
The extent of "outplaying" a Billy comes down to guessing the coin toss of 'does he go left or right?'
Imagine not being able to dodge a killer with such little turning control, even with drift king Billy addons.
OOF.

What do you mean? Unbreakable and DS are both an insurance policy. There's a chance it never gets used. There's a chance that they do get used. When using both, one can backup the other in case killer slugs or decides to tunnel and pickup.
You're missing the point.
Unbreakable and DS aren't an insurance policy for another perk. They are insurance policies by themselves. You shouldn't have to run one perk as an insurance policy for another, using two perk slots.

I personally did not hear that. I heard something about how pop, thana and surge dont have much synergy, but are now more backups than combos.
I mean, I could have missed something. Please, inform me if I am wrong.
They actually did say they didn't want slow down perks to have as much synergy. On top of that, the suggestion was "run ruin, with pop as an insurance policy". Like...what do survivors have to run with borrowed time and DS for their insurance policy? By suggesting that we even NEED other perks as an insurance policy, they're outright admitting that Ruin is garbage now.

Billy 100% requires skill to play effectively. With Myers, I can usually manage a 3-4k. With Billy, it's a 0-2k with post-game messages telling me I should uninstall the game. If Hillbilly was easy to master, I wouldn't be doing more poorly with him than most other killers. And I have put some time into him, as he was the first killer I've played.
This.
"Billy is so easy!" - Tell that to the people starting out as Billy who constantly miss chainsaws or hit walls, while being bullied by other new players on the survivor side.
"Billy needs a nerf!"
KEKW.

Resident Evil would never soil it's good name by appearing in this spaghetti code infested game. Don't think other game developers don't see how BHVR have turned themselves into a meme; and not in a good way.
-
I mean, nobody is more critical of BHVR than me, but the guy above me is right. Everyone who posts here saying they are done are doing it for attention and were probably reinstalling 30 seconds after hitting the "POST COMMENT" button.

If only there were a perk to negate his power completely....
Also, shock blast has a cooldown and can't be spammed. Get into a locker if you're that scared. Even more, his blast is WAY less BS than the passive madness thing. At least this requires them to do something.

That's not what they said at all lol
They didn't say that verbatim, but they did outright say they want gen slowdown perks to have a lot less synergy.
Then they turn around and say "Ruin is great! Use surveilance! To which I say "Okay, tell me what perk survivors have to accompany DS, Borrowed Time or an exhaustion perk with to make it worthwhile? It's 1v4. The killer shouldn't have to stack perks to accomplish one function.
-
You must be new to the game. You clearly don't know the full history of their PR, among other shenanigans.
I think that when a game developer has never released an update that didn't break at least three things, some of those things STILL being broken to this very day after years, they deserve what they get.

It’s B.S.
Here’s an idea:
Add 1-2 more gens on the big maps, and make survivors have to repair 7.
Problem solved.
That comes with the same issue as increasing gen times. I want games to be slowed down as killer but even I don't want to have to sit and hold M1 for even longer as a survivor.
Just make the maps smaller. Which, to their credit, they said they are going to do.

Why did they take legacy again? I forgot. And also, do only PC players have it?
They didn't take it away, really. There was an epidemic back in the early days where you would lose your save file. A lot of people lost Legacy that way...and they claim there's no possible way to give it back to us.
Also, PC only, yes. Since to have Legacy cosmetics, you needed to prestige whatever character you had it on before November 24, 2016.

Unfortunately while I can play optimally and 4k in red ranks without ruin it takes me being a c**t to do it.
My question: Who cares if it takes you playing in a way survivors don't approve of? Newsflash - 99% of survivors don't give a rats ass about your fun. So disregard theirs and stop living by the unwritten book of killer rules written by survivor mains. Beat them down, by any means necessary. Play to win.

Thought it was due to lag but now that we have dedicated servers it's not lag is it
Dedicated servers don't stop lag.
Basically, before we were on peer 2 peer servers. Where the killer hosted. So on their screen, it looked like it hit, but on the survivors screen it looked like then were a mile away. With dedicated servers, it's very much the same, except it may not even appear to hit on the killers screen, and leave them confused on how they got that hit.
-
Hitboxes aren't the issue, and it will never be completely fixed.
It's desync. It can improve, but will never be perfect simply due to the nature of online multiplayer games. It's a thing in every online game. You just notice this more because it's so up close, with melee hits etc.
-
It looks great, and it's balanced. Not too many safe pallets, not too many windows, but not too little either.
-
I don't know about counting as a sacrifice, but if you get a DC, you should be immune to depipping as killer. If more than 1 person DC's, everyone else should be guaranteed a black pip.

Honestly camping is really only used by low low rank (16-20) killers because they don’t know better. Anyone doing it on higher ranks is toxic, bad at game, or a bubba.
I'm literally at rank 2 survivor at the moment. Other red and purple rank killers are proxy camping until the cows come home. I mean, it happened before, but after the ruin nerf, it's every other game now.
Can't say I blame them, to be honest.
