Keep it civil. Debate with facts and be respectful. I don't care what your argument is, @AsePlayer is making you look like a child who calls people names.
I'm not commenting on either of your points, just asking you both to continue in a logical and civilized debate.
I've not called anyone a name.
I might be sarcastic and facetious, but I'm not insulting anyone.

Almost like there's more than one platform to pull stats from. Go grab the PS4, XBox, Switch, and Windows store ones while you're at it.
PC is the flagship platform with the largest overall playerbase in the game. Nice attempt at a strawman, though.

You're always right? I will need the stats to back that up bud.
And sure, you can always be right in your head if you try hard enough.
It would be statistically accurate to say a majority of the people with less than 80 posts complaining on here aren't exactly beta players. Especially when they just say "I believe that the Devs should get fired for ruining this game". Anyone who's been around long enough can actually articulate what they want to say. A majority of these forum posts really show they haven't played long. Same with people who call to nerf Leatherface for some reason because "you can't avoid his chainsaw". You just know they're not veterans to the game.
Also - sounds like something a stalker would say.
If it would be statistically accurate, then you must have statistical data.
I also didn't say I was always right. I said I was right about Billy not being OP. Which 95% of the community agrees with me on. THAT I can provide observable data on. AKA every post here talking about Billy nerfs. It's pretty unanimous aside from the same few people that he's not OP.
So, since you made the bold claim that what you said is "statistically accurate" - either provide the statistics to back it up, or walk away.

No it is, it's exactly like spawn camping in that one player is preventing the other from playing. Spawn camping doesn't happen at the beginning of a match, there is ample time to try until it happens which is just like face camping. But I already know your an entitled killer who face camps. So I'm not responding after this.
No, it really isn't. If you were spawn camped, you had zero opportunity to retreat or run away, or stealth away, and no tools to do anything about it. The opposite is true for a survivor in a chase with a killer.
Also - survivor main, bud. i just don't get camped, cause I don't get caught. Apparently, you get caught a lot. Perhaps you should analyze yourself.
You forfeit the debate the second you through insults around. Take the L, my dude.

Are a lot of people still playing killer? I still do, but I feel like I get instant games as killer but not as survivor. Is that due to the rank problems or lack of killers?
There are people playing killer. There are just significantly less than there were before.

Sure, everything dies eventually. I don't think that statement really means anything.
This game was supposed to "die" multiple times with every major change that pissed one side off and yet here it is. Growing in player count. Crazy, right?
Growing in player count.
Wut? It's been stagnant in playercount more or less since about 5 months after it came out. It pops once in a while for DLC's, then evens out to around the same number. Stop making claims you don't actually have data on.
ALSO - statistical data to back my claim:
An ongoing analysis of Steam's player numbers, seeing what's been played the most.and

Same with you on any Hillbilly post fam. It's like you stalk my every move or something.
It WAS harder before, and a majority of people who complain about killer right now weren't even around for it and think this is the worst it has been.
You repeated yourself again o.O Imagine that. The difference between us is, when I repeat myself, I provide logic, and I'm actually right. When you do it, it's one-liner meaningless statements with no logical backing. You can't just say "it was a lot harder before" and have it invalidate someones statement that it's still a horses ass now. There's no substance to that.
In any case - all the killers complaining now that have been around since then? Marth? Tyde? Tru3? many others? How do you plan to discredit them? Also, where are these numbers from? Where are your sources? "The majority of them weren't around before". You must have statistical data to make such a claim, right? Cough it up, bud! I'd love to see it! 😎
Also - I would never stalk you. Don't flatter yourself.

Are we forgetting killer used to be way harder than it is now to fit a certain narrative? Ok cool, just making sure.
You tend to post the same thing repeatedly I see.
Imagine thinking "It was harder before" justifies the difficulty offset vs survivor difficulty that still exists. Killer is the power role. Or rather, is supposed to be.

Do it.

But in that case games would just be horrible and I think it would be very obvious despite hiding it.
No statement about why they are not showing it? Like maybe they don't want the killer to know and already focus specific weaker survivors in early game?
It would be obvious, you're right. But this is BHVR. If you've been playing this game for long enough, you'd know that it wouldn't be the first time something has been obvious and they deny it outright.

anything he can so he can defend his survivor sided new lery rework that has over 9000 pallets
To be fair, I have a great time on Lery's as a killer. Depending on the killer, that is. It's a lot like Hawkins. A lot of pallets, not a lot of safe ones, and almost all of them (aside from like 2) can be mind gamed.
-
@DanteMorello said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1045173#Comment_1045173
Then that is pretty bad. I did not catch that from what I had read about it so far.
I can imagine though that an MMR that maybe goes up to let's say 1000 is more accurate than ranks 20 to 1 because even in red you get people with or against you who are not playing well.
But yea without displaying it, it is a bit harder to check if it is performing as it should.
Exactly. I see no reason to hide it.
I actually kind of believe all the conspiracy theorists when they say they are "hiding" the skill rating because it doesn't exist, and they are simply going to open up matchmaking to everyone for quicker matches, and that this whole thing is an elaborate excuse to do the rank hiding thing to blanket it like they wanted to before according to the leaked 3.5.0 patch notes.
-
@DanteMorello said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1045148#Comment_1045148
Again, as far as I understood the changes, the MMR will be shown.
And as far as that is also correct the rank will not be used anymore for matchmaking as soon as it is not shown anymore and merely be a prestige thing.
"Again" what?
They literally said in the notes that it will be hidden. Verbatim, that is what they said. They called it a "hidden skill rating". Literally.
Maybe you should read the announcement again?

Those are not the same. Face camping is like spawn camping in FPS.
Finishing 3 gens is not like that at all.
No, it's not like spawn camping. The killer didn't down you as soon as you spawned in. You had ample time to run and the resources/tools to not get caught.

Yes because why Show something that is not used for match making anymore?
I don't know how the MMR thing will turn out but I hope it will match more accurately.
I will not miss any rank and as far as I understood from discord and notes, the MMR will be shown instead of rank.
Why hide something that is used for match making? Like they are doing with their MMR?

New Ultra Rare: You don't become faster, but your attack lasts 3 seconds and you can down multiple Survivors.
They'll call it: The Cannibal.
That really does show how trash Leatherface is, doesn't it? That he can be accurately condensed to an addon? lol

I'd like to see gameplay-changing Ultras, like idk: He can control it like an M1 weapon, but requires fuel, and tons of it, which can be picked up from Lockers.
Okay, maybe not specifically that, but y'know: Gameplay-changers.

Do you know how the devs could punish face camping? By making the hook timer stop when the killer is camping you unless EGC has started or you are the only one left of course.

Do you know how devs could punish looping? By making the survivors health slowly deplete until they are in dying state.

Good billys rarely get dodged point blank but if you get caught in the open that's your own fault yes. I agree that if it's ultra rare, stacking is not an issue.
The thing about being point blank is just like you said - if you are caught in the open, that's a risk you took as a survivor and it is definitely your own fault. In any other circumstance, you can force even god tier Billy mains to M1, even at an average jungle gym tile without a pallet.
-
@oke said:
Carburetor Tuning Guide probably shouldn't stack, or be bumped to Ultra Rare, but else, Billy is fine. Most balanced killer there is, map knowledge and expertise in mechanics can be used effectively, but with a reasonable amount of counterplay.
It should definitely be ultra rare, but stacking isn't an issue ever since Tinkerer was reworked. Instasaw doesn't exist anymore after that and it can be easily dodged unless the survivor was potato enough to put themselves in a really bad position.
-
Only bad survivors think Hillbilly needs a nerf.
2/10 bait
-
Depends on the killer. If I'm Trapper, or Huntress, Haddonfield.
-
Gen rushing isn't a thing. Survivors have no other objective.
-
I'll just duct tape this to the very relevant OP:
ALSO just a reminder that Hillbilly doesn't need a nerf
If you think he does you're just not a good survivor.
-
Survivor is easy mode.

Seems like the phrase "safest pallets in the entire game" get thrown out a lot when talking about various maps. You guys gotta make up your mind.
I mean, the hallway pallet is probably in the top 3 safest pallets in the game. Right up there with killer shack, and the 2 pallets by the bathroom on the game. Actually, the Game is safe pallet city, so he has a point.
What was it you were trying to discredit again?

@Rivyn said:

That's the thing, though. How do you, or this killer, define 'winning?' Some focus on points and pipping, others on kills/escapes, and still others, how they can make one person miserable. When somebody is face camping, they most likely don't care about points. They're either A) inexperienced, B) ticked off, C) Aren't even facecamping, and just waiting for the ultra altruistic team to get near, or D) just want to make somebody misterable. Points don't really, and pipping, only play into C. And Bubba, being THE facecamping king, kinda plays into the meme. So while rushing gens and getting out is the viable option, that doesn't mean the facecamper actually cares about points.
I didn't say anything about anyone winning. I referred specifically to points.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
Killer mains on camping - “just rush gens”
Killer mains after camper gets a few more kills with NOED - “should have done totems”
Survivor mains on camping - "nerf camping"
Survivor mains on DS needing a rework to be more anti tunnel instead of invincibility - "stop tunneling"
Survivor mains on balanced killers - "nerf Hillbilly"

Whether or not they get chainsawed depends on the survivor's competence, maybe this is something you're lacking?
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1044047#Comment_1044047
Ok...so there is precision then?
It's hard to refer to it as precision. There's 1.5 seconds of possible precision. I say possible because it's right at the beginning of his chainsaw (as opposed to what you referred to, being during the charge or near the end), and it's a super high sensitivity (comparable to insane Halo sensitivity from back in the day...move your mouse a centimetre, do 18 360s). Most players have a hard time adapting to that high of a sensitivity.
But during the charge, when you'll use it the most, there is none.
@Mikeasaurus said:
I don't mind Billy's personally. But the ones who just chainsaw everything in sight, nope. I respect a Billy that doesn't just rely on a easy down. I've met a fair few who are fantastic to go against that really tested my skill
If the Billy gets an "easy down" with a chainsaw, it's entirely because the survivor allowed it to happen. It's insanely easy to force a Billy to M1. Also - M1ing is far easier than using the chainsaw.
-
@24Life said:
That's not the perfect way as playing solo you can't communicate. Thanks anyway.
Then that's the end of it then. There is no "ending" camping. Campers camp because survivors allow it.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1044007#Comment_1044007
Well you can't pick up Billy and be immediately god tier...then again I'm speaking from console perspective where max sensitivity doesn't even whip your camera around.
There is one point, like 1 to 1.5 seconds at the beginning of Billy's chainsaw, where he has amazing control. Other than that, there's not a lot of precision. It's "go in a general direction while giving survivors a huge tell that you're on your way, and thus ample time to dodge".
-
The perfect way to end killers camping is for the rest of your team to do gens and leave. Then they lose points.
The devs have stated that camping is a legitimate strategy. Against half decent players, it's not a particularly good strategy, but it's legitimate.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
Welcome to dbd! In meta play, Billy is actually much stronger than bubba because Billy can traverse the map at high speeds and cut loops short quickly with precision.
