  • Also with the new Winters Expansion id love to see Rosemary as a survivor or something

  • @jesterkind said:

I'd love to see more RE skins- I'm also championing the idea of a Moira Burton as a legendary skin for Rebecca, I'd love to see her make it to the game.

I'd also love to see more cosplay skins. I made a thread about it before the two we got were revealed, but I wanna see the OG four survivors as STARS members, with Claudette being the medic, I'd use those skins nonstop.

    Claudette cosplaying Rebecca? sounds awesome.

I think pig should get a buff where her dash range/speed is increased because at higher mmr its extremely hard to play her and get hooks using her dash. When playing at high mmr looping with pig is hard and her dash isn't really viable, its better to just use her basic attack than dashing so I think it needs a buff.

That's what her yellow addons do, you can mix it and make it pretty fun to ambush. Base kit though does feel slow so you really have to surprise survivors

  • just delete the map, it's horrible to navigate and bleak level 100. Need more maps anyways

  • I'm hoping for more killer animated icons uwu

He is strong but I don't enjoy playing him. He is clunky and not really interesting.

what you said in the second part is how his power feels.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

Meh, I think his basekit is mostly fine. His addons are a different story though.

It is in Theory but literally playing him with good add ons just feel clunky, his trail he sends forward is so easy to predict and it takes so long to recover in chases.

Well looking specifically at the huntress the main difference between the baba yaga skin and the mordeo skin is the mordeo is a licensed skin which is why it is legendary

how do you justify paying the same price for less features???

  • @TheArbiter said:

    An unwanted finishing mori

  • @espooked said:

Only will pay 15$ for Carlos

  • @dugman said:

If it helps they did announce recently that they are making all the costumes for all the non-licensed characters be purchasable with shards. So things like Oni's Minotaur and dark knight outfits, the Huntress Baba Yaga, and so on will all have shard prices if you want to get them that way rather than spending cash.

Or they could just make it so if it's a legendary skin like Baba Yaga, it should have the same changes and be an actual legendary skin, Mordeo is the same price and just changes her outfit. There's a lot of skins like this in the store and its ass

She already is the worst killer. maybe trapper is tied but still. remove iri tape. i dont really care about ring drawing but buff tvs like you said would be fine

removing her Iri tape would just make her useless

    Sadako, the best Buff possible:

Sadako's sentence progresses automatically, it is not possible to stop him.

     Conviction has 5 levels.

Each level has an effect, each effect stacks with the previous one.

Condemnation levels up every 2 minutes.

When a Survivor places a tape in a TV, the time required to gain a level of Conviction is doubled on themselves.

When Sadako hits a survivor, the latter is under the following effect:

     LVL 1: Hindered

     LVL 2: Mangled

     LVL 3: Heamorrhage

     LVL 4: Exhausted

LVL 5: Exposed (When the last generator is repaired).

When Sadako teleports to a TV, the TV reloads after 60 seconds by default.

Each time Condemnation levels up, TV cooldown is reduced by 5 seconds.

Red Addon: Television cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds for each level reached.

Red Addon: Conviction time reduced to 45 seconds per level.

On the other hand, survivors will not be affected by level 5.

     Purple Addon:

At level 4, survivors also suffer the incapacitated effect for 60 seconds.

anything is better than what we have currently

Literally all of them? And thats something that should be basekit anyway, and being asleep is hardly a threat anyway since competent survivors dont use skillchecks to wake themselves up anyway because its detrimental

Plus thats an iridescent addon for something that should be basekit given how weak his power is

She can teleport faster than freddy, each individual tv has a long cooldown, yes, but this is completely negated by her iri tape, which unlike freddy's iridescent, is strong like an iridescent addon is supposed to be

TVs are almost always positioned next to gens to so it does not matter much if she isnt teleporting on top of one (and alerting before even doing so)

Basekit wise, without her addons, yeah she is worse i will give you that, but in TOTAL? Sadako is way better than Freddy

Which is why she needs a buff without relying on Iri tape, without it and such she's really weak and can't lock down a team

The ability to teleport to another tv immediately? Idk what u mean by this

If your referring to the long cooldown, iri tape pretty much solves this

Yeah but that's what i am saying in my post. This was the issue with other killers is you ahd to take a pink in order to be a real deal threat in the match bruh

There are a lot of games where survivors don't run Dead Hard and still escape. I don't see what your point is.

People tend to turn to memeing or passive jabbing rather than adding something constructive to the conversation. just ignore them

Yeah but Freddy at least has a power in chase, not a good one but something that does actually help end chases or at least get through pallets faster. Unless you do pallet Freddy which is definitely weaker but then you have to consider BK Myers so I dont really count the meme builds.

then what does Sadako have after using a tv? not much lol

  • @EvilSerje said:

If you want tips, another former Hag main here too.

    1. Make a controlled spammable teleport button. I don't know if it would be some button or mouse wheel, but you need to spam it during gameplay to immediately teleport. But I said "controllable", so you could stop spam at any given moment, I'll tell why later.
    2. Always set up the web, always! You cannot have 9 available traps on your hand, you're the weakest at that moment. You always must have a web zone which you are gonna protect and drag survivors into. Outside of your web you are nothing, inside you are the nightmare.
    3. Hag doesn't chase!!! She is slow and weak. She works like spider and lure survivors into her web. If you're running after survivor more than 10 seconds and without any trap nearby, you doing it wrong.
    4. If survivor step on your trap - replace it (if it's not temporary loopblocking trap outside of your web), see part 2.
    5. Corall survivor into your trap while chasing him. Use mindgames (for example if survivor trigger trap on one side of the pallet, and you're on the other, don't teleport immediately, wait for his move, if he stays too long, teleport and hit, if he goes towards you, you know what to do)
    6. There are two different playstyles - "Rusty Shackles" addon and no "Rusty Shackles" (I'm not talking about Shoe addon, it's more meme). Rusty shackles require you to place traps in jumpscare positions, where you can appear out of nowhere and hit/grab. General gameplay is to place traps a little off path, so survivor is forced to swerve of his path and lose time.
    7. Primarily place traps in hidden spots (in the grass) or unexpected ones (like open area between two points of interest where survivors are likely to run)
    8. The main Hag perk is Franklin's Demise. Besides the huge trouble flashlights give you, dropped items create additional "point of interest". Trap it immediately, greedy survivor always return for their items.
    9. Losing 3 gens at the start without even zero hit is normal Hag match. First you need to choose your zone to protect and set up your web. Without web you're nothing, I repeat. Ideally you get 3-4 gens in your web and drag downed survivors into it. Always maintain your web.
    10. You can move your web if survivors managed to make it useless (like did gens in it), but web should always be!
    11. Seasoned survivors and SWF will give you headache. They will trigger your traps from a safe distance, bait you to drop chase and if hit, go to safe zone outside your web and reset. It is war of attrition and nothing Hag could do except to protect her web. Replace traps in different tricky places, surprise them and protect the gens.
    12. If there is a chance to drag survivor into killer shack, that's mostly gg. Free escape from Hag's shack possible only if Hag did sloppy performance. If one survivor is in the shack, that means at least one is dead at the end. They can trade themselves one for one with high risk, but the result is the same. If not, you're doing it wrong.
    13. Hag require strategic gameplay more than any killer, even more than trapper. Watch how Pro's doing on YT (I highly recommend "Michi")

this is great i never thought of number 8. lmaoo thank you <3

  • @Jhei said:

The things I want for Sadako are:

    1. The lack of hitbox while demanifested should extend to pallets, so she can walk through them. She can still be stunned, but if a pallet is down already, she should be able to walk through it while demanifested. She still has to take the time to remanifest before she can hit the survivors, so it's not Nurse levels of powerful, but it gives a little bit of pressure.
    2. If someone is fully condemned, THEY NEED TO BE EXPOSED. There is nothing more upsetting than fully condemning someone, chasing them to their TV, and know that there's nothing you can do to prevent them from getting rid of it because if you hit them, unless you've got 7+ stacks of Play with your Food, they have time to put their tape in before you can hit them again and down them. For the amount of time and effort it takes to fully condemn someone, the least they can do is make it possible for us to mori them. Hell, it could even be something along the lines of "a fully condemned player is exposed when carrying a tape" or "within ___ meters of a TV".
    3. Reduce the cooldown timer of TV's, especially if you are turning them off yourself. I can understand long cooldown if the survivors go out of their way to turn them off and hinder your abilities, but being able to teleport more often would be a huge boost to mobility.

Yeah In general Condemn needs a boost to be actually fun and practical to use. without survivors using the wiping of the blade animation to escape the condemn. Literally nothing you can do if she's not running Play with your food perk

  • @not_requested49 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3224959#Comment_3224959

What exactly does he have with basekit? His puddles and long teleport which gets worse as the game goes on? Not to mention his puddles can be completely negated if the survivor is awake

Clown and dredge are both better than freddy at what they do, clown having a better hinder (that cant be ignored) and dredge having a way better teleport

Even sadako's teleport can be better because she can teleport a lot of times in a row

Basekit wise, theyre pretty close yeah but in total because she HAS good addons it makes her better than freddy who has NO good addons and arguably the worst set in the whole game

What add ons of freddy's are so bad??? He has some really nice ones especially the one that makes it so failing skill checks keeps you asleep.

Sadako doesn't teleport to gens like freddy does, i feel also it's a slower process with sadako than Freddy in that scenario

  • @not_requested49 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3222375#Comment_3222375

Maybe not but at least she HAS it

Unlike Freddy who doesn't even have any good addons and is terrible as well

Freddy has a lot at his disposal from basekit, and his add ons change that gameplay slightly for different perk builds. Sadako on the other hand from what she has, you HAVE TO BRING specific perks with her or it's gonna be a really unfun frustrating time playing her. She needs to be basekit strong and then play with add ons, not basekit weak and have to spend a huge amount of blood points to be able to do anything with add ons

  • It's hard to not see this as somewhat true, Sadako's power could be a little more impacting on the game.

  • @ArthurVeloso said:

Sadako is indeed one of the weakest killer in the game, but she has the same problem as the Pig had before nerf. She is able to body block the last TV and force you to get condemned, like Pig could do with the jigsaw boxes. This cheap strategy is used with the purple addon, Editing Tape, that makes all four survivors start with one tape at the beginning of the match, and the Yoiche's fishing mat, that builds condemn faster.

So, if Pig was nerfed because she was able to body block the jigsaw boxes, sadako should be nerfed in the same way because once you are fully condemned, your location is revealed and the killer can just tunnel you out of the game easily. (No hooks are necessary for this strategy).

She actually needs a buff shes so weak lmao like why would you say she needs a nerf? lol

This is how we get another shift w meta. What you want is to be able to take every resource in the game before the first few gens pop. That's silly. Like it or not, survivors need to be able to escape.

You could years ago when Mori's didn't require a hook. So like it or not some people want a challenge in this game. It's ez mode

  • @SoulKey said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3215277#Comment_3215277

wow that would be an insane balance, hope they do that.

Imagine if survivors were able to vault a window infinitely without getting blocked, how busted that would be compared.

The point being is 3 being the limit is way too much forgiveness, the chase should move on

  • @Spirit_IsTheBest said:

A mini Bamboozle wouldn't hurt in my opinion, allows survivors to make smarter decisions and makes chases a bit easier.

A 10% increase to vaulting speed and maybe a 5-7 window block would be fine enough.

I'd say through testing that is, first idea is to push the chase to move on, not just run in circles. That's the biggest goal here, i hate that there's just pallets used as a getaway and not other things by now. I wish there was other things to stop the killer for a moment, or more places to hide other than lockers

  • @Brimp said:

Omg I didn’t hear about this. I refuse to spend actual money on skins, so this is really awesome.

Some of them are worth the money, like the survivor ones that literally change the character but keep the same perk of that original survivor. That's some awesome stuff, I can definitely tell you Baba Yaga is worth it way more than the tier above it "The Mordeo", Baba Yaga is a tier below and changes her lullaby and a bunch of other stuff, as it should.

  • @Dustin said:

I'll chip in for Hunk as I've purchased that - As an avid Resident Evil fan and a Dead By Daylight Enjoyer to me the Hunk skin is worth 10 dollars maybe. The outfit itself is awesome - How could you not like Hunk? But the status itself I expected just a little bit more flair especially since as a killer once I'm out of the lobby I only see the weapon which leaves me purely with audio things. I feel like I'm being reasonable when I say this skin specifically deserved a little more love.

While the Hunk skin is equipped in the lobby it should replace the Legion icon with Hunk. This would be local and purely client side but this would add A LOT to the immersion of the purchase. Hunk as crazy as it sounds is an insanely iconic and beloved character - Having him recognized as Mr. Death in the lobby with his own picture would have been awesome.

Past that - Once we get in game Hunk has a wonky run animation - Regardless on whether it looked good or not the killer can't see it so it does nothing for us. Cool addition though.

The audio effects is just Frank with a filter on top of it - They don't sound great and I'll outright say it - For 15 dollars I was expecting voice lines even if a small amount - Compare Hunk on Legion with The Chatterer on The Cenobite - Big difference.

The thing everyone expected here was custom chase music - Not only does Hunk have music in Resident Evil 2 that people instantly think of when they play through RE2 (Looming Dread) but Legion is a killer in DBD who is now known for having a large variety of chase music due to the mix tapes. The disappointment that Hunk didn't add onto this diverse set of chase music is very high and was probably the most disappointing part of this purchase.

Finally - The lobby shows Hunk using custom animations and stuff - That's awesome. This is pushing it but if none of the above things were improved I was expecting a custom Mori. I'm fine with no custom mori but at the same time without something popping out while playing as killer using this skin it just feels like an underwhelming purchase. The only time we get to truly enjoy our purchase is in the lobby. We should be able to enjoy our purchase while in game too.

Overall a disappointing purchase - I bought it because Hunk is one of my favorite Resident Evil 2 characters - He's cold, heavily objective focused and a badass. Hearing him or having some audio changes in game that were noticeable would have gave more of that feeling but that's all very lacking.

See this is what I'm talking about, some of the purchases feel mega underwhelming compared to something either higher tiered or lower tiered. Why should One legendary have cool additions like Chase themes, lullably, voices, and then an ultimate which is an above tier has none of that.

If it's just changing the clothes it shouldn't be listed more than a purple skin if you ask me.

The big question is why would you want to buy a more expensive skin with less features? bottom line

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

I like most of the Iridescent outfits already. OP is down talking Baba Yaga while I’m over here thinking BY should be the standard.

Krampus and Blight’s Greek Outfit are incredibly detailed. I would like more of those. So idk if I agree that they’re bad or need improvement so much as I wish for more options.

It might just come down to matters of taste which reverts back to what Regulus said. “Don’t buy.”

You're missing the point of my statement and just from what I'm reading thinking i'm saying "They suck don't buy them" when that's not it at all. I want them to be better and all Skins that Tier should have the same changes..IE: Special Mori(which i wish they would put on PC already) Special Chase Theme/ terror radios , Special Voice change,

Baba yaga has a great spooky new lullaby theme and such and is a pink at Pink's price, then you have an ultimate skin which changes nothing but clothes and is more expensive. It doesn't make much sense to me, even buying it anyway with that understanding you can just imagine all the minor tweaks that could make these things better

If you read the first sentence in the original post and then the response you’re quoting, the logic adds up quickly.

No it still doesn't because it's for a series i enjoy or whatever it is regardless i bought it and just want it to be better considering it's advertised tier and comparing it to other items that have more exclusivity, How are you not gonna complain that one Legendary or Ultimate changes things about the character but the other one doesn't yet they are priced the same?

There has been many videos recently of players using Sadako’s “condemned slugging play style” using the ‘Iridescent video tape’ & ‘Ring drawing’ add-ons.

While it certainly has its rewards, the fact that it requires an Iridescent add-on to work just shows how weak her base kit power is

For those that don’t know, the ‘Ring Drawing’ add-on makes it so survivors spread ‘condemned’ to each other, while the Iri add-on makes it so you turn back on the last 4 TV’s after hitting a survivor, allowing you to further condemn them, and the play style generally involves slugging survivors so they spread their condemned stacks when they’re picked up

While certainly a viable play style I can’t help feel that it just draws attention to how weak Sadako’s base kit power is, if you want to reliably condemn survivors you pretty much HAVE to run these add-ons and commit to this play style

I get Sadako’s power is meant to act as more of a passive slowdown and not consistently secure kills, similar to Pig’s reverse bear traps. But right now if you’re not running these add-ons and going against survivors who aren’t completely new to the game, you will NEVER get a condemned kill

At least with Pig, if you leave your trap on for too long then there’s a big risk of you not getting it off in time and dying. With Sadako you can pretty much just ignore Condemn all game and then just insert your tape mid chase to undo everything she’s done prior

Sadako alone needs a buff to her power, after Dredge she got kicked down a lot of tiers and her power just needs tweaking so it's actually threatening.

In my general opinion, I feel like this Hunk set needs more love, although he may have that new walk animation and those gas mask SFXs, having it sound like Legion with a gas mask and still having the chase music just makes the Hunk set feel like another cosplay set. I think the only thing that justifies it is the addons, because it changes the music as you equip them. I think that might be the only issue. Overall, I just kind of wish that there was more done with this character, something that would make him stand out from regular Legion. If anything, I would be fine with just voice lines. I think for the chase music, most people want the music you get when you play the Mercenaries Mode in RE2. I think, until they can find a way to implement the addons, I'm good with the regular chase music, otherwise they might have to make their own music for Hunk where these addons are valid. I think if they just make their own version of the Mercenary Mode music, and add some popular lines for Hunk, I think it would be a perfect fit for this skin.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1BCK4ZIE0D93/image.png

There are also people that wanted Hunk as a Survivor, in which I also kind of wanted him as one, but then after seeing him as Legion, I thought it kind of made sense as H.U.N.K., standing for "Human Unit Never Killed", was nicknamed "The Reaper" working with for Umbrella. I think the only logical reason for the lore behind this is like when Trapper and Spirit were manipulated by the Entity, I think it could've been something like that. I think the Entity could be capable of mind controlling a killer with somewhat "anti-villain" motives, like retrieving a deadly virus and killing anyone that gets in his way, and then turning that killer into its servant that is forced into killing survivors for its own pleasure. In a way, it makes sense to me.

However, I think the only way that this can be justified, is if BHVR gives David a Hunk Skin, if not, maybe Vector, unless people would wanna see him as a Legion skin too. I think a Hunk skin for David would give the people that wanted him as a survivor a bit justice, you don't even have to give it voice lines, just add the RE menu music and we're golden. They did some cosplay outfits for Feng Min and Felix, so I don't see much of an issue with it.

I thought they'd atleast start giving out special Mori's for the price they charge, oh but mobile does! PC team can't be bothered but the price tags stay the same for a "Ultimate/Legendary" skin 0/10

It's not just Solo Queue, there's clear groups who also just play like ass or toxic and then dc if it doesn't go their way, and then complain. Survivors still have a lot at their disposal to battle against going solo, if it's that much of an issue why not just bring a key with Left Behind? Or Mikeala's Perk let's you find hatch for a long time, or a map (which also help you find gens! without a perk!). Overall though, it affects groups just as much as solo. You know how many 4th survivors just die or do the same thing? The only point to prove is Survivor gameplay needs work

I get many players don't enjoy the Tombstone addons that Michael Myers has. They let Myers insta kill you if he catches you at the right place and right time however, I feel a lot of players are kinda overreacting to these addons thinking they're one of the more broken addons in the game.

I would say they're not that bad sure if he catches you in the open and you got nothing around you well you're pretty much dead. However, how often do you see a tombstone Myers in your games? Cause in my experience playing the game I've seen 2 or 3 tombstone Myers in the last few months of playing Survivor and they don't usually get any kills or just 1 kill with it.

These addons take a fairly long time to get unless your team is completely oblivious of Myers presence watching from a distance and at that point that's your teams fault for not paying attention to where he is and just giving him the stalk. You're also able to loop him still if he's got tombstone and if you can't reach the next loop before he catches you then jump in a locker if you got one nearby.

Now what if he has infinite Tombstone? Well majority of the time Myers doesn't get it until there's 1 gen left and at that point the last gen is usually done so he'd at best get 1 kill or maybe none.

He needs to be able to kill out of lockers, it takes almost complete stalk from all 4 to get it activated right

Nope. That kind of change will throw everyone into disarray. Tombstone Myers is a relic of the past that amazingly has not been dismantled yet.

I do think it should stay in game, but it should not be changed at all

Nope. Not in a million years.

Really? lmfao "disarray" what sir? The really toxic move of preventing someone from using a gained power due to old feature exploits.

Yall prob do it and laugh in vc pls

I used to hate Dead Hard, don't get me wrong. I hated how it gave distance and made loops impossible. Thanks to its recent change though, that issue is no more. After using it in a few games (thematically, Carlos can tank more than 2 hits 100%), I gotta say, now it's woefully unfair on Survivors, but not because of the perk itself, but rather server desync.

In order to effectively use it, you either have to rush a Killer and use it in hopes they don't know you have it, use it in a state you know the Killer can't bait it out (Wesker dash, Billy Chainsaw, Bubba Chainsaw, etc.), or use it properly by timing it, and praying to the Server Gods that desync doesn't hit you and the game actually realizes you used it.

I can't count how many times on both my hands and feet I've used Dead Hard, knowing I hit it before I went down, and it never worked. I feel, personally, its smaller nerf needs to be reverted and it should grant a full one second of Endurance, so it's more fair overall. It can still be easily baited, and it gives more of a chance for others to use it.

Still won't fix Auto Dead-Hard scripts though. :(

No it does not need it's full second back, thats what got tested in PTB and how we got here sir. It already was 1 second and was not fixing the problem, if it was second again it would also make Ashley's Perk worthless (MoM)

Too many killers are just eating the Endurance and the DS stun because there is no real punishment for doing so. 3 seconds isn't enough to make killers respect it. It makes for terrible gameplay and ruins the game all together. I am mainly a killer player and I find this to be boring to do and unfun for myself as well. I think DS deactivating at endgame is fair enough. It is legit open season on the scummy gameplay with how easy it is to tunnel with this change.

And 5 seconds was too long and too huge of a benefit for survivors, that's why it did get changed to 5 again and then changed again back to 3. We've already seen what it does at 5 seconds before the big change recently
