Yeah it's really burned me out of DbD the last couple of days. I have kept playing on the hopes that it would be fixed but obviously its not going to be anytime soon. My friend group and I are probably just going to take a break until they decide to fix the very long list of bugs happening right now.

OK I take it back. He is not fine.
That is really interesting. Looks like the jank hit happens when the hitbox extends past the terrain and then something funky going on when then server tries to parse the validation from the survivor client. This would probably happen to injured survivors as their hitbox appears more behind the player due to how the injured lean forward. I'm probably totally wrong here, just guessing.
-
I don't know, survivor seems pretty strong at the moment. I only play solo queue btw

don’t know what bhvr could really do. Fog whisperer is not like a legally protected title or something.
has an up to date list of streamers in the program if you ever want to cross check.
btw,I guess that its ok to use a company to grow your platform then. Seems reasonable. Gain metrics from impersonating ambassadors for a company.

Dont take Drowzii seriously. All of their content is bait.
Ill provide an example, since Drowzii has an art to creating bait:
https://twitter.com/DrowziiDBD/status/1780206207237545990
- 4 Eyrie of Crows offerings; 1 MacMillan offering; is playing on Azarov's, which means they have to be in a custom match with the map selected since that is the only way it is possible. A clue that can be really easy to miss for those not paying attention but is obvious once you see it.
- Also he doesnt even try to move, they just DC after being hit, which means they were just intentionally trying to get hit there so they could DC.
- For The People + Buckle Up is ran to make people upset since it's a really strong and controversial combo and adds a layer of "entitlement" to it. Also slapped on Windows of Opporunity and does not look behind them to also just slap on a bit more controversy intentionally.
- Yelling "he is cheating" mixed with awful audio balancing. <3 Just perfect, I really do love that the most.
Drowzii is like the Sluzzy of DBD Twitter. The bait they post is really thought out.
So theyre impersonating a fog whisperer? Wild that BHVR are ok with that.
-
Yeah its wild, theres someone on twitter pretending to be a fog whisperer at the moment as well. Using DBD to grow their platform. Seems like they dont mind. Wild to me.
-
OCE. Small pool, Basically the same as our Brazilian friend here. Once you've got 2k hours you're in the same pool of 300ish people. Everyone knows eachother. Twitter drama is insane. 99% of solo queue games are someone getting run out at 5 gens. Killers just leave chase to return to hook. Its pretty boring. I went from 120ish hours a fortnight to maybe 10ish.
:(

If your save is lost, then I believe there is nothing that can be done. Although I am not sure how the save file could be lost. It's not like it is deleted after not playing for X amount of time. Have you checked if anything in particular is missing? It could be that it's only a few minutes of your last session that weren't saved because you exited the game to quickly or whatever.
What on earth are you talking about lmao.
>Error 130 signifies that there is currently a large load on our servers due to many people trying to launch Dead by Daylight at once.
>If you are encountering Error 130 we ask that you please wait 15 to 30 minutes and try to launch Dead by Daylight again.

I use the end game GG algorithm to determine whos won.
Survivors say GG, killer says nothing. Survivors won. Killer says GG, survs say nothing. Killer won. At least two survivors and killer say GG, it was a draw. One survivor, Killer says GG. Survivor got hatch.
-
Ive got around 4000 hours and im currently on a break. This is the 3rd proper break I've had from the game now and everytime I go back, the game is fun again for another 1000 hours until the sadge kicks in. If you're not having fun, you're using your free time to do something you dont like. Might as well go to the gym or go outside or something else gross at that rate.

I was thinking Jimmy. Dude looks like a Jimmy.

That's Haemorrhage, not Mangled.
Haemorrhage would actually make sense to be on this roadmap, but for some reason they're looking at Mangled instead.
Yeah true, seems like an interesting choice.
-
Like the reason mangled was introduced with the heal fall off was because with COH and a green medkit you could self heal in chase in about 8 seconds. You cant do that anymore so it doesn't need to be as strong anymore.

Yeah but that was probably the only thing that he was good at. Now he doesn't really have anything.
I mean just cause he sucks now doesnt mean you have to revert it back to broken cheese strats. You can make him better without him being frustrating to play against.

Not to dismiss your feedback, just to provide context: This space is reserved for the event widget whenever there's an event or modifier active, so adding an extra button there is out of the question.
Just a small bit of feedback on the current in lobby text. Names over 15 characters currently cover the person next to them and its so large on killer the text all bleeds into itself. Not sure if its my settings or something, just gives me "trying to send a text on grandpas phone" vibes.
-
I dare say it will be about their new lights out mode. Whatever that is going to be.
-
Yeah and to add on top, Chase points need to be worth double what they are now. If you're in chase for 5 gens, get downed endgame and get camped to death, you're going to depip. Thats pretty wild lol
-
You need to stand still in skull merchants drones while the thing is scanning you to not get a pip of whatever the thing is called.
You can autoaim blight into most pallets by crouching into the very corner of the high side of a dropped pallet.
You can "crouch tech" billy and demo by being on a lower level of elevation and crouching into their power.
You can reliably loop victor on medium sized trees just by running around them. The collision is a bit funky and makes him miss most times.
The timing for a pallet save is PICK..GRUNT(this is when you hear the survivor being put on someone's shoulder)..SLAM
You can just jump into a locker into trickers main event.
You can use chests and gens as well as lockers to stop yourself being tombstoned.
Nurse cannot blink through edgemap walls. Use those corners to your advantage.

Missing with the tiny hitbox on top of the long cd, survivors being able to take your power away and hits going straight through survivors without registering simply feels unrewarding.
Alien was the biggest license for me and it just looks like the xeno is going the same path as Freddy on release.
hahahahhaha

@Nazzzak said:
They also nerfed the Glass Bead add on for survivors to prevent spamming, which was only done for a laugh in matches. I dunno what informs their decision making.
its more about stuff they can fix right now vs stuff that will take a really really long time to fix i.e blights collision.
-
Lowest on PC for performance reasons. I grew up with terrible graphics and running things at the bare minimum simply because of what was available back then. Playing games with shadows and all those other fancy things just looks weird to me.
-
Yeah legit, They've genuinely knocked it out of the park with not only the animations but the design, the voicelines.
Well done BHVR. I was really bummed and burned out and this has just reignited my passion for the game again.

@PotatoPotahto said:
Looping is not an intended feature, so you can't complain about it being inconvenient.
oooo this is a spicy take.
-
@crogers271 said:
That's a full four minutes. Even if every other survivor ran over, saw the slugged survivor being camped, and then ran back to their gens, they'd easily get gens finished in time.
You'd be facing a really easy 3e as killer, potentially even worse given the prevalence of buckle up allowing survivors to pick up the survivor at the end.
Thats not the point. In what world did anyone sign up for 4 minutes on the ground? I came to play a game, not afk while someone stands over me.

Just be lazy and make it a weaker Dredge Nightfall idk
That's actually a decent idea, somewhat. I like the idea of removing auras but honestly, after a few thousand hours it doesnt really do much. If instead of making survivors blind it highlighted the auras of survivors and made the map darker ala nightfall that could be an interesting way to go about it.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Blindness itself is just a massive middle finger to solo players and needs an entire rework.
I mean I'm all for blindness itself, Having a counter for windows is a necessary thing at the moment. Which I assume its mostly being used for. Its just frustrating losing someone because they're there but they're not there.
You're right though. I present the blindness rework:
-
@Tsulan said:
I don´t see the issue. You get a huge bubble when someone is hooked. Takes just a couple of seconds of attention to pinpoint where the hook is.
The issue is it only hurts solo queue players. You play with your friends you can call out where you are, ergo negating the entire effect. If you go for an unhook and get chased or have to turn around its fairly easy to lose someone knowing they're only in THAT general direction before they go second stage.
-
ahahahah this is almost as good as the armchair software engineers on here giving opinions on code and engines when they have 0 idea what they're talking about. You're a Karen in the making there sunshine.
Imagine having a law firm and getting a phone call from a 16 year old trying to start a class action against a company for nerfing something they own and in the terms you agreed to saying you do not own the property in any way and it can be removed or changed at anytime.
-
Its really not, Its probably one of the most wholesome communities out there. The forums are a wasteland but 99% of my end game chats are people just saying gg or laughing about the game. Granted I go out of my way to give people bug facts and stuff to lighten the mood a lot but even playing anon I still just get super nice people. There's a lot of experience bias around here as people don't usually visit a forum to say nice things about something.
-
survivor bad me angy >:(
-
I have 3k hours and constantly get teeny weeny baby survivors I'm talking like ~20 hours and I cant kill them cause theyre so cute so I give them massive chases and gas them up in end game chat. Its a vicious cycle.

I object! I play Bloons TD and feel the Xeno should be in Bloons! Objection!
The defence concedes the point
-
here here! If I wanted my skill expression to be about where I placed a turret I'd played Bloons TD
-
Yeah I haven't lost a game on this yet. I'm not counting but im around 50ish games without all the gens being done. Running the healing addon with mothers comb with hex: ftd, brutal, thana, nowhere to hide you just teleport to the closest turned off tv, smack someone and move on. Eventually you just snowball past the point they can move tapes around and do gens at the same time. It's pretty silly. The TP CD needs to be higher imo.

understanding where to place them and how to use them once placed is certainly skill expression.
Then I wouldve loaded up Bloons TD instead of dying before sunrise

You literally have skill expression with how you place turrets.
Yeah I cant tell you how skilful I feel carrying a turret around
-
@Marc_go_solo said:
Didn't know it was not for all currently!
I like the change. Prestige really doesn't accurately show the skill of the player. P100s I've faced have often been worse than people at a far lower Prestige. It's not accurately indicative of somebody's skill. It's fun to see in the endgame screen, but that's where it should stay.
All that happens with emblems being visible on the lobby screen is allow people to act snobbish, form false impressions and come up with excuses.
Thats cause good players play anon mode with low prestige default characters. They want you to chase them.
-
These new killers they keep bringing out are removing survivor skill expression and its super boring to play against. The game feels clinical and mechanical with the outcome decided in the first minute of the match. From Knight forward its just been downhill to be honest. Just make killers with movement abilities that have windows to dodge and be done with it. Making everything too complicated is not making anything better.
-
I think you're very right. BHVR need to figure out between them that ambiguity is not a mechanic, but lazy design.
-
Since 5.0.1. Someone important at BHVR loves blight.

Anyone else miss Sluzzy? I do.

you can? can't imagine that gonna last long.
Yeah you can A D spam and ur hitbox moves fast enough that the survivor cant get to the other side of you before you turn.
-
Ive found something else interesting. Xenomorph can block the basement stairs by turning side to side in crawling mode.
-
@radiantHero23 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/389535/running-the-xenomorph
I played a good amount so far. From what I've seen survivors do is bait out the tail at pallets similarly to pyramid and the drop the pallet when the xenomorph is in Cooldown. Otherwise I can't say....
Crawler mode is very strong, therefore the turrets are even a thing.
I've been trying that, The hitbox indicator is a janky to say the least. I'm sure itll get easier with muscle memory though.

@JudithMorel said:

thats silly.... whats the point of them then
Well to be fair, they'd never have their power up if that was the case. turrets would become like, survivors with trappers power.
-
@JudithMorel said:
turrets are actually horrible from my experience. they shoot flames on the alien but dont ever take them out of runner mode.
Its a progressive thing. you need to have multiple out. Seems like two have been getting them out of runner mode.
-
Alright so after a couple more games it seems like windows with corners into the entry are your friend. Think azerovs mid map.
-
@Ayodam said:
Well, you can’t really place the turrets on RPD and in most of the hallways you can’t avoid its tail attack.
Off to a great start.
