I tried sadako condempt kill with friends on PTB.

Condempt kill doesn't affect generator (don't block and doesn't give repair speed to surviviors) if you never hooked the player.

Got it. If I want to play Sadako, just never hook a survivor until I kill them with Stare, or as Emeal suggested, slug Condemned survivors until you're ready to kill them. Huh, that sounds familiar, I wonder if they've ever done something where you can slug survivors until you Condemn them. I bet that would be popular.

  • @Emeal said:

Sadako's power isnt to Mori Survivors, Sadako's mori is a failure of the Survivor to manage condemned stacks.

If Sadako's Mori didnt could that it would be super easy to tunnel Survivors out as Sadako.
How else would she be balanced, then and not become tunnelers no #1 pick, I ask you?

If survivors fail to manage Condemned stacks, then why are we penalized for using that aspect of our power, and yes, her mori is part of her power. Her entire gimmick is tied to her lore, 7 days until death unless you remove the curse, 7 stacks and you can die unless you remove the curse. If she's so easy to tunnel survivors out as you say, why isn't she tunneler's #1 pick right now? Since in the live game killing someone with Inexorable Stare after they've been hooked does not block generators, she should be even more effective at tunneling, by your statement.

I'm stuck at 47/48 even though I've completed 59 quests. I hope this gets fixed in time

  • Are you also angry that someone with No Mither can use Deliverance, because Deliverance causes broken, but someone with No Mither is already broken so they can't become double broken?

  • You have to make sure to get hit by the pallet. It's not just activating the power, but enduring a stun while the power is active that puts a point in. I had this issue and it took several matches to count all of them but it's really picky about the timing

  • The blue and purple basically look identical with colorblindness. It really feels like a gut punch when they do things like this for no reason. They could have very easily asked some people to look at the colors and seen this coming before putting in the effort to change everything

how would some of his most uselees addons transform him from one of the worst killers in the game into a decent one?

Franks Mix Tape is far from useless. It's actually extremely good at making the use of Feral Frenzy for mobility viable when used in combination with a gen kicking build. Go fast, kick gen, keep going fast.

  • Had a Huntress and Wraith both stand right in front of my hook bodyblocking anyone from unhooking, so I can confirm that not even two killers combined can trigger the hooks to move location.

  • Still bugged as of May 19th, 2025. Tested on Legion and Artist, killer instinct visual still not appearing for survivors in lockers, audio still works.

  • Went against 3 of these in a row. People are absolutely abusing the fact that you can't hear the lulllaby on this skin and stacking it with a few undetectable perks. Huntress should not be a killer who you have no way of telling if she's close until she's right on you. Stealth and range should not stack.

Hey, thank you for responding, for number 3 I thought it be would a good accessibility option for people with bad hands/arthritis, as holding down buttons for a long period of time makes my fingers sore. Example: you tap the run button once, then you can run without needing to hold down the run button, tap it again and you go back to walking. This is for survivors of course.

It's precisely this, an accessibility feature that would improve the quality of life experience for gamers for whom a press vs hold option could benefit. You can say that it would alter balance, but that doesn't change that it would improve the quality of life and gameplay experience for some players with grip issues.

Wow BhVR didnt fix that? That makes any killer witha power that does a non damaging hit practically unplayable.

From what I've read, it looks like the only two non-damaging special attacks that trigger protection hits are Cennobite's possessed chain hits and the Artist's dire crow swarm hits, but I'll test the details of that in a few hours.

Unless they changed it recently, it's been only triggering on m1 attacks.

    duty of care.jpg

It should only be triggering on protection hits on healthy survivors. The perk has stipulations to balance it. Unfortunately, it looks like it is currently bugged and that bug report is currently under review (hopefully patched with the May 15th hotfix), but it is absolutely incorrect to say that the perk was designed only to work with M1's and M1 killers. It is designed to work on all protection hits and is currently functioning incorrectly, not as it is designed.

  • @RpTheHotrod said:

I stopped playing killer because I focus on underdogs like m1 killers because as a previous survivor main, i wanted to provide more killer variety in matches instead of people just getting s tier killers all the time. Every patch, BHVR makes them less and less viable and more and more frustrating. This patch, they literally gave survivors an AoE team sprint burst that is specifically designed to only trigger against m1 hits (not m2). This means it's designed to only work on the weakest killers making them even weaker while not affecting stronger killers. BHVR blatantly despises m1 killers and continues to make them worst and worst consistently in everything they do.

Duty of Care procs on protection hits, not just M1's. Special attacks will trigger protection hits.

  • Not a bug. Nurse has been able to do this for 8 years. It's actually something some people will do to scare survivors, so when they open the gate, SURPRISE, it's Nurse!

  • You gain 5 rift fragments for every 500xp. It doesn't show the physical movement animation anymore, but people have noted that you basically get 5 rift fragments for every trial completed, so in theory, even if you completed every daily, weekly, and milestone during a rift window, you would still be able to earn more fragments. It's there for people who will overcap because they play for a living or something. Also, people aren't taking into account that there will be a 2v8 event and the anniversary event during this rift, which means there will be special quests for those events that we aren't taking into account when we think of everything that would be needed to hit level 100 in the Rift. This is all entirely possible, and also there are people who will buy a rift on day 1 just so they can play with all of the stuff right away. Those people will very obviously keep overcapping through the 2.5 months of the Rift being open.

  • Half of the rift quests in tomes are locked behind one of the sides, and even crazier, many of them were locked behind killers or survivors you would have to purchase just to do that specific challenge. This is nothing new. At least the new quest system can be done as a killer or survivor of your choice and not being forced to "get x number of teleport downs with Singularity" or "Escape twice as Jane Romero" to get significant rift progress.

  • I'm like 90% sure this is tied to the changes to the 8.7.0 patch note:

    • ADDON: Yamori's mask no longer reveal Survivors hiding in lockers.

I think a line of code was mixed up somewhere and that made it affect all instances of killer instinct instead of just when that add-on is equipped. That might help this get fixed faster.

  • C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs

Obviously replace "your username" with whatever username you have your files under, and it will be the file named DeadByDaylight.log

  • You didn't post what the bug does/what the problem is. You only said that using the Doctor's M2 before someone vaults gives them an unfair advantage against survivors.

  • The new colors for the items, add-ons, offerings, and perks is worse not only because it screws up everyone with muscle memory based on the previous colors, but also because they chose the perfect shade of blue to mess up people with protonopia and none of the "colorblind options" are capable of fixing the fact that the blue and purple look basically identical. It's infuriating that they went from picking colors that weren't exactly ideal for one group of people with color vision deficiencies to deciding to change their colors and going with colors that just hurt another group with color vision deficiency. It is absolutely possible to pick colors, hues, and saturations that are easily distinguished by people in all groups. The alternative is give us the option to pick our own colors or let us have the option to revert changes to whatever set effects us the least as some form of damage mitigation.

  • This isn't a bug. There was never a clause stating that it can't be used to kill everyone. The item description does not state that it cannot be used to kill everyone. When they updated his power and add-ons, this was done so that he had two ways to get Evil Incarnate since Judith's Tombstone add-on was nerfed so heavily.

A lot of people are seeing a significant increase in toxic playstyles (e.g. tunneling, camping, and slugging for 4k) since the time the finisher mori was introduced. And the finisher mori incentivises this behavior by rewarding a 4k with a mori, regardless of the tactics that are being used to get it.

My matches have become stressful lately because I've experienced a significant increase in hard tunneling in my matches recently and I even now expect most killers to run straight to unhooks. It's also not uncommon now for me to see killers intentionally tunnel to get an advantage.

I've even seen some killers repeatedly hit the third survivor on hook because they have the slug nearby and want to get their free mori after they slugged for the 4k. Repeatedly hitting on hook like that is even considered bannable harassment by BHVR.

We can say these behaviors may not be impacted by the finisher mori, but there definitely appears to be a correlation between an increase in the rate of these behaviors and the release of that update.

Can you link me to where the devs have said that repeatedly hitting people on hook is a bannable offense? I've run across several killers who thought that speeds up the hook timer and I think it would be weird to ban them.

  • Hopefully they can fix the rest of them so that the correct Legion member is linked to the correct skin.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

I guess it's because Frank is the base Legion model and they forget to change it.

It's not just limited to Susie, they've turned Joey white like 2 times at least already.

What costumes did they do this with Joey?! That's wild. Also still doesn't explain the Julie with a wig thing. Seems like a bit of a mess. Probably why they keep having issues with the wrong voices being on skins

  • I had the exact same issue the other day, two matches in a row.

    381210_20240926221835_1.png
  • I came to the forums to see if anyone else was having this problem. Lo and behold, more people, just like me, have bought the costumes previously and just want the bundle for the Christmas charms and NOPE, they won't take my money…err…auric cells!

  • I'm glad someone pointed this out. Every Susie skin except for this one uses Susie's voice with any choice of mask. It seemed out of place that this one only used her voice if you used not just a Susie mask, but the mask specific to this costume. I actually just tested and if I put the Backstabber mask on a Frank or Joey body, it makes Susie's voice. Very odd choice to link the vfx to the mask instead of the body like usual.

  • You now have to have the Stranger Things characters prestige 1 to unlock their perks in the bloodweb. They are no longer general perks. This is not a bug.

  • The original voice was just the generic text-to-voice you see in every TikTok these days. It was boring.

  • There is no reason to demanifest besides to teleport now, considering you can't use it to mindgame, there's no bloodlust and no window blocking. You don't move faster or anything, you still have a lullaby, and people are encouraged to drop every pallet on the map because you can't be stunned and have to be manifested to actually chase, but you have to break pallets or they have infinites. There's literally no point to demanifestation anymore.

  • Peanits quote:

"Something else that we need to consider are the players who already enjoy these Killers the way they are." "While they might not be the strongest in high end matches, there is still a large crowd who enjoy them as is. That raises the question, is it worth reworking a Killer that many people already love to play just to make the people who don't play them happy?"

BHVR 's response is obviously: "Yes"

  • I would love to see more blighted skins for survivors!

  • We believe in you BHVR! You can do the right thing!

  • I saw they released an old Rift costume. I hope they keep it up and I hope your post gets noticed. You put a lot of work into it.

I mentioned your strawman and specifically addressed it, and again you come at me with "put all of our focus on punishing people for not doing the right thing". That's crazy. Let me say this again then: Does that need to be the only measure ever taken? Of course not, and I suspect that was your strawman. But ultimately, if someone did something wrong, they should be punished for it regardless.

Hopefully you read it this time and you don't tell me something like "put all of our focus on punishing people". That would be crazy.

Also, studies you don't source can say anything, but can you point me to 5 countries in this world where there is no punishment whatsoever for crimes? I'm hard pressed to find one. Again we go back to my point. Obviously there are other measures to be taken other than *only* punishment. But punishment for people who do wrong things is not to be abolished. Why would you even want that? Let's not start patting people on the back for murdering their neighbors. Punishment needs to stay.

I was going to apologize for phrasing my post in a way that came off as a strawman. However, you just compared disconnecting from a match of Dead by Daylight to someone murdering their neighbor and I honestly can't take that seriously. Like. My dude. Holy crap that's hilarious. Thank you for the laugh, I needed it, and that was far crazier than anything I could have told you.

  • I just want to own all of the Legion cosmetics one day. It's a struggle. Graffiti hoodie, boot knife, and pirate outfit. I mean, year 4 crowns would be great too, but just the others would be fine.

  • I've got several killers and survivors over P11. I think I've learned how the bloodweb works. Please don't make me go through this slog every time you release a new chapter.

It makes sense that RE legendaries are for Jill and Leon only, since those two are the RE characters most people own. Therefore more potential profits.

I would argue a very large amount of people own Ada and Rebecca considering they are part of the licensed bundle that contains Wesker, the most popular and most purchased killer in ages.

  • I loved the idea that DS has a number of tokens equal to the number of uncompleted gens on the map. So at the start of the game, you have 7 tokens. For every token you have, if you use DS, the stun lasts that many seconds. So if you are getting tunneled before a single gen has been done, then yes, you deserve to be able to use a 7 second stun to get out of there and gain some distance. When there's only one gen remaining to be done, a 3 second stun is more fair. Once the final gen is done, there are no incomplete gens on the map so your tokens become zero and you can't use DS since the gates are powered.

I don't know if you live in an alternative universe but modern society and most counties' (if not all?) law systems use "negative reinforcement". People go to jail. Sometimes they get executed, even. People who do wrong things should always be punished in some way or another. Does that need to be the only measure ever taken? Of course not, and I suspect that was your strawman. But ultimately, if someone did something wrong, they should be punished for it regardless. If they don't like the punishment, then they should have been better. If you don't like the game, don't commit to it by clicking the play button.

Also, for future reference, this is not a negative reinforcement case. This is a punishment case. These are not quite the same and represent different things.

Studies pretty consistently show that the punishment thing isn't what fixes the problem. Recidivism rates are high in places that put more emphasis on punishment than on rehabilitation. If we're not doing something to incentivize doing the right thing and instead put all of our focus on punishing people for not doing the right thing, then yes, DC'ers gonna DC, and they'll keep doing it until they have less incentive to do so. This is a case where positive reinforcement can help, believe it or not. Hell, how about bonus BP if you finish a match with a bot in it that increases for every bot in the match. That way you're incentivized to stick around in case someone else DC's, and at the very worst, a killer will have 3 bots and at least 1 human since that person knows they're gonna get 3x the BP just for putting up with the BS.

  • Make Sherry a Legendary for Rebecca. Give that girl more cosmetic options. Sherry in her winter outfit is an amazing look, one of the best in the series. As for a Carla Radames cosmetic for Ada, that might just make me have to level Ada up because that costume is FIRE!

  • I entirely support giving Trapper 5 perk slots and keeping it exclusive to him as the poster boy of DbD. I also think it should be his P12 reward so new players don't start out dependent on it and dedicated players will be rewarded for playing/leveling him.

It also doesn't cure cancer either.

How is it a negative exactly?

Because it is better to have to deal with a 3v1 every time someone doesn't want to be in a match than to have something to slightly mitigate damages and possibly make those matches playable. If it doesn't fix 100% of the problems in the game, there's no reason to attempt to even fix 10% of the problems. Instead it's best to just not do anything at all and keep complaining and make sure nothing ever gets changed.
