I think part of it is that if a character is exclusively released alone, A.K.A. Leatherface, Ghost-Face, Ash, etc. then the entire thing is considered a "paragraph" and not a chapter, so for those they probably don't want to put "chapter" after their name. If you look on the sale pages for those characters, you'll see what I mean. The rest of it is likely just typo stuff that could be fixed.

I haven't seen anything stating that tome challenges and achievements are invalidated/turned off if someone is replaced by a bot. So in that case, I'm actually fine if a killer disconnected and was replaced with a bot. I might very well have an improved chance to get said challenge/achievement playing against a bot if I'm being completely realistic.
Also I'm not entirely sure the reporting system is all that great for solving the suicide on hook situation considering the amount of people who report for absolutely nothing. I've gotten unsportsmanlike reports for playing as Doctor, for finding hatch when the team died, for using perks people didn't like, for being bad at looping and being tunneled by the killer, etc. The number of valid reports they receive is probably a drop in the bucket compared to the countless pointless reports they get, and the main thing they seem to be focusing on right now is cheaters, not players who don't play the way you like.
-
Bots *are* meant to be a replacement. Bots are designed to solve the problem of an imbalanced number of players. If you keep making throwing the game more attractive than disconnecting and giving the victims at least the most basic chance of surviving a match, you're saying you would rather the living surviving players have no chance of surviving and escaping to make sure the killer has a better time.
-
I'm not the guy DCing. I'm the guy getting screwed. And frankly, people are going to leave whether I like it or not. So I would rather they DC and I get a bot that could do gens or at least function as a distraction than someone who just throws the game. I don't "learn a lesson", I just get punished for existing in a match. That's what I'm trying to say. I'm trying to be realistic and recognize that at least one way I get punished less for people leaving.
-
If they can't tell the difference between a DC on purpose and an accidental DC, I doubt they can tell the difference between a bad player and someone purposefully playing bad to throw the game. Also, punishing new survivors for trying to unhook is just kind of mean. Or as someone said, throwing the game so the last survivor can get hatch, which I would argue is an altruistic action that shouldn't be penalized.

Well if the problem is people dodging the penalty, then remove the possibility to dodge it.
The bots are not for the ragequitter, but for the people he leaves behind. Their existence has NOTHING to do with the penalty a ragequitter should receive. If they prefer to dodge the penalty and deny their team their replacement bot, it just shows that the ragequitter doesnt care for the team.
The issue is, if someone is going to leave a match, they're going to leave it. I don't care who the ragequitter is, I don't care how they feel about the team, I care about the result. I would rather have some semblance of chance of surviving a match instead of being forced into a 3v1 every time because the incentive is entirely on dying on hook ASAP right now. I think people are so focused on being mad at people with people who DC that they blind themselves to the end result. You want people to keep being forced into 3v1 situations so they can be salty at those who die early rather than give us a chance to survive using the new bots. I don't care about the person who leaves, I care about how it affects me. There are two things that affect me, a DC and an early hook death. That person is a jerk either way, but at least if they just opt to DC, my team has a chance to get something done and not immediately be snowballed. If hook throwing keeps being incentivized, I'm still stuck playing the same game I am, so what's the point of adding bots? What you're suggesting is like punishing the whole class for one bad student. If you keep that up, they're just gonna keep throwing the game on hook. I know that you don't like bots, but at the end of the day, they were made to help survivors. If we keep things as they are, nothing will change and I can't get any support when someone decides to bail.

It doesn't start at 15. Earlier I got a DC penalty (I won't get into why) for the very first time and it was only a minute. It unironically penalized my ability for matchmaking less time than it takes to get into a lobby once you start searching.
I think he was suggesting that it start at 15. Also, the first penalty starts at 5 minutes. Very likely what happened was you spent some time on the results page or went to the bloodweb for a brief bit and by the time you were able to look at the penalty timer it had dropped to a minute. The penalty consistently starts at a 5 minute lock-out.
-
The DC timers are actually longer than you think. Looking it up, it's 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours 12 hours, 24 hours, 72 hours, ban. DC a total of 10 times within 3 days and you have to start a new account. I know people with spotty internet who play the game maybe once a month to make sure they never reach or exceed the 72 hour penalty and ban. Like I said, I understand wanting to penalize people who DC, however, we already know the result of having the DC penalty which is simply to work around it and force people to have a 3v1 which could at least somewhat be mitigated with the bot replacements. I think people would prefer a 4v1 with a bot helper than a 3v1 with no solution. At least, I would.

This is actually a bug related to the pants. The straps are part of the pants instead of the top. If you exclusively wear the top you'll see you're missing the straps, and if you wear the pants exclusively, you'll see the straps regardless of your chosen top. It's not like that in the item icon so I think it will be fixed eventually.
-
I have a buddy who runs self-care and bite the bullet as a combo almost every game. He doesn't even care about the healing part, it's just a good way to be completely silent when you absolutely need to hide your noise from the killer.
-
They could maybe do a very expensive item conversion where you have to trade in like 10, 12, 15, 20 items to get a single item of yellow, green, purple, or iridescent in their place. Sure, people can abuse it as they move through the bloodweb but you're gonna pretty quickly run out of fodder for item exchanges. People who have been playing for a long time already have a ton of each item, so it's not like the change would stop them from having a ton of specific items anyways. If it becomes a problem, they can always just adjust the numbers so people have to start spending 50+ items just to get one they like in its place, or they could weight certain items to cost more or less than the base conversion amounts based on usage or strength.

I was down to my last tombstone when I finally got mine. Thankfully the last person standing in this particular group knew what I was doing and while still giving a good game, didn’t immediately run for hatch or a locker the second I downed the penultimate survivor.
I actually only got mine because of a kind survivor as well. The Nea saw me kill the first survivor after taking ages to get into Tier 3 and ran to me and told me to follow her and she pointed out the other survivors and then sacrificed herself. In endgame, she said "I still don't even have that achievement bro, I'm just glad someone can get it."
-
The icon for the top shows the straps attached to it and the pants icon does not so I think it's just a graphical glitch. Not intended by the devs, they'll fix it no doubt.
-
Currently one of the threads about it is actively under review by the dev team.

I'm 50/50 on the kill switch thing because more and more killers are turning out to have this animation lock every day and I'm scared we'll lose the whole roster eventually if they don't fix this fast enough. I honestly don't care if they delay the anniversary a whole week, we want to be able to play our favorite killers. I want my fellow players to be able to play as and against Wesker again, he's fun as hell. I want to be able to play Legion and not feel bad about it because I can't guarantee who I'm playing against won't have this bug. Heck, I don't even like playing as or against Blight, but I still want people to be able to use the characters they love to play. As weird as it sounds, since this likely won't be fixed for two patches, just let us use all the killers and I can cope with invisible Wesker for a week or so.
I know this is a trash/unpopular opinion, but eh, it's faster than waiting for things to actually get fixed and it means we can get cakes on our main killers.
[Super radical solution, developers officially down patch the game and things function pretty well for the most part without resolution bugs and constant server conflicts during the anniversary, and we just can't use Gabriel and Hux.]
-
No endurance counts if you're in deep wound so that would be the issue. He hit you right off of hook putting you in deep wound which turned off your endurance so you could be downed. Only exception, as others said, is Mettle of Man. This isn't a bug.
-
I want them to fix this desync stuff ASAP because I want to be able to get the anniversary cakes on Legion and actually be able to play them during the anniversary without feeling like a horrible person.
-
I guess I just don't understand this kind of thinking. For example, I got a specific FFXIV hairstyle from winning an art contest, and if they made it available to everyone else tomorrow, it wouldn't make mine any less valuable because I have a story and experience that went along with mine that no one can take away. At the end of the day it's a digital cosmetic, and it's not like this is a zero sum game where there are only so many that can be had. There are hackers who have every item out there instantly and it doesn't mean less of us legitimate players have those items. I've got most of the 5th year anniversary crowns and if other people got them I'd be happy that more of us could be goofy together with floaty halos over out heads.
-
They said during the Reddit AMA that they're releasing a Killer FOV slider late this year or early next year. I'm sure they've got their own plans on how it will work and will change it on the fly if necessary.

I am a Legion main and I have all but three outfits (90 pieces of gear). I will test this in custom and see if it's just related to the costume or what. I can already say without a doubt it does not happen with the Head over Heels Susie skin and the Never Stop Slashing Frank outfit
Update: I'm nearly positive it's lag dependent. I've tried with 6 different outfits, no perks, no add-ons, and I've tried every combination from cancelling frenzy manually, running out of time, hitting a person twice who I've already hit, and on both of our sides it's normal and the audio is normal. The thing with the Wesker bug was it was super easy to reproduce (Hold power, move around, the end). Considering I'm on the same wifi connection as my wife, there's no lag and therefore no visual/audio issues. With the video you showed, you can clearly see Julie lock into animation during the time her frenzy is deactivating, which means it's a server lag issue.
-
Considering almost everyone has mentioned hitting Alt + Tab or something along the lines, I'm wondering if there's a conflict between the new Steam update and the patch. I'm pretty sure at some point I checked my achievements around the time this started happening.

Same thing happened to me, was playing survivor on Coal Tower. Then suddenly mid-game the resolution changed and took up a quarter of my screen and after reopening the game had serious lags fixed only by switching to the lowest settings. Rebooting the pc and updating graphic drivers didn't help.
I have to run at the lowest setting with auto adjust because anything higher tanks my FPS, and although my rig isn't the best in the world (GTX 1080 Ti, Ryzen 7 2700X , 32gb RAM, running on solid state drive), it was more than enough to run this game at ultra settings before this patch no problem.

Misread.

I turned off fullscreen and used Alt + Enter to make the screen borderless fullscreen and haven't had issues since so I wonder if it might be related to the fullscreen setting, or perhaps an interaction between the patch and the new Steam update?
-
My wife and I are both having this issue, with the resolution randomly changing mid-match for no reason. We're on controller so it's not like we're hitting some kind of weird keyboard combination or anything. It also happened when we weren't even pressing anything, just standing still. What the heck is going on with this?!
Update, my game just dropped to 1 fps in main lobby and then crashed. Here's the error message:

It's a good start. We need more than Legion's 2 sweaters.
-
I agree with this. I've got every single killer at P3+ and most survivors at P0 Lvl 40 because that's what unlocked teachables previously. I can't be arsed to level all of them up because it's just a bunch of wasted time for what are essentially skins, especially if I only use like two or three of them. I don't need to learn anything about how the Bloodweb works, I should be able to quickly spend BP on new characters to score perks for everyone.
-
It's also on Event cosmetics. Here's some pics of my Spirit.
-
The things I want for Sadako are:
- The lack of hitbox while demanifested should extend to pallets, so she can walk through them. She can still be stunned, but if a pallet is down already, she should be able to walk through it while demanifested. She still has to take the time to remanifest before she can hit the survivors, so it's not Nurse levels of powerful, but it gives a little bit of pressure.
- If someone is fully condemned, THEY NEED TO BE EXPOSED. There is nothing more upsetting than fully condemning someone, chasing them to their TV, and know that there's nothing you can do to prevent them from getting rid of it because if you hit them, unless you've got 7+ stacks of Play with your Food, they have time to put their tape in before you can hit them again and down them. For the amount of time and effort it takes to fully condemn someone, the least they can do is make it possible for us to mori them. Hell, it could even be something along the lines of "a fully condemned player is exposed when carrying a tape" or "within ___ meters of a TV".
- Reduce the cooldown timer of TV's, especially if you are turning them off yourself. I can understand long cooldown if the survivors go out of their way to turn them off and hinder your abilities, but being able to teleport more often would be a huge boost to mobility.
-
That would require 4 gens to be completed. At the point where everyone has completed 100% of a gen and taken the time to stop in-between the 50% repair to hop in a locker and build a flashbang then getting back on the gen to finish the last 50%, you've failed so much as a killer you might as well enjoy the meme of 8 flashbangs. I can't be the only person who finds flashbangs hilarious as both killer and survivor.
-
Automatic suicide so I don't get DC penalty. I've got sensory issues that make the screaming of Nightfall unbearable to manage so I have to turn off sound because it's so loud. I've got colorblindness issues which when combined with the darkness make an already dark and hard to play game basically impossible. Ormond is maybe the only map it's tolerable on. Playing the game without sound or image isn't scary, it's that thing where you handed your little brother an unplugged controller so he felt like he was playing too. Except the controller is plugged in, you just can't use it.
-
The color of the earrings and lipstick change. That's it.

My wife also has issues with hypervigilance. The way that she gets around the jumpscare with Onryo is turning her around. Before Onryo does the jumpscare, her model turns around and faces the player and there's an audio cue warning, so you can just away for a moment. Another thing you can do is click Customize, click one of her charms to pull up the hook, then click her bloodweb and it respawns her crawling out of the web, which resets the jumpscare timer. It only happens like once every minute and a half or so. It was reduced in frequency seriously since the PTB. If this particular jumpscare has prevented you from playing the game for months, then you probably didn't know that the interval timing was changed and reduced drastically. The Onryo jumpscare is far more predictable than a random human player running Myers or Ghostface. I also hope that with time and therapy your problems improve, mental health is important and I recognize the struggle is real.
Also, it only does the jumpscare outside of matchmaking while in a screen where she is visible. When you hit Ready, you can go to Customize, click on a charm, and just see the hook while waiting. The moment you get put into a lobby with people, there's no chance of jumpscare.
-
Honestly I think all he needs is a small speed nerf. Being a 4.6 killer who can teleport map-wide unlimitedly is pretty wild. Onryo is 4.6 but after using a teleport, she can't use that same teleport spot for 100 seconds unless she has certain add-ons. Dredge can move back and forth over and over again with no penalty and has full speed for a killer. Even something like 4.4, like Hag has would be a bit of an equalizer. I think that's kind of part of what makes him viewed as "Onryo, but better".

More thoughts, show auras of dull totems when a survivor is downed or hooked maybe?
