I've had survivors DC in the middle (or after) the kill animation... like thanks but what about you?
-
It is a shame
The system is to general for any real feedback

Whats the current state of the game? Do you enjoy playing? Are you tired of playing? Do you think they need to change anything? Tell me what you think and leave some suggestions for what they could do. And please, no toxicity, we want nice and civil conversations.
The current state of the game: Few enjoyable matches, Plenty of toxicity everywhere (even me)
My enjoyment: It's mixed... some enjoyment then some that are not fun others that are just down right awful (for one side or the other)
Am I tired of playing: yes, at times the grind and mechanics in the game make me feel worse for playing
Changes: Base mechanics- EGC starting when the gates are powered
Make skillchecks 10% smaller
Generic perks changes would be to keep focusing on perks that aren't used a lot.... They'll hit the sweet spot eventually (like the Open Handed change they had planned but didn't include)

Discordance t1 used to be the best
Surveillance 1
8 seconds v 12 seconds
-
Her kill rate is inflated caused by survivors DC'ing, The Pig player Camping boxes, Forcing head pops
She does need an addon pass
-
Yes and no
Balancing for all skill levels... with all of the variables is difficult
Maps- Perks- Addons- Items- Offerings- Killer Powers
You can't possibly balance an asymmetrical game without something being too strong or too weak
Don't blame "bad players" for bad balancing... especially if the game itself doesn't have ways to help (casual and competitive modes, better tutorials, More KYF options, Better MM, Clearer explanations of "winning" and "losing", And yes Better coding on a newer engine
-
There're too many variables to take into consideration to make a change on DS
Actual Tunneling
Survivor Farming
And DS Baiting
So adding conditions to DS might break the perk... even taking away 15 seconds from it might make it terrible
-
They gave us those stats because it's too general to actually get anything useful from
Now if they could give us more stats we can (as a community) come up with our own theories
Stats like and can be applied to all skill levels:
Average number of hooks per killer (might tell us how the killer is being played)
Average chase times per killer (Might tell us how players use their power and mindgames with a side of survivor looping skill)
Average Gen completion per killer (Might tell us Map/Gen pressure of the killer and how the survivor play the objectives)
Perk usage (Might tell us the overall strategy for killers and survivors) -and how killers and survivors adapt to the counterparts strategy)

I know, the game really is best suited for casual gameplay, but to watch the most talented people face off is fun in every way!
we all want to watch the best play.... in all sports and esports
Football, Basketball
Overwatch, COD, CS:GO, R6 Siege
X Games, Racing, MMA
-
Agreed that it all depends on the time they make it
-
If we had more tools to work with... like
Map pools or have programed seed variants
Killer pools or killer removal (Like using a killer once per round or series)
Perk pools or perk removal
These might make the tournaments more entertaining (Maybe)
-
Tell us how long you last... I can't partake (No alcohol)... Either (@) me or quote this
Either by passing out or throwing in the towel:
1-5: R20
6-10: R16
11-15: R12
16-20: R8
21-25: R4
26+: R1
-
Ruin...
Enough said
-
Let them focus on what they can
They can't seem to multi-task
-
Better Together and TOT cause the same aura to show
Red Herring makes the aura to change for you not everyone else
Yea go to the gen is best... but be careful
If you're still not sure use Bond and you'll know which is which
-
Toxicity is hard because it's the player... not the game
Having EGC start when the gates are powered is the best way to deal with the survivors who teabag at the gates for "too long"
And to those who have complaints just look at some perks that can be used after the gates are powered:
NOED, Remember me, Rancor
Adrenaline, Hope, Wake up
And now look at perks that can be used after the gates are opened:
Blood Warden
No One Left Behind
-
There's always going to be posts on NOED
Like other perks (or any other game mechanic)
It's nothing new and nothing interesting about them
-
All of them
Those are the first words I say before I start moving
-is it (insert killer/build/playstyle)-

Same here. Pessimism is key. You're either correct or pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
So true
Actually that's how I stay sane (Killer main- Survivor minimalist)
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
The problem is too many killers think they're gods gift to DBD and because they 4kd a lot against beginner/mid ranks that means they should be able to every game. There's a lot of boosted players on both sides.
Being a good killer doesn't suddenly mean every survivor is skill-less.
I am actually the opposite... I think I suck going into a match and either get proven right or wrong
-
I would like Match History and Replay systems
I would like to see the last screen for the last 10 matches I've played (10 as Killer and 10 as Survivor)
Then watch the replay to see what happened away from my perspective
-
I had my only match today against a GF on Midwich
He got a 2K but stopped after seeing me... we teabagged a bit and then the other survivor and I finished the gen and left all together
-
All MM is right now is just trying to get 5 players with low ping together for a match
But even that isn't even an accurate statement.... So MM is not even a thing
-
That's part of the problem we all have with matchmaking right now... There isn't one
-
Never got the achievement for reaching rank 1... even though I got to rank 1
Focusing on what happens during the match and less on what happens after
That's how I play the game now
-
Dead by Daylight: Pig On Ironworks of Misery... funny ending
It's on my YT channel
Game ended with me hooking a survivor and having another ones head pop at the same time and close to each other
-
If you believe that crutch perks... it's more personal then general
My crutch is Whispers... I feel like I can't find survivors without it
-

Can you elaborate on that? Why would they be inflated by excluding games with DCs?
The games with DC's are INCLUDED as kills thus inflating the kill rates
-
It makes the game more enjoyable
Things that would bother me before don't
-
@brokedownpalace said:
I'm almost certain they've said the kill rate data they show us does not include DCs. I'm not sure why everyone is acting like it's fact that DCs are included.
You're right they don't... which is why kill rates are inflated
In my opinion

They once said, that according to their data, hook suicides didn´t increas a lot.
So i think its save to assume that they can see who suicided on the hook and who didn´t.
Oh... cool That would be nice to have a visual on (cause I would like to see everything they have)
lol😁
-
@MrPenguin , I don't know if could track Hook Suicides... but if they can then hell yea I want to know
Then the other stats they haven't shown are also what I want to know
I could list them all but that might take awhile... if you know what I mean

They did really good with his lore.
I hope that when Vigo is brought into the picture again that they put this much effort into them.
Thanks for point that out
And yea I hope they put that much effort into Vigo
I got a feeling He might be coming (not going to say soon... cause that's what the devs will do)

Any kills in a match with an early leavers should be exempt and/or separated into a different stat block. If 1 teammate DC's/suicides early and the 3 others stay, even if the Killer (Freddy in this example) got the other 3 on his own, they were overwhelmingly likely to die now anyway since 1 of their teammates left early.
I was thinking something like that...
-
@sulaiman said:
You are aware that the devs can use those stats because they are able to filter and corrolate them to other data they might not want to give you, right?
I was just going to bring that up
You beat me to it... go you
-
New Pig players should learn how her power is a soft counter to DS
I mean... That's how I use them (seeing how RNG affects it and all)
-
@Zozzy said:

Most of them will be survivors killing themselves on the hook and standing still so they move onto the next game quicker.
While others happen when the survivor finds out who the killer is... and just DC's

You have a point and also, do the kill rates also include the dc's. The people who disconnected technically did not live, which means they died in a sense in the match.
Yes... they're included... Honestly they should be separate for context
Take Freddie for example... has %75.69 kill rate but what % are DC's and not kills that Freddie got himself?
That's what I want to know more of (cause again... I'm being selfish)
-
I would agree with having a high skill cap is better
A killer that is hard to master shows player improvements with that killer... and survivors adapting to the killer

So, I want to bring something up.
Let's see the chart:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/VV799GPBPFZF/image.png
So, there is chart where they said Legion is a solid mid-tier. But they also said that Nurse and Blight were misleading due to their required skill, which is totally fine. However, that means that for the sake of this chart, you remove those two Killers. Now, Legion is technically lower on the chart. This idea that he is mid tier is being masked by the fact that they have two killers on that chart that push some of the other low tier Killers up. The same thing could be said about Pyramid Head, as he was still fairly new at the time. My point being, even using their own chart, Legion is NOT the middle of the road Killer they claim if they go by their own sentiments concerning the lowest two and newer Killers.
Those top 5 killers: Freddie, Doc, Pig, Bubba, Spirit... are the killers that people DC against the most
They only shared pick rate and kill rate
They need to share:
DC rates (and adjust the kill rates)
Perk usage... just like the top 10-20 (not all of them cause that would be insane)
I would like more but that's just me wanting all of the information (selfish I am)
-

Fun post time!
Survivors, what killers would you like to see more often that you don't see that often? Killers, what's a killer that you would want to learn but haven't yet for any reason?
I wish more people would play Pig and Plague. I love the Saw franchise and even with her bugs, I really love the idea of Plague and playing against her.
I main Pig
I want to play more Blight, Deathslinger
I want to learn Nurse, Twins

Yea

It's a hard pill to swallow
like i saw 3 or more posts on Ruin/Undying

The decision is simple: you check the stats of millions of players: freddy kills too many players? OP, nerf needed....maybe try to be better at the game, why not.
Also, if this is the process, buff the nurse since she was worst in the list according to the stats 😁
Those stats don't show DC's
And my comment was based on in game decisions not decisions the devs have to make
-
@Shirokinukatsukami said:
The game is "killer-sided" because kill rates are through the roof. Last update we had from BHVR on gameplay stats killrate was something like 70%.
We haven't had a new update recently I think the last one was sometime in April or something last year. Kill rate was 70% across the board.
Killers like to complain that the game is survivor-sided, but that's only true when a not-so-good killer goes up against a full team of SWF commandoes. That's more a skill issue and a flaw of SWF than the game being survivor-sided. There are many killer pro streamers out there who play killer day in and day out at Rank 1 against the sweatiest SWF survivors and still 4K them easy.
The game is not survivor-sided. Killers who are being beaten are just going up against better players. That's all it is. Same with survivors for the most part.
The thing is, going by the global statistics more killers are better at the game than survivors. Whether that means killer players are just more skilled than survivor players or whether the game is distinctly skewed in the killer's favor is a matter for discussion, there are compelling arguments for why a typical killer main would be more skilled than a typical survivor main -- mainly that the killer does 4x the work of a survivor every game. That's 4x more practice. While a survivor might be getting into 2 chases per match and then holding M1 the rest of it, the killer is actively chasing and tracking survivors the entire match.
But we can discuss that another time.
Those kill rates don't count for DC's
Now those would be good to know
-
Take it one step further and say 60 seconds past puts survivors into Deep Wounds (even though it's a bad mechanic)
but it makes sense to me
-
Wait... Are you asking about players playtime on killer/ survivor?
me: 60/40
Or is it something else?
-
The last killer to have good perks overall
-
This game has become a game that is based on split second decisions and that either you are right or wrong
It also suffers from the lack of clear intent (Casual vs. Competitive) (Memeing vs. Tryharding)
Players do want to have a visual of how good they are (Competitive/Ranked)... and they want to have fun and enjoy the time they put in (Casual/Unranked)

I had also forgotten to mention, every time I leave a survivor dying with Calm Spirit it makes me laugh that he doesn't scream, how crazy.
It's the small things
