Second wind could potentially be considered now
Many people have overlooked this little announcement. While many people have gone woohoo ruin/undying dead.... Only the small 1% Steve fans have gone woohoo second wind buff but here's thr thing second wind could potentially become one hell of a perk if you have ot active why well... Lets say second wind now takes 25 seconds to heal you after your unhooked.
Well lets say that at 8 seconds in chase you have been hit luckily you had bt on so your in deepwounds now but you dont need to lose the killer why "second wind deactivates when you are put in the dying state"
Note that line Because your not in the dying state thanks to bt your still gonna get that heal so long as you know don't die. So in 17 seconds (if you can last that long) you should theoritacally be out of deepwounds so your still be injured hut if you have dh well yeah the chase could go on a bit longer.
However if your not so good looper but can lose the killer easy. If you are put into deepwounds lets say 8 seconds after unhook you don't have to worry why in 17 seconds srcind wind eill still heal you before deepwounds would kill you so you can actually just sit on a gen with deepwounds and not die cuz second wind.
Sure the first scenario always existed but 30 seconds meant that it wasn't all that common 25 makes it a bit common now.
But the second scenario is new due to as deepwounds will be a flat 20 if you are but into bt state it does not matter how long it takes you to shake the killer you dont have to worry about mending as second wind will do that all you have to do to ensure it does that, is survive 6 seconds of the killer chasing you so unless your names meg Thomas you should be fine.
Also remember second wind isn't dependent on bt if the the killer is waiting it out if you have dh or are good at looping second wind will heal you in 25 anyway so as long as you do that you should be fine.
Course i know theres gonna people who will be like "but you still have to heal and you need to be good to use it" but shoudnt that be a good thing this perk is rewarding you for playing as a team, can allow you to surrvive potential tunneling, yet still allow a killer to down you if he waits 15 seconds, if your team fs up and hes good at geting downs.
Tldr: if bhvr decreases the time reasonably this will be a perk to consider now

I don't think 2nd Wind issue was the the healing time, but the activation condition. It's an ok buff, but not the buff that makes it palatable.
Agreed that it all depends on the time they make it
This. I am usually working on a generator while I let second wind heal me and even if the killer chases me I can buy myself enough time to heal. But the annoying part is healing a survivor. Removing the condition would make it OP but I wish the condition is a little bit more easier to achieve.
Agreed. It is like the Deliverance dilemma to me. You have to do a certain action before being hooked and you will be rewarded for it, but there is always a chance you basically won't even have a chance to do it. Deliverance is worth the risk because of it amazing ability but Second Wind both has an as unlikely requirement and for a much weaker effect.
Nailed it.
Second wind is equivalent to a Yellow medkit + Bandage IF you get the activation requirement before being hooked AND the killer doesn't tunnel. If there was a way to get more perk activations, it could be good or maybe too good. IMHO, change it to a self borrowed time upon being unhooked and make it mutually exclusive with DS.
the perk is wasted if your affected with deep wounds as you would have to really be bad to get downed by it even if the timer was reduced to 10 seconds simply because the only time the timer should go down is when you use a pallet.
Other than that yeah shorting the timer is a good buff but the problem has always been getting it to activate by healing others since you have to go out of your way to do so when you could have been focusing on a gen. For that reason other perks like inner strength are simply better and more reliable.
Second Wind sucks and I can't believe people use it. It's nice that it encourages people to heal others, but Boy, Is It A Bad Perk. I like the other guy's idea that it could be more like a self BT after an unhook. Now, that would be a really worthwhile perk to take in solo queue. Imagine being able to control for crappy farming teammates!
Uh, a heal effect triggering during a deep wound status is a "win scenario" for the killer in the bigger picture.
Deep Wound is nothing else but a time waster to force survivors through a few seconds of mending.
I would feel robbed if it triggered on my deep wound, thus I don't find it positive.
I couldn't care less if I had deep wound timer or just be injured while killer chases me. There is 0 threat from mending to begin with.
