Same here... Or I get stuck in the prematch lobby... I can't back out can't switch my character can't even start looking for a match
"well The Entity doesn't want me to play... so I won't"
-
A one hook mode
No killer power mode (but all killers move at 4.6 m/s)
OHHHH... How about a timed trail:
Like a 1v1 where the killer has the catch the survivor before time expires (or something like that)
All gens mode... All gens on the map need to be done before the gates are powered

Pig is one of the few killers like Leatherface that can just choose to guarantee 1 kill whenever they want, by tunneling the person with a head trap. I don't think that makes her A though.
Ruin nerf was a give and take. I liked the slowdown of the original but I detested those red skill checks. The new one is almost more annoying because you let gens at 50% go back to 0 and lose the whole game.
And then Spirit, she's not as hard to play as Nurse. You just need Stridor and some headphones.
Those are my unpopular opinions though...
Yes a bad Pig player will chose to do that... the better ones don't (I did that once cause I saw the survivor with an active trap on repairing a gen... so I thought I'd teach him to get the trap off first)
Bad survivors needed something to get good at to get high ranks (looping isn't it)
Just because you have a headset doesn't mean you're a good Spirit player... You still need to learn her power, how each addon affects it and how survivors chose to play around her existing
-
I think the only thing I'd change on her is the Breathing bug... But make an addon the Prayer Beads effect be that you can't hear her while she's phasing.... IDK if that would enough though
Yea survivors want to be able to know everything the killer does or doesn't do... just look at the perks that show killer's aura
They also want the killers to be predictable Spirit isn't so...
Also I noticed that the really Entitled Survivors want all killers to be like Legion or Pig (cause no one complains about those two... unless you play those two or go against one that "breaks the rules")
Stridor was used cause of all the audio bugs the game has. Now it's complained about cause "WAAAA Killer heard me when I was crouching next to them and I died"
Also I noticed how some survivor players act like it's COD and need their Escapes/ Death ratio to be as high as it can go... to prove their "good at the game"
-
Pig is A tier killer
Ruin nerf wasn't needed
Spirit is hard to learn... She's more like nurse
-
To me toxicity in-game is:
Players that call you names and phrases to get you to say anything in end game chat or messages on console
everything else is trying to get you (as killer) to chase them till all gens are done or bad sportsmanship overall
And the same for killers: Facecamping (not proxy) refusing to pick up survivors when all 4 are slugged and hardcore tunneling (finding a survivor and killing that one before going onto the next)
Toxicity on the forums:
The community is so focused on what they don't like that they forget (or chose not to acknowledge) the other side exists (or have complaints of their own)
Survivor only players want killers weak (cause that's fun /s)
Killer only players want survivor perks weak (cause that's fun /s)
Players that play both sides (doesn't matter if it's 50/50 or 90/10) want things to be fair for the games sake
-
I play:
T1) Pig, Huntress, Hag, Spirit,
T2) Doctor, Wraith, Legion, Deathslinger
T3) Nurse, Ghostface, Clown,
T0) The rest... lol
Also the Clown is free on Gamepass @DWolfAlpha

Why wouldn't a token system work?
Maybe I should've said that I personally don't like the token system
But having limited uses might be an issue
-
A re-work would be better then a straight nerf... But A token system wouldn't work
My take on it would be longer exhaustion the more you use it... ( same for the other exhaustion perks though)
-
1) Slightly survivor sided
2) Killer: Hovering around the Green ranks... have made it to rank 1 before
Survivor: Yellow ranks
3) 855+ hours
4) I'm close to getting all perks on The Pig and Feng Min... yea for the most part on killers I play (survivor not so much)
5) About 60/40 at this point

Almost every game killers are tunneling. It’s bs. There’s other survivors near and you tunnel me? It’s cheap. Play better don’t be a cheap killer.
It seems to be the strategy for killers now a days
Tunnel one survivor out the game asap... then snowball it from there
also with how fast gens CAN be done the killers that lack mobility/ map pressure can't do much... unless the player knows what they are doing
Also, we killer players sometimes don't see the survivor wanting to get the quick save (and some killer players try our hardest to play as fair as possible... but when enough survivor players brag about "winning" it can get difficult to continue to do so)

They base things off their statistics supposedly. Based off the killrates they shared 5 months ago. Freddie is probably getting a hit. Other killers I'm not so sure about. The problem is the data they showed doesn't quite show the full story.
That's why they showed us... They gave us barebones stats and washed their hands of it
Freddie doesn't move slower when putting his traps down and they take like a second or two to put (up or down)
That Spirit bug where you could hear her in phase probably was the best solution they had (go figure it was a bug)
NOED should be an instant pop up (Hey, you allowed NOED to activate... have fun) when the last gen is done and a totem counter... like people mentioned before
-
Trust me I'm not popping Champaign till they release whatever it is
-
Survivor: Feng Min- the only survivor I have almost every perk on (and have a build I'm comfortable with)
Killer: Pig- The only killer I honestly feel good with (but might have to re-learn her if/when I can play again)
-
I've had a mix of TTV's
some were cool
others were toxic
-
They threw the excuse of... "we want everybody to try the new things out"
My health is not good either (so I haven't played.... And I lost Xbox Ultimate LOL)
I also realized that many players on the PTB don't care for trying out the new things (Just something I saw)
I agree that at this point they should stop doing the PTB and just give us the new things (seems they're already to do it)

is Pig the Pig trapper or reverse trapper?
I gotta vote for Reverse Trapper
-
If they can fix all of her bugs she'll be back to being known as "the best"
To me she's more risk/reward then any other killer in the game
Yea I've had good matches and bad matches with her
Also learning her takes forever and a day... a lot of players don't have that kind of time or patience
-
WOW... so maybe taking a break was a good thing I did
I also play on console (and treated like garbage by other console players)
-
Pig, Hag, Huntress, Spirit- Daily
The others... If I feel like it
Bubba and Freddie... not at all
-
Either I'm first died, last long enough and get camped/ tunneled (not hardcore but enough to say it) or escape
-
Overwatch

This lil Piggy still does love the boops, is aweful using the ambush at loops (can't turn fast enough or clean enough on Xbox), and only t-bags with the survs I have chosen to spare.
As far as that end chat thingy goes, welp........... console.
I do the same thing... I do tend to hit more ambush attacks (Though I don't know why)
And on Xbox as well
-
Over what kind of time period?
It could be a good idea... also would it be separate Mode or would it be incorporated into what we have now?

was it a rogue spear?
What do you mean?
-
I have one as killer and one as survivor
The killer one is on my YT... Dead by Daylight: Pig on Ironworks... Funny ending (rasavage42)
the survivor one was against a Wraith where I 4% off of hook and was able to open the other door and leave with a second to spear on EGC
-
I've seen survivors use SB and DH
-
Cause the nerf either fixed one aspect of it's use or the nerf wasn't big enough to pull other perks up
-not pointing fingers either-
-
I find the same things happen to me... but with a bit more camping and tunneling
but everything comes with experience... and a wiliness to get better
-
That the grind in this game qas only going to get bigger the more I played
-
PIg (Amanda Young): She needs an addon re-work... the ideas are generic so don't feel bad for saying how you'd go about this
Brown addons- Deal with her crouching and ambush (including the roar coming after ambush is fully charged)
Yellow- Video Tape either stays the same or adds on the missed dash attack cooldown and moved to green... the rest change up how her traps work (adding more traps, Status Effects)
Green- Changes up how the boxes work (adding more boxes, removing one but searching takes longer)
Purple- Changes up her base power (like Amanda's secret and Tampered Timer)
Red- Keep Amanda's Letter but replace Rule Set No.2 with something that affects all aspects of her power: Crouching, Ambush, Traps, Boxes
Plus shortening Crouch time in her basekit, DS like Skillchecks (seeing how most players don't struggle with them -some sarcasm involved-)
Bring back trap activation during EGC (just pretend it's another gen being done)
-
Having 2-4 survivors have common perks equipped is hard to deal with effectively
Then add comms to it and it can turn into a nightmare for killer players
plus RNG rules over all with map layouts
-
Kindred... to see how many traps if at all she places near the hook (sometimes I do others I don't)
She's 110 movement speed take advantage
Hag's tend to have a plan... 3 genning, basement, ETC... annoy/ disrupt... if you're good at chases try to stay close to her (I don't those types of survivors when playing Hag)
Also be aware of addons... I tend to use teleport distance/ trap duration with setting time mixed in (sometimes I'll teleport instantly while other times I'll wait a bit... if a trap is set off far away I'll walk toward it to teleport depending on the situation)
-
They could announce what comes with the 5th anniversary and (not likely) future licensed chapters... to get the hype back to the game
I mean that's what I'd be doing in their situation (but I'm not...so)
-
It would also help with feedback
If we knew what they were working on then we can do more before and after comparisons
Also fine tuning would be possible
-
Overtuning DS is a worry of mine as well
But creating a decision for survivor by adding conditions of deactivation (or shortening the activation timer)... like healing or progressing the match in any way would make the give and take of using the perk easier to handle... IMO
-
Walkie-Talkie:
Allows for proxy chat between survivors or announcements
Green, Purple, and Red variants
Addons can change charges, range, ETC...
-
I don't see much happening in the first two years but the third year:
EGC starting when the gates are powered
Re-works to killer and perks
Long shots:
Updated engine and coding
A different UI/ HUD
More options in custom games
Less map seeds
-
Honestly the devs are doing the right thing by buffing the weaker perks first
so when they do get to the META perks we all have other perks to fall back on
Either that or split the way you make your perk build into 4 (with another one for hybrid type builds) type- for both killer and survivor
Chase perks- perks that help in chase
Hook/ Struggle perks- perks that affect killers and survivors when the killer has a survivor on their shoulder
Healing perks- perks that help healing or anti-healing
Gen perks- perks that affect gens... either progression, regression or delay
Hybrid perks- perks that have conditions ( like Poised, Dying Light, Huntress Lullaby, ETC...)
-
I didn't like it
To many questions were based on spending money and not enough on balancing and new features
-
Having EGC start when the gates are powered
Open Handed- the buff they had was good
Hangman's Trick- hooks take 2/3/4 more seconds to sabo and reveals auras of survivors attempting to sabo
Lightweight- Scratch marks appear faded and disappear 1/2/3 seconds faster
Status effects trigger different types of skillchecks until the survivor(s) recovered/healed:
Exhausted- no great skillcheck zone (an indirect buff to Mindbreaker)
Mangled- great skillcheck zone appears randomly (within the skillcheck)
Hemorrhage- Old Ruin effect (gives hemorrhage a massive buff)
Broken- Skillcheck appears "broken" in two ( like [ ] [ ] and no great skillcheck zone)
ETC...
Add two more totems to the map (equal to the number of gens... or make it a killer offering)... would make Hexes a little stronger and actually be a secondary objective for survivors
Daja Vu- auras of the three farthest gens are visible for the duration (like Corrupt for survivors)
-
Let's face it... the devs aren't focused on strong or META perks right now
They seem to be focused on making weaker perks viable so survivors have options
And they nerfed undying cause Entitled survivors don't like things that change their own playstyle + Undying was way too strong against solo's
Also makes you wonder why they didn't add the buff to Open Handed to the PTB
-
Hangman's Trick brought back to making Sabo take longer
Also I would've like to see EGC start when the gates are powered not when the gates are opened as a test for it first
-
There are good survivor perks but not many players use them cause "it's META or nothing"
IMO the META is more selfish then anything... but I do understand why (mostly cause of teammates and killers that haven't played the game long enough)
-
Most of my Pig matches are fun
-
This game has way to many variables to have a solid ranking system
Also people tend to forget prior experience when something bad happens to them.... and they don't think they make mistakes while playing
-
Top 3:
Pig- I'm a SAW fan and she's the killer I played after getting this game... She's my main
Spirit- Backstory brings a tear to my eye, she's strong on her own... One of my backups
Hag- Easy to understand power, best defense IMO... another one of my backups
Worst 3:
Bubba- Don't play
Freddie- Don't play
Huntress- I can't seem to get much right when playing her so....
