  • At this point I agree with OP (given the example)

NOED is a problem... but one with solutions already in place... It's by no means OP

Small Game, Detective's Hunch, Counterforce (that new perk from Jill... that I'll try to get once it shows up on the Shrine... and to a lesser extent Inner Strength

A Map that shows a spot marked to the rest of the team

The sacrifice for using a different perk is map awareness (knowing where totems spawn)

  • If you are at the base level 50 with all perks then no there's no point

But if you are at the base level 50 and don't have all of the perks then maybe

Or if you don't use a certain character then maybe (like I have Plenty of killers that have hit the base level 50 but I don't use them that much so I have been debating on prestiging them for (Bad Word) and giggles... And survivor that are level 40's (except for Felix)... And The Trickster is at level 22 so I do have work to do (lol)

You can't use the bugs of DH against it as a negative anymore, it literally breaks the game for killer on console now. It's basically a free escape when used now.

On the contrary I can... due to players on the ground after using it

And I know it breaks the game on console cause I play on Xbox

Getting healed does NOT disable Decisive Strike. As long as the one with Decisive Strike does not do any action that progresses survivor objectives it does not get disabled, so others can you just fine without disabling it.

    Ok cool

Thank you for the read and comment!

Red ranks are sweaty no matter which side you're playing. I have two friends who just play until they get to the red ranks and then they stop playing until the reset - the frustrations of being casual gamers who often play weird builds or are just being silly and hanging out playing against extremely competitive meta builds is too frustrating for them. I'd recommend that if you ever find yourself feeling upset about red ranks! It's better to keep the love of the game and just take breaks here and there than burn out against people who are trying extremely hard. This goes for either side! 😊

Yea... I did take a break (that's how I got down to rank18 (lol)

But still I do like to see others players opinions on how they see the game... it's more fun for me

And i don't play competitively... I only use Corrupt for slowdown (even though it isn't)... And BBQ to see if any auras show after a hook (cause I don't like camping)... I love Whispers... And the forth perk could be anything that I feel comfortable in using

And for survivor it's Kindred and Spine Chill while the other two are what I feel comfortable using (no exhaustion perks)

Yea... I know that DH causes the game to break (I play on Xbox)... And it is a negative if that happens... But that goes both ways so it is a point to make

  • I got a 4k on Haddonfield as Pig and Huntress

But like you said yes Haddonfield does need to be re-worked

  • I do agree that some perks are stronger then skill...

If the game forced both sides to not run perks (as far as "skill rating" is concerned) then we might see what's what in this game

The thing about NOED is that it's inactive for most of the match... so the Killer is using three perks and get % haste and the ability to insta-down Survivors to which is fair... but what if the tied NOED to how many totems are left when it activates (1-3 % haste, 4-5 insta-downs)

DS isn't as strong as it was before (which is a good thing) due to the many conditions of removal: Healing (getting healed and healing others), Repair, Saving, Totem cleansing... but can someone tell me if it's immediate or does it have wiggle room

Ruin is good (but now that every good survivor hits greats a % of time makes other perks not as good....... Gearhead) if it lasts some time... which is hard due to survivors finding out you are using it right off the bat then go to find it... Which brings in Undying was OP at first but now it's fair

Unbreakable was strong when DS didn't have the conditions it has now... but in a pinch it still is good (but the chances you get full use out of it are smaller now)

Dead Hard is strong (if lag wasn't a thing) cause it's activatable so you get to chose when to use it... but you don't go far

Tinkerer I can understand why... but why add Undetectable to it

But how good can we be without using perks🤔and not by choice... or addons for killer and no items brought into the match for survivor

  • The Pig:

Sloppy- Corrupt- BBQ- Whispers/ Combat straps and Video Tape (or Crate of Gears)

Corrupt to at least get a start, Whispers to help in finding the first survivor

Sloppy for after they get unhooked it'll take more time to heal (and if played right the trap would be active therefore making the survivor chose to be healed before or after getting the Trap off)

BBQ for BP (lol) and aura reading to find the next survivor

I personally don't kick gens all that much so Pop isn't for me... also cause I want the gens to be done for her power to work but I want at least to be able to put a Trap on a survivor first

  • It was a good read OP I'm glad you did it

I play 60/40 Killer/Survivor so I can agree with you opinion to a degree (I don't send toxic messages after the match is over and yes I do get some toxic messages...mostly about camping and tunneling with I try not to do not much from the killer side... oh and yes I do have Cross-play on... I play on Xbox)

And we need to have official definitions on Camping and Tunneling (cause I think that there's a Survivor definition and a Killer definition)

Also right now I'm a rank 19 Survivor and a rank 18 Killer (yes I know that ranks don't mean anything but that's what the game says... and yea I haven't played much but opened DBD at times to check the Shrine and debate if I really wanted to play.. check my builds and see what I could do to change that whole thing up) and I did make it to Rank 1 before the first MMR test... never want to do that again

  • I don't use Pop cause of the time it takes to apply it

I feel like gen kicking should get buffed in some way and that would help DG a lot. As you said the gen only loses 7.50 seconds of progress if they wait out the 30 seconds.

Yea... which is why I'd like to see Brutal Strength get buffed to be 50% speed for kicking/breaking (or just one kick/hit)

plus an increase on base regression

And possibly removing the bug on Overcharge

And if a survivor misses a skillcheck then runs away it should resgress

Just a few QOL changes to try and shake up the "meta"

  • The regression time won't matter as much seeing how it's much slower then progression (.25 charges per second)

so if you do kick a gen and no one touches it you get 7.50 seconds of repair time removed

But if someone does touch it then they are exposed but you need to be in the right place at the right time in order to get any value from DG and the gen doesn't regress anymore

But of course in a three gen situation the survivors are more apt to look for a key rather then spend time trying to fix a gen with DG on it

I had a match a while ago and that's what happened to me (but I was using Surveillance so I knew what gen they were working on) and had messages sent to me laughing that I'd play like that (staying around my three gen rather then chase the survivor away from it)

  • I use Corrupt on every killer that has it... The early match struggles are real without Corrupt

And I don't run Ruin/Undying or even Tinkerer... It's not my playstyle or both totams are gone within the first couple minutes

I was debating on using Huntress Lullaby/Undying but I won't until I can get used to not having Corrupt (one perk VS. two is really hard)

  • Jeez... They all were using flashlights

    That's sad

This really bugs me people say just run ruin undying. I have to take up 2 perk slots just to slow down the game

I didn't say just being those two perks... even though I don't run those perks

But that's not the point I saw making

The base regression is (Bad Word) and needs adjusting...

  • Most of them... I panic and just run without a plan....

  • It should remain a Hex

Base regression is terrible (the time wasted on kicking gens plus the low amount of regression)

  • It's funny how often Ruin gets cleansed within 20-30 seconds of the match starting but other Hex perks are left alone

So to get use out of Ruin killers have brought Undying (just to see it get nerfed)

To get the most out of Ruin is a gamble (hoping it stays in game long enough- and finding survivors on gens)

Also Pop does takes too much time... as does Oppression, Surveillance (to get full use)

If base regression was raised even a little bit that would help and making Brutal 50% (one kick) that would be even better

  • Yea it sucks when that happens but Spawns have something to do with it as well

Slowing gens speeds won't make the problem go away I think that there are in a good spot (not too long and not too short)

While Ruin is good just chase survivors off of the gen and watch it regress at twice the normal speed... kicking a gen takes too long and regression being what it is doesn't do much of anything (which is why Pop is really good cause of instant regression)

If the devs increase the base regression that in of itself will help

And perks like Brutal Strength and Overcharge aren't being used for a reason or another (Overcharge doesn't make anyone scared due to it still being on the screen even when the survivor isn't on the gen and Brutal only speeds up the animation by whatever % and not making it one kick or hit)... while Prove Thyself and Resilience (and not being on a gen that's far away from the killer) and toolboxes are worth the investment

And while both sides have perks to either make it easier or harder to do gens the base progression VS. regression will continue to be a problem

Then we have the "Meta" which for me is Sloppy/Corrupt/BBQ/Whispers on most killers and Kindred/Spine Chill on survivor but it's up to the player what they deem good (it comes down to playstyle not what's the strongest)

  • Not really... I would rather the devs fix the game first but that might only be me at this point

  • I was brought to this game by a friend... but did watch some of the media on some of the licenses (mainly SAW... but didn't watch the Leatherface movies) so I am the middle of all of that

Honestly I didn't care much for ST... but being able to play as Demo was fun (even though I'm not good at Demo)

Also I think DBD would want to get in touch with the other licenses to make sure they don't leave either

  • It is sad... But at least they can't Nerf him as well (I know that isn't as good as keeping him)

  • That's hilarious

I would've let them both go as well

  • Yea getting 2 kills is good... but:

If the 2 kills were one/two hooks each... not really (without me camping)

If the 2 escapes were through hatch... not really (without me camping/ not all gens were done)

If the chases were shorter then usual... not really (without me tunneling)

If the kills were more toward the start... not really (without me tunneling)

  • I missed the blood hunt

I also wass taking a break from the game due to me not knowing what to play (I want to play Trickster... but with the 2 matches I did play I doubt survivors are going to stay and play against me)

  • I think her TR could be 28m

Yea her crouching/uncrouching needs to be sped up plus her crouch move speed can be sped up as well

Why do the devs think that all can be answered just by making changes to addons and not basekit

Oh and before I forget I think having the boxes be activated when a gen is done makes sense as well

  • It comes down to survivors whom want to continue to loop around instead of "trying" to run somewhere else

Yea Spirit doesn't have "counterplay" and if the Devs do give her some sort of "counterplay" then Spirit would be right along side the rest of the killers

But every killer does have their own "power" some of which is just muscle memory (Nurse) others that rely on killers knowing the game (Trapper, Hag, Oni)... I believe that Spirit's is both muscle memory and knowing the game

  • Wait.... Were the gens done or no?

Cause if so then yea it's become a thing

If not then IDK to be honest... Maybe the killer decided that the gens are going to be done...

  • Survivor: Feng Min

Killer: Pig, Spirit, Huntress and Hag

  • Id say:

Huntress- her mother died when she was really young and learning what she could wasn't enough (so what if her mother didn't die)

Deathslinger- He was conned out of making it big (but revenge the way he got it isn't the way to do it)

Plus what others have said about: Wraith, Spirit, Oni, Hag... and anyone else I missed (HAHAHA... Sorry)

  • Solo Q is ok IMO

But I do see odd things from time to time (probably due to my playtime as survivor isn't much)

  • Probably not

Due to the amount of problems this game has

  • Killer: If I get a hook on all 4 survivors

Survivor: If I get 1-3 Gens done (either by myself or with another survivor)

  • Bloodlust needs to stay for the time being

Bloodlust is for extended chases or slower killers

  • As Killer: When the first Gen pops and Corrupt is still active

As Survivor: hearing Wraith's bell or his breathing/ footsteps

    Hearing a Nurse Blink

Seeing another survivor pop a Hag trap

Looking behind me (while working on a Gen) and seeing Micky just standing there (and Ghostface)

    Hearing Oni activate his power

Having a RBT on (cause my luck is bad.... like really bad)

Seeing an inactive Trapper's trap ( I suck so bad when it's the Trapper)

  • Honestly if the person with Prove Thyself didn't get on the Gen the effects would be bigger... Just saying

That's because it's counter productive. Lots of NOT REAL PIGS out there giving her a bad rep.

    Yea... I see that

  • Damn... I don't have that luck in me

Even if I did run TT and CoG the survivors will still have RNG on their side and get the trap off within 2-3 (sometimes 1) boxes

I don't chase a survivor that has a trap on them... so there's that

I seem to be getting errors with pulling pallets down a lot lately. I’ll be standing right next to them in the area where I can push the to pull them down, and it just doesn’t work. I’ve checked afterward when I thought about it and none of the killers were running the perk (Dragon’s Grip I think?) that holds them in place.

I think you mean Blood Favor

Dragon's Grip is a Gen Perk (killer has to kick the Gen to activate it)

  • Not much since I don't play as much as I used to.... LOL

  • Cheating problems aside

There's no real advantage in how you play (IMO)

  • Yea I'm sick of those errors as well... I stopped playing the game due to them always getting in the way of my playtime

  • I would've put it at B tier... but that's hard to do due to the time limit and other perks needed

So C tier... Sad to say it though

  • That's basically adept+

Throw on any base perk on top of the three teachable perks and play (oh and read any lore for that character to get an understanding of them)

  • They do hold off putting the new stuff in the shrine on purpose

We have yet to see any All Kill perks even though it's been over three months since they came out
