You honestly believe that a survivor being able to run the killer for the entire match, with nothing that the killer can do, is comparable to Spirit? You can argue she is too strong, but you can do some things to stop her. There is nothing you can do about an infinite.
Nobody has said that.
You, on the other hand, have tried to twist words to fit your narrative and it doesn't look good for your argument.
Here's the actual definition of nerf,
verb INFORMAL•US
- To cause to be weak or ineffective.
Survivors have received way more nerfs than Killers simply because they started out on a higher level.
Of course, if you still don't believe me, I can compile a list of Killer nerfs vs Survivor nerfs :)

No it's a problem for the game health. If you can't see it then you should Play survivor, just a littel bit.
I play more Survivor than Killer.
DS needs a change, just like Ruin/Undying did.

I will not be turning it back on until they fix Console issues.

Yeah, that's a big oversight on my part. But I'd be satisfied if it had anything to do with cosmic horror in general, if they pulled one of those squid things straight from the Archives and let me play it as a killer I'd be happy. Or maybe even have an Entity cultist that can summon Entity claws like in Endgame Collapse. Or even some disfigured killer from/on the brink of going to The Void. There's a lot of things they have in the lore already, they need only to give them shapes in the game.
Grab Abeloth from Star Wars. She's basically an Eldritch horror.

Ah. Yes.
Short answer, it isn't fair and BHVR is hopefully going to fix it soon.

Seriously what is going on right now, does anybody know what the reason for the heavy Ds and OoO Nerfs (Not "Change") are?
And no a "Killer don't like it" dosen't count. If there is not only ONE good reason for that, then they should go back right now.
I hope they know that the majority of players against the Ds change. Do anyone know what the Devs said about that (the reasons)
@Sluzzy should we leave the game?
Thank you for you opinon @Sluzzy I will copy it here so everyone can see it. Hope it's ok for you.
Sluzzy wrote:
"When I first heard of the news yesterday and read a picture of the perk description, I immediately thought it was a prank because it was clearly written by a killer main. It was written exactly how killer mains want it. I had to go watch a vod of the stream to confirm it was true because I couldn't believe it was being nerfed yet again and in a way that killer mains precisely want it.
It is not about how it was nerfed that is important here, it is why it is nerfed. Decisive Strike was not nerfed because of balance reasons. The devs never said the perk was too strong, they strictly talked about the fun factor for specifically one side. It was nerfed because killers didn't like the perk. Killers demand to be totally in charge of their opponent and always oppressing them. DS doesn't win the game by having it equipped, it made the experience playing that side a little more bearable. It was a "fun" perk to use but at the same time a "required" perk to use because despite the rhetoric from the killer side, tunneling is the most effective way to win the game. I know because I play killer as well. If I want to win, I can tunnel someone out of the match and there is nothing that team can do. If it is a SWF team, they'll do anything to help their buddy and then it throws the match. I've seen it from both sides since the game released.
With deactivation conditions which I've said on this forum numerous times which the devs have chosen to ignore, a killer can stop chase after a survivor has been unhooked and if they find that survivor with nurses calling, THEY ARE TUNNELING. The perk is useless. They can work on the objective and thinking they are safe, the killer can stop chasing and return to THAT SURVIVOR and TUNNEL. The perk is useless again. A ghostface can hide, wait for the unhook, wait for the survivor to heal or touch a gen AND PROCEED TO TUNNEL, the perk is again useless.
This perk was nerfed for the benefit of one side at the cost of the other side for not balance reasons, but strictly FUN reasons. It has been nerfed at least five times.
So to answer your question, if you are a survivor main or play solo or duo, then you should definitely quit. This side has been nerfed constantly and consistently for five years with total disregard to mechanics freely given to killer that can make this side miserable to play. Instead of nerfing DS, more perks should be buffed to even discourage its use to help against unfun mechanics. Why couldn't Discordance be buffed instead of nerfing DS? Keep in mind, Infectious Freight on Nurse, Spirit, Oni, Billy are all still a thing, Infectious Freight has never been nerfed, keep in mind it can be abused to cause the survivor side to be miserable. The devs and killers think this perk is healthy, obviously, for the game. An insidious camper can still camp with NOED. A bubba can camp someone in the basement and there is no possible out, a killer recently BUFFED! The devs think this is healthy, obviously.
For me personally, I can not wait for Back 4 Blood, I've been thinking about that game a lot since it was announced and this nerf has made me even more excited and can't wait. Guess the best part is of B4B? Characters will not constantly be nerfed in that game, it will constantly improve. When you enjoy something in that game, you won't have to worry about something being taken away from you. Especially after you bought it."
Since you've changed your post from the time I originally made my comment, I decided to respond.
Quite frankly, if you are having such a miserable time, leave. This game clearly isn't for you.
To address your actual points though:
Decisive Strike meets all the conditions that got Old Ruin nerfed. Decisive Strike has been a hot topic ever since it was released. DS gives completely free pressure for simply existing.
Here are a short list of problems with current DS
- It can be used to account for bad positioning.
- It can be used to BM opponents.
- It can be paired with other perks to create something uncounterable.
- It gives the Survivor the ability to work on Objectives with zero risk of punishment.
- It allows Survivors to go for unhooks, when they really shouldn't.
- It puts the Killer into a lose-lose whenever someone unhooks.
- It lets Survivors have a get out of jail free card for 60 seconds.
- It is completely unfair in the EGC.
I think you get the picture.

You almost understood what I meant, and by that I mean not at all.
For the first part: it's not my job to hold the killer's hand. If you can't apply pressure and allow the survivor to get 1% of heal now and then, that's on you. The survivor shouldn't be punished because you are playing poorly.
The second part did not imply you use DS to get away. The second part meant this:
1.Chase ends up being near a hooked survivor.
2.You confuse the killer with your movement, get a tiny bit of time while he is figuring out where you are -> unhook survivor.
3.You both run. You do not get away because you used DS, you get away because you outplayed the killer with smart movement.
Then 2 things can happen:
a.With my change: you still have DS.
b.With the original change: you do not have DS anymore.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1918918#Comment_1918918
Read above. It is outplayed and not outperked. With dev's proposed change, I get penalised for outplaying the killer by having my DS removed. With the change I proposed I still have my DS after unhooking and safely running away BECAUSE I CONFUSED THE KILLER, not because of DS.
Again: the second scenario does not imply you use DS to get away. You get away by being smart and then you have your DS removed. I am talking about not having DS after you unhook & run away, the rest of the chase.
If you outplayed the Killer, you don't need your DS anymore. You shouldn't be able to unhook someone, then immediately DS the Killer because you made a stupid play.
If you heal, you are not being tunneled. Simple as that. Don't want your DS to go away? Don't heal.

I think it’s due to his high learning curve. Knowing how to use shred and portals isn’t easy and while I think he is good he isn’t good enough when most people could put a quarter of the time into spirit and do much better
I'm almost positive it's because he does nothing unique.
Nurse is hard to learn but people play her. Same with Huntress and DeathSlinger.
Demo just does nothing unique. Want map traversal? Play Blight, Billy, Oni or Spirit. Want stealth? Play Myers, Ghostface or Wraith. Want range? Play Huntress, Deathslinger or Freddy.
-
Unfortunately, while fixing Demo's add-ons is nice, it isn't going to make more people play him.
According to their most recent stats, Demo is the 2nd least played Killer, barely above Plague.
-
You are factually wrong.
Steam charts show that 2020 was the best year for DBD ever.
Xbox and PlayStation likely have double the amount of PC players at least. Plus Switch and Stadia got added this year.

It is not an actual anti-tunneling Perk, since you can still get tunneled and just slugged or the timer runs out during the Chase. But it is not useless.
You can still hop in a locker with it.
I think we need to wait until the PTB to see if it needs a little buff to go with the nerf. Too many open-ended possibilities.
Does the timer turn off if you get healed while slugged? Does the timer go off when someone else is hooked? ect ect

Not this time, I'm dead serious today
Decisive Strike allowed the Survivors to play offensively and recklessly committing plays that would have killed them, had they not had said perk. The changes remove that ability, but keep the punishment to people who are hard tunneling.
OoO changes come because the perk gave FAR too much info for little risk. it also completely annihilated Trapper and Hag.

The change is fine with the exception of these 2 things:
1. It shouldn't deactivate if you heal. It is possible to bring a very fast medkit or a medkit with a borrowed-time bottle or insta heal. You can be chased, drop a pallet, heal a tiny bit, loop some more, heal a tiny bit etc. This DOES NOT MEAN that you aren't being tunneled and it's a risky play by itself because you trade distance for a tiny bit of heal progress.
Please make it so healing yourself DOES NOT deactivate DS, but healing others do.es I believe this is pretty sensible and anyone who is not biased can agree: healing yourself does not rule out tunneling.
2.Less important, but unhooking someone should not deactivate DS either. It's again possible that the chase happens to go near a hooked survivor and while it may not be ideal, you can pull off some plays like dropping a pallet or confusing the killer by having unpredictable movement around obstacles and give you the tiny bit amount of time you need to unhook the survivor with BT and you both make it out. Deactivating your DS for being smart and outplaying the tunneling killer doesn't sound quite right for an anti tunneling perk(that really wasn't an anti tunneling perk at the beginning but magically turned into one).
The healing part of your change almost makes sense. Except that if you are healing, you aren't really worried. You should not be able to heal yourself, STILL GO DOWN and DS the Killer.
The second part of your change makes no sense. You are using DS in an offensive manner and it puts the Killer into a situation that he cannot possibly win.
If you want DS to be a non-tunneling perk, reduce the stun to 3 seconds and make it so that all Survivors much reach 30% wiggle to use.
If you want it to be an anti-tunneling perk, keep it as it is.

Cheryl is a much better licensed character than Steve, Nancy or Ash. She has double the cosmetics in less than a year and Konami actually allowed DBD to add to her lore and make some DBD exclusive cosmetics instead of having cosmetics exclusively based on the source material.
Felix, Elodie and Zarina all have much more in depth lore than Yui and Jane do. They all actually have a connection to their Killer instead of just being a random person with a random Killer. Also, I like their looks and outfits better but that's mostly personal preference
Steve still a better character.
Netflix just won't let us have shirtless Steve and that makes me angery

Yeah, but lets say the Killer is Rank 9 and facing 2 Rank 1s and 2 Rank 19s. If the Killer goes for the higher-ranked Survivors, this is his own fault, he can capitalize on the Rank 19s. Obviously, this is with current Matchmaking so there is no guarantee that the Rank 19s are "real" Rank 19s, but with MMR it will be harder to go against weaker opponents by "deranking".
And if I look at your example, the Average of 1+1+12+10 is not 12, it is 6, which is a difference, even if if is a small one. Like I said, according to Ranks, this Killer has two strong(er) Survivors and two weak(er) Survivors where he can capitalize on. He might not win a chase against the Rank 1s, but against the Rank 10 and Rank 12 it is completely possible and killing those will make it harder for the Rank 1s as well.
Ah, my mistake bad math.
However, SWF DOES offer advantages over Solo Q and as such, should face higher MMR Killers.
Perhaps I feel too strongly on the subject, since my first ever game was...fun.
3 Rank 1's and a Rank 20 Claudette. Pretty awful experience and I do not wish it on anyone else.

Still never have been toxic messaged after a game by a killer. I could imagine if you tbag or do other behavior during a game.
Killer can't be toxic. And no, Face camping or tunneling is not toxic.
Killer absolutely can be toxic and to say otherwise is to be naïve. Camping isn't toxic but facecamping is.
-
People are always upset when they lose. There was this great Reddit post a while back on r/deadbydaylight and it talked about the psychology of the game.
In a nutshell, the reason people get so upset is because losing in this game is very humiliating because it feels good for the other side to humiliate each other. It's generally worse for Killer because Survivors usually have 3 others to back them up, but Killers have no one.
That being said, there are toxic POS on either side. I'd suggest turning off the chat, but I personally enjoy seeing people get so worked up over nothing. It's kinda funny.

They'd better not.
They promised optimization TWO years ago. Most people can't even afford a new Console right now, considering we are in a pandemic and a lot of people are struggling to even make rent, much less buy a shiny new $500 gaming system.
I am absolutely willing to make this my hill to die on and I will not stop reminding people until we get our promised 60 FPS.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Whats wrong with the average? The Killer will have Survivors who are better than the Killer, but also Survivors where he can capitalize because they are worse.
Because one good Survivor can destroy a mediocre Killer.
Let's take my SWF group for example. My buddy and I are Rank 1 and my two other friends are Rank 12 and Rank 10 respectively. If you use the average system (for Ranks but its just an example) we will probably get a Rank 12-ish Killer. Someone who doesn't really understand how to play against good Survivors yet.
That's going to give that Killer a miserable experience and they have NO choice. If you go into a Red Rank SWF right now, and you are a low rank, you KNOW you are gonna play against really good Killers. With the average system, the Killer doesn't get a choice and that makes the whole experience feel even worse for them.
