I went between a rank 3 and 4, now rank reset has put me at a rank 8 with survivors between rank 10 and rank 16, at rank 3 and 4 I probably won like 60% of my games because the other survivors at that rank knew how to rotate, they knew how to run the killer, they just knew how to play the game, now at rank 8 I've been winning about 30% of my games. I mean these lower ranks are terrible what's even worse is their putting us against between rank 3 and 1, now how in the hell is that even remotely fair
If you are stuck there, then you probably weren't good enough to be in Red Ranks and your team was carrying you.

I disagree. I think it'll be used more offensively. Good survivors will use it to chase the killer instead of the other way around.
Then they get slugged and lose it.
-
My man do be kinda caked tho
-
People will still bring it.
It'll just be used less offensively. Bad Survivors who relied on it as a bailout perk will drop in Rank and Survivors who legitimately got tunneled will see no difference.

Congrats!

The "platform" is superior but that doesn't make the player superior.(Though it helps) It's like racing. If you have 2 equally skilled drivers, the one with the better vehicle will win.
I think the hate of PC vs Console stems from the fact that many developers create really bad ports to one or the other. I know plenty of games that work flawless on one system but barely gets past the start screen on the other. The developer then has to divert more resources to fixing the crappy port rather than improving the game. I've played 2 MMOs heavily in my life and I can say there comes a point where the console starts to hold back the game. When the graphics get updated enough times they can't go any further because the old gen console can't handle it.
True, but that isn't the case with DBD.
Bad optimization holds Consoles back.

No they aren't. DC penalties was created to help tunnelling camping killers out. Killers complained that survivors was DCing and messing up their camping and tunnelling fun. After all... It's all about the killers having fun right?

They are necessary.

If we're going by blumhouse Michael standards, we can suppose it is silently retconned that those shots weren't fatal enough to kill him following his arrest that night.
Makes me wish the Halloween DLC wasn't just based on the '78 movie, so we could have cosmetics from other appearances like Tyler Mane's Michael.
I mean, no matter what timeline you follow, Michael survived 6 gunshots and 2 stab wounds in '78.

i dont think that was the point the poster was trying to make. The point ( i think) was the poster doesn't take what you play into account but rather the argument you make.
That's correct.
Real arguments consider the opposing side. They understand that in order to get what they want, they have to give a little and acknowledge and address the other views points and fears.
I only see people who can reasonably argue their points and those who simply enjoy sowing discord and hate.

Dead Hard is a 50/50. When it works, it gives you an advantage (which is what all perks are for) and when it doesn't you're exhausted on the floor.
Should we also be nerfing lithe and sprint burst if killers lose matches against people who use those perks?
Except, neither of those perks make up for mistakes in the same way that Dead Hard does.
If you find yourself about to go down in a chase, Sprint Burst or Lithe won't do you any good. But Dead Hard will and it can allow you to get to a pallet or a vault, therefore extending the chase massively.
Sprint Burst and Lithe don't have this problem because when they are used, it's usually to try to escape. You cover so much distance so quickly that it deters the Killer from following you. Dead Hard doesn't work that way.
Since the Devs have said that they are fixing it, I am assuming it will work as intended, where it can be used to dodge hits reliably and be used for distance. That needs to go. Make it one or the other, not both.

I don't know why tbh. I know online gaming in general is kinda toxic but never understood why can't people treat others the way they want to be treated.
It's easy to do when the person you are attacking doesn't have a face.
It's easy to do when you are protected by the anonymity of the internet.
I'm ashamed to say that I used to be that way, not too long ago, but I hope I'm doing better now lmao

"No because DH is super OP"
I highly disagree with it being OP you just have to counter it, killer mains b1tch about everything. Cryers.
Tho I HIGHLY doubt it will get nerfed (thankfully)
I have seen you on multiple threads saying the same thing but refusing to offer any evidence.
Can you back up your claim of it not being OP? Dead Hard allows Survivors to completely dodge hits and gains them massive distance for little to no risk.
I can literally send you hundreds of clips of DH being used NOT to dodge hits but to make extra distance, which resulted in the Killer losing the game.
-
Devs have already confirmed they are trying to fix Dead Hard if I recall correctly.
-
There was a bug before this patch that allowed you to mix sets.
So long as you don't mess with your outfits, the bugged sets will stay.

That is a good point.
Thank you both :)
I always try to be understanding and reasonable in my arguments, so it does pain me to see that many do not share the same sentiment.
At the end of the day, we all want the game to be better, we just have different ways of going about it. I like to keep that thought in mind.
-
I choose not to see "Killer mains" or "Survivors mains."
There are only reasonable people and unreasonable people.

@lexihvh said:
What the ######### is wrong with ya'll saying Dead Hard is not balanced, it can only be used once every chase UNLESS the killer is really bad and you can recover from the Exhaustion status while in chase.
Dead Hard doesn't work 85% of the times, it is also used to get great flashlight saves or fix a mistake you've done that could get you on hook.
You just need skill to counter it, wait for Dead Hard lmao learn to play
Again, fixing mistakes comes up.
How many perks can Survivors equip to fix mistakes? Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Decisive off the top of my head.
Fixing one mistake as Survivor can extend a chase by 60 seconds and there is NOTHING the Killer can do about it.
If Dead Hard was only used to dodge hits, I wouldn't mind it at all. As it is though, it isn't a skillful interaction. It's the Survivor player seeing that they messed up and that the Killer deserved a down, but they use their perk to ignore that fact and waste more of the Killer's already limited time.
-
If it didn't have I-frames and it could only be used to dodge a hit, instead of being used for distance, I'd be totally fine with it.
Skillful interaction with counterplay on both sides is always welcome. Unfortunately, DH doesn't work like that currently. It's better used for distance or as a panic button.

Also, it's literally written into the Halloween universe that Michael physically can't die, because John Carpenter signed a contract that prevents him from dying. I'm pretty sure it's still around today, so until John revokes it, Michael isn't allowed to die.
But....what if John dies?

Yes, they are.
If your connection isn't stable enough to play, then you run the risk of acquiring a lot of DC penalty time.
-
Additionally, can we please make it based off of distance and time?
"If a Killer is within X distance of the hook for X seconds, Borrowed Time can be activated."
The only time I see BT used is to make really dumb plays.

Exactly. There was also the shows of strength in H1. He wasn't built like a tank but H1 Mikey was putting his fist through doors, and lifting people clear up into the air with one hand.
Yes, Bob wasn't a small dude and he got lifted up one-handed I think.

The asylum gown is from the beginning of the '78 film. He is tall in this game for the sake of Killers being massive compared to survivors. I personally kind of wish he wasn't so tall to be in line with how he's supposed to look.
True, but regardless, he still physically resembles the Rob Zombie Myers.
Additionally, if I'm not mistaken, Loomis' gun is a .38 caliber that has about half the power of modern .357 magnum's. Mikey took 6 shots to the chest at close range and was pretty much fine.

This is H1 Myers though, so he's not exactly his Jason-esque, tanky version in the old sequels.
Is it though? His other outfit is from H2 and his build is reminiscent of the Rob Zombie movie.

Myers could murk any killer in the game because he's literally immortal. Even Demo would get his ass handed to him.
I dunno about Demo.
Depends on the Realm, but yeah pretty much any other Killer gets blasted by Myers except Oni and Demo

It's not ordered from right to left, just the tiers.
Myers needs to gomup at LEAST one tier.
He takes .44 magnum rounds to the eyes and is fine.

Freddy's probably the strongest, lore-wise. If we are talking just raw physical strength, then maybe Demogorgon?
If you want to exclude lisenced Killers, then probably either Trapper or Billy.
I think it's Myers actually.
He's literally stated to be Evil Incarnate, more a force of nature than a man, plus, the Entity can't control him.
I think Demogorgon also has a good case, but I'd be more interested to know how the Mind Flayer and the Entity interact.

Hitboxes have not changed. Your perception of where the Killer is has.
Assume they are half a second ahead of where they actually are.

The reputation system on Xbox isn't really better. If a SWF decides to report you for no reason (and these "special" SWFs will always find reasons as it let them feels better after "losing"), there's not much you can do about 4x reports. DbD was the only game my rep went negativ at one point. Then they introduced crossplay. Till then i don't have to bother with rep and msgs anymore. The only thing i miss are the GG msgs.
My advice if you really don't want to activate crossplay would be: Don't react to any msg besides a "GG". Trust me, it's always a timewaste.
Or just deactivate msgs if you're not in a good mood or if you're very sensitive in general, it's more healthy.
I haven't had any issues with it.
Most SWF's on Xbox hate me lmao and I imagine that they have tried reporting me before. I just send them Gg :) and that's it.
-
@Boss said:
Didn't Xbox have the procedure that, if you simply got enough reports, you'd automatically be banned?
So y'know, you could be reported many times ONLY by sore losers, and YOU'd be the one facing the consequences.
I've never owned an Xbox, so i don't know a lot about it, but i believe this is/was a thing.
It was on the 360 back during MW2 days.
Now though? Xbox needs to see evidence of wrongdoing AND their appeal system actually works. I appealed when I was falsely banned for cheating and I was gifted some free stuff as compensation.

You get a warning, then you get a 24 hour chat ban.

No. I'm afraid I simply don't have $500+ to spend on a new Console when I should be able to play the game on my One X just fine.
Plus, that doesn't fix the fact that I would need to take dramamine to play her.

Trust me, it's about 100x worse on Console.
Nurse legitimately makes me motion sick AND she sucks to play on 20 FPS.
