Her bugs do suck but they arnt around 100 percent of the time..just remember nobody is calling for omega blink nor does anyone want it..some of us never relied on it to win..some of us just hate how she feels and realise shes a free win to anyone who knows nurse even remotely
Mhm, it used to be fun with her base only. Whenever I ran Omegablink (after a bad day of Spirit since I was learning her back when I used to main Nurse) it felt like a whole new LEVEL of power. Her base though, that felt balanced to me. If I messed up, they'd have extra gen times, it felt right.

I run blood warden every game just in case now.
Nice, I probably ought to run it too when learning killers. I feel like going out of my comfort zone (I usually play killers that are viable at base, fun and strong) and trying out Clown or Demo (Clown because of his recent buff, he seems a little better). Is BW worth it on them?

Scary or just difficult?
Myers can provide a rare jump scare.
DeathSlinger and Hillbilly can be taxing at times.
Interesting, I used to be afraid to death of Myers, but nowadays I'm able to keep a level head.

100% snipetress, the idea of a killer being able to hit you outside her terror radius, much less across the map? it's just insane. with every other killer there tends to be some reaction time, especially if spine chill's in play, but if you're getting sniped by a god tier huntress? nowhere is safe.
Yeah, I kinda love it though, the feeling of fear is exhilarating! It takes me way back to when I was new.

The most satisfying part was watching their horror when only 10 seconds of blood warden passed and end game collapse was about to happen, and I just stood there nodding at them.
XD, that brings me back to when I was learning Spirit, if only I used bloodwarden, I'd have had wins for days (used to suck and they ALWAYS teabagged).

My big fear was that they nerf spirits basekit too. Luckily they left her.
They did nerf hers, but it hardly did anything, she wasn't worse if the player is good, they just made her have a higher skill cap by removing collisions. I probably would have left the game permanently if they did butcher her base and refused to buff her back (I used to be a diehard Spirit main before Oni).
-
If you're curious, I got crushed in the matches, our team wasn't even bad. (back when my survivor skill was well honed, and I was not a nervous wreck like I am now)

As a now 2 year Freddy and myers main I am biased as hell, so I disagree, he has the clowns power plus map pressure. Huntress is not that good right now because of her hitbox.
Huntress can snipe across the map, plus I've seen sweats play with her, a god tier Huntress or god tier Billy are killers I FEAR completely. Good Huntresses or Billies don't make me scared though. But god tier players with them... you don't ######### with them.

Limiting her mobility was part of the nerf. They purposely wanted to make her weaker, not just harder. In my opinion the addon changes (except for the useless BP addons) were cool, but touching her basekit was a big mistake.
Yeah, her base was very balanced back then. She was equal to Spirit's base but they nerfed it.

Exactly my thought. Of course people dont want to play her when there is an arsenal of Bugs happening. I imagine someone picking up Nurse again and in the first game they play, they get the Bug where the second Blink is temporarily disabled. This person will probably not like to pick up Nurse again anytime soon.
If Nurse is in a fixed state, it would be way easier to judge if she is too strong/too weak/whatever.
Yeah, I don't personally play her because of her bugs. I love challenging killers that can snowball easily (Hag, Oni and Myers are my favourite to play and they fit the criteria, although Myers is a bit on the easy side, but mindgaming with him is fun and difficult against good survivors), but when they're bugged, I can't play them and enjoy them as I usually would.
That's why I haven't made my opinion on her yet, and in tier lists, I just place her as a draw with Spirit. (Whether she's better or worse, I'll never know until they fix)
-
Ok, I got a few:
I think that Freddy is overrated, he's not THAT strong imo, Myers and Huntress are far better despite having less mobility.
-
His ranged attack needs tweaks, aside from that, he's aight.

^ basically this.
If you were able to use Omegablink or slap on multiple Blinks, it helped a lot. This is not possible anymore (or at least with a bigger downside), so players who relied on Add Ons dont play Nurse anymore.
The only thing that NEEDS fixing (and it is a really strong NEEDS, like, it should 100% happen) is the fixing of her Bugs. As long as her Bugs are not fixed, nobody can really do any statements regarding her Balance, because you cannot really apply this to a broken character.
Besides that, using the Silent Hill Chapter to justify a Nurse Buff is... questionable.
I wanna see if she'd be viable without these bugs. I think she'd be more played, and if she wasn't, they could always rework her again.

Honestly, while I think her blink recharge isn't that damaging to her power as a whole, over time I'm slowly starting to agree that they should just lift it and change recharge add-ons to something else. At first it seemed like the recharge would give her this limit that she needed, but it wasn't that she was blinking too fast, it's that she could stack multiple blinks and give survivors less chances to dodge her. I'm at the stage now where I agree, remove her blink recharges OR decrease the base recharge at the very least. Even before the blink recharge was implemented, she was difficult to play and master, the recharge just makes her harder than she has to be, and handicaps her mobility.
They should've just added recharge to ONLY omegablink, then she'd have been fine.

The only other thing he really needs is a slightly larger AOE at base, and for clouds to linger ever so slightly longer at base, and he’ll be PERFECT (as this would indirectly buff all his add ons too)
Eh, I like his AOE, I'd only reduce his reload speed by a bit, then he'd have a strong base.

Hmm- addons
Much shorter stun period
Faster charge time
Range of chainsaw
Holding the chainsaw doesn't slow you down.
Killers shouldn't be addon reliant, that would make him addon reliant.
@BloodMoneyMerc said:
His chainsaw sweep needs adjusting in that his slow down when revving the chainsaw shouldn't be as severe. Also I would prefer if filling his chainsaw progress bar was just determining how long he would chainsaw sprint for rather than having to fill it up all the way. Can't tell you how many times I have filled it up all the way but somehow the action just cancels because I was like 0.01% away from a full progress bar. Plus his tantrum is way too punishing & the hitbox of his chainsaw needs to be reduced so he isn't hitting things offscreen that put him into tantrum. Also his biggest counter is survivors just turning around objects a lot because with each turn he loses distance. So either his base speed or acceleration could be increased, & they need to allow the last swing of his chainsaw to actually count for a hit. So many times you get to the 7th swing & finally reach the survivor, but the hit doesn't count because the hitbox disappears after the 6th swing. I would also make it that if he is standing still for a 5-10 seconds then his chainsaw deactivates & needs to be started up again. This could be a way to help limit those annoying insidious Bubbas. Finally, his addons need a complete overhaul. He has a few addons that are fine as is, but that is like 3 or 4 of them at most.
I like it. I'd increase his base speed when charging the saw, and, as you said, reduce the hitbox. I'd also reduce his stun time by a bit.

Don't forget that the devs are trying to change how the early game works.Depending on how they do that it could make setup killers like hag and trapper much stronger.
Oh god, I hope not. Trapper, fair enough, he could use a better start.. But if they buff early game, Hag would probably rise to Nurse and Spirit's tier, I mean Hag's already good enough despite her disadvantage in early game, but if they were to buff early game in general, she'd definitely become top 3.
If they were to do that, they'd probably nerf her in some place, like they did with Pig, which would be sad :(
Edit: I forgot how Oni would literally become OP if the early game became killer favoured. Like he'd dominate the meta as the best killer.
-
@PigMainBigBrain said:
I mean.....you're not wrong, but I dunno when if ever they're going to bring trapper out of the garbage can and make him strong. His power relies on people running into predictive situations, has a long set up time (which is terrible because time is everything) and you can detect trappers power with a simple and free survivor perk one that I actually run frequently. So I dunno. He's needed some love for a long time, but I doubt they'll do anything as big as the Freddy or Doc rework cause like....nobody plays him....cept for a handful of people...
Trapper is very close to being strong tbh, if he had more traps at spawn, he'd be very good.

U think Hag and spirit are stronger? He he can use it at loops instantky and ignores objects. That sounds much stronger to me :D
Never said they're stronger, they're simply better at countering loops. With Hag, people literally walk into her traps so there isn't even an attempt at a loop (if the Hag is good) and on top of that, if they do try to loop, she can place a trap and force them away, into her other traps. With Spirit, she can phase and bypass all loops but it's more consistent than him, since she can create guessing games and is difficult to juke (if she's good) and she can even trick survivors into coming back into her (if they're bad). But PH can be dodged (only for so long but still can be dodged)
No matter how good a PH is, he likely wont be as good as Hag, Nurse or Spirit at shutting down loops. But he's definitely up there in anti loop potential.

Hard to tell know for sure, because I personally could play him much with these insane lobby times. But when I compare it deathslinger who already pretty strong with his m2 and has only 110% ms it feels wrong to give ph 115%. I mean, his ability is the strongest anti loop mechanic right after nurse
Hag and Spirit are better at anti loop, but yeah, I get the drift.
@Todgeweiht said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1308637#Comment_1308637
I think its justified considering he gets slowed down to 110% when using rites of judgement and unlike deathslinger and huntress he doesn't have as much freedom of movement to land his shot.
Its similar to the case with old doctor and his 2 stances.
He should still be 110% MS, his anti loop is FAR stronger than Deathslinger's gun.
-
@DwightOP said:
I think the question is more: is the 115% of executioner justified.
Lets see how it's going to be over the time.
I think he should be 110% with a power as strong as his.

@Joelwino said:
Spirit is not op. however, addons are. I hate addons and how they make perfectly balanced killers like Spirit, Billy, Oni or Freddy too strong. You can hear her footsteps while she's phasing, but the chase music is so loud that you can barely hear it.

There is also the equal whining about the killer being too weak or new survivor perks being too strong. Remember the tears over All for One? I've seen that perk used once in the past month and it was supposed to be broken and meta.
Overreacting is the hobby of both sides on this forum.
In all fairness, Deathslinger, with his tiny TR is still easy mode. It's who I run when I want easy BP without the fuss. Heck, I even started running him with only MA and no other perks or addons. Fish in a barrel.
What's all for one? That's not a perk?

Nah, he'll only change it like Spirit did, where people only play in a certain style against him. They'll figure out his counter soon enough.

Well, maybe some of us want to wait a while to see if natural counters form BEFORE calling for the nerf-hammer.
I don't have access to the PBT and I can see that he is a strong, yet predictable killer. Trenches are easy to spot, and unless you're trapped somewhere, then they're easy to avoid. Or just wait out the timer on it. If you can dodge a Doctor's Shock Therapy, you can dodge his ranged option.
Perk builds are anyone's guess, but I'm theorising two main builds: Chase rush, featuring perks like Enduring and Spirit Fury to end chases quicky and go onto others or slowdown builds with perks like Thanataphobia, Sloppy Butcher, Deathbound and Ruin.
He doesn't need Enduring or Spirit fury, he can ignore pallets.

He should be stronger, Freddy took his uniqueness away smh. But Freddy can STILL teleport... just saying.
-
I like it tbh, aside from the killer being OP, the design and everything seems awesome.
-
Ok, I wont even sugercoat it, he looks broken. Similar in power to PTB Oni. There's no way he goes into live without a nerf. He has the potential to be balanced though, so let's see what the devs do.

Console also has better 360's, but devs are slowly making them even, they've buffed console's sensitivity a lot, and probably will soon to make it able to keep up with PC. I'm more worried about the FPS, especially on those graphics.

I'm definitely not the best in a chase. So either it helps or I'm improving. I guess it could be both. I seem to get away more running her than any of the other characters. I just bought everything the past few months,so obviously I don't have much to work with anyways. The grind is shocking for a newer player.
I have Huntress and Claudette at P2,Doctor and Ghostface at 50,Bill and Kate at 30. The rest are all at 15 or less,lol. I'm working on it though.
Just some advice that I learnt the hard way, don't bother prestiging, unless you plan on wearing bloody clothes, it's worthless.
