Have an awesome, ty for the cover heads up. I love covers. I'm still waiting for Marilyn Manson to do Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall".

Nice, I love covers too but it can be hard to find the good ones!

Got myself a nice collection over the years though :)

As far as I know, they didn't.

Read the Discord Q&A, which is the 3rd post on the announcement. The window has been increased by 0.5 seconds.

    Wow, just wow.

I'll slowly turn into a better looking OchiDo, Survivor is way too tempting atm. Good luck, remaining Killers.

  • I can asure you that if Killers won't be able to tell who's SWF anymore, many will stop playing Killer or DbD entirely.

And if dodging is getting punished, good luck finding Killers.

Yes, if they are close to main buildings and those safe windows, she can't counter it but for the most part, she can counter windows easily, even shack.

I like to point out broken loops, especially because there are so many of them. People like to think that there are just a few broken buildings while in reality, there are just a few that are not broken.

  • @Delfador said:
I kinda disagree on the spirit part.

Spirit with high mobility can counter 'most' windows easily.

She just can't counter extremely safe ones like the one in the rancid abattoir's main building or the coal tower because her power doesn't have enough charge.

...Coal Tower, Groaning Storehouse, Cowshed, Chapel, Discturbed Ward, Gas Heaven, Wretched Shop, Ironworks, Suffocation Pit, Haddonfield, Red Forest, Grim Pantry, Pale Rose, Torment Creek, Rancid Abattoir....

  • Depends on the type of loop.

    • Nurse can counter pretty much every loop
    • Clown can counter some of the loops
    • Huntress can counter some of the loops but suffers even more from others
    • Spirit can handle most pallet loops but suffers from window loops
    • Hag and Trapper can temporary counter specific loops
    • Doctor can handle a few loops
    • and Legion.... Legion can loop, too!

The others can't really deal with loopers.

Did you not read my quoted post?

I tired to understand your point since you mentioned "banned for lobby dodging" in the end, while talking about disconnects at first. This made it look like you think Lobby Dodging should actually be bannable, just like disconnecting during the trial.

I should've realized that it was sarcasm as no one would come up with such a ridiculous thing and be honest about it.

  • @SIlentCetra said:
It's hilarious that in your minds, it's a cardinal sin for a surv to DC but perfectly okay for a killer to do it.

That's okay, with ded servs usually comes disconnect penalties in games like these. We'll see how much you dodge when you can get banned for it ;)

Did you just compare lobby dodging with ingame disconnecting?

  • Red mori is the equivalent to Instaheals, DS or BT.

They allow Survivors to nullify a down state / hook.
Moris allow Killers to skip one down state / hook.

No, I don't think they're OP if you consider this. They're also ultra rare while DS and BT are perks that can be used literally every match by everyone.

  • They increased the flashlight save window by 0.5 seconds?!?!? If that's true, that's ######### insane lol

  • I always wondered why the Survivors find useful stuff in the KILLERS chest but nothing useful anywhere for Killers.

I suppose my english skills are not advanced enough to understand the meaning of this sentence then.

The issue Killers raise with SWFs are the same counter arguments they use when Survivors complain about perks.

Isn't this a direct comparision of SWF and perks? Correct me if I'm wrong but that's exactly what it looks like to me.

I’ve been in plenty of four mans where 2 or more die if not all of us. Usually one maybe 2 make it out. That’s also with the looking for swf posts which most 4 mans do. So just because you assume it’s going to go bad simply Bc it’s a four man makes you wrong. You don’t have to like what I say, but it’s true.

Ahh, now the typical "This does not apply to me / my SWF, therefore it isn't true at all!" argument.

I never dodge SWFs, therefore Lobby dodging is not an issue at all!

    See how this works?

  • @Tucking_Friggered said:
It's not bad logic, it's apathy and a desire for Behav10r to force killers to play in unfair circumstances so they can bully the killer with their friends for laughs. Or in other words, it isn't accidental. It's dishonest and with an agenda.

Yea but it's surely bad logic to compare "complaining about perks" with "complaining about people that use a 3rd party software to gain unintended ingame advantages".

Imagine complaining about a wallhack and the hackers say "it's fine because you used a Shotgun". Like #########?

  • @Paddy4583 said:
It won’t work like that, they won’t remove SWF as an option, they can’t monitor or control verbal communicating outside of their game.
Killers need to play or leave, not keep flicking through lobbies until they get what they think is a group of solo players, and then kick off when the solo players DC because op add on dr has offered up the game map ;)

The issues killers raise with SWF, are the same counter arguments they use when survivors complain about perks.. baffling!

What do you mean, it won't work like that? I didn't even provide a solution, I simply said the SWF issue needs to be fixed. Are you saying SWF can't be fixed in any way?

Of course is can be fixed, the question is How?

No, Killers complaining about SWF is NOT the same as Survivors complaining about Perks. How did you even come to that conclucion dude? One complaint is about perks being used, the other is about 3rd party softwares being used to gain crucial ingame advantages. Seriously, how can you compare those things? The logic of the users here is just ridiculous sometimes.

  • @Eveline said:
So everyone is toxic some just hide it?

The game is about hooking and killing survivors regardless of their playstyle. If they play normal (not toxic) they still have to get hooked and sacrificed after all, that's your job.

No, of course not everyone is toxic but in a 3v1 situation no one would play toxic because they know how easily it can backfire. It's like meeting a group of strangers in a 4v1 they get balls of steel but if you see them alone they're all "yooo buddy" because they know they'd get rekt. That's what I'm saying ;)

Imagine playing a "nice" Killer and the survivors would just throw themselves at the hook to give you the free kills for being nice :^) lol

  • @HeroLives said:
You make a joke out of it but this forum is filled with killers that lobby dodge all the time for a list of reasons that have 0 to do with ping. I get lobby dodged a lot less when I play solo. If I’m in a group a considerable amount. Coincidence? I think not.

    I hope so.

The SWF issue needs to be fixed, lobby dodging is just the Killers way to adress it. The more Killers dodge, the bigger issue SWF becomes and the devs are sooner or later forced to take actions or the people run away.

Whatever if “my connection” to “host” is bad why would I enter a match, when I can get one with a stable connection?

So if a Killer dodges a lobby, how do you know it was not because of the bad connection of a Survivor to the Killer?

You enter a Killers lobby, you're one of out of 4 Survivors. Chances are high that at least one of the Survivors has a crappy ping thanks to the ######### matchmaking, so the Killer dodges.

Every Survivor: OMG the Killer dodged because of ME . They're afraid of ME! LOL!

  • Letting Survivors escape as a Killer is a sign of emotional weakness. You play a merciless Killer, if you can't act like that you shouldn't play Killer!

jk, if you think a survivor deserves the escape then sure, let them escape.

The only reason a survivor lobby dodges is Bc we can see how ######### your ping is bruh. Lie to someone else

Here are a few reasons why Survivors dodge lobbies:

    • teammates are in a SWF
    • teammates have toxic names
    • MLGA blocked the Killer
    • Steam blocked a Survivor
    • Bad Ping
    • Failed to streamsnipe their favourite streamer

And why would I be upset when Survivors DC? I'm looking for challenging matches and not some #########, boring farm matches. If 1-2 Survivors DC you "have to" farm with the other Survivors or they're going to flame the hell outta you. All I want is good, intense and thrilling matches and if Survivors disconnect, they ruin this for me.

          - 360
          - Loop
          - Dead Hard

    • You can use DS

    • Borrowed Time

Are there any I left out?

Adrenaline to win distance in case the last gen pops during the chase. The speed boost should be enough to keep the Killer busy until gates are open or the totem's broken, easy escape.

  • Corn maps are pretty bad for Killers. It's not just because of the corn but most of the loops don't allow for any mindgames because you can see through them. The chases are mostly rather boring and predictable, no fun for either side.

  • @Paddy4583 said:
I think they mean, the coordinating of SWF you can be systematic in getting all the totems and be aware of how many’s left how many’s gone, as a solo survivor its harder to ensure all Totems are gone. I don’t think they were suggesting it can’t be done?

I'm aware of that, but the fact that people use SWF as a benchmark for balance these days is triggering me.

The whole point of hidden totems and no voice communication IS to be totally clueless about the state and placement of the totems. SWF BREAKS this aspect of the game but people (mainly Survivor mains) act as if SWF is the way it's meant to be handled and SOLO breaks the game. As in; solo gives them unintended disadvantages but in reality, it's SWF that gives them unintended advantages.

    It's just ridiculous.

  • The amount of BS I see in this thread is truly next level.

SWF is the only way to cleanse totems

Like seriously? You're unable to press M1 without your friends? Give me a break, this is just ridiculous.

Next up: We can't find the exit gates without SWF!

Just keep in mind guys, your horrible performance without SWF is solely the result of lack of skill. Solo Survivor main here btw.

The DS changes seem to be fine but I don't like how it nerfs some of the already weak Obsession perks for Killers.

I guess that's the sacrifice we have to make for that much needed DS nerf.

The only one that really gets hit hard is dying light. Remember Me is somewhat nerfed in the sense that if you killed the obsession, and new one could be made and they could open gates fast. On the other hand, having obsessions change mid game could also lead to gaining more stacks. The other killer perks are neutral with Rancor being a buff. But let's be honest here, all the obsession perks are rarely played as they are inherently flawed.

True, I just don't understand why it has to have impact on Obsession.

What if DS was just a typical non-Obsession perk that gives you a 2nd chance once per match if you happen to get farmed or tunneled? That whole "active Obsession" thing is BS, it just makes things unnecessarily complicated imo.

  • @Peanits said:
No. It's still one time use per survivor.

Ok, that makes it a great anti-tunnel perk (and only that). I like it.

What about a killer 4king but still depiping? Did they lose?

It's not physically possible to get a 4k and depip with emblems under normal game condition. Safety pip is possible, because you WILL get at least 6 points.

The only possible way you could DEPIP if you got a 4k would be if you pick tombstone Myers and never even hit anyone, then they gen rush you, then you tombstone them all. You might not get any Malicious/Chaser, and as long as they rushed you fast enough you won't get Gatekeeper. But literally every other case as killer you WILL at worst get a safety pip.

And even in this EXTREME example, survivors basically have to give it to you, because if they gen rush you before you get tier 3 then you can bet some will get out. So in a way, yes you deserve to lose because the enemy pitied you and let you kill them.

Also if you just hit them every once in a while and pressure them off gens even a little bit, you'll be guaranteed a safety pip if you tombstone them all. So even while this one case may be possible, it's so highly unlikely in a real situation that the only way it can happen is if the other team gives up their safety pip (win) to let you kill them for you to also depip (Iri Unbroken + Bronze Benevolence = 5 points, they need iri Lightbringer to pip which means 3 gens solo, more than likely they get silver or gold so best they can do is a safety except in extreme conditions, and b/c of this if you kill them they lose Unbroken and depip themselves).

PS. And even if we go by the term "Entity's Favor" you should depip because you killed all the survivors yourself without ever hooking them for the Entity. She would be mad at you for this. Even in the lore this is a depip.

You didn't answer the question at all.
You can slug them and have them bleed out. 4k but depip.

But what if I fully sacrifice 3 Survivors and last guy takes hatch and I just safety pip.

Is it a win or a loss? For me, it's a clear win and I don't care if a poorly designed pip system tells me otherwise. My goal is to sacrifice them, I sacrificed 3 out of 4 (probably 4 if there was no hatch). Do you disagree?

I don't agree. I see good rank 1 killers in streams using enduring, are you telling indirectly they are incompetent?
The problem of the "stop just before the pallet to avoid an stun" tactic is that sometimes you stop and the survivors dont use the pallet when you think they will do it, you waste time and the loop become even longer. It's better using enduring, get stunned intentionally and break the pallet and if they don't use it sometimes you don't waste time stopping and sometimes achieve a hit.

It's obviously different when you run a perk build that revolves around eating pallets, such as Spirit Fury & Enduring.

But I'm curious, what "good" Killers are you talking about?

I know many Killers that believe "eating" and breaking each pallet as quickly as possible is the most efficient way to play Killer. It's not.

Yes, stopping in front of the pallet is probably the most predictable and easiest way to bait a pallet drop without getting stunned but that's not what I'm talking about. You can lunge into a pallet but stop right before you enter the hitbox of the pallet. Of course you can only do that if the hit would actually connect, good survivors will know that by judging the distance and drop the pallet to avoid the hit, allowing you to bait it. As a Billy main, I can quickly revv my chainsaw to let them think I'm expecting them to drop the pallet so they could continue the loop safely but in fact I'm just revving the chainsaw for a very short time to make them believe I wanna immediately break it with the chainsaw. So they continue the loop and I can easily catch up.

You'll also lose bloodlust when you get stunned or break a pallet, this allows them to easily get to the next pallet and your chase never really improves. Each pallet resets your whole chase progression until they run out of pallets,

I also see lots of "good" Killers breaking every single pallet that gets dropped even if it makes absolutely no sense to break it at that point.

But anyway, pallets are not really part of this topic.

E: To make it simple, you can bait a pallet without feeding them the stun. You can mindgame to respect or disrespect the pallets to bait them into either dropping the pallet or going for another lap that you'll easily be able to catch up with bloodlust. This is obiously harder if you eat every pallet and therefore never get your bloodlust up.

  • Oh and I'd create an Easter Egg that gives Clown a special cosmetic: Borats bathing suite.

  • Spirit but I'd be afraid to rip her apart.
