This is mainly a console question but anyone is free to answer. I did play bight but this hotfix made him get them frequently so now its oni as I get rarely any when using his power

    Trick question, You don't.

I just leave the game until they hotfix/patch whatever is broken. This ain't the first time its happened either.

here's the thing, I dont even care if I die in the match. I don't have to survive to have a good time. I just want to enjoy playing and can't do so if I'm dead 1 min in. I want to earn my points and have fun. after all that's what gaming is supposed to be about.

Then I'd recommend looking up some old school strats cause the way to counter this has been brought up at least several thousand times just on this forum alone let alone random youtube tutorial vids.

Cryin about it on a forum isn't gonna do anything....its never done anything...and will likely continue to not do anything productive for you.

If it means altering your playstyles and builds for it so be it. Makes more sense than have the same thing happen over and over and have no idea ######### to do. But I'll tell you one thing, if you haven't leveled up bill yet for his perks you're prolly missing the strongest counters to the very thing you're complaining about. So don't ever say Killers aren't helpful.

ok well I'm not a dishonest person. I play to have a good time and enjoy myself, but if people are being toxic then it's not fun for anyone.

Depends on what your definition of "Toxic" is. Cause if its just losing....then everything is toxic.

A couple years back people on these forums would meet people complaints and whining with strategies on how to counter it. Its been 3 years since then and suddenly nobody knows how to counter camping and tunneling anymore. And suddenly Solo queue survivors are the weakest thing in the game with no builds guides or anything to help them not be trash.

The game and the strats haven't changed...but the people playing it certainly have. Your idea of "Toxic" used to be just another Saturday night outplay.

I would suggest looking up some strats. Cause I've seen these same camp/tunnel threads pop up day in and day out.....yet I haven't seen any posts in those threads bringing up tips to use against it in over 2 years. Maybe people got tired of regurgitating the same tips over and over but either way. The information is out there. Its a non issue.

  • Because you're on the internet, and dishonest conversation is a high feature of this forum.

I love this idea that there is a killer community its like we are all apart of some secret community cult that you need a killer pass to enter then we gather around a table in back hoods and organise how to facecamp survivors. You just had a bad few games my guy.

I had a rank3 Nemesis in Azarov hard tunnel Jill. David tried to body block and take a hit but couldnt extend the chase much. Jill DC after down the 2nd time. I & Meg finished 2 Gens.

Later Meg downed, David tried to unhook but Nemesis proxy camp. David downed, Meg gone to 2nd stage hook. I had to leave Gen with Ruin to unhook Meg. Somehow we managed to all stand up. Meg being targeted again. I & David leave the area to do 3rd Gen. Meg died. David got chased and down. I just give up not want to make a chase and just doing Gen. I downed.

Then he leaved both me & David bleed on ground to death while he punching zombie to tier up.

    Welcome to humanity.

The game was over when that terrible Jill DC'd after being downed.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.....survivors are their own worst enemy through and through 1000%.

I also missed it, but after re-reading HIS post, it shows pretty heavily which direction his bias lies right? By saying that "Nurse and spirit are too strong for the average player" he is coming at it from the survivor perspective, and not thinking about "Nurse and spirit in the HANDS of the average player"

The game should be balanced around high level play...point blank...period. Just for pure logical reasons you're dealing with human beings. Which in any GAME at high level WILL ABSOLUTELY without fail use every exploit and advantage to win the game. Developers can't make logical balance changes to MMOs or any other game if they only look at statistics and playstyles of people who've only reached level 10 and are still fighting Pigs in the starting area. Same applies to MOBA's, competative shooters, etc.

If your END GAME isn't balanced you effectively DON'T HAVE A GAME.

The amount of copium people discuss about balance changes runs completely contradictory to any other game they would usually play. And the only reason people bother running contradictions as such, is because the devs of this game have already let the window open to be swayed by bad balance threads and decisions. So you end up with a buncha dumb threads, with dumb takes from people who've played the game for a month or 2, and haven't thought any deeper into their own play habits or skill level. When I was new some of my takes were dumb as hell as well. Up until you get the experience and play the game at a high level a lot of what people say is pure garbage because they haven't sat down and thought about anything past the Queue button.

Tac on BHVR's garbage matchmaking and all these guys running tournaments have to adjust the rules to make up for how shoddy this games been thought out.

In the short run, the balance decisions are annoying. In the long run, the balance decisions are a retention killer. Seen it before with Evolve, Seen it before with DeathGarden, saw it with The Predator, Aliens vs game, the list goes on and those games are no longer around/dead.

Player vs player games should always be balanced around end game players...period. League, HoTS, Dota, CS-GO, Modern Warfare, WoW, etc etc etc. Those games PVP and communities didn't go anywhere and lasted as long as they did because devs were aware of how their game operated in the best of hands. And would even make nerfs based on those things. Even if they wanted this game to be casual, they would still have to balance around people who weren't casual who can abuse the methods of the game to pretty much break it.

If i have not totally missread your post, i dont get your logic at all.

If we want this game to be ballanced for the average player - then Nurse and Spirit have to get nerfed, since they are to strong for the average player. Top tier killer are ballanced for Top tier survivors. Average killer are ballanced for average survivor. Pretty simply, right?

A decent Spirit is still much stronger then a decent Doctor for example.

His post isn't rocket science....but you need to re-read it.

I just started less than a week ago and I already have red rank survivors with ttv in their names. The easy games lasted like... One day. Don't get me wrong, not every game is hard, but being lower ranked doesn't give me lower ranked opponents. Everyone in the lobby is lower than 12 which is where I am at. The average would probably be around 8.

Thats the fault of BHVR's matchmaking system, and the ability to be a red rank and SWF with a bunch of rank 20s.

  • @Akito said:

    In short

We further dispite fun in the game by making very annoying things in the game stronger.

because it's so fun getting 6 daggers from dozens the trickster just needs to spam with no serious counterplay other than W shift.

    Oh but

    sUrViVoR lOoK bEttEr NoW.

I think it's official that the devs supports more "w shift, split out do gens separated while everything looks good" instead of making abilities and perks interactive, fun for both sides. Making perks that are fun for both sides and not only a rancor or whatever that's just fun for one side and absolutely not interactive.

It's not about making a weak killer stronger. It's about making a annoying ability that's really not fun to go against stronger. That's the whole direction dbd goes. Instead of making Killer more mobile or faster to get around they make their abilities nearly uncounterable and/or very un fun to go against aka very oppressive as a survivor. But at least they're very slow so everything a survivor has to do is to split up and do all gens separated. That way the Killer can't pressure everyone because he's just 4.6 or even worse: 4.4.

And as a Killer that got a ability like that, like Trickster will do. It's not fun to against those teams. Teams who split up, w-shift, do gens separated. It's not fun ...

    And that's the point.

So a Killer is frustrated that if survivors just play how they're supposed to do you can't do anything about that.

And on the other side, as a survivor, it's very frustrating to get downed by an ability where you can't do anything. Where you have to hope that the Killer is bad at playing it right.

And this makes it not fun, but this is the direction it takes and no one realizes that bc many players only think about their favorite role in this game and not the game as a whole.

You guys gotta stop using "FUN" as a code word for "Easier".

You want easier games play lower ranks....

I love that as killer makes my job easier.

No....just bring Dark Sense+No One Left Behind or Dark Sense+WGLF. Literal BBQ and Chilli just survivor sided.

  • @Piruluk said:

The survivor bonus bloodpoint perk rewards farming others not doing objective, while the killer one rewards for playing well and doing killer's job.

This one of the reason that I dont like playing survivor because even though that the power role, the game not rewards enough doing the objective as survivor.

There literally is a perk like that already....

  • It does already....ah wait I forgot about 4.3 patch.

It would be more viable than it is already. Little micro nerfs like that just kinda suck tbh.

  • I rarely see survivors type GG after they get 4k'd. And I mean....I kind of expect that. People that lose games don't say GG, if anything they go completely mute.

I've seen and been a part of a decent amount of forums, mostly but not limited to, of online games, but never have I witnessed such abusive and outright ridiculous demanding from its users. What the actual [BAD WORD]?

Not sure what the company policy is on purchased content, cosmetic or otherwise (the game for example), but that's the only thing you might have the right to demand on. For example, if you bought a cosmetic and you don't have it or console players technically not being able to play the game right now.

Meanwhile, left and right, BHVR this, BHVR that, this not good, that not good, i want like this, no, i want like that, weh weh weh.

You paid a fair price for the game which is worth what you paid and if you consider how cheap it is on some platforms, there is absolutely no discussion there. After, whatever you purchased in the game was completely optional, even killers/survivors. You were never promised anything more and if you were, BHVR does not have to comply to anything. Everything you are getting, broken or not, you are getting for free, maybe at the cost of others, but never did you have to spend extra to be allowed to participate in new content. Whatever funding they received other than game purchases were donations with benefits.

I get it, you are frustrated and this is in fact a platform to express your opinion, even if most of the time they are not actually discussions, but nothing better is going to happen if we just fill this forum with stuff like this. 1/10 of the new posts after the event released are actually something good to read, to know, to ask, to discuss. The rest are just rude rants and you are lucky to get away with just a ban and/or deleted post on the forum.

90% of what makes the game broken is its community. (Not a real statistic of course)

Right, well, I got tired of writing and I can't think of anything else right now, and I want to go play the event. I just hope I find something good and interesting to read later on.

You're right....up to a degree. The exception being Console players who purchased a product but the product doesn't perform or work as advertised...AKA the cyberpunk buggy mess treatment. Other than that....yeah....forum is full of weh weh weh....*spirit noises*

So no, you are not in favor of adding LGBT characters if they happen to fit a certain stereotype, even though some real-life LGBT people do fit certain stereotypes, which is what @Johnny_XMan has been saying. And then you told @Johnny_XMan that they shouldn't only want representation for LGBT people who think like they do, which is what you're doing.

Just for the record, I don't think the first character should be stereotypical either (though I'm sure bad faith actors will pretend they are in order to stir up controversy). I like accuracy, however.

So are you in favor of having black characters represented as thugs or naw? Or would you prefer every caucasian character represented as some form of southerner with a cowboy hat? Or a hispanic character with a sombrero and miraccas more your style?

I'm curious cause none of those stereotypes represent real people I see everyday who are in those groups.....so which one is more realistic?

Yes, me as someone who is trans and bi, i'm totally have a problem. Dont try to put me into the "homophobe" category just because I don't happen to agree with you on LGBT not being a visible thing, because making it visible leads to stereotypes

I feel that way when game studios make black characters with saggy pants, a basketball, an afro pic, and use handguns as their main weapon....back in the day you'd get dumpster for putting out those stereotypes....but apparently this generation likes being stereotyped. I mean hell, they still think my people are too poor/illiterate/uneducated/downtrodden to use our ID's to vote....so....I been here a while I've seen closet racism in the form of "helping" constantly, especially racism against white people which is the popular thing to do these days in America.....people in the LGBT community are gonna have to deal with the same stuff....all I can say is buckle up and stand for being normal...not an obsession, and don't let people sell you, your group, or who you are as an individual out for profit....cause honestly thats all these companies care about at the end of the day anyway....

No, this hasn't happened with the Pride charm. The devs specifically require proof that you have been targeted throughout several matches (which has always been bannable) or proof your game was griefed because of the charm. It would be the exact same situation here.

It did actually...people actually complained because killers would avoid killing people with the LGBTQIA+ flag on their characters because they would threaten people in comments on steam and in game chat to report them.....which is exactly what we thought was going to happen....

  • @JimboMason said:

Alright, I'm gonna be honest here before I jump into the actual discussion, I wasn't on board for the longest time on getting a LGBTQ+ survivor, mostly because I felt like it felt weird in a game like dbd and that there are bigger issues in the game, but I've shifted my view over some time, and I've come to support the idea of getting a character like this. My main thing is, once we've gotten our character, how else can we help promote diversity and progressiveness. An idea I had is maybe, to help spread awareness, is that we can get a survivor who is either autistic or schizophrenic, as someone who has a family member who deals with both of these. Overall, I would love to see more diversity within the game, as I've come to see how important it actually is, and, even if it is a horror game, I want to see more people come into the game and feel comfortable that they are represented within the game.

edit: please be civil everyone, I've already seen some peepo get heated up

Uhhh....how exactly do you "represent autism and schizophrenia" ? I didn't know Autism had a look....I mean its on a spectrum...and if you asked me we already have an autistic character by the name of David....

  • I consider Scorpionz a mentor of mine. I've been watching him for years perfect his own playstyle, and borrowed some of his tactics to perfect my own. But unlike Scorpionz I tend to focus on objectivs and stall rather than brute force and constant dashing. Not that I've forgotten or don't use any of the dashing, but theres a time and place, but his little trick on certain loops to hide blood stain and double back ( I steal that ######### whenever I get a chance) . I usually play her as a snowbally Killer, stacking punishment on top of punishment, if I can get an inch I'll take a mile until I feel comfortable enough to LET survivors do things. And I'm not gonna lie, my first time playing pig I was pretty bad, and had games about as bad as yours.

Scorpionz usually tends to run enduring and pallet break perks. I tend to run Thano+dying light and objective gimmicks. If I catch an item in lobby I don't wanna deal with pop franklins, if I can detect a lot of heal sweat, I run all that plus sloppy butcher. Tampered Timer and crate of gears for sweat squads. But for normal matches where I can tell there are solo's I'll run a blind trap+mangled or an exhaustion trap+crate of gears, or blindness traps+knock out for SWF's. Get funky with it and creative. Her versatility in perks and add ons knows no bounds....except for the dogshit barbed wire add ons....we don't talk about those.

After Thano+dying light I usually will take another 3rd objective strat perk, especially ones that are false objectives like haunted ground, or Iron Maiden. Or thano+dying light+BBQ if I wanna be oppressive and keep up constant pressure. People always sleep on thano+dying light but against a killer who already has a secondary objective stall built into your kit those precious seconds saved by the perks combined can completely and utterly put survivors off their A game, especially if you know how to chase and end loops effectively. Above all else though as all the loopy crazy ######### is going on in a match I'm keeping track in my head of where survivors working on jigsaw boxes are, where I should position myself on the map to corner survivors, who I should chase next, how much time I have between chases and boxes, which of the survivors is trying to be a hotshot, and who of them is being altruistic. Overly altruistic survivors are my favorite because they just love to hook swap, <---which makes thano+dying light stack to the moon. And if you can....make survivors play against themselves more than you. Having perks and combinations that make survivors a hazzard to each other helps get into their heads, and can get into their heads enough that they make dumbass mistakes.

I can usually get about 7-8 dying light stacks plus a consistent thano pressure by the end of a match, which is 40+% ######### off and stop this damn game worth of slow down and about 2 hooks by the time the first gen is done. Thats 10%+10% slow down by the time 4 gens are still up. Then you just keep stacking and running people through traps even if it means putting the same person back on another bear trap. All about stalls and time with my playstyle. Meanwhile Scorpionz could run around buck naked, but because he's gotten so adept with chases and her dash, he really does make it look easier than it actually is, and some of the dash plays I've seen him do defy logic. But thats really the only 2 viable ways to play her. You're either charging into people like a bull and making 360 no scope chases and dashes and disrespecting pallets, or you play quietly and use stalling and pressure to get into peoples heads. Body plays vs passive mind plays.

She is an M1 killer but so is like 70% of the roster. If you already know how to operate an M1 killer then that skill will translate over to her with the bonus of having this chaotic mini game survivors have to deal with in the middle of it as well as on command stealth.

People put her at lower tiers compared to other killers (usually because they honestly suck at her and M1 killers in general) But back in my day we didn't have all these extra attack powers to carry bad killers through loops they should already know how to handle with M1 and no power crutch.

If you're used to having a power to crutch you during chases don't play pig or any M1 killer. If you know the fundamentals of all these different loop tiles, she can be a god in your hands.

Side note I'm having to take a break from this game for a bit cause my M1 button on my mouse is broken, ######### up all my lunges.....thats how much M1 killers abuse that button....

With a killrush killer, there is hardly any time to do totems. While totem perks are helpful they are not that great. The new counterforce forces you to go completely across the map and you can interrupted by a killer.

Nobody gets totems done with a killer like Blight running slowdown perks. Killers can put so much pressure on the map that even the primary objective can't be done.

Ah yeah you should know especially as a disgusting Nurse Main.....you should be ashamed of abusing such power.

If you get poisoned by gas it gives you permanent exhaustion/blindness/broken/hinder/etc depending on add ons, and the only way to get it off of you is open one of four jack n the box randomly placed around the map (that cannot be seen until you are poisoned) after opening it and removing the poison it plays the pop goes the weasel song and gives clown killer instinct for a few seconds.

I mean this has been the situation for a while, devs are and have been clearly aware of the current state of the game but pretend everything is alright since the unplayable killers aren't the ones in newer chapters/aren't locked behind a paywall. There's more profit to them from having the game in a really poor state yet releasing new content that will bring a lot of new players in since most of the playerbase won't really quit the game unless it gets so frustrating it's utterly unplayable and that is still not the case. They're just careless and have bigger objectives than keeping the playerbase happy with a well developed and balanced game.

This might sound sad but most multiplayers go several times through phases like this, often die to a decent competition because of this. But BHVR knows there's no real good engaging competition atm in this genre.

Edit: I can't wait to have MMR in the current state of the game.

New Evil Dead Asymmetric game is coming out.... that complacency isn't gonna cut it for long.

Freddy and Pig are my two mains, so I guess I'm a double demon. Are Freddy players now rare at red ranks? I don't play enough survivor to get to red ranks, but I thought statistically he was one of the most picked killers?

They've been rare. Not as rare as a demigorgon but still rare. Most of the time in red ranks survivor you see 1 freddy, and then queue into another game, then get the same damn freddy. Freddy players are like finding a Xiaoyu in Tekken ranked, and then getting them in the same lobby match after match. I would wager while Freddy mains are rare, they're commited and will play like 20 games per session.

  • @GeneralV said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2289151#Comment_2289151

Damn, I love your profile name!

My apologies, I may have expressed myself poorly, but see this situation through my eyes for a moment. When I started playing DBD, Pig was an Endgame Monster. Her traps used to activate instantly after the gens were done, as I am sure you are aware. Then, unfortunately, we got the EGC. It is obvious that my perception of Piggy changed.

However, I am no Pig main. If anyone is capable of truly measuring her strength it is you, not me. The only killer that I truly understand is Freddy, especially his old version. I guess we are both demons, right?

Also, I don't think that changes what I've said earlier. Yes, Pig mains on Red Ranks are usually good, but survivor's skills also matter when it comes to kill rates. And a huge amount of survivors barely understand Pig, because she is so rarely seen.

Survivor confusion when facing a certain killer does make sense. Back when there were tons of Nurses in the rank 1 pool there were plenty of survivors who knew how to deal with her. Now that a good amount of those flavor of the month killers moved on to either spirit or blight Nurse should perform even better after the nerfs cause a lot of survivors don't know the old strats.

I like to think of survivors as rotating doors of forgetfulness. They get used to whatever is popular, and dump/forget information and killers who aren't. So that when they face the person who never put that killer down they suddenly get dumpstered. Either way, I think devs need to put a bit more effort and theory behind the numbers they come up with and the reasoning behind them. Rather than saying "well our numbers show X killer is getting X kill rate and X escapes. Especially when the amount of people who main those characters is like.....5 guys...

You got guys like Scorpionz who are ridiculous notorious to the level of sevant pig players where if this 1 guy decided to leave the game....######### happens to your number averages then? Especially when he plays more games than other pig mains? Or that one guy who quit hillbilly who was borderline exploiting the game with some of his ridiculous kill rates and chainsaw tricks. Or Marth and his RIDIIIIIIIIIICULOUS Nurse numbers....Marths Nurse numbers are probably worth like 10 average nurses the way he would pop off. Devs need to consider things like this imo.

While pigs end game is pretty much gone, for people who mained her that wasn't our best tactic tbh. It was more of a gimmick build than anything else....so it goes bye bye....meh...not a big deal. We can still stall the game out long enough to just get things done before end game. End game was more of a..."lets play with our food and cause mass panic at the end where people rage".

I have personally tested que times at a variety of times on a variety of days over this week and the last week at 8am, 2pm, 8pm, and 2am, EST and its between 5 and 15 minutes to get a game, leaning closer to 8:30 on average.

Why are killer que times so bad? Survivor que timers are nearly instant, if not a minute tops, even at dead times like 2am.

I really want to play killer and get my rift challenges done and dailies, but I don't want to sit around for 10 minutes waiting for a game thats going to take 8-10 minutes to play.

A new killer just came out, queue times are gonna be a bit longer until the hype dies down. Till a month from now when they go back to being damn near instant, and survivor queues end up being 15-30 minutes.....

No this is a person who plays solo survivor for the most part. I assume the reason why solo survivor is horrible now is it's because a bunch of RE players ranked up quickly. The ranks are the most muddled I seen, I'm getting ranked up with greens and even lower we been getting placed vs rank 1 sweaty killers. And of course they go down in 5 seconds. No kidding I lost all my matches today as a survivor. It's been bad for solos out there lately.

No he doesn't LOL Sluzzy be trolling yall and yall always fall for it. Sluzzy is a Nurse main disguised as an angry survivor.

Just finished a match that Ruin won the game. On the game map where it is impossible to find totems. I saw with my own eyes 2 gens completely reset.

All survivors red ranks and it was a purple Nemesis. Killers are winning because of their perks and perks like counterforce are too weak. Blast Mine don't even help against Ruin. Why does it not counter POP completely? Game is just way too killer sided.

    Countless reasons, actually.

Take Piggy, for example. She is a weak killer, but her kill rates are impressive. My guess is that most survivors have no idea what to do against her, since it is possible to reach Red Ranks without ever seeing one.

Shes not a weak killer.....that was your first mistake. 2nd, the amount of actual pig mains in red ranks is very small. Simply put, she's strong....but not that popular, and people don't really wanna take the time to learn her mechanics or recalculate their gameplay to do well with her.

Spirit Mains on the other hand are a dime a dozen, she was insanely popular on release.

Pig on the other hand....not as popular as spirit right now, but the people who do play pig.....are usually demons.

Same with freddy. Freddies position in strength is arguable. But his fan base is small, rare, and the ones who do play him.....ARE DEMONS!

These killers popping up in matches at red ranks and killer kill rate has less to do with the strength of the killer itself and more to do with who's willing to master said killer and use it in any rank.

  • She's great don't get me wrong. But time is a serious issue for her. If you can cover up that flaw, you'll run every game flawlessly.

  • @TwitchyMike said:

Wow I just played hag for first time and boy she is fun and strong! Is she an A tier killer? She's gotta be. Just laying around her seals and scaring people and so much map control and pressure it is great!

Depends on if you have enough set up time or not. And add ons. Sorta the same way trapper is, but.....ridiculously slower. She works well against people who've never faced her or people who don't have flashlights. But she can be rushed with minimal preparation, which I would say in the current meta puts her down a few pegs.

Oh ok. I forgot this is killer main central on here. Fact is it’s a crap way to play and only serves to take the game hostage. However, I’m sure that idea is lost on you. Bubba main? It’s toxic and something you usually only see on bubbas and rank 15-20 killers with zero skill.

Because in some weird way, Bubbas and Twin players never learned how to play efficiently. The excuse is usually "I'm always getting gen rushed on Bubba/Twins" Which is crazy to me cause....I mean you wouldn't be getting gen rushed if you weren't camping and actually hauling ass on the map, and bring a damn slow down perk.

But ey, what can you do about it? Some of these new killer mains are embarrassing for the culture, and as entitled and whiney as some survivors. /shrug All you can do is teach where you can and hope some of it sticks.

  • @aroell said:

This is so true, but sadly most people on this forum are killer mains and they defend tunneling and camping as if there life depended on it. It makes me sad that they see it as a fair tactic. They have gotten used to it so much that they cannot play without doing such things.

Don't wrap every killer on this forum up into 1 bag as if we're all the same.

You have baby killers, and you have veterans. Any veteran killer will tell you camping is suboptimal because you basically throw away gen pressure for 1 guy. Its not worth it, and its embarrassing to veteran killer mains to even be lumped into the same camp as our baby killers. They are babies...they will learn eventually. Doesn't help when BHVR creates killers like the twins whos entire kit capitalizes on said tactics. But it is what it is.

Question for you though, have you ever tried some self reflection to think about the flaws from your own fellow survivor mains or do you only focus on the imaginary opposition made up by this game?

The stall doesn't matter if it's BAD. That's literally what it means to be bad. Pig's stall is BAD.

And like I said before, if you have more than one trap on at a time, the Survivors are probably handing you free snowball and you don't need the stall anyways.

Bruh....you're playing DBD in 2021 where all 5 gens can be dropped in 4 minutes or less.....ALL STALL IS GOOD STALL....

Most of the killers in this game are M1 killers....the only difference is most of them don't have secondary objectives nor do they have stalls...which is why you see them running ruin+undying pop goes the weasel all stacked together.

There are only 2 stats in this game that matter...mobility, and time. If your killer doesn't have either of those, you then become a slave to the survivors mobility and time. And against rank 1 survivors its usually a combination of both time and mobility and 2nd chances you have to deal with. The fact that you don't see the value in TIME or 30 seconds prooves you either do nothing but face rank 20s or usually end games in a 1k....especially with this crazy idea that "oh well if you get more than 1 trap on a group of survivors they are potatos" <---FOR YOU maybe.

I'm sorry, but it's very clear your bias towards Pig is making you delusional. I love Pig, she's one of my mains among Huntress and Doc as well. But she is definitely one of the worst killers in the game. The boxes are incredibly RNG reliant (with no add-ons, they get it off 50% of the time with the first 2 boxes checked). Plus, the death timer is long enough where survivors aren't worried about dying because they have more than enough time to check every box. Her stealth is the worst of its kind in the game and her dash is incredibly loud and easy to predict.

Most games, Pigs are forced to play as an M1 killer with an inconsistent dash attack that only works against survivors who don't know to leave the loop while the Pig is crouched. Her only real chance at doing well is if most survivors take 3+ boxes to get their traps off, which is a rare occurrence. Even then, you also have to hope the survivor you're chasing doesn't know how to loop that well so you can keep up pressure with more downs + traps.

While I love playing her, and I'm a big fan of the Saw franchise which might explain why I like her so much, I can objectively say she is a terrible killer. And you should try and clear your eyes to see beyond this bias you have for her because she is widely known by the entire community to be a terrible killer.

RNG boxes? Who cares....its time stalled, and in some occasions a dead survivor. (And did you really just admit to using her dash attack to sneak up on people in stealth? Instead of uncrouching and getting the grab?)

Theres no way theres this many bad killer mains in this game.....no way. Like I think this might be a straight up L2P issue....like ######### did I just read? Bruh.....read a tutorial or get a guide or somethin cause this is embarrassing...

Well, there's stall that actually slows the game down. One random Survivor taking a little time off the objective is not effective when three other people are doing gens.

I can see that the "big brain" in your username is an ironic joke.

Its still a stall....time is going to be spent no matter what, once they have a trap on their head they aren't leaving the game without exploring jigsaw boxes first. And you're also assuming that only 1 person ever has a trap on at a time....like....do you think pig players just tunnel the guy with a trap on all game? If so...yer doin it wrong....

Have you even played pig bro? Cause if you haven't you should probably play the killers first you're talking about before speaking about a tier list....matter of fact don't just "try" be effective with each one then come back and discuss tiers. Cause this idea of a stall not being a stall is delusional. Its literally free pressure. And this isn't even including add ons to make searches take longer.

I realize he's 115% but even from Survivor perspective he feels like 110%. Maybe it's just the hold W effect these days with the new maps but it feels like it takes forever for him to catch up.

He had a bug on PTB where his movement speed would get stuck if someone dropped a pallet on you and you had tentacle charged. It would force you to move at the slow speed he moves while he has tentacle attack at all times, basically making him ~110% hell maybe even 105 who knows....but it was broken.

Theres a chance the bug is still present... /shrug.

And you see, what you just said there is a coherent complaint. You listed various problems that bothered you about the update. Fine.

What the OP did was just spew out a bunch of expletives. His post only makes even a little bit of sense if you happen to also be dissatisfied with things.

I mean its not hard to see whats wrong with it unless you put blinders on and inhale extensive amounts of COPIUM....

You did NOT buy yourself 4-5 minutes. While the Survivor you trapped is getting the box off, you have 3 other Survivors who are free to do gens as they please. Temporarily distracting one Survivor from doing generators for a short time is NOT good stall. And if you're able to snowball hard enough that you can get traps on multiple people? Well, then the Survivors were trash and you didn't need the stall anyways.

"Temporarily distracting X# Survivor from doing generators for a short time is NOT good stall"

    What...other stall is there??!?! WTFF

The alternative is the survivor is just dead......#########...thats not a stall they're just dead....

How long have you been camping and tunneling to the extent where you think 30 second to 2 minute banish stall isn't a stall?!??!

I think you could make a case for Halloween, but not NOES.

    Stranger Things was HUGE.

They did a pretty damn good job with stranger things though. There was some bugs and issues, but nothing game breaking. And the killer and perks released for both sides were actually good. Not the most insane things in the world but damn good.

  • @Science_Guy said:

OP still hasn't discovered the Enter key, I see.

There wasn't a single substantive complaint in this weird rant until the end where you complained about the map not being available. Which, sure, you're right that it's lame the map is broken, but otherwise that entire post was just a bunch of random, angry sentences.

People can't even play the damn game....console is completely assed out. Not to mention the sorry excuse of a killer release, on top of sound bugs...like ######### even....

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/258728/why-are-survivors-so-boring-and-unoriginal

When Ruin Undying was the peak of it's popularity, no one switched to small game or detective's hunch.

When people complain about inefficient plays in solo que, and i tell them to run kindred, they refuse.

Survivor's want their second chance perks and when called on to adapt, will instead complain on the threads so the game adapts to them.

Survivors I've noticed like to run builds that are counter intuitive to their own flaws as a player. How it makes sense...I have no idea. But I see it a lot when I try to help survivors by offering them perk solutions....they just ignore it, or make up some excuse, or whine. It really is amazing. You got survivors running around who clearly have issues knowing where their team mates are, knowing where gens are, finding totems because they don't like dealing with ruin or noED.

But I guess in their minds crying is more viable than actually finding a solution....
