Its not gen rush, its a lack of pressure. People need to stop over commiting on one survivor then get mad when all the gens are done. You never stopped and checked on the gens that are actively being worked on. What, you think survivor's magically stop doing the objective just because you are chasing someone? Come on, People. Break off and check gens.

Killers can only chase 1 person at a time....you can't NOT commit....they'll just heal back up in the time it takes you to finish another chase and you have to start all over.

  • @DawnMad said:

So a match against a very weak killer who isn't even good enough to end chases and hasn't pushed you off a generator a single time, how is it surprising that the game ended quickly? This is the equivalent of a killer ending the game with 4-5 generators remaining against a bad team. Do the same to a top tier killer and post that, then you will have a point.

Survivors literally throwing themselves at the killer and giving up in 2 minutes is not the same as getting gen rushed in 2 minutes. In both scenarios, survivors are in control of the outcome.

Like we have so many killers who do his job better and faster... I never see him in games and when I play him it's an easy escape. He truly did go from top to bottom real quick. So you guys having the same experience or is it just me? And if you are how should the devs fix him?

Most of the Iconic Hillbilly mains quit......soooo....you're left with regulars who aren't that great with him.

The amount of killers I have been facing recently that just camp and tunnel and slug for 4k's without any remorse is disturbing to me. If you try to ask them why they tell you various things like: You just need to play better. Should I just let you live? It's my job to kill you. I don't care I won.

The win mentality some people have in this asymmetrical PvP game is really bad.

You can not kill any survivors and still "Win", survivors can escape and still "Lose". If you 4k and get a bad score you lost. If you escape and get a bad score you lost. If you didn't have fun you ultimately lost. How is absolutely destroying 4 solo queue survivors who are not that good fun for you? Did you get bullied by a really good SWF now you are taking it out on average survivors?

I have many hours in this game going back to 2017, I am just over 4000 hours of playtime. I main Amanda Young when I play killer. I know what it's like to get bullied as a killer. It's definitely not fun. I however don't turn around and start playing like a sweat lord who has vowed to get vengeance on every survivor like they are the Russian mob who just killed my dog and stole my car.

On Amanda I run A nurses calling, Brutal Strength, Enduring and Monitor and Abuse. I never try to slow the game down, I only slug occasionally when I am actually getting bullied. I NEVER tunnel, I make a very distinct point to NEVER tunnel. When a survivor gets hooked I make note of who I hook and how many times I have hooked them. I ALWAYS let survivors get unhooked, I never chase them off the hook. I go for 2 hooks on each survivor, and then some downs before I let every survivor go. I always score 21-25k points. I don't always kill all the survivors and "Win" But I always get legitimate GG's and +rep from survivors. I even meet people I am happy to see again or vice versa.

This is a challenging way to play, you don't always succeed. It's EASY to camp and tunnel. It's EASY to slug for the 4k. It's EASY to play like a dick. Ultimately the killer CONTROLS the pace of the game. As a killer you are playing with 4 other PEOPLE. Ultimately at the end of the day it's about having FUN not winning. Is it fun for you to prevent 4 other people from having fun?

Thoughts? Opinions? Personal Anecdotes? Lets hear some juicy rants from both sides please.

Killers and survivors are getting worse at the game imo. And the community is going to hell to match the terrible quality of the state of the game atm. Survivors never adapt....and refuse to adapt to anything new. (Which is expected, considering the entire premise of survivor is playing reskins of the same mechanics with different perks attached.) Meanwhile on the killers side people are getting to the point where they don't care anymore about the "Invisible Rule Set" Camping, Tunneling, Slugging are all made up bullshit to explain tactics in the game that survivors don't like to face. Killers (Mostly the ones who play killers who have generally no pressure) are fed up with the balance of their characters or weakness either or. And flipping the rule books around. Eventually you get this cycle of repetition where Survivors rage at something, then that thing gets nerfed, then the killers who play that thing say ######### it, and proceed to play as sleezy as possible to make up for the nerfs. Saw it with Blight after PTB, Saw it with the Twins after they came out of PTB in a sorry state then got worse. Saw it from Clown, etc etc, the list goes on.

I personally don't care. I'm over it. The community has gone from being quick witted and skillful to half witted and bad at the game at all ranks. BHVR won't cultivate a game that rewards skillful play, so they keep releasing clunky killers who get hamstrung by their own abilities, and nobody teaches survivors anything anymore. Wall techs, window techs, how to flashlight save, bad loops, or even basic stuff like when is a good time to save someone from the hook, or even how to hide. Instead BHVR keeps releasing neon colored outfits, and perks that encourage survivors to make dog ######### plays. Like that dumb ass locker perk that survivors always try to use....like....why tho? Why give them a tool you know is gonna set people up to fail.....

Now we got Nemesis coming, probably one of the biggest if not biggest current licenses they could get. And I have a sneaking suspicion that its not gonna sell that well and we end up with another killer like the twins. People pick it up for a hot day, then put that dumb bimbo on the backburner until people forget it exists.

What made you play this killer on a regular basis , I have seen tons of people complaining about her gameplay and counterplay but i never thought what is the reason people play her.

I have played spirit for some matches and my opinion is that she is easy to play. Stridor makes it easier by countering iron will. (Sorry for any mistakes i made but English isnt my first language)

Because she is in full control of the killer side of the match. She has high mobility, and doesn't have to wait for survivors to make mistakes just to progress kills. If you wanna go hit and kill and down a survivor you can go do it without any washed up extra bullshit. Plus your ability to make survivors who have a weak brain psych themselves out to death. It doesn't get any better than that for a killer other than Nurse. Nurse, Hillbilly, and Spirit are the only 3 killers who can solidly keep pressure on the map at all times. Without the need for traps, or secondary objectives to slow the game down.

As for the rest of the killer roster, if you don't have a secondary objective......Just FF the match and put that killer in the trash, cause you're likely going to end up with the exit gates open and like 2-3 hooks against a team who's actually trying to win against the killer.

If we could have one killer what would it be? HI SISTERS! that's right James Charles I want him to be the killer, because he has a white face and he should be the top new killer for the broadcast (Maybe If i'm joking), he should have a power to scare survivors saying: HI SISTERS! and he has a kondor brush as a weapon. He would be a killer to play with, and he should be a top good tier on the killers list.

We have a Kpop killer....haven't we cringed enough....

I don't trust it at all. Knowing the community it's going to be really abused because of how petty and selfish we can be. Imagine in a swf everyone reports the killer for camping pr tunneling or if the killer reports every survivor for using hatch or key or flash light blinding them.

I'm all for them limiting and reducing toxicity but this seems like it can bring about more toxicity. What do you think?

Everytime AND ANYTIME You give players of a video game tools that are administrative you can guarantee those tools will be abused.

You need 4x as many Survivors as you do Killers to start a game.

My Killer queue times are about a minute. Every day. Consistently. In fact, I just had one less than 30 seconds.

    It's in the math, friends.

    Enough is enough.

    Enough words.

    Enough redirections.

    Enough fallacies.

Queue time for Killer is NOTHING.

Because there are PLENTY of Survivors to go around.

Playing Survivor is free real estate. Everyone knows it. Everyone shows it by what they play.

Take a balance-designed game like CSGO or LoL. Now imagine if you always had to play the team that had 4 people, and your friend always had to play the team that had 1 person. Who do you think would ALWAYS get their games first?

But yet, in DBD, it's the exact opposite. Killer queue times are FASTER. Even though they should be the exact opposite, SLOWER.

How much more do you need??? I am actually asking you this. YOU. You, personally, Guy Who Keeps Saying Game Balance is Fine.

What does it take for you to admit it? If even the sheer, raw math doesn't crack your shell? Do you need god himself to peek out from the clouds and be like, "YES. YES, INDEEDETH, SURVIVOR IS FREE WINS IN DEAD BY DAYLIGHT! NOW AWAY I GO!"

What in god's FREAKING name does it TAKE for you lot to just ADMIT it??????

Enough WORDS. Enough DEBATING or ARGUING.

It's RIGHT the FRICK THERE. It's IN the NUMBERS. It's IN the MATH.

4:1 player ratio and the 1 has faster queues.

    GET. REAL.

    The playerbase knows it.

    EVERYONE KNOWS IT.

    STOP.

    SAYING.

    ANYTHING ELSE.

I just can't take it anymore. Human delusion LITERALLY knows no bounds. There is NO LIMIT to what people will tell themselves.

Somebody help me. Legitimately. How do I cope with this? Why does it even upset me so much???

There are more survivor players than there are Killer players. If the killer pool of players goes down, survivor queue times go up exponentially. If Killer population increases, then survivor queue times go down. Its a supply and demand issue.

    No killers=No game.

I just hate getting tunneled with an active trap on my head and the fact how they just body block the jigsaw boxes is what kills me the most like its an instant death. No im not saying I hate tunneling killers in general I just hate that type of tunneling. I know pigs want a head pop but sheesh thats the most annoying way to get one. Its possible to get head pops without doing that since I use to main her.

I mean....its a thing that you can do as pig....but ultimately its going to lose you the match or become so much of a waste of time you lose gens. And, if survivors lose as a whole to a pig who does that.....then you guys were never gonna win to begin with cause you're bad. I mean yikes dude....thats like 2-3 minutes of hanging out as pig doing nothing but sitting at a box......the exit gates should be open by that point.

I would approach it the same way you would a killer body blocking a hex or camping a hook....like....that killer is going to lose the match overall....why even be mad? They lost....

Go back 6 months and you'll see just as many Spirit threads as you do now. You'll also see a whole lot of DS threads. And DS/UB threads. Funny how they magically disappeared.

And to be honest, the only thing that changed about Freddy was him losing those awful no-effort slowdown add-ons. It's not surprising that getting rid of those got rid of a lot of Freddy players, even though he is just as easy and plays the exact same way. So why so scared for a Spirit nerf? Most people just want some actual interactivity, killers included.

Yeah man I agree....getting rid of Killer players is healthy for the game. We all love 30 minute survivor queue times.

  • Its a excuse....BUT I do understand it when it comes from certain killers who just....suck at pressuring the game. Its more a design flaw in killers than a design flaw in the maps tbh. You have certain killers who perform exceptionally well with map pressure and slowing the game down. And you have killers who's kit is garbage and should be looked at to at least give them some form of gen presence. People will play those killers and expect fair results....but its not the case at all. I've played pretty much all the killers to a decent degree, I will admit my nurse game is garbage. But for at least 1/3 the killer roster, you will go into that match knowing that you will absolutely lose all of your gens.

And again thats a problem with certain killers designs more than anything. IMO BHVR should look at some of these old kits and rework them. Trapper, Huntress, Myers, Bubba, Clown, Deathslinger, and the Twins probably have the worst kits in the game when it comes to map pressure and gen pressure or even secondary objectives.

And the messed up part is that.....^ people will complain about these killers being powerful....while at the same time largely escaping every single one of their matches against said killer. And if they don't escape its because they're getting camped or slugged. Thats the truth. People whined about huntress 1 tap hatches with a multi belt.....while at the same time they have no issues escaping those matches. She has no gen pressure. (But just bring RUIN) <----Yeah thats not balanced. Especially when the rest of the killer roster doesn't need to worry about that to be effective. Its something they should look into. If every killer was at least Freddy tier, then they could buff solo survivor play to make things fair.

  • @Gwinty said:

    I don`t get you.

I get scared by Ghostface and Meyers all the time. I think Bubba is a surefire reason to run and hide and Wraith is still a scary hunter...also Spirit appearing next to you...

Well, let us just say, that it depends on your own mindset. If you want DbD to be spooky, then go on and play like that. Immerse yourself into that fantasy a bit more, do not bring Dead Hard, Deceisive Strike, Iron Will and Unbreakable. Leave your Spine Chill and Object of Obession at home.

Horror games are not scary because of jump scares. They are scary because you allow them to be scary, because you immerse yourself and let the game "do its Horror-thing". So get into that fantasy if you want, nothing is stopping you. The Killers do not have any goofy costumes (even Clow is still a Terror), the maps get more detailed and play to more Horror then just "dark and spooky" (Reworked Coldwind is brilliant, showing you just how scary even a bright place can be), the devs do many things to help you immerse if you just let them.

And if you play Killer, well, play to the fantasy as well. Bubbas basement is scary, Ghostface stalking done right is scary, Pigs game can be nervwrecking. But you need to be good at them. Nobody would take a Chainsaw murder serious if he misses all his swings, nobody would take a Stalker serious if they get revealed within 3 seconds and so on. You would not be scared of a bad killer under any circumstances. You get scared if the killer is skillful, because then he has a chance of well, killing you. Same here: You want survirors to fear you? Hard work for sure, I am bad at it myself. But I can not blame the survivors for not fearing an incompetent killer like me playing Nurse or Executioner.

Its a good point, I do think skill matters a lot on the killers end when it comes to having a presence worthy of being intimidated over. But I can see some difficulty in that when they outright choose to set up matches where the killer is 5 to 10 ranks lower than the group of survivors. IMO it should be the opposite. Survivors should be default be set up against more skillful killers up until they reach rank 1 where they can only face rank 1's. That way they have a reason to actually try. When you're going against a killer who is clearly new to the game and you're in some bad matchmaking as a rank 8 against like a rank 20 bubba. It makes everything too easy. Theres no sense of thrill or threat.

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

    Yes, survivors don't fear you.

Because you're not actually a killer. You're a dude playing a video game against other people playing a video game.

And eventually, you learn a game.

You learn how to play it effectively. You learn that the chase is the most fun part of the game. You learn that holding M1 is the least fun part. You learn how to help while engaging in the most fun part of the game. You learn how to do silly, fun things.

I've been playing for a good 'ol while now. I don't fear the killer, and I don't expect to be feared.

It doesn't keep me up at night.

    Speak for yourself....

    I farm screams bish!

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryLR8DKkTLs

I don't think the game has gotten any less scary in theme. But it has gotten less scary as far as pressure is involved. Making people jump out of their own ass is fine. I don't think to this day I've ever had a problem with jump scaring people. But not every killer has a scary kit.

And I think that is the main problem. Most killers in this game just do not have a scary or the type of kit that keeps players on edge. Something I think they should actively try to solve tbh. Before we get more cartoon ass content making these licensed characters look like joke characters.

If BHVR can't get it together and keep some of the shocks and cool sweat inducing interactions up then this game will go down the well into the "Party cartoon pvp" spectrum. Like Fortnite or something. The whole reason I even bother with DBD is because it was horror in nature. They just need to adjust a lot of these killers kits, soundtracks, and interactions to either keep people on edge when you're playing against said killer, or stop giving as much information when you're against a more spooky jump scare type of killer. As a Pig I know I'm doing a good job with this because I can read a survivors reaction, and later check a vod to confirm if I did indeed make someones heart jump out of their chest when they pop a gen and sprint burst away. Then I'm doing my job at least for the survivors who did buy this game hoping to see something or experience something scary.

You know it'd be like buying the game Outlast, and instead of the monster and environment going out of its way to scare the player, they instead post a bunch of text on screen warning you of each and everything thats about to happen next before it happens on screen. Thats the problem with current dead by daylight and its fear factor. Basically, you're watching a horror movie and there are spoilers that pop up on screen 1 minute in advance. Imagine that, going to a theater to see a horror movie and that type of text is constantly popping up.....wouldn't you walk out or feel like you're getting cheated?

Now I'm not saying the use of these perks is bad, but why do the devs think that putting a perk in a game that doubles the gain of points seem okay. It's almost like they know the grind is horrible and want to alleviate it with a perk.

While I don't mind running them, I wish that it was less necessary in my head? The main reason I play anymore is to level characters, so of course I run it. But it seems so odd that if you don't run these perks, you could be getting 50% the amount of bloodpoints in a match.

It just seems oddly drastic and like a bad band-aid for a grindy progression system.

Personally, I think that either the grind should be reduced or bloodpoint gain should be higher, and that BBQ/WGLF's BP bonus should be reduced to ~25%.

I know this sounds ridiculous but think about it, if High BP by default/Lower BP boost was the norm, you would be gaining a lot more when not running those perks and gaining a similar amount when running those perks by comparison to now.

I'm not opposed to changing the grind up a bit, but all they'd really have to do is just make everything cheaper on the bloodweb.

The Kpop Star, the Clown, The stupid gangster kids, and Ghostface should all be bottom Tier with pig. Cause they're all Humans. Sorry pig....but....she's a small woman. A good clock to the face and she's out. Ghostface and Clown might be a bit harder to take out. But if clown doesn't guard his jawline he's KO'd. I agree that camping pallets is worthless but dropping pallet strategy is useless against this killer since she can just phase shortly with no effect after she finished her initial phasing, with good headphones your chance to escape her is almost zero. You can argue whatever but still majority players agree that she needs nerf.

the red rank survivor is currently jokes right now since dev never fixed any matchmaking

Dude.....she has a cooldown. She either has to stop and break the pallet or phase. If she phases and you've already moved onto the next pallet or window etc, she has no options after that. You can either loop from there or move onto the next obstacle. If she doesn't break that first pallet you can always go back to it forcing her to deal with it. <----out of all of that you may have easily wasted 20-40 seconds of her time in a chase. WHICH IS WAAAAY MORE THAN ENOUGH. Considering there are other killers who end chases in far less time.

It's more the fact of running perks to counter perks. I mean, imagine being forced to run Discordance every game because Prove Thyself. The devs nerfed Prove Thyself and toolboxes so that killers do not need to rely so much on Discordance any longer.

So your logic "survivors want it all" can be applied to killers too in this scenario.

The fact that the amount of perks that should be basekit for solo survivors is 10 times larger than the perks that should be killer basekit, shows that killers dont really have anything to complain about. The only killer complaint is a 4 man swf. Any solo survivor in a team puts survivors at a disadvantage that killers rarely use. Solo survivors dont know if their teammates healed up at all. They dont know if they are doing anything useful. If you see any post about Buckle Up, Unbreakable, Bond and Kindred being basekit, its because of people who play solo survivor. Playing killer is a cakewalk compared to solo survivor.

Or you could just run thano and dying light and nullify it that way. The point is, there are tools and options for you to use when you find a hurdle. A survivors choice not to use those tools is 100% up to them. You choose to fail. And honestly....I'm gonna shut up and not bother teaching survivors anything else because honestly....the dumber survivors are the easier my games get. If you wanna fail....more bloodpoints for the killer.

Truth is nothing works on spirit, even if you just camp pallet it's only giving slight time to prolong the chase, i'm still the same as @MadLordJack , i used to feels angry when someone said to nerf spirit, but looking back with other killer you would realize how imbalance her skill with other killers. I'm more agreed to buff other killers and nerf spirit than just let spirit not to be touched

First off....you shouldn't be camping pallets against a killer regardless of who it is....

This conversation about spirit, NoED, DS, Keys, Nurse, Ruin etc etc come up over and over again. And people never look inward to improve, just whine about it until its nerfed etc. Killers will whine over and over again about old DS. Somebody comes on forums and explains a way to counter it, the immediate response is NO+(INSERT EXCUSE HERE) People whine about Keys, people say, you know its easy to just run franklins you can see the damn key in the lobby. Response is (But muh NO IT TOO POWERFUL NID NERF) People give tips over and over and over again about how to counter NoED, Spirit, Nurse, hell Even old mettle of man had a weak spot. But NOOOOOOO...

People aren't willing to improve. And its sad to see this state of the game. Where a few years ago, everybody in red ranks was a certified SAVAGE. Now its just a joke, and you have people who are supposed to be good at the game looking at their rank. Not even have basic functionality when it comes to countering either a strong killer asset nor a strong survivor one. Its pathetic to see these threads....

I do feel bad though. It’s not something I can control. I play both sides equally and I have a miserable time playing against Spirit just like everyone else.

Stop playing the same way against spirit then?

Why keep trying the same tactics when they don't work....doesn't make any sense. She's a killer who needs chases. Playing stealthy against her helps loads. Dropping your pallet and moving on to the next loop helps loads. Windows....HELP LOADS....

Oh and one more thing.....DON'T CAMP PALLETS! Its an old hint but works just the same.

  • She always has, you just haven't been paying attention. Its one of the first things I complained about in her kit and the devs have yet to remove it. Luckily enough though, most survivors are too tunnel vision to notice that type of thing. The 2 or 3 survivors that I've faced who do pick up on that queue gave me the most trouble I've ever had on a spirit.

I've been playing the game for a few hundred hours now and every match seems to be against a bunch of rank 1-4 survivors (as a rank 8-10 killer), which would be fine if not for the fact that they all run the same perks, they're almost always good at looping and wasting my time and without gen slowdown perks it's next to impossible to assert any amount of control over the game. Gen tapping is one of the most annoying things I've come across and I don't understand why it's even a thing still - it takes me several seconds to kick a gen (which does basically nothing) and they can just tap it, even mid chase with no drawbacks.

I'm all for getting better as killer and I am trying, but it feels like I'm playing at 110% all the time and it's too stressful knowing that the survivors aren't even having to try, as evidenced by them constantly clicking their flashlights at me and dicking about. I've bought some of the DLC killers that I thought would fit my playstyle more and to get more perks but every game just feels like a bullying free-for-all for the survivors and it's making me actively detest this game. There's no happy medium for difficulty, it went from potato-brained survivors which wasn't fun to swf groups that make me want to throw my monitor out of the window.

Whats your playstyle? Better yet, what are your weaknesses? It may be time for you to go all in on a main.

Secondary note, the game does get stressful, but there are ways around that, and there are ways to change your own mentality so that you win more consistently. Remember you're playing against other human beings. 4 of them no less. When you go into a match, try to imagine yourself as an actual killer. Don't stress, don't sweat. Think about time, think about what you think someone is going to do next. Think about the person you just chased and downed. What items did they carry, what clothing are they wearing, how good were they at looping?

My easiest games as killer are when I'm not sweating. What I do is I go in, as soon as you start the match, you already know theres going to be at least 1 or 2 survivors at the generator furthest away from you, so I usually B-line it there. I find some people, either in stealth or out of it, and quickly down them. Now the first person to go down, is usually the weakest link. Think about what they did in the chase. I down them, I hook them, I try to remember were there any other survivors nearby? Which direction did I see the other survivors? If there were none, I scour my way onto the next chase, watching my position so that in order to get to their friend, they have to either hide from me, or pass me on the way. If there was a survivor there, remember where they were at and snuff them out.

Theres some things I also like to do pre-match to throw survivors off. For instance, when I see a med kit....I instantly know....that person with that kit....that kit is going to be their biggest flaw. Same with a person with a flashlight, or a Key. If they have a flashlight, you know they're going to at some point of the game try to do something arrogant. And you can exploit that, bringing things like franklins or other perks you know will aggrevate them. And when people are aggrevated....(They don't think straight, which is the perfect chance to take advantage of them) Its all one big mind game. When you start thinking about how other people think and even picture yourself as the psychopath itself, it leads to easier games. Because eventually you can play the survivors against themselves by exploiting that predictable element in people. It may not be something you gain overnight but take your time. And above all else, figure out a killer that you can play that you know will be able to carry out whatever plan you have in mind.

please lmk if im missing something!

Look at the grass around her feet....survivors keep making this bullshit excuse to her power all the damn time.....so its about time yall got a hint.

When she's invisible....she still moves grass....

Unintended designs have been implemented into games the past, combos in fighting games because they were both fun and challenging (wow fun and challenging I wonder if thats a way to describe j-flicks)

Yes it is extremely counterable j-flicks only manage to counter "optimal" looping but have an extremely small hitbox and area which they actually cover since blights rush only has 3 hitboxes, one large hitbox right at the start of the attack that you can't use when j-flicking, one small hitbox which is held for a long time that literally can only hit something inside you, and on medium hitbox that can hit a little bit in front of you right at the end, if you abuse the fact that the middle and end of a j-flick has little to no hitbox you just treat it like oni when his flick was reduced to 30° and you know the area which you have to dodge or first play around bump logic then play around j-flicks by looping more widely or dodging out to the side or behind the blight as the small hitboxes make it easy.

They still need to fix console blight sensitivity, this is still a pc game on its original platform if we limit design space because devs still don't have keyboard and mouse support on the horizon, blight can't even manage more than 45° on console and has been that way since the chapter release, they still even need to fix his default but I don't here anyone calling for that to be addressed

Stop.....you're asking players in Dead by Daylight (Survivors no less) to utilize skill.....you're asking for too much already. Stop it.

Surveillance has been going downwards since they fixed the "bug" that causes it to show fully regress gens as white. I miss that version of surveillance so much, it just wasn't the same for me since.

Wasn't a bug, was a feature, then they nerfed the perk to not do that for no real reason. Now its completely borked.

Do they change height of licensed characters? There is a difference between not giving a Killer an explosive firearm and shrinking a Killer by two feet.

That would be a weird ass license to sign off on not gonna lie, cause technically is it even using the same likeness anymore? I can just imagine some weird legal mumbo jumbo where proportions matter.

  • Why not just get pennywise then? I mean thats been a goal of theirs for a while now.

So the only difference between iron grasp and agitation is the reduced struggle?

Cmon man...you gotta use your killer big brain. We're better than survivors because of this....

Iron Grasp+Agitation+MAD GRIT!!!! <---Its a meme build but it can definitely be pretty funny.

I feel like that's a semi fair comparision. Some loops they can be similar. As far as their speed boost goes. Wraith has better mobility. Pig has better slow down built in..I have 0 clue what pig adds on are. But all seeing spirit - Let's you see gen progression and let's you know where to be and never without chase. And swift hunt just makes you be able to appear and get a hit faster.

A lot of these features can be simulated with other killers using different perks. Minus the sprint out of stealth. In which case just add a mobility killer in that slot and maybe do it a bit better. Like a Surveillance style Nurse would be just as effective. Maybe a bit more since you can port straight through walls.

Sorry i messed up my wording of it the survivor one was completely different toward the taking the game hostage but 3 gen'ing and the exit gates both spawning together can be ways the killer can take the game hostage

Thats not what taking the game hostage is. Taking the game hostage is reportable. It involves things like body blocking indefinitely, among other things. They've gotten rid of most of the ways you can actually take the game hostage especially with the introduction of the end game. Thats not the same as a 3 gen set up, or 2 exit gates on the same side of the map. Thats not a hostage situation, you can play around both of those things.

I think you underestimate the impact killing a survivor after 1 hook state has (old Mori, not the new ones).

We're not talking about old mori's though.

  • @NovaliumTS said:

    I simply dont get how keys are strong in any way, first lets show the obvious points;

Keys are only able to be used near end game e.g. if 4 are alive all gens need to be complete, 3 alive 4 gens need completion ect..

Killers can see the key and either bring franklins or simply as most killers like to do, tunnel them out of the match.

And with the new update the hatch stays open for 10 seconds.

Also the hatch takes time to actually be found before survivors can even think about using the key.

Now lets look at mori's. (ebony to be more specific)

They are able to kill survivors now near the end of the match. (making them equal to keys in terms of when they can be used)

Survivors dont know the killer brought a mori until the match has already begun.

Mori's can be used anytime anywhere as long as the survivor has been hooked twice

So what exactly makes keys soo much more OP then moris as at the moment they both look equally balanced

P.s. im excluding swf from this because in all honesty toxic swf are everyones bane of their existence whether or not they have a key..

Mori's and Keys are a false equivalence. The only thing Mori's do now adays is save you a hook trip....thats literally it. Keys are a lot worse than a skipped hook trip and a however long it takes to mori someone (which in some cases its faster to just pick them up and hook them).

A key lets you just straight up skip end game or a gen. During a point where the killer could have gotten more kills. A mori though.....if you're at the stage where you can get mori'd which is your last hook anyway....you're already dead.....And don't come in here talking about DS as if its standard....its not....if you're at mori phase....you're already....dead....

I went up against a twin user today who slugged to an extreme level. She slugged everyone before she started hooking. Like she took a nea down first and she just began slugged everyone, and we were trying to pick up only to keep getting slugged. downed by victor. It's only till we all got downed did she finally started hooking, 2 people died on the floor. It's a very boring style for me and other people who play this game have said the same thing. And that is why a lot of people do not like to play vs the twins, because of that playstyle that some twin users like play, not fun.

Cause its the only thing that stupid killer is useful for. Especially after nerfs.

First off I shouldn’t need a perk to see how many totem are left, that should just be a counter that is always there. Secondly there is no room for small game or detectives in my build. I have a specific build I go for my specific play style and small game/detectives don’t give me enough to warrant replacing one of my perks. I run perk to change my playstyle to have more fun with the game, I should have to run one specific perk every game because a killer could be running an op unfair perk.

Then enjoy losing....I run Franklins against item heavy teams, and change up the way I play constantly. If you only play 1 build....then you should be prepared to lose the same way over and over again playing that build. Its like running a stealth build, and then being mad when you lose to a chase because you didn't have the right tools. But again hey, you did exactly what I figured you were going to do and make up pretty much the excuse I was expecting. So.....easy prey is easy prey....have a good day.

thats over 3 minutes of not doing generators or helping teammates. dealing with noed is probably the better solution, and that is saying something. theres more bad arguments in here than i care to point out

BTW, do you know how slim the chances of us getting matched together are?

Doesn't matter, theres 4 survivors in a game. As long as people keep playing like you in low ranks, I'll keep winning. And it won't even be due to NoED. It'll be because of some other hex perk thats just as effective, or some other mechanic thats just as effective. Even more so if survivors keep coming up with excuses as to not do an objective. As survivor sided as this game is, players who play like you actually help keep it balanced. NoED is only 1 guaranteed kill at the end of a match....and honestly....in the amount of time it takes to activate....if you need it to activate you've already lost the match. On the same token....we have survivors like the OP who get wiped by it. Mostly because survivors are always goofin ass around the map not doing anything....

Up until Red Ranks....I never see survivors cumulatively doing objectives.....NEVER.... You always have 1 guy who gets caught out. One guy who's off by himself....digging through a toolbox while there is a clear and present threat to the completion of the game. One guy who's setting up to get the hook save. And one guy who's STILL CONTEMPLATING WHICH GEN HE SHOULD START DOING AFTER HE'S PASSED AT LEAST 3! With teams like that you were gonna lose with or without NoED due to stupidity alone. Again, against a competent set of SoloQ red rank survivors NoED is a joke, and only guarantees you 1 hook after it procs. Which tells me, that if it has become a threat by that time as in enough to get a 4k it doesn't matter. Your team was gonna get wiped regardless. 3 Minutes of cleansing Totems, plus 6 minutes of doing all 5 generators ASSUMING YOU'RE THE ONLY SURVIVOR EVEN PLAYING.

If you split that up between 4 survivors, and you're all ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING, thats 100 seconds of generator repairs each, and 45 seconds of Totem time each. Thats 2 and a half minutes roughly of doing objectives EACH SURVIVOR PER GAME WITHOUT INCLUDING TOOLBOXES OR ANY GEN RUSH PERKS......

Again....if your team can't afford that kind of time per player, you were gonna lose anyway because of the Jake running around in circles or the Neon colored Feng Min choosing to just not hide....giving the killer one less idiot on the field to deal with making all the other survivors jobs harder.

What gets me about survivors....is the fact that a lot of them think they're doing it right.....when they usually just set themselves up for failure. Like I don't even know why I play killer, survivors do the best job of killing themselves without my help. Up until Red Ranks where they actually grow brains.....

Hi! Just wanted to hear some opinions on the possibility of John Kramer getting added as a legendary skin for pig. I’m just a huge Saw fan and this is a dream of mine. It doesn’t seem too out of reach, rewatching the scene where he cuts Tapps throat made me really think about this.

John wouldn't be able to do it. Hoffman would be a possibility though since he did perform as a pig. John would just be.......no.....

you know for sure that its highly unrealistic to expect all 5 totems to be cleansed. youre not even gonna make it to the end game if you play like that. thats like a minute of only cleansing totems and going for saves or doing generators. not to mention how long it takes to find all of the totems and get to them. small game isnt really meant to prevent noed, its there to get rid of mid game hexes. also 15 out of 20 games have noed? i have like 2 noeds in 15 games.

I'm terrible at survivor...like completely trash. But I've been running small game even before the buff and never had an issue with any totems let alone NoED. So what I wanna know is....how can a terrible survivor like myself handle it.....but you can't? Also mind you....I ONLY DO SOLO Q. So while you can sit up and say, "Well, its not meant to stop NoED" (which it is btw) Theres still an entire slew of other hexes it can counter as well. Again, just because YOU choose to fail doesn't make something too strong. YOU just chose to fail. You get 4 perk slots to put into your kit as a survivor plus an item....if you can't run builds that set you up for success and to be prepared for the situations you're weak against then its your fault. If you don't know all the hex spawns, carry something that will help you. If you don't like wasting your own stash of items, get a perk that will show you chests, if you don't like being downed right after a hook, carry DS, if you're constantly making saves within the terror radius of a killer bring Borrowed Time, if you can't rely on your team mates to heal you, bring a med kit or self care, if you constantly find yourself healing team mates, bring botany. If you constantly find yourself with team mates that don't have communication or you're always ending up on the first hook, bring Dark Sense or Kindred. Like theres soooo many tools you can use. You choosing not to use them but instead complain is nothing but your own fault when you fail.

So, same thing I said to the OP....don't listen to any advice I just gave, as a killer main I prefer you to fail......Easy prey, is easy prey.

1 … 12 13 14 15 16 … 30
