and The Trickster because....he just doesn't fit.....no idea why the entity pulled in some run of the mill 3 o clock news killer and a Kpop Artist of all people......Both of them.....Traysh.

You are absolutely right, but my point was that different things would be expected from Mr X and Nemesis.

Mr X walks around and pummels people during most the R.E game experience and that is wat would be expected if he were a killer in DBD; kind of similar to what most killers in DBD do.

Whereas Nemesis generally has weapons/tentacle whip when he was encountered in the R.E games.

I doubt they are going to innovate so heavily when Mr X already fits the mold of the DBD experience.

I'm just hoping it isn't Wesker or "Generic Zombie A"

Im not too up to date on the resident evil canon, but yeah i know their of the same source kind of.

Tyrant though has no 1) rocket launcher 2) tentacle whips when he was initially introduced, unlike Nemesis.

    I don't think you understand.

Tyrants are a class, not a specific monster.

There are multiple multiple tyrant class mutations. Mr X is a Tyrant, Nemesis is a Tyrant, Tyrant R, the T-103, the T-002, Thanatos and the one you're probably referencing was model T-001. All of the tyrants have the same traits. Massive growth hormone, tentacle manipulation, regeneration, and vague intelligence depending on the experiment.

    For point of reference. https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Tyrant

Plus if they go with Tyrants, they can have all of those different mutations as skins....which=MONEY

Dev's can you please fix this issue it's so dumb. I've had it happen a lot to me. Pig gets her trap on me. I get off hook to find a box and the pig comes to my box. Proceeds to chase me, but then. crouches and follows me so my time will start to tick. There is absolutely nothing you can do about this besides hold w and wait for death. It is the most boring thing I have ever played against and needs to be changed.

If a pig is willing to waste 2 minutes for that...you guys should already be out of the match. Just continue doing boxes and get the trap off. If you know she's wasting time by crouching just open the box in her face, if she tries to pick you up off of the box it stops the timer.....

So....moral of the story....do the box anyway. Once she knocks you down the timer stops and she has to either hook you or go about the game normally.

You gotta use your brain when presented with stuff like that....just...relax....and do the box.

I highly doubt they would choose a Hunter when Tyrant and Nemesis are more anticipated and overall scarier.

Pretty sure itll be Tyrant as Nemesis is just too strong with his rocket launcher and tentacles.

Don't get me wrong though... Nemesis would be the best pick BY FAR if they do go with him. A 1 shot AOE rocket launch attack, and a tentacle whip would really bring more variation to the game and add in a scary killer.

But most likely they will go with Tyrant and some kind of rush attack; around pyramid heads power level.

You do realize Nemesis is also a Tyrant?

  • Its gotta be Nemesis or its not a true representation of Resident Evil. Nemesis and Mr X are by far the most iconic villains in RE. And both are interchangable with just....a skin since Nemesis, Mr X and Berkin are all just Tyrant projects. Anybody else would just be.....weird.

So the new killer will likely be called

    "THE TYRANT"

And have skins of Mr X, Berkin, and Nemesis. <----Since they are all Tyrant class mutations.

Undying did way too many things for what it cost.

It allowed an extremely strong gen regression to persist for typically a lengthy amount of time throughout the trail, had added game delay from survivors having to search for and cleanse totems, while also giving aura reveal if anyone even passed by the radius of totem. In almost every scenario with the Ruin-Undying combination, the killer never really saw any downsides to using the perk. The only real situation where it did have some downside was when it was cleansed in like 2 seconds. But even then, that was relatively uncommon. It almost always was doing something for the killer no matter how the survivors played. They cleansed totems, that's a win for you. They ignored totems, win for you. They go near totems, win for you.

The nerf it was given was warranted, and it isn't even a bad perk even post nerf. It was way too overbearing on certain killers and solos.

People cleansing totems in low ranks is uncommon....but for actual skilled survivors its not a mystery where the totem placement is in every map. It just lowers the skill cap of the game putting totems on the backburner again. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd love to see whats happened to the game population since simplifying the game so much over the past 2 years.

Hook someone in basement, camp, get someone else, camp...

And they say camping is okay for the game.

    Go Figure.

I'm actually surprised you survivors fell for it tbh..... I really hope these aren't rank 1 survivors, because if they are.....man....the overall skill level has really taken a bad turn.....

8 games in a row now, I've been tunneled straight off the hook for all 3 hook states till death. Slugged for 2 min in between despite me not having DS and most games not even having an obsession.

I've been trying to be nice and "not toxic" according to killers. Just running Bond, Kindred, WGLF, and We'll Make It. No items or offerings because I feel like they'd be wasted. But I guess I still get singled out for who knows what.

Give me the most toxic build you can think off. I'm sick of being nice just to get treated like dogshit.

    Dude.....you're a survivor.....

Nothing you run will ever stop the inevitable....you are going to die. You are going to be treated like trash (mostly from fellow survivors) and you are going to queue up again and again to die....and be treated like trash.

Try killer, at least that way you'll just be treated like trash and not die.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It was nerfed because it was statistically over powered; making games frustrating regardless. Everyone was using it because it was over powered.

Too strong = Everyone uses it.

Self care, everyone uses it (for some reason) = Not strong at all.

    Statistically overpowered?

You ever stop to think, that maybe it was used so heavily because gen times keep getting faster? Couldn't possibly be the one thing complained about from killer side for at least 3 or 4 releases now.....that would be too obvious. If killers didn't have to worry as much about gen times they would run more flexible and variable builds.

But....this nerf won't solve anything. Instead it'll just have killers running even more slow down perks, while at the same time putting killers who rely on stuff like ruin or perks, get sucked out of queue. Then you'll have to deal with Nurse and Spirit and hillbilly every game like it was like a year ago.

  • @Zixology said:

If "overused" was the reason, then I'd be asking about perks like BBQ, NOED, Stridor, Dead Hard, Self Care (yes, there's still loads of people using it), and Borrowed Time. Those perks are far more overused than Iron Will and Spine Chill.

Undying got nerfed because it was OP as hell. You wanna complain about second chance perks? Undying gave you 3rd, 4th, and 5th chances.

Ehhh....not really....the cost of using undying+ a hex are 2 perks that could be deleted in seconds after starting the match. Hell, you could have someone find your undying, then you're screwed, as soon as they catch Ruin its over, you're running a 2 perk build.

Not surprised at the nerf though. Anything good, the devs will always eventually nerf to make the game easier and lower the skill requirement for the game. As if thats ever helped anything.....

  • @Bwsted said:

They were nerfed because cleansing Ruin 4 times wasn't the goal. Read the dev's notes.

I think the suggestions he brings up are quite interesting as they not only make the Trickster stronger, but also more interesting to play as and against as Survivors will have more choices for risk vs reward. Curious to hear what other people think and I'm posting this hear on here for the slim chance that maybe a dev sees and considers some of these.

his solution is to make him more convoluted than he already is?

    • You'll lose a chunk of the bar each time you miss a skill check.
    • Assuming you hit every skill check (which is fairly easy), the time is completely unchanged (60 seconds)
    • It'll get slightly smaller each time, but they'll always be fairly large. The goal isn't to make struggling harder or make you get sacrificed faster, it's just to make it easier on your fingers (and buttons).
    • At the moment, there's no plan to change the cage skill checks.
    • Perks and powers that affect skill checks do not affect hook skill checks (much like Jigsaw Boxes).

    For me Trickster honestly.

Why? Because he's the most 'normal'. Just a 'normal' human that loves murder. He's not a monster or some 'super human'. And that scares me more than any monster, creature, or super human could.

Not even the people that love him (his fans) are safe.

Thats why I would never be afraid of Trickster....because he is normal. He's who cops respond to on a normal basis. He's who our military shoots at on a regular basis. He's who ends up getting beat up because he was "caught lackin". You can shoot him, you can kick him in the balls, you can gouge his eyes, you can throw hot oil at him, you can out run him, you can over power him, you can lie to him, and you can trick him...... Because he's normal.....because he's just a normal ass, basic ass, will die from the most fragile things in the world like choking on water. He just so happens to love killing things. Big deal.....I've known dozens of people like that and they're all killing things legally in some foreign country full of people who also like killing things. And any of these tough guys in the penitentiary or overseas with a grenade strapped to their belt or serving in law enforcement having to kill people who love killing, would all bend their knees at the Nurse or the Spirit or Hag. You can't shoot spirit, you can't stab hag, you can't kick or punch spirit <---Nothing a normal human can do will stop these ghosts. And thats the biggest fear "Normal" humans could ever have. When something is after you, and you're completely powerless to do anything about it and no tools you could ever imagine can even stop it because it ignores the very laws which hold your entire universe in tact. Every other killer in this game can be shot stabbed blunt forced or lifted off the ground. <--If thats all it takes to get rid of them, they aren't boogey men....they're humans.

Clown .. only because I literally have chlorophobia. Every time I go against the clown I honestly feel like quitting the match , then realise it will be a disappointing reason to do so, and may as well just not have the game installed. So I just bare through it now and the more I've played the prouder I get having dealing with this fear one step at a time?

I know this probably the most rediculous comment and will probably get laughed at for having that fear in the first place, but hey! Yunno it is what it is and I suppose nothing wrong with admitting being scared, despite how stupid it sounds.

Coulrophobia is actually more common than people think. Nothing to be ashamed of.

  • Nurse or Hag. Neither of them is really human, nor alive. And I dunno how many of you have tried punching a ghost but it doesn't work.....being powerless like that would weaken the knees of even the bravest navy seal.

Ghostface can stalk someone in 2 seconds without being able to be revealed with a corner peek, can 99% multiple people for insta downs. Can Shroud to remove his red stain at loops and doesn't move at 110 with no lunge for the first minute of the match.

He's better in every way, which sucks as I mained micheal when I first started. Survivors got better and he just isn't usable against anyone with a brain now.

Honestly if they were to update Michael in anyway without nerfing the ######### out of his kit. They'd remove the speed debuff.

On paper he's better but the second you go against any survivor worth their salt, all you'll have is the 99% stalk down.

No one is staying near him when he's EW3. They'll hold W and loop you until it runs out and you're back to a Trapless Trapper.

GF can click M2 and get a free hit on most LOS breaker loops, also. Micheal is at the mercy of the survivors looping skills.

"He's at the mercy of the loop"

Yeah.....so is every other M1 killer in the game....and I haven't seen any issue since infinites are gone.

  • People think she's the only killer that uses Stridor....

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

A killer with no proper counterplay and absurdly easy to win with if you simply have a decent head set or if you're running Stridor.

Never a fun match against a Spirit for me.

Fun fact....even without Stridor, killers don't need it to hear each and every breath a survivor takes. During phase even without stridor I can pick a cricket out of a wheat field because of the directional sound as well as your footsteps.

Stridor only works on groans and breathing.... <---these two things are damn near useless.

The main tell are your footsteps when you move through grass, I can also see the grass moving if its there.

If its a chase inside a building I can hear your steps, plus most of the time in a building survivors have no where to go except a door or a window, theres no mind gaming an indoor map for spirit, its just a "who can get to the door/window/pallet" first deal.

That being said @devs and BHVR can you guys please for the love of god, fix the sound in the game? I'm hearing what used to be AFK crows, play as the default sound for crows. I'm hearing my own killer footsteps either to the side of me or behind me randomly. I'm hearing crows go off but no birds fly out, tons of times where theres no generator sound playing from repairs, and no audio adjustments for walls.....<----Why am I hearing a survivor sound play from the direction of a wall, when they're standing a full 1 floor above me? Like.....Fix the directional sound it has so many issues this patch and last patch.....

They are legit strategies but they should balance the killers so those strategies are less effective or appealing so killers can do other things. Ironically I believe that's the issue in most cases is that the killer feels that's how they will win is by playing a unfun strategy.

Its not an optimal strategy, but a lot of new killers, and even some old killers who know what it does to newer survivors use it because well.....

A lot of survivors have no idea what to do during a face camp and no idea how to avoid being tunneled, and have no idea how to help their team mates avoid being tunneled.....

^ Mostly because none of these player made rules actually exist in the game.

People dont care about killers, everyone wanting balanced game but devs are not doing that sadly.

"People don't care about killers" For many of us...Killer is the only reason we play this game. All the survivors are just skins. Theres no mechanic change with any of them. So the only actual "UPDATE" that this game ever gets are the killers....

The next team took the full brunt of it. They had a key, toolbox + bnp, and map offering so I wouldn't feel too bad.

I need to stress though that it wasn't tilt from this game that did it, it's tilt from 90% of games this week. Everygame is like this, just toxic shits everygame who are only playing DBD to annoy and frustrate other people. Again, this is why nobody wants to play killer.

But I discovered that they don't seem to like it when you facecamp and repeatedly hit them on hook. At least now when I get abuse post game I can understand why.

Yeah yeah I'm continuing the circle but I really couldn't care less anymore. This is the worst community I've ever seen and it's actually enjoyable playing like a piece of ######### to all of these toxic survivors. That feeling when it's click click, tbag tbag.....and then the disconnect when they get toxic back :)

I feel sad for both sides tbh, the survivor who unknowingly got smashed the hell up after that game, and the killers who had to endure a BS match before they had enough.

Its a toxic cycle, but, just a strange side note. Its also the same cycle that breeds actual mass killers. People get abused, they finally snap when they've had enough, and take it out on everybody, because theres no way to find that same group of people that abused you or pay them back.

After playing this game for a while, you get to know peoples heads and how they work, able to predict 1 step to the next.

I say, if you wanna have a calm relaxing time with this game, use that experience, study the survivors, the way their brain works, their expectations. And don't spend your energy on killing them. Relax....and let their own human psychology kill themselves. Their own altruism, their own desperation, their own arrogance, all of those negative human qualities that people have in the back of their pocket. And use this game to exploit those things. At the end of the match you kill 3 to 4 of them....and they have nothing to be angry with but themselves.

It takes a while to get to that point, but if I can do it, anybody can do it. Look at their skins, look at their chase habits, remember the perks they may be using, analyze how they respond when you have the advantage, look for weak links in the team, look for overly heroic team mates....<---prediction, prediction, prediction. And by all means, when you ruin one of their techniques, or plans....RELISH in it....you can't hear what they're saying you have no idea how they actually responded...but just imagine how they would. You ruin a body block, think to yourself how they must be feeling, and how those emotions will get them to make yet another mistake. Use what you know to formulate a plan....use what you don't know to predict how people feel, and use the combination of both to manipulate people into dying. Not your fault if they just run into your baseball bat. Right? BECOME, THE KILLER!

    • Try to practise Nurse who I was never amazing with, but very rusty now
    • Get Midwich which is a hard map to get used to
    • Full swf
    • Get 4 bbq tokens, fresh hook everytime
    • Chase a survivor at the end but get cucked by adrenaline
    • Manage to hit this survivor as they close in on the exit gates, the other 3 of them at the exit gates tbagging me despite me playing "fair". Left every hook immediately and never hooked the same person twice
    • Actually managed to get the injured survivor down at the exit gates
    • SWF run to "heal tech" (another fun exploit....err I mean mechanic, totally doesn't need fixing btw )
    • Manage to pick them up and somehow miraculously hook them despite the swf trying to bodyblock
    • Trade a few hooks at the end as the swf swarm it and keep trying to bodyblock
    • They make it out, all 4 rapidly tbagging as hard as they could
    • Get heavily verbally abused post game, told ez and sworn at and called all sorts of names that would ironically get me banned from these forums if I was to repeat it (because the devs don't want to see it, but they've been perfectly fine with you getting the abuse)

You see how this must be for new players? you see how "playing fair" doesn't make a damn bit of difference? you see how there's literally no point to caring when survivors cry when you camp them?

I don't even know why I'm saying this I'm sure you've all seen it. It's a shame the development studio is too apathetic towards their own game to actually fix anything (because they don't play it, they don't experience this, therefore they could not care less) regarding the experience and then they just wonder why survivors are constantly crying about queue times - here's a hint, the queue time problems are you own doing. I'm used to this trash but a lot of new players are completely put off by it.

Yeah...I feel sorry for new killers...I don't see them picking up the game for more than like 5 rounds and uninstalling....

I don't see ANY similarity to teletubbies in the screenshot above, it just looks like you dislike fnaf and are projecting your bias into a bad argument.

First off...FNAF was marketed to kids. Free copies to youtubers who stream mostly TO KIDS, it got a Teen rating because it was "scary", Nintendo gave it the go ahead, and the merch can be found in TODLER SIZES!!!!

I'm not arguing against it...I'm simply stating, the game has already jumped ship, we have santa elves, toy elephants, and now a kpop youtuber/normal ass person coming to the game. Theres no point in arguing against FNAF at this point....

Those things obviously don't count. And please ignore the fact that the Trickster is one of the few truly realistic killers of the bunch, because mass-murdering psychopaths don't wear scary masks and try to "act creepy". They make you drop your guard first and then kill you in horrible ways.

If people wanted a realism based killing game they'd go play Modern Warfare....

  • I know....and its annoying as hell. Which is why I'm not even fully against FNAF because at least it tries to have a scary theme. The other garbage they add just swerves the game into full on joke territory. Which its funny the first "FEW" times...but if it keeps happening it gets kinda stupid.

Otherwise, I'd personally rather see more classics like Chucky, Jason, Pinhead, IT, Alien, Predator and such before delving into the indie scene.

These companies that own the rights to those franchises aren't going to give them licenses LOL They'd take one look at some of the goofy ######### BHVR has already added to the game and back out because it would ruin their Brand. Especially Chucky, Jason, IT, and Pinhead....no way in hell they'd tarnish their franchise with the joke content in this game...All of those franchises could produce a shaky cam film with trash budget on netflix and make back a thousand times more than they would with this game.

The fnaf community would not make this game anymore toxic tbh we already have that covered

Fnaf is one of the most popular horror games/franchises in recent years so I think it deserves a spot amongst the licenced cast

I'm actually disgusted at this Kpop fake killer wannabe scary but actually just looks like a random youtuber with blood splatter....really just some guy wearing normal clothes character.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE....the idea of FNAF in DBD because its essentialy giving an OK to meme the games thematics. Just turning it into one big joke. A joke that they can afford because there isn't much for competition....RIGHT NOW anyway. But if I had to deal with a cheese ass meme I'd rather deal with FNAF than what we currently got out of this pop star meme.....

Elephant clown is the scariest clown along with Santa clown

Theres also an incredibly large population of people that are spooked out by mascots. For the sake of reality though, mascots get used in horror scenes far more than "pop stars" simply because the concept just doesn't resonate spook factor with people. I mean theres a reason you don't see it much in movies.....

Ok, we also have "teenager in a smiley face mask" and "tall man in a mechanics jumpsuit holding a kitchen utensil" and lets not forget the scariest of all.. "woman in pigs head mask" oooh very scary. Right? RIGHT!?

    Like, cmon man. Really.

1.6 billion people on the planet have some kind of fear of clowns or Coulrophobia whether it be major or small uneasiness....I'd say clowns are near up there with spiders for some people. Just because YOU aren't afraid of it doesn't mean it isn't an issue for a pretty substantial portion of other people.

I find none of the said killers "scary".

Apart from the cheap jump scare Myers or ghost face give me sometimes. But i haven't had those in a loooong time.

And you read his lore and he is like a normal person to you?

Yeah but at least the killers in the game "TRY" to be creepy.....

This guy just woke up in the wrong game....he should be a league of legends character.

And before killers come at me, read what I say. Y’all are already OP by being faster, and then blocking my perks as well. If a survivor could individually block a killers perk, they’d throw a fit. So a killer blocking my spine chill, dark sense, and empathy is a bit muchhh?! Killers don’t @ me, survivors what do you think? And killers don’t go acting like survivors giving your two cents from a survivor perspective

Which is why you don't individually block a perk.....you do it as a group....

Yeah it’s so much better for them to break the game every 2 months, leave us hanging for weeks, and then fix it only to break the game again a month later

    Devs gotta eat man....

Why does this perk exist, it gives scummy survivors a way to rat you out to the killer iv had multiple times when survivor will look for me so I can't escape or do gens as last 2 thanks to bond and because of it killer will leave that person to kill me and most times give that survivor the hatch or let them go through the gate, its so bs and just down right disgusting perk.

Should have counter perk available so u don't have to deal with this it frustrating

It should be removed or allow teammates the ability not to be read by these trashy teammates who only fun in game is to ruin others.

Has anyone else experience this and if so how do you deal with this?

    Sad....

I've said it before and I'll say it again....survivors are the best killers in this game.....

yeah and stridor makes her able to hears where you're even when using iron will how that should happen ? she knows where you're and survivor doesnt know where she is.

one got info from your scratch mark and sounds while the other doesnt have any info

Thats a good point, which has more to do with the power of stridor vs iron will than anything to do with spirit. Which to be honest, all they have to do is make iron will remove your crying sounds by 100% NO MATTER WHAT....problem solved.....

Pretty much title. Snare Freddy is pretty similar to the clown power wise on loops. Plus his other abilities.

Why the hell would you want to make his base kit stronger?!?!?

You know, I don't really go against any good Spirits, so I'm not sure how valid my opinion is. Most rank 1 Spirits I go against seem to be rank 1 from another killer and new to Spirit. So take my opinion with a grain of salt- I'd probably feel differently if I actually went against good rank 1 Spirit players with good headphones and Stridor ahaha

Anyways, I don't really mind her stand still mindgames at most loops- UNLESS she has Stridor. Stridor, in my opinion, is what makes Spirit the monster she can be.

Spirit's main counter perks are Iron Will, Spinechill, and to some degree- Fixated. Spinechill helps shut down her stand still mindgames (since you will most likely see it flicker if she isn't actually standing there as she appears to be). And Iron Will gives you a little more power to mind game her back if you are able to break line of sight once you KNOW or even just guess that she is phasing. So those two perks together are really good at countering her to some degree, and just happen to be what your local Walmart Blendette may be running regardless.

But unfortunately, Stridor completely shuts down Iron Will. In most other killers, that's whatever, I don't think it's entirely unfair to have a counter to a survivor perk. But on Spirit? It just feels like it shuts down your ability to counterplay something that can already be difficult to counterplay. Even if you come into the trial technically prepared to face Spirit, you aren't really prepared, because your perk is now completely useless against the killer who already is making the most use out of sounds out of any killer in the game.

If I were to change anything, it wouldn't really be to give the survivor more information on when she is phasing, but to perhaps lower Spirit's audio levels when she is phasing and only when she is phasing. Maybe just around 50%- that way, if the survivor didn't get lucky by bringing Iron Will, you're still hearing them. And if they did? If you have Stridor, you're also still hearing them, but at slightly lowered volume than now. Spirit would still be good, just wouldn't have completely and utterly free information on what they were doing without putting more work into listening.

Her mind games are a big part of what makes her good. The ability to hear perfectly well while phasing is what makes her TOO good, imo. Idk tho, like I said, I haven't gone against any crazy good Spirits. The most unenjoyable Spirit games have been against the ones who had Stridor, though, LMAO

You're not gonna convince noob survivors to play non meta perks like spine chill.....this is an uphill battle to rip sprint burst, DS, BT, and Adrenaline crutches I'm sorry but....not gonna happen. Fixated?!?? HAHAHA yeah no its not sprint burst they aren't gonna use it. No BS I never even see Iron will used in matches...like...once in 10 matches I might see a survivor with it....

"faking a phase isn't a mindgame because survivors are given zero information on when you are phasing."

Because that would mean they are playing against Spirit incorrectly. Looking for information to react to as survivor is how you play against other killers.

Against Spirit you force her to react to you.

If someone is trying to react to Spirit they do not understand how to play against Spirit. You should be proactive, not reactive.

Its the same reason people can't juke nurse tbh and then go on crying about how OP she is. I swear....why are survivors getting progressively worse at this game.....

  • @goat_mom_forever said:

... cuz I think we can all agree. standing still takes no skill

If we take out that mind game we simultaneously keep her a very strong killer, and make her take more skill

If you fall for that mind game you deserve to get knocked out....

    "standing still takes no skill"

Yeah so does running INTO THE DIRECTION OF THE KILLER WHICH MAKES NOOOO SENSE!

Its the dumbest mind game in this game and people are still stupid enough to think that somehow....the result is going to be different if they repeat the same mistakes....

Its an easy mind game.....if you see her STANDING IN FRONT OF A PALLET NOT MOVING....KEEP RUNNING....DO NOT RUN INTO HER.
