The weekly shrine already exists lol, they're not losing anything from people earning perks, and now you're completely spacing the concept of killers, survivors I know are purely cosmetic, but killers they're all unique yknow? you suddenly start maining one killer during the rotation, get really good with him, oh wow I really like this killer, *rotation switches* aw man I really liked him, I'll buy him to keep him, perks don't mean a damn
Perks are the reason I bought the majority of killers (Artist, blight, slinger, pinhead, plague, legion, Myers, Trickster and Ghostface)
If I knew I could just wait for a rotation I wouldn’t have bought any of them thus losing BHVR a ton of money
-
Let’s say they did a weekly rotation. That would be enough time to get all 3 teachable thus losing BHVR money
Best course of action is to bring splinters back as a way to test killers before buying them without perks or add ons
-
Legion and Wraith are great for BP gains
-
Self care is probably the biggest noob trap in gaming history. Why make it more of a noob trap because it was used too much?
-
Because no one will want to run it in solo queue anymore thus the camping issue persists
-
Body too short
-
Artist slightly edges her out imo but spirit beats her with add ons
-
What’s worse is that shattered hope was added to fix COH because boons as a whole are pretty weak. Just make the interesting boons weaker for no reason
-
Yeah old DBD had a lot more charm imo from the artstyle of the old maps, old animations to even the old survivor models (I still miss old Quentin)
-
Oni would be S if he had his old POV music.
-
It didn’t get nerfed on the killers it was needed for and still gives more safety on your first down. Basically a perfect change imo
-
Deathslinger’s sound design is done perfectly. The rickety sound of his chain and his laugh/stun noise are great
-
Either they can revert his changes or make him 115% speed. Especially now since he has a 32m TR
-
They literally used the term in the latest dev update
But I will continue to “Chase the same survivor because it is an advantageous strategy that will secure my victory”
-
The AA nerf sucks because it was nerfed because of nurse and nothing else. It’s funny though because after the nerf nurse is the only killer who can actually get value from it
-
With certain add ons and playstyle condemnation can be pretty brutal. Otherwise though trapper is still weaker especially VS good teams
-
With the change it got I would actually be fine with this. Means killers like blight or nurse couldn’t get too much value from it since they get quick downs anyway.
Also gives survivors a chance to seek out side objectives without it feeling like a huge waste of time
-
I tend to sacrifice myself if someone is learning a high skill killer such as billy or slinger and are clearly new to them.
Billy mains deserve the world

Boon chapter is survivor sided for sure.
Devs is survivor sided to 2020 - 2022.

So an update that only released survivor content is survivor sided?
I guess Pinhead, Bubba and Ghostface are all killer sided patches then

Ehh that might be it for some but I think for many of us it's that those perks would create huge lose/lose scenarios that 80% of the roster can't do anything about
A guy's unhooked when a gate is open and he has OTR/DS - He now has 2 health states to hold W to a gate and even if you down him, you eat a stun despite the fact the alternative is to let that survivor just leave.
Not all perks should have these 'disabled in endgame' conditions though, only perks designed to counter certain strats I.E Tunnelling. I think Reassurance and Kinship working in endgame for example is fine because they still need to be rescued and there is inherent risk there
Yeah endgame DS was BS and I’m glad they got rid of it. At this point though I see no point complaining about anti tunnel perks when neither are extremely strong
-
Honestly you’ve been pretty good at trolling lately. I’ll give it an 8/10
-
It’s the feeling of unfairness many killers get from second chance perks almost like you’ve been cheated out of a killer because someone brought a perk in instead of outskilling you.
Many killer players feel that as the “power role” they should naturally win most matches when it really shouldn’t be like that in practise
-
The point of rituals is for you to play both sides hence why you get killer ones
-
Killer queues are slightlily better now from my experience. Survivor is still a camp fest but the new perk reassurance will help a lot
-
They are called killers because they hunt and kill survivors. Thought that was obvious
-
What myth is there to debunk? They literally said they nerfed it because it was “Too oppressive on certain killers when used with LP and SS”
Now who is the only killer to consistently use both SS and LP in most matches? It’s clear they nerfed it because nurse made it too strong and it’s also clear that nurse holding back potentially strong and balanced perks from being released due to her design
Look I understand you like nurse but can we at least be realistic here?

Probably because it's hilarious that BHVR LISTENED to the concern of AA and SS on nurse being to strong. So they nerfed it. And now the narrative is "see !!! We can't have strong perks because of nurse !!!!"
It's just another way to complain about a pretty balance killer.
The problem is that AA couldn’t be buffed without it becoming oppressive on nurse. The perk is doomed to be weak due to her
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
Not surprising.
They should have made her blink hits a special attack instead of nerfing this perk.
BHVR just loves their bandaid fixes too much
Isn’t making her blinks special attacks just another band aid though? We’re keeping her ridiculous ability to ignore pallets and windows but completely removing her build variety to “Balance it”
Feels like all this would do is create 4 regression nurse builds which isn’t particularly fun either

At that point they're just useless perks. You just listed it's counter play. Get away from the area. AA would have to last a stupidly long time for it to be valuable on basically any other killer
But again thana and legion caused the thana nerf. I didn't see people wanting plague or legion nerfed. You pass it off as "thana is a poorly designed perk" You can make the argument that SS is as well.
Yes these perks are useless because the devs have to design them around nurse. AA isn't inherently poorly designed unlike thana however
I call than poorly designed because it’s a “win more” perk that has value you can even feel in most matches. It’s very similar in nature to dying light in how it only activated when survivors are likely not doing gens (except for legion and plague)
AA on the other hand is made to exposed potential sabo plays and give info on where to go after the hook. This is fine on most killers but on nurse the info can lead to an almost guaranteed chase after every hook.

Feel like they're just delaying the inevitable, they're gonna have to nerf her eventually
They’ll have to sooner or later. Nurse has been nerfed a huge amount but every time she creeps back up due to new options being added (That are balanced on the rest of the killer roster)
About time they actually fix her issues instead of slapping another bandaid on it like they have done in the past

It was awful and didn’t even need the nerf.
Yes and again the devs nerfed it because of nurse because they felt it was too strong on her. The point is that nurse is causing the devs a lot of hassle when it comes to perk balance
-
@SuzuKR said:
Imagine thinking pre-nerf AA was good. 2.5/3.5s fatigue/2.7s cooldown + 3s pickup = 22/26/22.8m a Survivor starting literally right beside the Killer can run away before the pickup even finishes. As in, out of the 20m.
Maybe it was maybe it wasn’t. Point is the perk was nerfed because of nurse and her absurd synergy with SS and LP

Slinger can use it pretty well. Even if nurse can use it better. But I understand people who want her nerfed using this to go "see !!!!! Nurse impacts the game. They nerf perks because of her !!!!!" When they just nerfed thana exclusively because of plague and legion.
Slinger can use SS well but not really AA since he lacks the mobility nurse has. He can’t quickly capitalise on the value and struggles if survivors hold W away from the downed person.
Thana has always been a pretty awfully designed perk even now. Perks like SS and AA are pretty good and balanced on everyone but nurse which leads to them getting unfairly nerfed because of her

While this is true, against every other Killer it made sense to heal. So you rarely had the full effect of Thana or even more than one or two Stacks for a longer period of time.
Plague and legion 100% get more value from thana. The point is that it was stilled used on some killers regardless which cannot be said for starstruck or especially AA

They didn't specify AA was too strong, they said it was too strong with LP and Starstruck. Wesker is miles better with Starstruck than Nurse because of his naturally bigger TR, which makes it harder to avoid comparer to Nurse
Wesker needs to be a 115% M1 killer to get SS value. Nurse can 1 shot you from a long distance through pallets and windows with SS
How is wesker the better user of it?

For the record, it does appear that at the very least Nurses add ons need to be looked at either way.
I used to main her but I have not played killer since before her big bug fix and I rarely play DBD now either. Though I saw a vid Hens333 made highlighting the issues with Nurse now and it seems her bug fix buffed her and made her far easier to play than she used to be. I still watch some DBD streamers and I see every second match is Nurse on some days... so I can understand people are getting tired of it.
The strongest and weakest killers will always influence perks to some extent too... just like SWF vs solo will
100% killers influence perk balance but it sucks seeing all these potentially balanced options thrown in the gutter because it’s too strong on nurse
It’s about time the devs got to the root of the issue and actually changed her significantly

Thana wasn't really used by everyone before, but it was at least a pretty decent pick for killers other than legion and plague. Now it's sadly completely useless on them, while being somewhat useful and strong on legion and plague. In my opinion it was a nerf done wrong.
Yeah it’s definitely legion and plague’s perk but it saw value on some others such as twins or Wraith. Now it’s just used on legion and plague
Same will happen here. Nerf AA because it’s too strong on nurse and make nurse the only killer who can use it
-
@BrokenSouI said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/342551/so-nurse-does-impact-perk-balance
Blah blah blah. Nowhere did they specifically say nurse.
Are you seriously suggesting that AA was nerfed due to a different killer? What other killer could AA be too strong on?
-
@HugTheHag said:
Yeah. It's the same as Thana being nerfed because of its effects on Plague and Legion.
Or the same as survivors being nerfed because of high tier swf, a minority in the players.
Some outliers do influence perk balance.
The thing with thana was that perk was actually being used by all killers after the buff. AA had no opportunity of being used on any killer but nurse and even then requires starstruck to be effective
This is a clear outlier that isn’t exclusive to AA
-
@MaTtRoSiTy said:
But this would be the case with the strongest killer regardless, maybe not for this perk but they will always have to take into account the impact any change will have on the strongest and weakest for that matter...
Obviously it has to be taken into account but when it’s a case of 1 of the 29 killers being too strong with a bunch of perks I think it’s time to evaluate that 1 killer as opposed to the perks
-
Reassurance is fine the way it is. I hope better than new and low profile get some buffs though
-
Probably not a rework but he definitely needs some changes. I’d like to see his base shock range increased and his detonation delay reduced a bit
-
I think 8 total bottles is too much personally. What I would do is give him 4 purple bottles and 1 yellow that has a 10 second Cooldown after use. This would allow clowns to use their antidote without eating into their tonic reserve and staying on the move more often
-
While these changes are nice we would just be adding more bandaid fixes to a power that is broken at its core. A rework is the only way to go imo
-
Nothing hence why I play clown

I don’t think people like coconutRTS are going through their 2000 iri heads any time soon
-
Honestly mikaela and trickster might be worse. Trickster is hated by a lot of the community yet BHVR keep giving him stuff and mikaela is already outpacing characters like Jeff and Adam despite being quite new
