Send a ticket here under Additional Player Report Information: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
You can either attach the video directly to the ticket, or if the file is too large, you can upload it to a video sharing site and send a link instead. Please be sure to report them in game as well though, as this will allow us to verify that the person you are reporting is the person in the video.

I'm not sure where you're seeing 15,000, unless you're comparing peak to off-peak numbers (or even peak to average), which would be silly. Steam even shows a peak of over 25,000 so far today. The player count is fairly normal. The 60,000 peak was right after a massive update- the biggest in the game's history- and during a free weekend to boot. Even if you're super optimistic, there's no way you can compete with free weekend numbers without it being another free weekend.
I am looking at the off-peak, because it's during the time that I can play. It affects me quite a bit, having 15 minute killer queues and all. I don't like being forced to play survivor.
With that being the case though, the off-peak number was never 60,000, it was not too different than what it is currently. The longer queue times are a result of the matchmaking system which should be seeing a complete overhaul soon, so you should start seeing shorter queues soon.

Making him faster than most killers would be a nice addition to him, perhaps even making him a decent killer
Because 115% was tested and was too much, so 120% would be bananas.
I do like the idea of making them 115% when charged, though. It would give the survivor some time to maintain the distance after the guaranteed hit.
Because legion is totally fine and viable as he is now?
I never said that, so I'm not sure why you assume I'm saying that. Just because they're weak doesn't mean that any buff is a good buff. With the way they're designed, it's very easy to go from weak to massively overpowered with a small change.

I just shoot down all rumours regardless of if they're true or not, because that way people don't get their hopes up for something that might not happen.Delfador said:@Peanits said:

I remember when you said that the rumor that the spirit will be released Tuesday 1 week before her actual release was pure speculation.
I would love to say definitely but I will go with most probably, further evidence and observation required.

Doing it to counter borrowed time is not bannable. They could just heal to counter that anyway.
Doing it to hold the game hostage is bannable. If you grab a video of it and send it to support, we'll take care of it. Remember to report it in game too. -
I'll just save you the trouble and say that nobody who knows if there's going to be winter event can say that there's going to be a winter event until it's officially announced. Keep an eye out, if there is one, you'll see it.
-
While true, they're all treated the same because someone could very easily fake it by pulling the plug to cheat the system. With that said, if there's a crash issue, we'd just exclude that period of time so people don't get banned because of a bug.EntityDispleased said:They said they can differentiate between an intentional DC and an unintentional one in case of your internet going out or your game crashing. -

A lot do. You might have even played with them without knowing it. Most have personally accounts that don't have BHVR in their names, others play on consoles. You might not get matched with them if you live half way across the world though.
Some even stream it in their spare time. McLean, Mathieu, not_Queen, etc.
Hell, I even stop into the official Discord server and play some SWF with people whenever I get the chance, though I'm more the community team than a dev. -

I don't think hag and wraith need their own updates. They're pretty good at this point, any other changes they might need would be small ones that you could roll into a mid-chapter patch. A dedicated Freddy update would be nice, though.
-
It's purely RNG. Your chance of getting it isn't higher than any other map, barring offerings people use to check it out. I haven't got it once yet.

But then you're boned if there's ever only one or two survivors up. If the killer hits both with deep wound, one of them is guaranteed to bleed out while the other gets chased.purebalance said:@Undying_Zombie said:

HelloDeep wound, in concept, is to create pressure and waste Survivors time, not to down survivors, similar to Reverse Bear Trap.
Thanks for the feedback.
It does not actually do that in practice though. It needs adjustments. That or the killer needs adjustments in other places to compensate for a power that does not do what its meant to do. As is the killer is way too slow for what he can do. It does not make sense at all that his base movement is 110. ( same as Hag and Huntress )
As is the way the power works currently is a bit buggy. As I know others have pointed out. The only way you guys can fix it is by making it be effected by terror radius instead. There is also almost no time wasted and no risk at all to mend. If its meant to waste time for the survivor it does not do a good job of it at all due to how fast you can do it. When doing it there is no threat as well since the timer stops. ( Something I do not think should happen with how the whole thing currently works. )
Of course this is my opinion from my experience with playing with and against Legion. ( As well as observation of other people playing ) A opinion I know that will be ignored of course.
You shouldn't be able to mend yourself. I'd even be ok if you could mend up to 75% and hold it there until someone finds you, but removing the ability to mend yourself would fix this killer 100%.
It's tricky. In theory, it would be great, but in practice it would be way too easy to spiral out of control.
-
That would be the least of my worries. If someone wants to sit in a locker all game to tell their friends roughly where I am, be my guest, that's one less person doing generators.
Tracking the killer is already fairly easy. The terror radius even helps you track them. The actual benefit of the perk is getting the killer's attention and wasting their time by moving when they come looking for you. -
Dance with me barely does anything without either Q&Q or lithe. To a lesser extent, perks like coulrophobia rely heavily on terror radius add-ons and distressing for best results. Same for spirit fury and enduring. It's nothing new, combining perks that compliment each other is what a build is.Tsulan said:

I do agree that OoO probably shouldn't do that, though I don't see any huge problem with it either. Keeping track of the killer is already fairly easy. The perk usually doesn't see much use, and when it does, it's to get the killer's attention and get them to waste their time searching an area for you.
BBQ is going to be even better now with Iron Maiden. Survivors who try to hide their aura will be exposed and have the location revealed anyways.
Regarding Freddy though, he's going to be reworked. This is not to nerf Freddy. -

They released a killer that fulfills every survivor mains dream of how a match should go:
He can't tunnel.
He has to constantly switch targets.
He's easy to loop.
He gives them a good chase without any real danger.Survivors love him/her/it
I wholeheartedly disagree with you.
He can easily tunnel and when he tunnels, there is literally nothing you can do.
He has to constantly switch targets but if he wants you in the end, he can actually hit others first and then tunnel you.
He is easy to loop if he doesn't use his power, most of them use their power and the chases are too boring since as a survivor there is literally nothing you can do.
Pallets and windows don't help you much, it is a matter of time before you going down. Your only hope is that your teammates finish the generators before you die. So, terrible chases with the very high chance of going down.
He is frustrating for both sides. I am sure that there are people who love playing as him and against him but at this moment, both survivors and killers are not happy with him.
Yeah, he can jump over pallets, then he tags the survivor. Who isn't downed. Even if he hits several times with his power, which is kinda hard to begin with. Since he gets his exhaustion animation.
Cool power! Don't down survivors. Just tag them, then go for the next one in the hope the tagged survivors don't mend.
Btw. @Peanits what is wrong with the notification system? 3 people answered me in this thread and I only got his notification.

It's a codename. All chapters are given a temporary name before they're properly named. You've probably seen others on dev streams when they show off clips from dev builds, where it'll say something like "Haiti" or something. There's not really anything else to it.

But going back to the original question, that killer would be in the wrong there because there's literally no basis to it. -
15 would be a little much. That means that even if you kick it carelessly and immediately leave, even knowing that survivors are nearby, you get 15 seconds of guaranteed regression. Not to mention that this would totally break the 3 gen strategy. There's no way you'd have a chance if there were three close generators that each took 15 seconds before you could fix them.KingB said:@Peanits what if the survivor only has to have an interaction say 15 seconds after the killer kicks it?
I would say maybe 2. Long enough that you can't tap it mid chase, short enough that the killer doesn't get free regression. -

Reporting works, but we don't have console bans yet. We're hoping to have them soon.
Can't hurt to report them in game though, it's still logged and we will be able to review them later. -
I'm not opposed to a short interaction, but I don't think that breaking a generator when there's still survivors there should be viable. You should have to make sure the area is clear first, not just kick it without checking and move on knowing that it'll regress a certain amount regardless.
-
I'm okay with starting traps being higher, but I don't really want them to spawn closer to the center. With the way it currently is, it's very easy to patrol the map as you set up traps. If I need to choose between getting my traps at the start of the game or applying pressure, that's a huge downgrade.

@Peanits, Don't you think people still need an option to express feelings of disagreement with a post? I agree people used the "Lol" in a childish manner, but I also think we on this forum are being treated a tad bit like children in this method of forced "positive only" reactions.
Perhaps you could change "vote up" and "lol" to a simple "agree" and "disagree". There's nothing disrespectful about disagreeing with someone else opinion, and it is 1000 times more respectful than laughing at them.
But hey that's just my 2 cents and I respect the moderator's decisions but at the same time, I have to respectfully disagree with this one.Cheers.
Yes. In a perfect world we'd have upvotes and downvotes- and originally there was. The problem was just that after a post got enough downvotes, it would be hidden, which basically silenced anyone with an unpopular opinion. So those had to go. The LOLs became the disagree thing, but then it kept being abused by people who would run a but to LOL spam someone, or just follow someone around and LOL every single one of their posts. Using the reaction on a post because you don't agree with it is fine, following the person around and harassing them by using that reaction of absolutely everything they do is not.
You can still show people that you disagree with them by making a post and explaining why. Others with the same feelings can upvote yours instead of the other to show how they feel as well. Hopefully that'll spark some more constructive conversations as well. We're going to see how this plays out for a while.
You are changing an entire forum community because of an extremely small minorities actions. This isn't logical and is quite a terrible reasoning behind these actions.
You did read the part about bots, yes? There were people who had their "LOL" count inflated by hundreds, sometimes thousands thanks to those bots.
This is an extreme minority and not common whatsoever. I did read it. How about we work on finding bots instead.
It was more common than you think. Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it didn't happen to multiple forumgoers.
Never said I was using myself as a sample. I'm active enough here to doubt its severity for the extent that has been taken.
See my post count? I'm active enough to know you're wrong about the severity.
You can be highly active without simply posting as you should be highly aware apparently. Posting a lot also doesn't equate to your level of observation, simply that you have a lot of opinions and like to type a lot. I think you are quite wrong.
And I know I'm not. I've seen the effect on many people's "LOL" count, including my own, which tripled (or even quadrupled) very quickly. One forumgoer in particular had his "LOL" count increased by over a thousand overnight.
I want to point out that you're doubting my observations over the course of several thousand posts, the observations of a majority of forumgoers, some of whom were affected by this, and the observations of the mods themselves, who can see stats that we don't have access to. Maybe you should defer to those who have more experience and more access to information than you.Or you know, maybe just a lot of people disagree with you? I know that can be hard to believe.
A thousand count "lol" is highly rare occurrence and having that happen even once is not the norm.
"Maybe you should defer to those who have more experience and more access to information than you." Based on the devs previous actions and "stats" that is a highly questionable statement and hardly a reliable resource.
No, that's not it. Sure, some are just people disagreeing, but the thing I'm talking about were about a dozen or so accounts all created from the same IP around the same time that would follow certain people around and mass LOL their posts. We see all that. I've had several people contact me privately to report that sort of thing. So while it may not have been talked about a lot publicly, it was a recurring issue and something that needed to be dealt with.
So with 5 million copies of the game sold and about 12 people who created extra accounts to do this activity we are going to remove the entire feature for all instead of simply taking action against those 12? To be clear, we're going to take action against and affect the entire DBD community for a .0000024% of the population? I fail to see how this is the logical action is any shape or form whatsoever.
I don't know why you throw 5 million copies being sold in there, that's totally irrelevant. All five million people that have bought the game aren't on the forums. There's closer to 35,000 people on the forums (not all active, just registered). That includes all the spam accounts created, of which we have banned a lot.
It's also not just 12, as mentioned, this was a recurring thing.
-
You technically can't. As you said, with fast vaults, you land a significant distance away from the window. At that point you are beyond the killer's reach. What's happening there is just latency. The killer (on their end) swung at a time when you were still in range. Fast vaults move you a big distance in a very short amount of time, so on your end, you can be totally in the clear, but just a fraction of a second before you were vulnerable. That fraction of a second is all it takes due to latency.
It's something that can't really go away. The only real solution is to remove latency, but the only way to do that is to physically have the two players move closer to each other in the real world. You can try to compensate for latency, but doing so will sway things one way or the other. Doing so would end up with killers often getting no registration on their hits because on the survivor's end they were already safe.

It would be a small deterrent for rating spam.
Personally though I'd be fine with the rating system going away aside from "Vote Up" as it doesn't really feel like the feature was really thought out.
Something like that would be nice, but it would take some time to get it implemented. Hopefully one day it'll return.

I'm sure there's a lot of things, unless you take two people from completely different sides of the spectrum. If you go to the extremes, you're going to have one side that'll tell you everything about killers is OP, while the other side will tell you that everything about survivors is OP.
In the middle, there's the people who can be reasonable and put bias aside to look at things objectively, and they will agree that some of their own stuff can be OP.
-
It's like that because you are not going to get away anyway. Even if you did theoretically get the 4% or you deliveranced off the hook, the killer could just as easily stand right there and down you again. There is no way to get endurance by unhooking yourself so you're basically as good as dead.
The way it currently it just speeds up the process. You don't have to wait for the survivor to attempt an escape, get immediately downed and then rehooked. It just ends the game so everyone can move on to the next one.
-
Simple answer: By the time that skill check pops up, they would have already escaped. The animation is less than a second long.
The ball is in your court. You have the freedom to go do generators instead. If the killer leaves the hatch to go kill you, you can take a hit and beat them back to it. If they don't, you can just keep powering generators and open a gate. They can't guard two gates and the hatch at the same time.

I'll be honest, I don't really think NOED needs a change. It's fine as is. Sure, it's powerful, but it also has counterplay. If the survivors only focus on generators and do not break totems, they're probably going to have issues with it. But if you take a little bit of time to cleanse totems as you see them, you can cause the perk to never activate in the first place. It's totally within your power as is to make sure it does nothing, effectively removing a perk slot from the killer.I do like the idea of having to earn DS, but I would probably want to see something other that altruistic actions as the requirement. Unhooks are already a requirement for deliverance, so having the two share the same requirement would probably make it too easy to get second chance (you'd basically get two second chances at once). Although that would also get rid of the possibility to eat the DS early and get it out of the way, so I'm torn.
What might be interesting is for the perk to activate once you've been unhooked and stay active for the next two minutes or so, so if the killer decides to tunnel you, you have a second chance. Still only usable once per match, but you can choose to use it after the first unhook or second. It would encourage the killer to go for someone else rather than tunneling you off the hook.
This is actually a very cool idea. Is this the new version of it?
I actually loved this one.
It's not, I'm just spitballing ideas here. But I do think it would have a positive effect on gameplay, and it would have counterplay. The killer could just not tunnel the obsession to pretty much completely avoid it.

>Meyers is able to benefit from it. If you limit yourself to EW1, you cant get it. That also means you're playing a stalk build. Why else would you not go EW2.Which is quite ridiculous that you cannot in EW1, as that litterally forces you to go to higher EWs, which is the equivalent of forcing you to play in a certain way. Furthermore, if being designed around stalking and having a low terror radius means you shouldn't have bloodlust, then for instance pig shouldn't be able to get it as she designed around stalking too. Not only is she designed around that but she also has a default 4.6m/s move speed and she can also charge so does she really need it? I don't think she does.
The pig, like Myers, also has two options. She can crouch around, or she can chase. Likewise, Myers can sneak around in EW1 and try to outsmart the survivors to get hits, or he can stalk to tier up and then chase. If you manage to get bloodlust while crouching after survivors, I don't know what you did right or what they did wrong, but you earned it.
There is a wrong way to play some killers. Just because something is an option doesn't mean it's going to be an optimal way to play. In the case of Myers, trying to brute force in EW1 is objectively the wrong way to play it. The strength of EW1 is his low terror radius, making it possible to sneak up on survivors and get a surprise hit. He is not meant to chase in this mode. If you do decide to follow through for a second hit, you're supposed to use LOS blockers to get closer and go for another surprise attack when the survivor feels like they've escaped. If you just want to chase, tier up.
There is something quite wrong with what you're saying there, just because some way of playing isn't the optimal way, shouldn't mean you should be forced to play the intended or optimal way to play it, which the decision to exclude bloodlust from EW1 exactly does, it specifically forces the killer to play in a certain way - the intended way. Every killer should have the option to play how they damn well please, whether it be optimal, intended, do an m1 bruteforce playstyle or a completely different way of playing.
You and I are going to have to agree to disagree there. I don't think you should be able to intentionally play something the wrong way and expect good results. I could play the nurse without blinking but that doesn't mean it's going to be good. If you choose not to use your power, you are handicapping yourself. In the case of Myers, you are not meant to chase people in EW1, which is why by design he moves slower and has next to no lunge.
I ain't going to stop you if that's how you want to play him, but it's like not using pallets or windows as a survivor and expecting everything to come up Milhouse. It's just not gonna' happen.

Yeah, we don't have a graveyard map, this game totally calls for one as well just because of what the game is. That sounds awesome, a monster creeping around with a lantern, they have no red stain because they have the lantern

Yup, Marta with her mumbling instead of a terror radius would also be nice, anything but a terror radius.
Butaaah...
@Peanits
Do devs take concept ideas from the forums or are we just arguing about noting? They keep an eye out. Most suggestions don't end up in game exactly like they're suggested, but there's been a bunch of suggestions that have made it in. Stuff like STBFL, for example.

Create a ticket under "Additional Player Report Information". Fill it out (please make sure all the fields are filled out correctly) and either attach your video, or if the video is too large, you can upload it to another site such as Youtube and paste a URL in the ticket.
Please make sure you report them in-game as well, or else we won't be able to do anything with it.

But dont forget to report the survivor always ingame, without an ingame report they cant do anything (for some reason)It's for verification purposes. That's what stops someone from framing someone else by having their buddy change their name to look like yours, doing something that would get them banned, and then reporting you for it. Or in the case of chat related things, it saves the chat log for us to review.

Carpemortum said:>Meyers is able to benefit from it. If you limit yourself to EW1, you cant get it. That also means you're playing a stalk build. Why else would you not go EW2.
Which is quite ridiculous that you cannot in EW1, as that litterally forces you to go to higher EWs, which is the equivalent of forcing you to play in a certain way.

The first one seems a little too random to be a good perk. 15% movement speed is bonkers. It means you'd be closing the distance twice as fast as normal (normally speed is 115% of a survivor's sprint speed). 15% action speed, on the other hand, it's anything to write home about. It's okay, but not a game changer. 15% more bloodpoints is pretty negligible compared to a perk like BBQ & Chili, which provides a bigger bonus (and applies post game, even). The biggest issue is just that you couldn't rely on it. If you had to drag someone all the way over to the basement (probably going to require agitation to do consistently), you wouldn't want it to just sometimes give you an effect like +15% bloodpoints. That wouldn't be worth your effort.
I'm not exactly sure how the third option would work. If it just applies the hindered effect to all survivors near the hook, I don't think it would have a noticeable effect. Yes, you would close the gap twice as fast while they are in that mist, but that mist goes away the second they're unhooked. More than anything, I just feel like this would be a camping perk. It wouldn't help you if you left the hook.
I think the second is the most reasonable option. It would still be pretty powerful and make the basement significantly more dangerous, and it would make it worth running agitation with it. My only concern is that it would sorta' promote tunneling the guy that just got unhooked, since it rules out We'll Make It. I also worry that this would have an effect too similar to Make Your Choice which already exposes the unhooker, giving you an easy down so long as you return to the basement quickly.
