Master said:I am always curious what it means when you talk about camping gens and I never got an answer when I asked, so I will try again
How do you camp event gens? camping means that you stay in one place, but there are multiple gens, so how is it possible to camp them?
One strat to camping event gens is finding three gens close together, run perks like overcharge, ruin and pgtw. Basically nullify any progress the survivors get on those event gens. Pretty scummy but some people like to just be #########.
I know, its called 3 gen strat and could also be called patrolling, but its never "camping"
And its always funny when you call people ######### just for doing the objective, same applies to genrushing
Full blown camping can happen on event gens. They usually park their ass on it because they know the other gens are worthless while that one isn’t on. In the end a regular gen is done, and everyone loses out. No event gen completed, killer completely botched the “kill” part of killer
Event gens are usually spread across the map. How does one Killer camp, say, 3 generators that are on different corners of the map?

because you tend to defend killers 24/7 so I just automatically thought you were trying saying that killers picked up those “bad habits” from survivors. Apologies, if you’re trying to mention something other than that.They did pick up those bad habits from Survivors. Anyone who's been here since the game launched can verify that toxicity overwhelmingly started on the Survivor side and spread to the Killer side like a cancer. That doesn't mean that Killers are innocent.

1st off don't be rude, 2nd, you need to learn how to word your sentences correctly, 3rd, Freddy is lowteir in killer ranking which is what I was referring to.It's a simple question. If English is not your native tongue, we could try conversing in whatever your native tongue is, assuming I can write in it.
My sentences are worded correctly. I wrote exactly what I meant. No more, no less. You're the one who started assuming that I meant something different.
You said, and I quote, "Freddy is the lowest tier which means he also takes the most skill to be good with m8." This is not what "low tier" means, by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, this is the complete opposite of "low tier". -
@PinkEricka said:
I did. Did you not say killers picked up those bad habits as well?I did, so why are you pretending I was saying Killers were innocent?
-
@TheDarkLycan said:
So your telling me that consistently winning matches with Freddy at rank 1 takes no skill?No, I'm telling you that what you believe "low-tier" means is wrong, and that anyone can get kills if the Survivors play dumb, which is what I wrote. Is English not your first language?

Is a cop not allowed to arrest you for stuff that happened before he joined the force, if there's an ongoing investigation?

@PinkEricka said:
Right, like killers don’t nod their head after they hook a survivor? I’m pretty sure it came from both sides so no need to act like killer mains are that innocent...Did you read past the first sentence? There's only two sentences in there, and one is six words long. Is that how long your attention span lasts?
-
@TheDarkLycan said:
So your telling me that Freddy doesn't take skill to play? If you can do well as Freddy, then you can do good as any killer. Freddy is the lowest tier which means he also takes the most skill to be good with m8.That's not what low-tier means, at all. Anyone can get any kills if the Survivors play like potatoes powering a "random action generator".

@ChraizE said:
That's a typical score for a face camper. You didn't "kill" anybody you just got a hook and camped until death that's not even playing the game properly you deserved far less to be honest. Killers like you really should consider not playing DBD (I mean that in the nicest way possible).Pretty sure he killed people. They're dead, right?

Please don't spank me.

I really want to enjoy this game. But so far it is the only game I've ever played that players seem to go out of their way when they win to message me and tell me how bad i suck. I get it. I'm trying out new killers and your SWF group with full toolboxes rolled me in like 3 min. Good for you? Seriously. Why do this?SWF and carrying toolboxes is NOT toxic. Telling you that you suck it is.
Simply ignore them, most probably are 14 yo ochido-wannabes kids.Did you even read the thread? The point is not the toolboxes; the point is the post-game harassment.
-
That's just the way Survivors are. Unfortunately, Killers picked up those bad habits as well.
-
Nope. Most of the time, I only check if it's SWF (to prepare accordingly) and then browse a few websites while waiting for the lobby to fill.

If you want streamers like this to go away, then support non-toxic ones.

Permanent hook breaking is not coming back, ever, unless you enjoy bleeding out on the floor for 4 minutes because there aren't any hooks left. Stop trying to make it seem OK to deprive the Killer of all but the basement hooks.

when the player playing the killer camps I go into the next game and take down the hooks when they come up again I take them down again , gives me points so I really don't care, ticks off the person playing the killer also , but hey if they wouldn't camp me I wouldn't take down the hooks . although I have been leaving the new ones for the barbecue alone just take down the regular ones , I mean dude they got the cellar you can't take them down so why do the killers get mad when you take down the hooks especially when they come back up sooner or later in the game , ya gotta admit some players take this game way, way to serious lol a lot to serious"This one person did something I don't like, so I was an ######### to the next random person of the same group"
10/10 logic. -

He'd get courteous responses if he were courteous in kind. Fact is, this has to be the third or fourth thread he's made about this "bug" and still does not acknowledge that it's because the bloodweb is random and that the developers are not to blame for his bad luck.

It's random. Say it with me now, random.

Just let the brazillian mafia play with him, those guys know plenty of ways to to torture people, while keeping them alive, so they can die in a very slow death.
All I'm saying is, if you want him to die, take into consideration the waste of resources.

A fifth perk slot for hex perks only would see them used a lot more often.

Happy to see that something is actually being done, just sad the threshold is so highWith the bugs that make it impossible for both Survivors and Killers to play a normal game (like getting stuck in terrain), I think it's reasonable to have it set at a high percentage for now.

There is no such thing as a toxic build.Just toxic people.
This is a good point. Though Killers usually say "toxic builds", it's only because the people who use those builds are often toxic themselves.

In DbD news, 50% of the Survivor population has been banned for disconnecting too many times.

I don't like being Iridescent Headed but it happens what can i do? It's a add-on that was given. Same for morisBlame people who use flashlights to be abusive towards the Killer.
Cue people saying it's perfectly normal to follow the Killer around the entire trial just to blind him at every opportunity, loop him for the entire trial, and that it's the Killer's fault in the first place.
-
@Vadim239 said:
Why not? At least breaking hooks will make sense.It still makes sense. If you don't think 3 minutes is a hell of a long time, I can only assume you've never played at high rank.
-
Why do people willfully doing things they know are against the rules believe everyone else is the problem? I'd like to figure out what passes for the thought pattern of such people.
-
It's 3 minutes at the moment, and takes 4 minutes for a Survivor to bleed out on the ground.
-
@pauloandrade22 said:
Why not instead of punishing DC make it more rewarding not to DC in the match.Like every 10 fully done (either 10 mins of gameplay or until everyone dies/escapes) you get 100000 K BP that get reset when YOU dc ( the tokens would stay the same if the killer DC's though for the survivors or if the killer does not connect in the loading screen for both)
And add a time penalty for like each token you DONT have you get a day with 25% or similar less BP gains. Until the days pass you'd get that plus you cant get more tokens no matter what.
What do you guys think?
Love it. That'd make it great for players who haven't played in a while as well.
-
@Vietfox said:
Funny you say that, cause i got a degree in history and my job is related to that (not only western history btw).
So no, i'm not ignoring that xD. But compare both situations and times is simply dumb (trying to be as respectful as i can right now) because they are not related at all.
"oh, people used to kill each other in the past, lets do something completely different and cry about petty things" it's not worse but it's not necessary either. Hope you get it now, but something tells me you won't (or won't be willing to understand at least)I get that they were different times, but to say that people now are "too sensitive" when it's objectively better than before is taking a massive ######### on centuries of progress. Unless you live in a shithole like the USA, your chances of being killed just because someone's upset about something you said are virtually zero.
-
@pauloandrade22 said:
@Orion said:
The latter. If some people think other people nowadays are too sensitive, then what do they think of past generations, who literally murdered each other when they were offended?
They still do (unfortunatelly) Its still sad though.
Which just proves my point. People think those who complain about almost anything are "whiners" and "too sensitive", and decry it as "nowadays, people are too sensitive". Fact is, people have always been this sensitive, and even used to murder each other when they were offended.
Given the alternative, I'll take the whiners, thank you. At least they aren't so sensitive that they feel the need to kill whomever offended them.
-
@Vietfox said:
Ok, from now on i'm gonna stop taking you seriously (not that i was before tbh) if you are really gonna come around with that comparison.It's a simple historical fact, but since it doesn't fit into your narrative, you elect to ignore it. That's OK. I don't expect rationality from people like you.
-

@Vietfox said:
I know it's 2018 and people are so sensitive nowadays, but we need to put some limits on what's actually harmful.Yeah, it was way better in the past, where people killed each other when they were offended.

Which makes it objectively unfair.

Did you?
I said being fair is subjective in a game like this. There are many people that want some really stupid stuff to be put into this game simply because they think it's fair. I compared to whether or not survivors tolerate being camped or not, because just like what is fair in this game, is also completely subjective.
And I explained why "fair" is not subjective with an example.

Nope. In DbD, if a Survivor and Killer of comparable skill and knowledge go up against each other, the only way the Killer wins is if the Survivor makes mistakes. This is well known to be true, but some will deny it vehemently. It's also a major problem with game balance....I meant whenever or not they rage at campers...
Not about skill or winning.

The Nurse is only good because Survivors refuse to use her counters and treat her like any other Killer. Against Survivors who know what they're doing, she's as weak as any other Killer.

And they'll simply get dodged if they don't.One problem exists because of another. They shouldn't be addressed separately.
Killers will just DC with last-second switches or make sure last-second switchers die first and as annoyingly as possible. I'd rather they lobby dodge.
Trying to force people to play games they consider unfun will never work. Survivors need to get over themselves and accept that Killers are not going to play with them if they use things that are unbalanced.
